Hair Care 👩🏻‍🦰
I have always tried to take good care of my hair so I have experimented with so many products. These are all my currently favorites: •☀️ Nature Lab. - Shine Clarifying Scalp Scrub - I use this after shampooing & being using conditioner. This stuff foams up sooo much so you really only need a pea sized amount! It makes my roots so soft & shiny! Love it!! •☀️ RAW SUGAR - Healing Power Hair Masque - I put this in my hair after washing out conditioner & leave it in for about 5-10 minutes in the shower while I shave & wash my body. I can’t believe how soft this makes my hair! I can’t live without this stuff!! •☀️ Apothecary BLVD Thickening Biotin Leave-In ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I actually use this extra brand of shampoo & conditioner & I love them so I figured why not try the leave-in too! I’m so glad I did because it has helped my hair growth so much & helped me get rid of so much breakage that I have always dealt with! •☀️MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment - I have used this stuff for YEARS! It is so amazing & you only need a little bit! It makes your hair so soft & shiny but it doesn’t weigh it down like other oil products tend to. It literally gives your hair this beautiful glow! Such a must have!! •☀️ JOHN FRIEDA - Secret Weapon Touch-Up Crème - This stuff is my holy grail!! I have always had some breakage on top of my head, leaving these annoying little hairs that always stick up! Well this stuff holds them all down without making my hair hard or even looking like I have product in! I wish I had found this stuff sooner!!! Have you ever used any of these products? What are you absolutely favorite hair products?? 💖 @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick

January Empties Review - [skin, hair, & makeup]
As sad as get to finish a product, I may be slightly more excited to start something new! But before I open those bottles, here are my reviews of January Empties!! epicuren DISCOVERY - Crystal Clear Eye Makeup Remover This eyemakeup remover takes everything off! Even magnetic lash liner! This is also a treatment, in that it has peptides to help lengthen lashes and vitamin k to help address dark circles. It has no scent and a soft velvety finish. I have a back-up bottle on hand at all times! #Osmosis - Refresh Revitalizing Eye Cream[products]#[ThreeStars] I love the line of Osmosis, but this eye cream wasnt my fave. It has more of a gel consistency, and the applicator is nice, but I didnt feel it did much for my eyes. I felt I needed more hydration. It didnt hurt my eyes, as I’m sensitive. But I much prefer my eyecream from Herbal Dynamics Beauty, which is 1/2 the price! Herbal Dynamics Beauty - Flawlessly Firm Toning Body Butter I LOVE this body butter. I have 2 other posts about this product on my Cherie page. #Blissoma - Pure Sensitive Care Complex[products]#[ThreeStars] Blissoma is a holistic line and uses all plant based ingredients. This felt nice on my skin and did not break me out, but I did not like the earthy smell. Again I have to enjoy the experiencing using my skincare, and this did not deliver Herbal Dynamics Beauty - Cucumber & Blue Lotus Micellar Cleansing Water This was my first time using Micellar water. I liked it as an am cleanser, or for a quick refresh after a run. This would not be my go-to for removing my full face makeup. It did burn my eyes if I used it to remove my mascara. For days I dont wear makeup, this works just fine. epicuren DISCOVERY - Bulgarian Rose Otto Hands down my favorite rose facial oil. Smells so good! And feels so luxurious on the skin. For normal to dry skin types. I always have this on-hand as well. butter LONDON - Power Up Mascara I liked it! It was water resistant, jet black, and lasted all day. Gave both length and lift. MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment I always love this hair oil, but i’m trying to stay away from artificial fragrance. That’s why it’s down 1 star. glo - Luminous Liquid Foundation SPF 18 Great coverage, non-pore clogging, and lasts all day. I LOVE this foundation

MY 2020 TOP 5 ✨
I love this prompt from @cherieand was excited to start thinking about some of my favourites from 2020. It was a nice chance to really reflect on the past year, and celebrate my personal self care journey. So here are my favourites! Product - After lots of consideration I decided to choose one of my favourite products for each category of: face, lips and hair! So many great products this year it’s so hard to choose, but I would say for face: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream was my all time favourite discovery, so effective for my specific concerns (sun damage/milia)! The SUMMER FRIDAYS - Lip Butter Balm was my favourite lip product - I was addicted to the smell + really kept my lips hydrated. Plus for the price, you know I wasn’t gunna misplace this bad boy. And lastly, I would almost consider it a full on addiction how much I loved the OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil , seriously this stuff changed my life! Trend - Sustainable packaging, and gorgeous reusable jars were one of my favourite trends. I love this shift towards mindfulness, especially because I often feel like it’s a domino effect where it can start with mindfulness to the environment, than mindfulness of people and surroundings and I believe this is a very important/healthy shift for consumers. My best look - Dark lips, always. Favourite Creators - I couldn’t possibly choose just one, there are so many creators here that are amazing, unique, lovely, smart, creative and genuine - I’m so grateful for this platform! But a few accounts I think you should definitely check out - @heynoonoofor some of the most beautiful makeup looks I’ve ever seen, just absolute works of art! @D.Bennettthis gorgeous human has an amazing page. All encompassing, wonderfully informative and super relatable. @annkrishaAnn’s page is awesome, from Halloween looks to gift guides ... she’s ON it. Not to mention her results posts are super helpful and informative. @Mallory- I love her content, her posts are very relatable and she is just genuinely such a good person! Something I learned - SPF if so important! APPLY - than REAPPLY even in the winter. I really like THANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream Hope you enjoyed my top 5 ✨💛

