What Else You Need to KnowWith a blend of glycolic, tartaric, citric, and salicylic acids, T.L.C. Framboos™ delivers chemical exfoliation without dryness or sensitization, curbs excess oil, and reveals visible clarity and luminosity. It enhances the performance of other products by clearing the way for maximum absorption and has a pH of 3.8. This serum is free of essential oils, silicones, and fragrance. Drunk Elephant is committed to using only ingredients that either directly benefit the health of the skin or support the integrity of their formulations. The brand focuses on healthy pH levels, formulations the skin recognizes, small molecular structure that’s easily absorbed, and effective active ingredients that also support the skin’s acid mantle. All of their products are designed to be mixed together—what Drunk Elephant calls making a smoothie. (This is true for all of their products except their sunscreen, Umbra, which sits on top of the skin, protecting it from UV damage.) The result is skin that is reset to its happiest, healthiest state. Drunk Elephant is a supporter of IEF (International Elephant Foundation) and is cruelty-free. Exfoliating Acids x DermDoctor
Exfoliating Acids x DermDoctor
Exfoliating acids are an amazing addition to your skincare routine! They have multiple benefits including improving skin texture, tone, and uneven pigment. They also have anti-aging benefits and can minimize the appearance of wrinkles! Exfoliating acids should be used no more than 2x per week with leave on products. Face washes with acids can be used more often. Here’s my rules to the roads (there’s always exceptions, of course) and product picks: Glycolic acid: Most effective but can be irritating with sensitive skin or those who are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Salicylic acid: Best for oily, acne-prone skin NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum Lactic acid: Best for dry and combination skin. Exfoliates while hydrating, gentle on the skin, and my personal go-to! SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA Mandelic acid: Most gentle exfoliating acid. Best for sensitive skin and those prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA #cheriepartner

Products for pores!
Products for pores!
🐰My skin type/concerns- I have very dry skin in the winter and a normal skin type during the summer! Occasionally I will get bad acne throughout the year, I also have bad redness and hyperpigmentation, and pores! 🐰this review is for products I have tried to minimize my pores! ✅worked ❌didn’t work 🐭Product list: ✅Belif Aqua bomb moisturizer- I discovered this moisturizer about 8 months ago and fell in love! I love using this moisturizer morning and night, it is amazing at minimizing the look of my pores! I see a huge difference from before and after I use this! It’s amazing ingredients is everything that helps with my pores! ✅drunk elephant t.l.c serum- I discovered this serum from a friend recommending this to me after trying it and telling me how much it helped minimize her pores! I have been using this for about 6 months! I always use this at night because I know when I wake up my pores look super reduced and my skin is very soothed for when I start the day! I always use this right before applying eye cream and moisturizer! This serum is very lightweight and gives me the perfect hydration my skin needs, and is amazing with minimizing my pores overnight! ✅Glow recipes watermelon sleeping mask- I saw this all over social media when it came out, and when I saw some reviews for it I knew it would be perfect for my skin and I immediately bought it! I have been using this for about 6 months! I also only use this at night and whenever I use it before bed I see the biggest difference in my pores when I wake up! I use this right after I cleanse my face! The very thick consistency of this is super helpful before going to bed because I know I will wake up with super moisturized skin! ❌tatcha water cream- I found this moisturizer from a family member recommending it to me, and saying how much it helped with her pores! I saw the pricy price tag but I still went for it! I used it for a couple months of the summer, and it was perfect for my summer skin type! But when winter came around this was not giving my skin the hydration it needs, and I learned this is more for oily type skin! This didn’t change the look of my pores at all, I saw no difference when I used this at night and when I would wake up nothing changed! I used this as one of the last products in my routine!GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask TATCHA - The Water Cream DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. The three acids in my current
The three acids in my current rotation (and I love all of them for different reasons)! Drunkelephant TLC Framboos has been a staple in my routine for almost a year now! Can’t live without this one. It’s a glycolic night serum with a 12% AHA/BHA blend. It gave me immediate results from first use with evening out my skin tone and lightening some scars and dark spots. Farmacybeauty honeymoon glow has been in my routine for a few months, and I like to use this 1-2 times a week at night in place of the TLC framboos when I need a little extra exfoliation. This one is a 14% AHA/BHA blend with flower acids. It also contains their trademark GreenEnvy honey so this serum leaves your skin so moisturized I’ve sometimes used it and gone to bed without following up with a moisturizer and my skin still feels great when I wake up!  Sundayriley good genes has recently been brought into my routine. I’ve had samples before but never used it long term so I’m excited to see the results! Good Genes is a lactic acid based serum. Some people don’t like the smell, but I don’t mind it at all. I like this one in my morning routine as it’s been proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles after three minutes so it gives a nice smoothing effect. Of course, you always ALWAYS needs to follow up with SPF, especially when using in the morning. Using acids in my routine for regular exfoliation has been one step since getting into skincare that has really made a huge difference for me!

