Get rid of dry patches instantly -Peeling gels
Get rid of dry patches instantly -Peeling gels
Do you get large or small dry flakey patches because of either colder weather or retinoids or acne treatments? I do get these dry flakey patches all the time with my retinoid use and sometimes when the air gets dry around me. But that isn't the main concern for me, these dry patches come in my way of getting a good flawless foundation routine. When I have an event or meeting to attend and if I have these dry patches it's hard for me to moisturize them and keep them moisturized and look good under my makeup. There was only one solution to such dry fkakey skin, that is Exfoliation!! I figured the quick exfoliating masks and solutions (chemical exfoliation) work but they did not get rid of those dry patches completely. So I tried these peeling gels before my morning shower and vola!! They instantly removed my dry patches and made my skin super soft and smooth for a flawless makeup application!! 😍❤️ I love using these both, @wishful Yo Glow enzyme scrub HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub @saturdayskin Rub-A-Dub Refining peel gel SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel ✨ These both are refining physical exfoliators that work by creating white balled up action and pills when you rub it gently on your skin. They generally have chemical exfoliants as well like Papaya and pineapple enzymes as well as physical exfoliators. The lightweight, milky texture gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities for immediate results that also makes the perfect canvas for seamless makeup application. You start off with a watery gel like this, which you spread over your face then you see the product balling up on your face creating this weird peeled skin texture. ✨But have you Wondered what is it exactly?? Is it your skin falling off or peeling that way? Is it just the product that's balling up and not exfoliate skin well? or is it just a gimmick?? The Answer is: peeling gels are actually a very gentle physical scrub – the scrubbing bits are the soft, bunched up fibres, which are usually made of bunched up acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer* (sometimes listed as “carbomer” in the ingredients list). Some gels also contain a lot of cellulose, which adds to the bunching effect (this is usually in the opaque ones) ☑️😍Conclusion: Peeling gels aren’t chemical exfoliants – they’re gentle physical exfoliants (scrubs). The fibres form from ingredients that are in the gel to begin with, balling up from the rubbing motion with some help from oils on your skin. There will be a small amount of dead skin in there too. I am a fan of Peeling gels, they definitely help me a lot with instant exfoliation without being crazy abrasive on my skin. This is the evidence I like physical exfoliants as much as I love chemical ones. 😊❤️ Have you used Peeling gels? Do you like them? Share your thoughts ❤️

My obsession with @saturday_skin is so real so when I got the opportunity to try their Squeak Peel Gel I was squealing with excitement 🌝 see what I did there 😂. Well anyway, let’s get down to it... • Refining Peel Gel works with natural enzymes and powerful peptides by allowing you to gently rub away impurities and soothe your skin at the same time. The gel helps to gently pick up impurities that dull the skin, and in result, skin will appear more refined, bright, and firm. • Natural cellulose fibers from European beech and spruce trees help pick up "gunk" from your skin naturally and gently. (ECO CERT certified) NO MICROBEADS! Bead-like component is also made of the above! :) •Great for all skin types, Formulated without parabens, sulfates, or synthetic fragrances/colors. Cruelty-free and dermatologist tested. _____________________________ I absolutely LOVED this product. I got sunburned last weekend and my face has been looking less than stellar. Using this my skin bounced right back. As you massage it into your skin, beads of skin form as you glide across your skin. Your skin is left feeling and looking bright, smooth and fresh. This limited edition package (pink rubber duck included) can be found at @sephora For $29. • I do try to only use this product 1-2 times per week to avoid drying my skin out. I have seen such a huge improvement in my overall texture and appearance. • if you’re looking for a gentle yet effective face scrub/exfoliant look no further.

Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Let's get to know about exfoliants more! No matter if you're a skincare junkie, expert or just a beginner, skin exfoliation can be very tricky and confusing and most of the mainstream skin advices can be minimally backed by science and geared towards selling the product or giving you false information. That's how skincare myths are formed. I'm talking about some pretty known myths about Exfoliation : ✨Like, Physical exfoliants/scrubs are bad for your skin and they cause micro-tears that lead to infection or they're worse than Chemical exfoliants: Physical exfoliants that contain irregular granular sizes and shapes are definitely going to irritate your skin. But if you're a well-experienced skincare person or someone who knows how to handle gentle, small granular exfoliants well like professionals, in such hands it can be a very effective. Take Micro-dermabrasion or Dermaplaning for instance. If you haven't done it before it's likely to cause you some irritation, I wouldn't say damage as it's a truly strong and deep term to use. Our skin can naturally heal itself to a large degree, that self-healing capability can be overstressed with exogenous (outside/physical) factors and sometimes Indogenous (inner) factors such as your ethnicity, genetics and some skin conditions like dermititis, rosacea or psoriasis. So, my point here is, the myth that only physical exfoliators cause any damage to our skin is incorrect. On top of that, physical exfoliants cause micro-tears is a far stretched myth that doesn't have enough scientific evidence to support. The thing about it is anything harsh on our skin is going to cause inflammation and redness but chemical exfoliants can cause the same if done too much. For our skin to break or tear and get a cut there needs to be a lot of pressure and sharpness to the object. The scrubs don't necessarily tear/cut our skin unless you're rubbing it too harsh or with a lot of pressure and over-doing it. Chemical exfoliators can overstress and irritate our skin at the same degree as well, if overdone. Damage is a strong word for any skincare regimen that is backed by science. It's a fairly vast topic to discuss here but here's the crux of the topic that I'm trying to highlight. Not over-exfoliating is the only key to keep our skin healthy and non-irritated. Be it physical or chemical exfoliants. We need some of the dead skin cells on our Stratum Corneum. Meaning, we should let our Stratum Corneum have a layer of some dead skin cells along with it's biome. The diverse yet integrated functions of the SC collectively serve to detect, protect, respond, and/or adapt against several exogenous factors. Now, why I like or majority of people like chemical exfoliants is because they seem to be hustle free, you apply a thin layer and leave it overnight or for few minutes and it thins down our Stratum Corneum that is the deal skin cells on our skin as well as penetrates deeper in skin and decongests it. But for many people chemical exfoliants can be quite intimidating and if they like to do manual Exfoliation it's totally fine as long as they're not putting a lot of pressure and overdoing it. ✔️👍 I like both physical and chemical exfoliation. I use these chemical facial peeling solutions or masks as well as gentle scrubs to take care of my dead skin. These are some of the exfoliators I use. These are all types of exfoliators, Physical - Scrubs, Peeling gels Chemical - Facial AHA, BHA masks, solutions, in shower facials These are the ones I don't find so attractive for the price: Scrubs: 1. @avantskincare Gentle Rose beautifying facial exfoliant 114$avant - Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant The ones I like: Scrubs: 1. @skinandco Face gommage 26$SKIN&CO - Truffle Therapy Gommage Peeling gels: 1. @wishfulskin Yo Glow enzyme scurb 39$HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub 2. @saturdayskin Rub-a-dub Refining peel gel 28$SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel Instant Facial masks/solutions: 1. @theordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 7.20$The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 2. @olehenriksen PHAT Glow Facial™ Mask 50$OLE HENRIKSEN - PHAT Glow Facial Mask 3. @aveeno POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 Second In-Shower Facial Aveeno - Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial Cleanser

