The hype made me buy this—-
The hype made me buy this—-
The “Instagram/influencers made me buy this” SON & PARK - Beauty Water beauty water 💧 this was all over my feed when I first started this account. It said to be used as a : . • Cleansing water/ makeup remover — I use it at AM and rinse it off with water. At night, I use it before or after oil/balm cleanser, sometimes after second cleanser just so I’m sure skin’s all clean specially my hairline, neck & ear area. I then apply my toner using a cotton pad. . • Toner, Mist — I can’t bring myself to use it as a toner or mist in between my routine or anytime I want to reapply my sunscreen because it contains hefty amount of EOs, I don’t feel comfortable leaving it on my face Experience: this gives an instant soft, slightly moisturize skin as if I’ve applied a viscous toner. Refreshing, feels cool on skin, takes off dirt, dead skincells, light make up (aka sunscreen, blush, eye make up but not so good with waterproof mascara and liptint stain), doesn’t sting. I did not have any irritation using this as I always wash it off. Didnt see any significant effect on skin too. . . I wanna love it coz she isn’t cheap, loved by many, full size bottle is 350 ml would be great if I could actually use it as a toner/mist, the packaging is ‘instagrammable’ but couldn’t give my full love coz of EOs. It does contain rose water & witch hazel tho plus papaya extract that is good for gentle exfoliation. This cute famous beauty water is something I don’t really need in my routine but I enjoy the short term effect. Fancy stuff, looks good on my vanity. Will not repurchase. Still glad I’ve tried it. If you wanna give this a try & got some extra $$, I think it’s better to get the 60ml bottle first and just see if you can use it even after double cleansing. #sonandpark #sonandparkbeautywater #beautywater

I honestly can’t believe that October is almost over which means I have less than 2 weeks until my med school interview. 😱😱 Anyways, on a brighter note, I have another #empty! This is the @sonandpark beauty water. This is a toner that can also be used as cleansing water. I use this on a cotton round to just wipe my face down in the morning when I am too lazy to cleanse with a face cleanser. It removes the dirt/dust/pm skincare that I have in the morning and leaves my face feeling very refreshed. The Beauty Water is also supposed to mildly exfoliate with willow park and papaya extract. It also has lavender water, rose water, and orange fruit extract to help with retention of moisture. On the @sokoglam website, it also says this has a pH of 4.5 so that it effectively resets the skin’s natural pH (which is around 5.5~5.8) after cleansing. It also is paraben-free and is suited for all skin types. It’s a great toner to use in the morning. I believe this is my second bottle. I’d rate it 5/5 because it is very simple and gentle to use. However, I won’t be repurchasing this anytime soon because I have like 2 more toners in my collection. But this is a good one and I really love how sleek and simple the packaging is. What toners are you using right now? Any HG toners?

𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 . this is the trial size version of the son & park beauty water (60 mL) . a cult favorite in korean skincare .claims to be a toner, cleanser and moisturizer all in one! it’s said to remove impurities, exfoliate and hydrate the skin while controlling sebum production .pH 4.5 .formulated with willow bark extract, witch hazel, and flower/fruit extracts .for oily to combination skin .retails on yesstyle for $7.90 (discount code: W9WFCL) but can also be found on sokoglam (full size only) 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 after replenishing my damaged skin barrier, i wanted to try this product since i’ve seen people rave about it on youtube. i used this product on a thin cotton pad and gently wiped the product across my face and neck after cleansing. the product is thin and watery with a very subtle scent and a little goes a long way. at first i didn’t like how the product worked on skin for a few moments and i wasn’t sure why? but the more i used it the more i liked its versatility and effects! 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 i can definitely understand how it’s a cult favorite in korean skin care but i also feel like this product can be a hit or miss. later on i realized that my first impressions were slightly off due to the willow bark extract. back in the days where my skincare routine was absolutely *horrid*, i used to use 100% witch hazel as a toner. but!! the amount of witch hazel in this is definitely not severe as 100% witch hazel on the face. i found it to be an amount i was comfortable with but i’d still appreciate it if it didn’t have any at all and less essential oils? while i never had an irritation from this product, there are some moments that i don’t think that this is suitable for me. i’ve used this product mostly as a toner and as micellar water a few times and it definitely lives up to some of the claims. it removes impurities without completely stripping the skin of moisture and after use i really like how smooth my skin feels. while i like this toner, i don’t LOVE it and whether i use it or not really depends on how my skin is feeling that day and what season it is. even then, i might pick up another toner instead of this but i wouldn’t be upset if i had to use this. this is a product that i’d definitely recommend to oily or combination skin if you want to control your oil production/exfoliate the skin lightly to improve minor texture problems - especially during the spring/summer/fall (maybe if my skin isn’t too dehydrated). i wouldn’t personally use this product in the winter since i don’t produce that much oily but if i were, i would only use this on my cheeks for improving skin texture since my t-zone is prone to dryness/dehydration! honestly i say try it to see if you like it because you never know!

APRILSKIN, Real Calendula Peel off Mask
APRILSKIN, Real Calendula Peel off Mask
I took a leap of faith on this one and ordered the APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack mask mostly in part to there excellent advertising techniques even though I knew no one who has tried this. With half the bottle gone, I still am not sure how I feel about this mask. My skin had a nice glow as well as some relief for my pores. It’s gentle enough to where I don’t feel like I just lost layers of skin and hair in the process of applying this mask. Bottom line not sure If I will be reordering but happy enough to finish out the bottle. I finished off my routine with some SON & PARK - Beauty Water (Absolutely love this toner!), which enhanced the glowy aspect of my skin and moisturized with the dear, klairs - Rich Moist Soothing Cream which is nicely hydrating and gentle on my sensitive skin and shouldn't add to my pores that I just masked to clear out.

K-Beauty: Son & Park Toner
K-Beauty: Son & Park Toner
The Product: The product is aimed to tone and wipe the skin of dirt or any impurities before skin care routines. It is also advertised to naturally maintain the the pH level of the skin. K- Beauty Skin Care Product Review: I’ve tried many different toners from different brands and this toner is by far the best toner I’ve ever used. I’ve been using this for about 6 months now and the reason I’ve decided to try this was because I have very oily skin in some parts of my face so I wanted a good toner to help clean my face well. A friend recommended me this one and I have been loving it ever since. I really like it because it is light and not heavily scented too. It in fact feels just as water, like the name says it all. I put a picture of the texture but it’s just water in my hands. When putting it on a cotton pad and spreading it on my face, it takes away all of the dirt and impurities on my face. After using it, I feel refreshed and my face feels really clean. My face also appears more brighter. It’s really a different and amazing feeling compared to other toners I’ve used. I really like this one because I am very acne prone and this has not made me break out. After using it for so long, I definitely saw results, my face is not as dirty as when I first got introduced to toners and this toner takes away all the dirt as well. This toner is also very affordable and goes a very long way. I use this toner every night and I am not done the bottle yet. I would definitely recommend this to others! You would not regret this. I’d rather get coal than this cult fave.....
I’d rather get coal than this cult fave.....
I’d rather get coal the the K-Beauty Cult Favorite Beauty Water. After an in depth review of the ingredients list, I found the culprit of my early 2019 skin breakout. Beauty Water is packed with parabens, alcohol, and citric acids. All ingredients I try to stay clear of. There are also essential oils in this beauty water- I’ve stoppe using any essential oils on my face and have noticed an improvement. It’s going to be a check the EWG Ingredient list before falling for the beauty hype 2020 for me. SON & PARK - Beauty Water
