Products I've tried to treat acne....
I have combination-oily and sensitive skin. I was also acne-prone for 7 years and I still have acne scars. I'll be sharing some products I've tried before. 💦Facial Cleanser -Chanel La Mousse Anti-Pollution Cleansing Cream-To-Foam A gentle, paste-like facial cleanser suitable for sensitive skin and evening use. Rub to create a foamy lather before use or use it with a facial cleansing massager. -CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser A morning facial cleanser. Those with sensitive and fragile skin can consider cleansing in the evening. 💦Essence SK-II - Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) It increases skin immunity if used long-term. It also won't cause acne breakouts and is super refreshing! It's effective in lightening acne scars but does nothing for pockmarks. LA MER - The Treatment Lotion A small amount is enough for the whole face. I find it a little sticky for me and I don't feel like it adds anything to my skincare routine. SK-II - Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner As a double cleanser before using a toner, I don't suggest daily use for sensitive, acne-prone skin as I don't feel it doing much at all. Albion Essential Skin Conditioner It cleared acne effectively at the beginning. But somehow it didn't work as well after a while. I still use it as a lotion mask sometimes. SHISEIDO - Eudermine Revitalizing Essence Strongly not recommended! It has a really sticky texture and causes acne breakouts. 💦Serum SHISEIDO - Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate I highly recommend you to use this after a toner. It's non-greasy and it won't cause breakouts. It keeps your skin healthy if you use it long term! I think it has a restorative effect. LA MER - LA MER The Concentrate It repairs damaged skin and lightens acne scars, but I won't suggest everyday use as it causes bumps. Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate It also features restoration effects and I normally use it after applying Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate. I'll squeeze three drops onto my palm, then rub it between my palms until it's warm and massage it onto my face. It also doesn't cause acne breakouts! You'll find your skin feeling rejuvenated the next day. 💦Facial Cream SK-II - R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Cream I think it's too thick and heavy for oily skin during summer, but it's suitable for winter use. It's also suitable for acne-prone skin. LA MER - LA MER The Moisturizing Soft Cream LA MER - The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream I suggest the soft cream for winter use. It has a great scent and it won't cause acne breakouts. However, you'll find your skin oily the next day. I suggest the gel cream for summer use, but those with severe acne-prone skin can skip this step.

LA MER - The Treatment Lotion SIZE: 5 oz/ 150 mL $195.00 CAD Another star product of LA MER. This is also one of their best selling products. This is a fast-absorbing treatment targeting dry, normal and combination. My mom is a sensitive and she finds it very gentle on her face as well. The texture is much thicker than most in the market. However, it is Super moisturizing without the stickiness and not sticky at all. I use it after cleansing, and before applying Serum and moisturizer. I feel like this is an essential product! I always have it in stock and use it when my skin is in worst conditions. It’s really hydrated and helped calm my irritated skin, reduce redness and provide some hydration. I also noticed that when I added this. All my serums and moisturizers and creams seemed to work so much better. It really sets up the skin to receive the proceeding steps and absorb the product fully. This bottle is almost empty and I’ll keep purchasing this product. Definitely top of my list for years and highly recommended. SK-II - Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) SIZE: 2.5 oz/ 75 mL $129.00 CAD This SKII is a powerful treatment for normal, dry and combination to reduce the appearance of dark spots and fine lines due to dryness. It’s a very lightweight liquid. The main ingredient Pitera is the patent of SKII that contains over 50 micronutrients like vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and natural acids to condition skin. As a combination, I really love this lotion. This is my third bottle. I use bare hand to put on face. It looks just like water but it’s magic water with all the ingredients that helps make your face hydrated, smooth, texture color of the skin more even. After 2 years of using it, my skin appears more radiant and is noticeably softer to the touch. It's like getting a mini facial at home, and a little goes a long way. If you donot mind the high price too much then it is worth it. It works, overnight skin becomes smooth and radiance, and after a few days it looks tighten. Pretty sure using this resulted in my cystic acne disappearing. I have to say, these two Worth Every Penny!

