The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser
Why Cherie Love ItThis award-winning daily gel cleanser with natural fruit exfoliant thoroughly but gently lifts impurities and unclogs pores while leaving skin soft and hydrated. With the help of Japanese wild rose, it also visibly tightens pores and smoothes skin texture.
Why It's Special“Love love love this cleanser! I’ve been wanting to try Tatcha and went with this. It’s exfoliating but a light exfoliant that is not abrasive to your skin. I have dry to normal skin and dealing with some texture and it cleared up all my bumps and texture. 10/10 would buy again.”

🚰 water-based /amino acid rich cleansers
I’ve accumulated a few mini cleansers through gift sets & Sephora points & as I began to research the ingredients I found a lot of similarities. So I figured why not review them side by side. 🥥💧Of course their ingredients do differ, but easily comparable. Each of these cleansers are water-based (1st ingredient in all 3) & all contain a combination of Glycerin & various Coconut Oil derivatives as their first 6 ingredients. Each cleanser also contains Amino Acids! These are the building blocks of Proteins & Peptides. Each Amino Acid performs a specific function in skin care. Certain Amino Acids occur naturally in our skin & work together with Aquaporins (the water transport system of your body) to replenish moisture through the dermis layers. Amino Acids our bodies make are considered non-essential. Essential Amino Acids are the ones your body cannot naturally produce. Some work as Antioxidants, but most Amino Acids actually help your skin to reproduce its own Antioxidants. The 9 essential ones are: Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Valine & my personal favorite Tryptophan🥛 *I’m a double-cleanserer; currently using: YVES SAINT LAURENT - Top Secrets Universal Makeup Remover Balm in Oil keep postponing a full review on this even though I use it everyday, idk😚 🔮TATCHA - The Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser $35/4 oz This is a rich cleanser & I love it. It feels really nourishing! If you’re a fan of their rice powders, you should definitely try- this leaves your skin feeling more hydrated! Strong scent-floral/herbal. 🧼TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser $38/5 oz First off, I’ve heard many complaints about the bottle & how it dispenses. A nay.nay first- She figured out how to open something “complicated” instead of youtubing how to open some simple af product😂 🕳It has a tiny hole to dispense, & it’s odd, but the backside of the bottle is a thinner plastic than the logo side, & you actually push the back of the bottle, & it dispenses fine! I got to every last drop💧 The formula is a lovely texture; it’s kinda thick, which I like in a cleanser because I can control it better. The physical exfoliant in this is quite gentle, the only physical exfoliant I like to use on my face is sugar, but these little bits of Luffa fruit are very tiny, sparse & gentle. Yes, it’s the same Luffa you’re thinking of! I included a pic of the plant in the slides. I loved this cleanser most out of the 3, found myself reaching for it the most. The scent isn’t as strong as Rice Wash. It’s not stripping at all, but my face feels so clean! It’s kept my skin clear, it creates a nice rich lather without much product, I’m def considering buying the full size! 💌fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash $38/5.1 oz Just not a fan. It certainly doesn’t remove makeup on its own. Smells lovely of cucumbers, but feels goopy & slippery.

💜Tatcha Brand Spotlight 💜
💜this week I decided to spotlight Tatcha & decide what I love & don’t love as much from this brand! I’ve only ever tried their Silk Canvas Primer & loved it. I honestly can say I love everything! It was amazing on my skin! 😊I love Tatcha products, makeup & skincare & I love the way my skin looks & feels after I use them! My least favorite out of all of them, would be the water cream, I just don’t think it is as hydrating as I would like in a moisturizer since I have dry/sensitive skin. I prefer the dewy skin cream, deep cleanse & Violet-C serum! My skin soaked up all of the amazing ingredients for a super glowy look. I defiantly would like to purchase the full size dewy skin cream, my skin loves that! It doesn’t break out or irritate my skin, it’s super gentle yet effective & really moisturizes my skin. 💜Price Vs. Size? •Dewy Skin cream - $68 for 1.7oz, worth it for me! •Water Cream - $68 for 1.7oz, not worth it for me •Violet-C Serum - $88 for 1oz, worth it! •Deep Cleanse - $38 for 5oz, worth it!! 🍬🍃TATCHA MINIS HAUL🍃🍬
