A Cherie Member Wanted A Video Tutorial❤️
WOOOT! FIRST CHERIE VIDEO EYE TUTORIAL!
Uploads have been coming in a little later in the day because videos take a WEEEEEE longer to make. 😊
This video has a lot of information packed into one minute! Be sure to pause, rewatch and pay close attention!
I didn’t expose my camera correctly so the skin tones might look off but I promise that it won’t compromise the final results of what the shadow will look like in person! It will still look like the photo I previously posted of this look! The more pigment you place on your eye, the more it’ll show. This video shows the basic steps of what I did to create this look 😄
Feel free to ask me any extra questions if you get confused!!
Used:
ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette
VISEART - Grande Pro 3
HUDA BEAUTY - Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows in shade faux fur
Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer

How To Perfect Your Cut Crease! Tips/Techniques
There was one day that I thought I could actually try out a cut crease but had no idea if it would fit my eyeshape. Then....THIS HAPPENED ❤️❤️😍
...well actually happened again! (Second time doing it)
Since both times were successful, I’ll give you guys some tips, tools, and techniques that would be optimal to use to get the cleanest cut crease!
1. Tools
Brushes: The idea is to have a brush that isn’t super stiff and super flimsy. I use 2 types of brushes from morphe:
MORPHE - M505 Tapered Blender Brush
MORPHE - M506 Tapered Mini Blender Brush
The m505 was used to apply the base color and the m506 was used to apply the darker shadow.
2. Technique
The key thing to starting is to FIND THE BONE OF YOUR EYE. I know that sounds weird but it helps create that roundness for the eye on the cut crease. This is where you’ll focus the colors, especially the darker shades.
When it comes to layering on the concealer/foundation for the cut crease, I use the SIGMA - E54 Medium Sweeper Brush to STAMP THE CONCEALER/FOUNDATION FIRST and then blend in later to decrease the likelihood for mistakes. Don’t grab too much concealer or foundation either. You don’t want to make stamping difficult/messy for you. When you stamp, follow the your eye bone once more. It helps give you an idea/outline of where to put the concealer.
Set the concealer/foundation with a translucent powder to prevent shifting. This also helps layer on any other colors you want in the cut crease. I put a peachy white color plus a shimmer to bring it out as a highlight after using HUDA BEAUTY - Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows in shade Faux Fur.
Then you take you brush handle and line it up against the lower lid at an angle so you can see where you will put the eyeliner and if there’s any need for extension. The main thing with everything is to take it easy and slow. You will be going back and forth with correcting the shape. That’s normal and don’t beat yourself up for it! Finishing both eyes took me one to two hours the first time. You’ll get faster at it the more you practice!
Happy practicing! ❤️

That Red Shadow Though 😍
THIS RED IS SO FIIIIIIREEE! I feel so warm and toasty looking at this eye makeup.
Also kind of reminded me of a hot wheels commercial 🤣
The whole deal behind this look was to incorporate more colors from my VISEART - Grande Pro 3 palette. I swear this palette is still THE SH*T when it comes to colored eyeshadow. I don’t experience ocular pressure or weird reactions! 🥳 All the shades are literally so well pigmented!

Tried to keep it chill this year, grab things I actually needed, this box reflects that, but I also splurged on a couple kits🥺TBA💸
What I copped at 20% off:
shu uemura - Urban Moisture Hydro-Nourishing Shampoo After I tried a deluxe sample of this I completely fell in love, & it’s been hard to find a shampoo I feel this way about. I definitely knew I would be snagging this during the sale! My full review of this & the coordinating hair mask are in a recent post.
SHISEIDO - SHISEIDO Facial Cotton
I always forget to add this to my cart during periodic Sephora orders. Even though I’m Rouge level & we can get free shipping on anything, it’s a little wasteful to order just one little thing like that in my opinion, unless I really have to, I wait til I have several things I need to purchase. These are my favorite cotton pads, I reviewed them recently in a very rigorous comparison with cotton rounds from Cosrx- check it out☁️
HUDA BEAUTY - Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid EyeshadowsDidn’t “need” this-haven’t purchased like any makeup this year, after seeing a review here on Cherie I really wanted to treat myself to this. This will be my first Huda Beauty product!
The shade I chose is Request Line/Slow Jams, which seems to be like a mauve-y rose gold vibe. Super excited to review for you guys, but this means I’ll actually have to do my makeup😩 I got reeeeall into this quarantine thing...
DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream
Been wanting to venture into the natural deodorant realm for a minute... been kinda using nothing lol... again quarantine. Trying to step it up🐘 I’m not super familiar with Drunk Elephant products, but (spoiler alert on my gift sets) that’s all about to change😏
I used some of my points to check out:
IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo
I don’t use dry shampoo like I used to when I worked with customers directly (my hair always smells like weed) but since moving to a higher elevation my hair is honestly never looking greasy, it’s pretty dry. But since I’m totally out, I figured I’d grab this lil guy.
😖I was having internet troubles & pain issues from my disability. They were nice enough to place my order for me over live chat, so I could just use voice commands.🖤I just told them throw in whatever samples they wanted, just no makeup ones lol.
They sent me:
ALTERNA - Caviar Anti-Aging Restructuring Bond Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
Haven’t been that wowed by Alterna products in the past, but we shall see!🤷🏻♀️
💕What are y’all coppin?

How to Blend Dry Shadows into Cream Shadows Tip
I recently went back into playing with cream shadows that set to a matte finish. Today will go over a tip that helped me get that perfect blend when I was dealing with different textures of eyeshadows! This is great for those of you who struggled to blend a powder shadow into a liquid shadow.
In this eye look, I used
HUDA BEAUTY - Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows
HUDA BEAUTY - The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette
After priming the eye and using the matte liquid shadow, I spread it across the lid and then allow it to set.
Secret Sauce Tip:
Next, BEFORE going in with your next eyeshadow of choice, SET the liquid shadow lightly with a translucent powder or another colored powder eyeshadow of choice if you’re trying to “mix” the two colors in order to create a new one. Liquid eyeshadows can still be tacky even after they dry down. By placing a powder on top of it, you’re able to blend in other powder products without them “catching” or “skipping” in certain areas, which cause the eyeshadow to look patchy. This will also help the liquid shadow become extra “budge-proof” 😄 Translucent powders won’t shift or change the color of the eyeshadow.
This is the one I use:
BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder
It’s tailored to dry skin and doesn’t suck the moisture out of your skin, so I find that it is delicate enough for the tops of the eyelids without your eyes looking crusty like the Sahara Desert. Don’t worry if you don’t have this though! Any setting powder should do!
After setting you can proceed with the rest of your eyeshadow colors! Now there shouldn’t be any skipping or patchiness in your eyeshadow!
Hope this has helped you! Happy Blending ❤️