✨ Luxury Skincare - La Mer ✨
My skin type is typically normal oily, but has been leaning towards normal or normal dry due to using a topical acne cream from my dermatologist and it drying my skin out some. Due to this, acne and hydration are my main skin concerns. I got this ~faNcY~ LA MER - The Treatment Lotion in a Sephora Favorites set a couple months ago that was suited for dry skin! I kept putting off using it because it was so fancy and didn’t want to waste it lol. I decided to grab this specific Sephora Favorites set because it included a couple of mini size products that had been on my wishlist to try and my skin has been more dry so I knew I’d try everything. . Online at Sephora and by the name, I was expecting a thick lotion type product, but it more like a liquid, essence type product. It has a noticeable scent, I’m not sure how to describe it but kind of smells like baby wipes to me lol. It claims to be a fast absorbing treatment that delivers hydration to visibly soften, nurture, and improve the appearance of skin’s texture and support the rest of your La Mer regimen. Their site notes it’s key ingredients include Miracle Broth, Revitalizing Ferment and Softening Waters and that it’s formulated without parabens, phthalates and sulfates. . I used this as more of an essence/serum type product in my routine in between washing my face and moisturizer. It did make my skin somewhat more hydrated and calmed down my skin, but nothing more than any essence or hyaluronic acid serum does. The full size of this at 5 oz costs $165, while there’s a 3.5 oz size for $115. I don’t like how they market that it needs to be used with their other products to make a routine, each product should stand out alone and make you want to purchase it and not make you feel like you need to purchase a whole routine from one brand to actually see results. The price point is very off putting as well, especially when you need to use it consistently to see results. It was just an average product to me and didn’t like the strong fragrance, so I definitely will not be purchasing the full size in the future. This brand is just paying for the name, the Ordinary and Good Molecules make great budget friendly products and you can through in a few extra products if you want to splurge. . #cheriepartner
LA MER-The Treatment Lotion
🌞My summer skincare routine for dry skin is...
1.LA MER - The Treatment Lotion The Treatment Lotion is, if you are familiar with this sort of thing, a lotion aka essence aka “toner” in traditional parlance. It is a product that you use after cleansing and before your serums and moisturiser, and serves the purpose of hydrating and preparing your skin for the skincare that follows. The key function is that of hydration and also to “recharge” your skin and you know me. Words like “hydrating” and “recharge” really get me going 😀 The Treatment Lotion has a rather interesting gel-liquid texture. It is a rather thick liquid but runny, so I can’t call it a gel either. It is very viscous and spreads very easily on the skin. According to the instructions and to the SA at the counter who briefed me on this, you can do one of two things. You can either:- * Saturate a cotton pad and then wipe it over your skin or * Put a few drops in the palm of your hand and apply it to your skin I opt for the latter method – why waste this precious liquid on a cotton pad when I don’t have to? I usually drop about 3 drops of lotion into my palm, spread it out between my palms and then apply it to my face and neck. It spreads very easily and absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky residue. 2. GUERLAIN - Abeille Royale Youth Watery Anti-Aging Oil According to Guerlain, the Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil is a revolutionary formula that combines the power of a serum, the richness of an oil and the freshness of a lotion. Replenishing micro-drops of oil are released at the very last minute to leave your complexion looking radiant. Your skin appears instantly smoother, plumper and revitalized. It offers skin all the power of Guerlain-exclusive ingredients Ouessant black bee honey, highly concentrated in this balm, and royal jelly, which work together to combat visible and future signs of aging. The Ouessant Honey offers essential ingredients to revitalize the skin. It also contains Guerlain Exclusive Royal Jelly. This Royal Jelly is rich in exceptional nutrients and is a natural source of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and vitamins. It is produced in a protected environment and offers exceptional benefits for the skin. At first impression, I found the fragrance a bit off-putting. Don’t get me wrong; it smells beautiful! The scent was created by famous perfumer Thierry Wasser, and described as “sunshine nectar with notes of honey, fresh and airy fragrances.” I want to put it all over my body! But initially, I felt that I probably shouldn’t be putting something that smells this good on my face. I got over that quickly. I’m not sensitive to fragrance, and I do believe in the power scent. I feel if a product smells amazing it just makes the experience more enjoyable. However, if you are sensitive to fragrance, you will not enjoy this face oil. The oil is not watery as the name describes, it feels rather rich to me which I don’t mind. Guerlain recommends that you press the oil into the skin and massage upwards. There’s a tutorial you can watch if you’re interested. I do the massage in the evening, but not in the mornings when I’m in a hurry. I don’t use oil every day: it’s expensive, and I don’t feel I need it every day. After I use it my skin feels a little tacky; but not uncomfortable or greasy. Immediately my skin feels supple and soft. It also works well under makeup, and I have mixed it with foundation and liked the results. 3. sisley - Ecological Compound The compound is essentially a very light fluid moisturiser and it contains among others Ginseng to revitalise the skin, Rosemary and Hops to stimulate, Horsetail to re-mineralise and tone, and Centella Asiatica to regenerate and revitalise the skin. Unfortunately the Compound doesn’t contain any SPF, which would have been ideal. However, I suspect that SPF is often what makes my skin break out, so on the other hand I actually don’t mind. Whenever I need it I can just use another SPF on top. It also means that it is suitable for use as a night cream, although personally I prefer to use it just as a day cream and use a thicker cream at night! Again, the Compound is a very light moisturiser, and hence it absorbs instantly into the skin, leaving it feels incredibly thoroughly moisturised and so soft and smooth and with a matte feeling and a nice glowing sheen. It leaves absolutely no greasiness or stickiness behind. It is absolutely perfect for my combination skin, and works brilliantly under makeup. Often intense moisturisers make my skin feel congested and make it break out, but I am very pleased to say that hasn’t been the case with the Ecological Compound for the month or so that I’ve been using it. On the contrary, I actually feel that my skin is not only thoroughly nourished, it actually also seems to have normalised, so that it feels less greasy. And overall my skin simply feels and looks healthy and radiant!

