💜Tatcha Brand Spotlight 💜
💜this week I decided to spotlight Tatcha & decide what I love & don’t love as much from this brand! I’ve only ever tried their Silk Canvas Primer & loved it. I love the way all the packaging looks & the way everything smells! 💜What are the claims? •Tatcha Water cream - An oil free, anti aging water cream that releases a burst of skin improving Japanese nutrients, botanicals & moisture. For normal, oily & combo skin types. Formulated for dryness, pores, acne, & uneven texture. •Tatcha Violet-C brightening Serum - A 20% vitamin C & 10% AHA serum with pure ingredients & gentle strength that helps soften, brighten, & smooth for more radiant even tone skin. For all skin types, to brighten, smooth, & gently exfoliate. •Tatcha Dewy Skin cream - A rich cream that feeds the skin with plumping hydration & antioxidant packed Japanese purple rice for Healthy glow. For dry, sensitive, & normal skin. Formulated for dryness, dullness, loss of firmness & elasticity. •Tatcha Deep Cleanse - A daily gel cleanser with natural fruit exfoliant that thoroughly but gently lifts impurities & unclogs pores while leaving skin soft & hydrated. For all skin types. Formulated for pores, dullness & uneven texture & acne. 💜Texture/Consistency? •Tatcha Water Cream - smooth Thin gel •Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream - Thick hydrating cream •Tatcha Deep Cleanse - A thin gel cleanser •Tatcha Violet-C brightening serum - Very smooth water consistency 💜My thoughts overall? I honestly can say I love everything! It was amazing on my skin! 😊I love Tatcha products, makeup & skincare & I love the way my skin looks & feels after I use them! My least favorite out of all of them, would be the water cream, I just don’t think it is as hydrating as I would like in a moisturizer since I have dry/sensitive skin. I prefer the dewy skin cream, deep cleanse & Violet-C serum! My skin soaked up all of the amazing ingredients for a super glowy look. I defiantly would like to purchase the full size dewy skin cream, my skin loves that! It doesn’t break out or irritate my skin, it’s super gentle yet effective & really moisturizes my skin. 💜Price Vs. Size? •Dewy Skin cream - $68 for 1.7oz, worth it for me! •Water Cream - $68 for 1.7oz, not worth it for me •Violet-C Serum - $88 for 1oz, worth it! •Deep Cleanse - $38 for 5oz, worth it!! Current (Daytime) Skincare Routine
I’m someone who subscribed to the saying more isn’t always necessarily better, so when taking this picture I contemplated taking out some products in the picture to seem like I have my routine on lock. The truth is I’m constantly researching new products and trying new samples almost weekly. I then decided to add a selfie that was taken five minutes before writing this post to show my skin (I know I’m wearing makeup) and how well it’s been doing while wearing a full face of makeup in the summer. I have sensitive skin and eczema, so any products I use on my face I have to thoroughly research to ensure my eczema flare ups (which become aggravated in the heat) stay under control. With all that being said, my current daytime routine is as follows: - Wash face with Murad - Clarifying Cleanser follow with fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash to exfoliate (if I have a flare up/broken skin I skip the exfoliating step) - With a cotton pad I pump some CAUDALIE - Moisturizing Toner onto the pad and wipe on my face - Follow with THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum and THE inkey LIST - 15% Vitamin C and EGF to brighten the face - Next, I apply TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream onto the orbital bone and outer corner of my eyes (added bonus: cool a jade roller and gently massage your eye area to decrease puffiness) - Then comes TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream (I plan on dedicating a whole post to this product) - This next step confused me at first until I researched why it’s okay to use OLE HENRIKSEN - Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum in the daytime! When I hear Retinol/retinoids/retin-anything I tend to believe that it should only be used at night but this product has bakuchiol, a plant-based retinol alternative. This groundbreaking age-defying serum, powered with AHAs and bakuchiol—a natural alternative to retinol— fights all major signs of aging and more. It targets fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots, visibly firms, and reduces the look of pores. I’ve been using this product for about a week now and the difference is *chefs kiss* (More on this later) - After that I apply my oil The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil - Lastly, and my most favorite part is sunscreen to the face and neck area! Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Supergoop is undefeated in my eyes! Then comes the makeup (if I have the energy to put it on). Absolutely obsessed with most of the products I’m using as of right now, but always looking forward to educating myself on something better! I attached a quote that’s been getting me through the week🙌🏽🖤

