Like it’s 1996 🦋✨👄
Nothing screams 90s makeup to me like frosted shadow and roller ball lip gloss ✨ Now I was only a bebe during the 90s being born in ‘93, but I do have memories of my younger aunts, that would often babysit for my mom and her lewks 🙌 one of them was more into grungey makeup, think brown lips, matte skin and thin but natural brows and my younger aunt was def more into glossy lips and pastel hued shimmery shadows. I spent all morning looking at old Delia*s catalogs and came across this catalog from 1996 and there it was, what I consider the epitome of 90s girly makeup! A soft lilac frosty shadow, barely there peachy blush and glossy lips 😌 I gathered inspiration from it to create the look you see here, using the products I’ve listed below: 🦋 DIOR - Forever Skin Glow Foundation & DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer I decided to go in with both foundation and concealer, I usually only use concealer but I felt since 90s makeup wasn’t big on highlighter or even dewy skin was a thing like it is now, so it get right. 🦋 wet n wild - Mega Length Mascara fave mascara, you already know 🙌 🦋 Glossier. - Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder I’m trying to use up this powder, and I like it because it doesn’t leave me looking cakey. 🦋 essence - Satin Touch Blush essence makes some of my favorite blushes! These are a true satin finish that looks so pretty on the skin. 🦋 Glossier. - Lidstar Glistening Eye Glow Idk why, but I kinda remember having something similar to lidstar when I was young. I like that these are easy to slap on and go. And the subtle wash of color with the shimmer is so pretty to me. 🦋 .INC. - Roller Baby Lip Gloss now i very specifically remember my aunts using roller ball lip glosses throughout all of my childhood! These are so nostalgic to me, i remember them lending their precious cherry scented lip gloss to me when I was little and it was amazing 😌 ah non-traumatic childhood memories, we love those. And that’s that! What is a trend you remember from the 90s? Or that you wore during the 90s? 🍒 #CherieCreator #CheriePartner

Drunk Elephant LaLa Retro Whipped Cream Review
As a dry skin girl whose face is basically the sahara desert 🔥, my skin craves a moisturizer that prevents against water loss 💧and can repair my moisture barrier (due to my tretinoin/acid use, and just the cool winter weather)❄️. . . I personally look for moisturizers that contain humectants💧 such as HA, ceramides, and glycerin, as well as antioxidants☀️. I also look for thicker creams (more moisturizing) that contain emollients (which are lubricating ingredients that soften and smooth the skin) such as non-fragrant plant oils🌹 (stay away from ones with fragrance ESPECIALLY for sensitive skin) and a mix of butters (shea/cocoa/mango) and other oils (marula/rosehip/primrose/argan etc). . . LaLa Retro Whipped Cream from Drunk Elephant 🎀🐘 is one of my favorite moisturizers, especially come fall🍁🍂/winter season❄️. It is formulated with a ceramide complex (for barrier support), six african oils (for intense nourishment and moisturization), and sodium hyaluronate/hyaluronic acid crosspolymer (smaller molecular weight than HA so it can penetrate the skin more deeply). These ingredients, plus many more, promise to rescue your dry and dehydrated skin and provide intense moisture and replenishing barrier support.🙌🏼 . . The product comes out of a nice, airless pump (which makes it super hygienic). It has a delectable, whipped, airy texture that melts upon contact with your skin. Although it is thick, it does not feel heavy on the skin, and absorbs easily upon contact. A little goes a long way with this product. I find the blend of oils (marula, baobab, and passion fruit) to be extremely nourishing for my dry, thirsty skin. It works well as both an am☀️ and pm🌙 moisturizer to keep my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and silky smooth all day. I would 100% recommend this product for folks with dry/sensitive/flaky skin because it gets the job done and really works to hydrate and repair your skin’s barrier. . I actually came across this product when I was really struggling with a bad bout of seborrheic dermatitis that was causing painful drying flakes on my chin and cheeks for over a month; and literally no moisturizer was helping the issue. My skin was so irritated and raw; and I was extremely embarrassed because I wasn’t able to cover the scaly skin with any makeup. It got so bad to where I didn’t want to go out in public or see any friends because I just felt gross. Lala Retro was the only moisturizer that didn’t irritate my skin and actually helped decrease the flakiness and really helped me regain my confidence. . . The product does cost $60; but despite its higher price point, it is a cream I will always go back to. 🥰For me, it is worth the price and I will continue to repurchase consistently. If you have oily, or normal skin with no major skin concerns, this product may be a little on the pricier side and not for you. For that reason, I would give it 4.5 stars⭐️ instead of the full 5. Roller Baby gloss
So this is definitely a glassy look gloss , the formulation feels wet without being sticky/oily, my only complaint is that it needs to be reapplied often as sometimes it absorbs/dissolved into lips but at least it doesn’t leave a dry feeling when it happens .all in all though this is far from the rollerball gloss you used as a little girl. I received this as a sample from Sephora and I can only imagine how long the full-size would last as I’ve had the sample over a week and have barely put a dent in it . Overall amazing glossy rollerball gloss.

.INC. - Roller Baby Lip Gloss I got this “shade” Choose Your Happy, which is a subtle lavender. I say “shade” because there’s literally no pigment or scent at all. That’s not a bad thing, but don’t expect any tint or scent from these glosses. This is a very subtle gloss, it doesn’t put a lot in your lips but gives it that just moisturized sort of look. The metal roller applicator is also addicting to put on. I sit for a while just rolling this gloss on my lips. It never deposits too much! A really nice unique gloss and one of my faves.