My lazy-day routine 1👇👇
1.LA MER - The Treatment Lotion Except for SKII lotion, this is my favorite lotion. The main function of this treatment lotion is to repair, moisturize and brighten. As for its’ function of brighten, many bloggers did not mention. But after I used it, my skin was really brighter than before. The price is a little high for the size of the bottle, but it is definitely worth it. The moisturizer is extremely light weight but delivers all day moisture and non-oily skin. The product goes a long way and will last about 3 months according to my use. I apply the product once in the morning and once in the evening. If needed, I will apply a bit more throughout the day depending on the weather. My skin is extremely sensitive and every other product/brand I have purchased has caused breakouts and irritation. However, this product has calmed and nourished my skin. It has also balanced out the redness of my skin to deliver a balanced completion. I will definitely continue to purchase this product. It is a kind of thick and transparent liquid. It is thick but not so sticky. The treatment lotion is very light and spreads well. Once applied on the face, it absorbs super fast. Both mixed skin and dry skin can be used, and oily skin may feel poorly absorbed. As for the price, because it has two different capacity bottles, the price is different. A 100ml bottle is $105 and 150ml bottle is $150. I can say that It has a very high cost performance. 2.LANCÔME - Absolue Revitalizing Eye Cream I received the Absolue Revitalizing Eye Cream as a sample when purchasing other Lancome products at a local department store, and I tried it right away... I love this product!😍 A little goes a long way. It makes my under eye area feel so hydrated and yet not greasy at all. I have used it in the past and does help minimize the dark circles and definitely helps with the fine lines. I switched over to the absolue eye (white container) and I prefer the precious cells one so much better. My eyes just feel better and see more results. I had very quick results and found the delicate skin under my eyes to appear brighter and less "tired". This also works quite well on fine lines and wrinkles. I asked for more of this cream as a birthday present and am keeping my fingers crossed that my BFF comes through! Actually my mom bought this eye cream too and she is the pickiest person bc she tend to have allergies around her eye to products. This is the only product out of many that has significantly helped around her eye area puffiness and deep crows feet without making her tear up or even irritate the skin.

Believe the HYPE? No! I found my personalized skincare combo😜😜
I have combination-dry skin and have accidentally bought a lot of products I dislike. SK-II - Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) turned my combination-dry skin into sensitive, peeling skin with easily visible blood vessel dilation while the SK-II - R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Cream and the ESTĒE LAUDER - Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex increased my bumps, so I have been really careful to purchase the smallest size of these products to try them out. Finally, I found this perfect combination for dry skin. LA MER - The Treatment Lotion After cleansing, squeeze 3 drops and gently pat it on your face. It's non-greasy and it effectively reduces blood vessel dilation. GUERLAIN - Abeille Royale Youth Watery Anti-Aging Oiland GUERLAIN - Abeille Royale Double R Serum These two are definitely the perfect combination! Normally, I shake the Youth Watery Oil before use, then rub three drops of it between my palms until it's warm, then gently pat and massage it onto my face. After that, I apply the Renew and Repair Serum with the same steps, and it doesn't become pasty. This combination focuses on minimizing the appearance of pores. It doesn't feel oily on your nose and chin the next day as it effectively adjusts the skin's water-oil balance. It's also great in reducing blood vessel dilation and leaves the skin very supple. sisley - Ecological Compound People has very polarized opinions regarding this facial cream. I've experienced bumps after using it until I found a new way to use it. I'll squeeze one pump onto my palm, then rub it between my palms until it's warm and emulsified, then massage it onto my face until fully absorbed. Don't apply it onto your face directly after pumping it out. You have to wait until it's fully absorbed before proceeding to the next step. If you have combination-dry or sensitive skin with visible blood vessels and you want to maintain your skin stability, then you must try out this combination! You can see the difference in just a month!😍😍

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