Is Peel gel worth the hype?Which one is better?
Is Peel gel worth the hype?Which one is better?
Peeling gel is relatively new hype in the skincare community and a lot of brands these days are bringing such peeling gels in the market! There are many tyles of such peel gels available mostly inspired from K-beauty brands and I have thought about these two! ✨Firstly, what is peeling gel/enzyme srub?? ➡️Peeling gels help dissolve dead skin cells. When it is applied, it will ball up in tiny pieces, extracting dead skin cells as you gently rub the product on your face. The product reacts to the oil on the surface of your skin and creates clumps that help pick up dead skin cells. Not a lot of people compare these two but when I first heard about @wishful Glow enzyme scrubHUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub I instantly thought about @saturdayskin Skin refining peel gel. SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel ✨ They're very similar in function and application. ✨Both contain Papaya and Pineapple (Bromelain/ Ananas) extract ✨Glow enzyme scrub has AHA and BHA in it Saturday skin peel gel doesn't have it. ✨Pineapple extract works as natural gentle exfoliant anyway so there is mild chemical exfoliation that takes place in both of them. ✨Both have added perfume or essential oils to mask the chemical smell ✨Glow enzyme scrub is more liquidy than Saturday skin peel gel. It is thick gel scrub that lasts longer than Glow enzyme scrub. ✨Glow enzyme scrub has strong (perfume like) fragrance that I found a bit overwhelming. Saturday skin peel gel doesn't have overwhelming fragrance. ✨Both work similar way in peeling and forming white cellulite particles that look like dead skin coming off of your skin surface but actually that's just the product reacting with facial oils and binding together that way. ✨The results with using both of these are similar, smooth soft skin and over the time they both reduce the appearance of fine lines, texture and hyperpigmentation. 🌿My experience and conclusion: ✨These both help in giving you a smooth, soft skin instantly after each application. Does it work like chemical exfoliants? No. But it definitely helps in getting rid of some dead skin. ✨So which one do I think is better? @saturdayskin peel gel is much better in my opinion!! ❤️ Saturdayskin costs 28$ for 75 ml and Glow enzyme costs 39$ for 100$. But @saturdayskin peel gel lastsonger as you don't need a lot of it and because of it's thick texture you end up squeezing lesser than Glow enzyme. ☝️ It's a great product to have in your skincare collection although it's not necessary 👍 Have you tried this product??💖✨

GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer is such an amazing lightweight summer-time moisturizer! I love that it smells like watermelon. It can also be used as a serum before a thicker moisturizer if your skin needs some extra TLC!😍 PETER THOMAS ROTH - Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask is a really nice face mask that smells fantastic! I didn’t really notice any major effects after using it, but it did appear to slightly firm and tighten my skin. SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel is one of my favorite chemical exfoliants! It uses papaya enzyme to slough away dead skin cells with exfoliating beads for a gentle physical exfoliation as well. Saturday Skin’s packaging is also so cute! innisfree - Dewy Glow Emulsion with Jeju Cherry Blossom smells like cherry blossoms!! This Korean beauty brand always has the cutest packaging! I felt like this moisturizer was too lightweight for me, but goes nicely under a thicker moisturizer when I need extra hydration!

SaturdaySkin's rub-a-dub Refin
SaturdaySkin's rub-a-dub Refining Peel Gel and I’m seriously obsessed! This here is a dermatologist tested, paraben, sulfate, synthetic fragrance, synthetic color and cruelty-free peeling gel formulated with natural enzymes like papaya, bromelain (sourced from pineapples ) and powerful peptides for a gentle removal of impurities and dead skin from the surface of the skin. Natural cellulose fibers from European beech and spruce trees also aid in picking up gunk from the skin gently and naturally. How I like to use this gel is twice over - I rub it all over my face in circular motions for the first time around, get some dead skin off of there, wash it all off, then for a deeper cleanse I like to apply it all over my face again and really rub a lot on one particular area until all the dead skin is gone. Gross, but oh so satisfying. I am so incredibly pleased with the results from using this - my skin is left *so* soft and so smooth, and all the extra dead skin I had on and around my nose, that no physical scrubs have been helpful with, vanished. This little guy is a miracle worker. Also, can we please talk about how adorable the packaging is?! Saturday Skin, thank you so much for blessing my skin with this treasure