Tatcha Ritual 🧖🏻♀️✨
If you’ve ever been interested in Japanese beauty, Tatcha is a luxury brand you definitely need to check out. In December, my skin was at an all time low. I have very dry skin, so living in southern california and working as a lifeguard doesn’t help. I had an uneven tone, patchy and flaky skin, cystic breakouts, and dark circles. Within a week of using Tatcha my face changed for the better! My face has never been more smooth and hydrated, my wrinkles went away significantly and my tone is finally starting to even out! I found that my previous face wash was over stripping my skin and my moisturizer just wasn’t up to par for my skin. I genuinely love Tatcha and I’m so happy I splurged. TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil The Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil is a light weight oil that turns into a milky water once washed off. It’s extremely gentle on the skin and does a great job at getting off all the leftover makeup. I’ve never been a huge fan of cleansing oils but this one really stands above the rest. There’s no leftover residue, just a clean face TATCHA - The Rice Polish: Gentle Foaming Enzyme Powder This facial polish has lasted me so long, I’ve had it since January 2020 and I still have a little less than half a container left. The Rice Polish is a powder that turns into a soft foamy exfoliant. you only need a dime size of it to polish your entire face and neck. It leaves your skin so soft without being too harsh on it. the best thing about it is that Tacha has multiple versions of the rice polish to fit your specific skin type! TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener The Essence was something I hesitated buying for a while, only because of its steep price point ($95) I ended up purchasing it in Tatcha’s Dry Skin Ritual set, which has both of my favorite cleansers, The Dewy Skin Cream, and The Essence. I was so excited to try it, and i wasn’t disappointed. My skin felt so... plump! The hydration was definitely noticed and my skin is so soft! The only reason i knocked off the star was because of the price and as amazing as i think it is, I know that a couple face masks and a few serums could easily achieve the same amount of softness. The Essence also claims to help amplify the properties of other skincare items by helping the skin draw it in deeper, I don’t think it’s noticeable at first but after a while of continued use I am starting to see a difference with my other items! TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream Hands down my favorite moisturizer for my dry skin. I don’t know how else to say it! It’s a creamy, thick, moisturizer that leaves me feeling good even when I wake up, with other moisturizers i find myself reapplying throughout the day and especially when I wake up. With The Dewy Skin Cream, I don’t have to. I do admit i have to use more than the recommended pea sized amount, but it still feels amazing

Battle of the Purple Creams
So sadly only one of these babies is actually purple, but they’re all purple containers and thick moisturizers, so let’s battle them out! TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream This cream is dewy glow in a jar, it’s thick but still light enough that it doesn’t feel heavy underneath sunscreen and makeup. It shines through these products too so makeup and sunscreen won’t dull the glow it gives. It’s $89 CAD, available at Sephora and has that signature Tatcha scent. My sensitive skin loves this and my dry skin soaks it up. I save it for special occasions. Kate Somerville - DeliKate Recovery Cream This is a new one to me and once I saw it launch at Sephora I had to have it. OH MY GOD. This cream is everything. It’s incredibly thick but melts down to the lightest texture ever and soaks into the skin leaving it plump, so soft and incredibly moisturized. This is actually my new holy grail. I cannot get enough. I can wear it under makeup without piling or heaviness and at night time for a rich night cream. It’s unscented, white and it’s target is to seriously calm stressed skin. I love this mostly after chemical exfoliants and peels. I use it daily. It’s $110 CAD. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides this baby was the love of my life for about three years. I’ve gone through countless jars and couldn’t get enough. It’s thick, stays thick and envelops severely dry skin with no problem to help retain moisture and hydration. I found I reached for it during the winter but once the snow started melting I gravitated towards others. This one has a slight but moisturizer smell, available at Sephora and it $84. So after all that, Drunk Elephant is best for price and dry skin, Tatcha is a luxury for dry skin but makes makeup look perfect, and Kate Somerville is just all around a perfect moisturizer but is pricey. My favourite has to be Kate Somerville for how it has changed my skin and how versatile it is. I won’t ever mind forking out the money for this baby.