Enlarged Pores, Acne, Dull Skin?
Enlarged Pores, Acne, Dull Skin?
When it comes to congestion, acne, blackheads, and dullness, there are a lot of tips and a lot of products that promise smooth, clear skin. So let me simplify why I love these three ingredients for this myriad of issues. • Alpha Hydroxy Acid: Glycolic, lactic, citric, tartaric, mandelic, and malic acid melt the intercellular glue that holds dead skin cells together to your skin’s surface, helping along the skin’s natural shedding process to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. They’re considered hydrating, since they love water. AHAs offer mainly surface exfoliation, helping with uneven texture and dullness. • Beta Hydroxy Acid: Salicylic acid is the most common BHA, working similarly to AHAs in that they unglue dead skin cells to renew skin’s appearance. It is also oil-soluble, easily passing through sebum to allow BHAs to get into pores for deep exfoliation and normalization of the pore lining. This helps to reduce and prevent congestion, enlarged pores, and acne. • Niacinamide: A water-soluble precursor to two skin compounds that allow skin to repair damage, function normally, and make new skin cells. Topical application of niacinamide not only soothes current inflammation, but also increases the skin’s ability to neutralize free radicals, preventing future irritation and collagen breakdown, making it an awesome ingredient for aging and/or sensitive skin. Another anti-aging and sensitivity bonus: niacinamide helps increase ceramide production, strengthening the lipid barrier and allowing it to retain moisture more effectively. For acne prone folks, there have been two very promising and substantiating studies that show that 4% Niacinamide applied twice daily is as effective for moderate acne as 1% clindamycin. That’s impressive! As well, niacinamide application inhibits oil production, contributing to its skill for keeping pores minimized in appearance as well as reducing acne.

Drunk Elephant Hair & Body Line... On Your Face?
Drunk Elephant Hair & Body Line... On Your Face?
Did y’all know that legitimately every product from the new Drunk Elephant release can be used on the face? That’s how biocompatible and “clean” they are. I will be reviewing the other three products (Shampoo, Conditioner, Deodorant) as facial products as well, since they were also cleared as face-safe 👀 DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub - Babyfacial a bit too much for you? Try Happi Scalp as a once-per-week 10-minute peel, blending physical and chemical exfoliation for baby-soft skin AND a refreshed scalp. The cellulose beads were a gentle and non-irritating scrub that I’m excited to use again! I liked this a lot and feel like the AHA concentration is low enough to allow me to use it once per week versus the two week wait between Babyfacial uses my sensitive skin requires. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Wild Marula Tangle Spray - It makes my hair soft, it makes my face soft, it fits in my purse without threatening to spill, and it’s only $25 USD. I used this as a moisturizing facial spray quite a few times when it was released, but now it’s gotten too hot and humid for liberal oil application on my combo self. But if you have dry skin, this would be an easy way to refresh your skin mid-day. Spritz, pat, enjoy your dewiness. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Kamili Cream Body Cleanser - Beste No 9 a bit too much for your dry skin? Since it’s a cream cleanser, I find Kamili leaves my skin very soft while still cleansing effectively. Since I’m lazy, this has been my go-to shower cleanser for face and body. It did have trouble removing makeup so I’d stick to using it in the AM, after the gym, or when you’re only wearing sunscreen.