💜This is a recent Tatcha haul I scooped from Sephora with my VIB discount & saved up points, but I definitely placed an order today on tatcha.com to take advantage of their 20% off sale. Such a good time to purchase from Tatcha! I grabbed a couple old 5 star favorites like the Gold Spun lip balm & their Japanese blotting papers, as well as some other things I’ve been wanting to check out. Tatcha is actually an American brand, made in Japan🇯🇵, that adheres to Japan’s official safety & purity standards, one of the highest in the world, much stricter than the US (for more on that, check out my last post, or the 2015 documentary on Netflix called Stink) They were recently acquired by Unilever, so I hope they don’t ever change their standards! Tatcha sources all of their botanical extracts, ingredients & actives from plants grown in the most renowned provenances of Japan. 🍵🍚🌊Their formulas revolve around key ingredients Green Tea, Rice & Seaweed, the trinity of superfoods, rich in both nutrients & Japanese history, based on a Japanese document from 1813 which captured the beauty rituals of the time. ➕Their 2x fermented ‘Hadasei-3 complex’ yields over 85 actives like Enzymes, Minerals, Lactic & Amino Acids. It’s been a couple years since I’ve purchased Tatcha products, I’ve always loved their face creams, but we all know Tatcha is pricey!!! I think I was just always into moving on & trying something new, but oh how I missed them! I haven’t had as much luck with Tatcha cleansers in the past, I do adore their rice polish exfoliators 🍚 but personally was never a fan of the ‘One Step Camellia cleansing oil’ scent. I don’t think I’ve ever tried ‘The Deep Cleanse’ but I’m actually most excited to try their new cream cleanser: ‘The Rice Wash’🍚💦 I was also excited to finally try ‘The Silk Peony melting eye cream’ too, so this set was a no brainer! TATCHA - Pure & Glowing Trio set: $72 The ‘Pure & Glowing Trio’ set includes: a full size 1.7 oz Dewy Skin cream ($68) a 1.7 oz Rice Wash cleanser (full size is $35/4 oz) & 0.17 oz Silk Peony eye cream (full size $60/.5 oz) 🍬For now I’m just gonna share texture swatches & ingredients, but stay tuned... I’ll be rating everything in full review of every product coming soon! 💧TATCHA - Balanced Skin Duo The other products pictured are minis from a ‘Sephora Beauty Insider’ 300-point option that included: one mini ‘The Deep Cleanse’ 0.85 oz & one mini ‘The Water Cream’ 0.34 oz TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser Full size: $38/5 oz TATCHA - The Water Cream Full size $68/1.7 oz 💜In the meantime, check out that sale! And tell me your favorite Tatcha product(s) in the comments... or tell me about the ones that didn’t work for you!

A jelly scrub - Tatcha deep exfoliating cleans
Something is happening on my face! Can u imagine a jelly scrub? Tatcha is perfect for sensitive skin! I have used tons of exfoliating cleansers but this one is irreplaceable!🥳 💦Texture: It’s consist of numerous jelly particles — feels like pulp! 🧖♀️How to use: Driven by curiosity, I usually squeeze a pump and add some water into it. Scrub tends to be rough and cause irritation result , so I held my breath firstly. However, I realized it’s so unnecessary because Tatcha deep cleanse exfoliating cleanser never hurt me! I just need to enjoy the massage of jelly particles! 🌟Effect: It claims to gently lifts the impurities and unclogs pores while leaving skin soft and hydrated. I think it works. Without expectation, this exfoliating cleanser not only clean my pores, but also remove my blackheads&whiteheads. After using it, my skin is soft and glow. Now I am addicted to using it during am. and pm. 🌜Rating: Honestly speaking I will give this one 4.5 star. But it seems not be allowed on Cherie. Why isn’t it full star? It’s really expensive for me: $38. And tatcha doesn’t belong to those “ a little goes a long way” product. I run out a sample in half month. Anyway, highly recommend Tatcha gel exfoliating cleanser for those who have problems about pores and blackheads! Hope u enjoy it!