Minis: Would I purchase full size?
fresh - Rose Face Mask 🌹|| This face mask is infused with real rose petals and claims to soothe and tone the skin. I bought the mini at Sephora just to try it out before committing to the full size and I have to say, I ADORE THIS MASK 😍 If you love rose scented products you will LOVE this! It has a smooth gel like consistency and just like it claims there are rose petals in the mask. I was having a few crazy breakout from using another new product and I wish I took a before and after because the next day I had no redness and a new breakout I was getting was cleared!!! The mini size was $25 for 1 oz and the full size is $62 for 3.3 oz. Its a little pricey but I def recommend this if you’re struggling with redness or irritation it’s a life saver and worth the money ❤️ TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream 🌸|| This moisturizer contains antioxidant rich Japanese purple rice which claims to give a healthy dewy glow. It’s a rich cream targeted for people with dryer skin. It’s a pretty pastel purple color and has a nice herb like scent which I didn’t mind at all. My skin is more on the dryer side so I decided to try this out because who doesn’t love glowy skin??? Unfortunately I found this cream to be a little too heavy for my skin. It does leave your skin dewy however it looked border line greasy/oily. I noticed in the days after my skin was producing a shit ton of oil (it never does that) and I actually started breaking out from this cream. So disappointed that this didn’t work for me because I love Tatcha!!! Maybe this could work for people with extremely extremely dry skin but if you’re normal/dry this might be too much. TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer 💜|| This is primer that’s meant to help uneven texture, fill in pores, and help make up stay on longer. It def feels like silk when you touch it but unlike other pore filling primers it stays in place and doesn’t slip and slide around. My skin looks so smooth and perfect when I use this and I do notice that my make up lasts a little longer than with other primers. The packaging is beautiful and luxurious, exactly what I expect from Tatcha. The mini size is $20 for .24 oz and the full size is $52 for .7 oz. Pricey for sure but a little goes a long way and my mini lasted me monthsssss. Definitely worth it!!!

TATCHA Moisturizers Assemble!
The best-selling product of TATCHA is TATCHA - The Water Cream , but it may not be suitable for all skin types. 😨😨 So I've made a comparison of 4 Tatcha creams. 1. TATCHA - The Water Cream Suitable for normal and oily skin. It has a light texture and an oil-free formula. It looks heavy from the outside, but after you open it, you'll find out that it's actually very watery. It can be absorbed quickly and has a faint essential oil smell to it. It creates a natural glow after applying it to the face. However, the moisturizing effect doesn't last long. It works better for spring and summer. 🌿🌿 2. TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream Suitable for most skin types. 👌🏻👌🏻 This cream creats a healthy glow on the face. It is very well absorbed, not sticky, and has a faint rose smell to it. Its texture makes it easy to apply. It feels like an enhanced version of the Water Cream, but shinier. 3. TATCHA - The Silk Cream Works for normal and dry skin. This texture is the lightest of the four, which is in between a lotion and a cream. The moisturizing effect, however, is no less than the other three. 😞😞 4. TATCHA - The Indigo Cream Soothing Skin Protectant The main use of this product is to repair and maintain firmness. It is suitable for sensitive skin, and is very moisturizing, alcohol-free, and fragrance-free. Its formula is the mildest among the four. It does a great job at repairing and stabilizing the skin. It looks a little blue when applied, but there's no need to worry because it's almost invisible after a while. If you care about the color, you can use it as a night cream. 💙💙 I recommend the Dewy for the overall effect, and Indigo for its amazing repairing effect.
