PAT McGRATH LABS
Editor's NotesA true red lipstick like Marilyn Monroe's signature cherry-stained pout is the most timeless shade a woman can wear. Pat McGrath Labs' 'MatteTrance' version has exceptional color payoff and is so creamy that you'll forget you have anything on at all. Not only is it bold and bright, it's also mixed with optical diffusers to blur imperfections and leave behind a smooth finish. - Opaque coverage - Formulated with a blend of polymers to provide flexibility and adherence - Non-drying
Why It's SpecialThe creamy texture that leaves lips feeling hydrated and smooth

Dupe Lipsticks Pat McGrath Flesh 3 VS Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick 534B Makeup can get extremely expensive, especially because there’s so many products that can be used in combination and I’m always willing to try new products, so it definitely adds up. Because of this, I’m always open to trying makeup dupes whenever I find them. Makeup dupes can be a very hit or miss thing. Some are just outright unusable, while others work better than expected and can end up saving you a lot of money. One of these hits that I’ve stumbled across is the Wet n wild silk finish lipstick. Prior to finding this, I’ve been using Pat Mcgrath’s flesh 3 lipstick. Both of these have a similar brown red color, which makes the wet n wild a suitable replacement for the pat mcgrath. The main differences between the two is the texture and look it leaves on your lip. Pat McGrath’s is more of a matte texture where as the Wet N Wild is more of a lustre texture. Other than that, they are extremely similar. The Pat McGrath one costs $40 where as Wet N Wild is only $2, so I would 99% of the time go with the cheaper wet n wild option unless I was in a situation where I needed a matte look instead of a lustre look. However, most of the time I use the lipstick for the color and don’t worry too much about the texture.

The answer to your “meh” days!
I knoww it’s mask season.. and putting on lipstuff seems just a waste..but i just want to share my review of PAT McGRATH LABS - MatteTrance Lipstick this is in Full Panic shade btw.. This lipstick is part of the mini trio set i got from sephora last year. It’s a bright fuschia on me despite the color i see online which is a dark and rich magenta.. the color is reminiscent of the infamous Nars Schiap which trended years ago. This is the kind of lippie that brightens the face and need little to no effort in putting other makeup products. Maybe a good base will do because the redness may amplify any blemish or pimple. A nice mascara and brows is all you need and you’re good to go! A happy color indeed for day to night (matched with natural smokey eyes) yes?! Lips must be prepped with a good balm tho, (i used LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask btw) thus, took a star off. It’s quite drying but it has good lasting power to compensate the dryness lol. You can also set it with powder or do the lipstick blotting with tissue trick to avoid transfers. It stays put for a long time when worn using that technique. 👌

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