TATCHA-The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser
Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser
I’ve been trying out the Tatcha ‘The Deep Cleanse’ Exfoliating Cleanser for about a week now because it was in the Pore Perfecting Moisturiser & Cleanser duo that I bought awhile back. I wanted to try their Water Cream that is also in the set, but their Deep Cleanse cleanser was a welcome bonus 😜 This product is meant to be a gel cleanser that unclogs pores, clears impurities, while keeping your skin soft and hydrated at the same time. Although it is mainly targeted for oily skin, redness, and uneven skin texture, Tatcha claims that this cleanser is gentle enough that all skin types can give it a try - maybe except sensitive skin as this has a little physical exfoliation beads in the gel. For me, I have normal to dry skin and I didn’t think that this cleanser was particularly stripping or harsh on my skin, which can be the case for some foaming cleansers targeted at people with oily skin. The texture of this cleanser isn’t as lightweight or airy as other gel cleansers in the market. Is there such a thing as a “dense gel texture”? You get what I mean. 🤭 Anyway, it also has very fine exfoliating particles in the formula which helps to scrub away at any impurities I might have at the end of the day! Physical exfoliators have been a HUGE no-no recently but I didn’t think this was as harsh as I expected, so that’s a huge bonus for me. 😂 While I like the exfoliating beads in this, I don’t think I’m a big fan of the dense texture, but this could simply be because I’m so used to gel cleansers that are lightweight. There’s no particular downside to this heavier texture other than my own personal preference haha. Overall though, I would think that this cleanser is pretty alright. It works, but it’s not a miracle worker. One thing I was pleasantly surprised about was that my skin still felt soft after cleansing (as per Tatcha’s claims!) because I was expecting my skin to feel super stripped and “squeaky” clean after cleansing. This cleanser also does a pretty good job of clearing away any dirt/impurities, so that’s nice as well. Also, I have to say that I appreciate the little exfoliating beads in this! Regardless, I don’t think this cleanser is an appropriate daily cleanser for me - I still prefer something gentler and milder for everyday cleansing. The price tag doesn’t help either. 38 USD for a 150ml bottle is a little hefty for me, and not really worth it for a daily cleanser. Personally I doubt I’d repurchase this MAINLY because its too expensive, but I might recommend this to friends who can afford to splurge and like a little gentle exfoliation to accompany their cleansing. ☪️ Falling in love is incomplete until you find the missing piece to complete you, that one you feel is your soulmate. ☪️ andddd I have found my skincare soulmate. It was my first time trying out @tatcha skincare and it was an amazing experience. I totally understand the hype. I picked this set up to treat myself after stressing out about my medical school interview. This is their Bestsellers Set. It comes with The Deep Cleanse, The Water Cream, The Silk Canvas, and the Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. They are the mini deluxe sizes which gives you enough time to try and test the products. I started using this as soon as I got it (last Thursday) and so I don’t have a thorough review yet so my review is mostly first impressions. ☪️ The Deep Cleanse: I really enjoy using this cleanser! At first I was kind of surprised by the physical exfoliating particles but it didn’t hurt my face at all. The scent of the product was also amazing and soothing. When I went on their website, the particles are apparently ground fibers from the Japanese Luffa fruit. This fruit is known for deeply purifying and decongesting pores all the while conditioning the skin. I loved how it just made me feel a luxurious and fancy 🥰 ☪️ The Luminous Dewy Skin Mist: There is a lot of hype with this mist and so I was eager to try it. But, this is a bit too dewy for me. I do have oily skin and this mist is tailored to those with normal to dry skins. The nozzle on the spray also seemed a bit aggressive at first but it was ok after a few sprays. Not my cup of tea out of the set but I can see me reaching for this on winter months or I guess when it feels slightly cooler/drier in this humid climate (in Houston we have 3 seasons, pre-summer, summer, and post-summer). ☪️ The Water Cream: This cream was phenomenal! The texture of this cream seems like a heavy gel cream but when I rub it into my skin, it turns very watery and silky! I really enjoy the experience of putting this on! Online it says that it provides a nutrient-rich balanced hydration with “unique water-burst cream!” It is so weird but so cool. It has Japanese wild rose and leopard lily that helps tighten pores and control excess oil, while clarifying the skin. It also has anti-aging properties too! I know that the full size of this cream is crazy expensive but honestly, I think it is worth the splurge. It really made my skin moisturized and soothed. I also really love the scent of this cream. It is a light florally scent that really calms me. ☪️ The Silk Canvas: This primer is amazing. I love how it just glides over the skin and I wanted to try this baby out when I watched @vickytsai talk about tatcha at Sephoria. I was amazed at how the primer intensified eyeshadows and really prepped the skin for makeup all the while acting as a protective barrier between makeup and skin. I have used this primer only for three days but I definitely noticed how my makeup looks more vivid and is prolonged. I also noticed that I look less oily at the end of the day as well. I think that this mini size will last for a long time because with this less is more. Overall, I am so excited about this brand and I really want that full size set on @sephora. I’m so excited lol no longer a #tatchavirgin!! 😂