The Ouai for Curly Hair
I've been testing out a few Ouai products they sent me a while ago for my curls to see how they do. So far I'm liking the Leave-in Conditioner for refreshing my hair and the Finishing Creme for styling! They smell AMAZING! I'm not a big dry shampoo girl since my scalp is dry rather then oily, so curly girls tell me how you use dry shampoo for your hair. Have you guys tried Ouai products before? What are your faves? I think I want to they their new treatments masks next. Products: * OUAI - Finishing Creme * OUAI - Super Dry Shampoo * OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner *OUAI - Rose Hair & Body Oil * OUAI - OUAI Hair Oil

Ouai Hit & Miss
Two products from Ouai - the cult Instagram favorite hair brand - one that worked well for me and one that was meh. It happens!! The same brand will rarely satisfy all your needs. Ouai is a pretty expensive brand for me for what they do - their haircare isn’t phenomenal like olaplex, but is definitely better than most drugstore brands. Today I’ll be talking about a hit from this brand, OUAI - Air Dry Foam and a miss from them, the OUAI - Rose Hair & Body Oil . I’ve used both of these for over a year now, repurchasing both of them, but after trying other things, you’ll see why the miss is a miss and the hit is a hit! My hair type: short, pixie cut - straight mostly, some wave, grows fast by lacks hydration sometimes, small damage. The Hit: OUAI - Air Dry Foam + I used to never style my hair the last time I had a pixie, and when I grew it out, I had not been styling my hair for YEARS. So I didn’t know where to go. I didn’t even own a hair dryer. + I picked this up in a mini kit from Sephora on a whim, and I kinda fell in love. For my shoulder length hair, this product gives my hair texture, some wave pattern, and cuts my air dry time down a bit and makes the process smoother. On my pixie cut, it adds a bit of texture/waves and makes my hair have some bounce. + to use, I pump one pump into my hand (that’s all!!) and then rub my hands together and gently run it through my damp hair. Too much and it will make your hair look a little greasy upon drying. + smells like lemons, bergamot, rose - their North Bondi scent in the perfume! + formulated with kale extract that leaves your hair soft and healthy and never crunchy! The not crunchy part is my favorite. + $28 for 4oz, a great deal in my opinion. The Miss: OUAI - Rose Hair & Body Oil + I used to love this product - I had never tried a hair oil and I thought it was wonderful. This product is multi purpose, meaning you can use it on your body too! + to use, I squirt half a pump into my hand and then rub my hands together. Then I gently and carefully apply it to the ends of my hair, never the roots, but make sure to really hydrate the ends. + to me, this is best used to work out frizz and fluff in your hair - but it doesn’t hydrate or strengthen my hair at all. In fact, it does make it look greasy if I use too much product. + it’s very runny, which some of y’all might like compared to other oils, but I don’t like that. + the scent is melrose place, their other perfume, which is bergamot, lychee, cedar wood, and musk. Not my favorite but doesn’t last too long. + $16 for this size, 1.5 oz. but they have a 3oz for 32$

Gisou Honey Infused Haircare Set
gisou - Honey Infused Haircare Set gisou - Hair mask gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil gisou - Honey Infused Conditioner gisou - Honey Infused Hair Wash I’ve been wanting to try this for SO long so I’m glad Sephora had a set of minis on sale! I’ve used this every day since Christmas and I love it! These all smell so good and have left my hair soft and hydrated. My favorite thing is the Honey Infused Hair Oil, a little goes a looooooong way and makes my hair so shiny and smooth. I absolutely love it! I’d want to try the bigger sizes and maybe the hair perfume too. And the primer. Just all of it. I’ll try all of it

Gisou Hair Oil
I have had my eye on the gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil for a long time, the packaging along with its claims to "rebuild and repair your hair with the power of Mirsalehi honey" drew me to want this oil despite its hefty price tag, but let me tell you, I think it's worth the money. For a long time I believed that a hair oil is something that you should save on. After all, it just goes on the ends of your hair to provide some extra hydration right? I was wrong. This oil comes in a thick consistency which transforms into a lightweight oil when you rub it in your hands and throughly your hair. When my hair is damp, I start on my ends and work up to the middle of my hair stands, staying away from the roots. This oil is very concentrated, so you only need a little bit of it to cover most of your hair, but I found that when I put it too close to my roots my hair starts to look oily, despite feeling very soft and dry. On the website, Gisou lists a bunch of ways you can use this product, including mixing it with a hair mask or using it as an overnight treatment, but I haven't gotten around to trying out either of those yet. From years of swim team and constantly straightening my hair for a while, I struggle with dry and weak hair that often breaks off, as well as split ends. After using this oil, my hair feels so soft and hydrated!! Even now when I am on vacation and using the hotel shampoo and conditioner and not using many of my usual hair products, I feel like this oil really makes my hair very soft, shiny, and manageable in the humidity that I'm currently in. The only reason I took off one star is for the price, and since I just started taking hair oils seriously I beleive that there may be another oil out there that might have similar results with a smaller price tag, but for now I can confidently recommend this hair oil!! I have the small size right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if I bought the larger size when I run out, which probably won't be for a while since a little bit goes a long way.

Sephora favorites samples worth it? 👀✨
When I saw this Sephora favorites bag, I really wanted to get it for the ren body serum and the caudalie gel cleanser. I debated if it was even worth it, I bit the bullet and got it. I’ve got to say these are worth it. It’s great that it includes a 15% off code for each item. The caudalie purifying gel cleanser is 1oz. The full size is $28 for 5oz so it comes out to $5.60 and oz. first time I tried it it felt really good on my face. Didn’t dry me out and if I end up loving it I’ll have to get the full size. CAUDALIE - Vinopure Pore Purifying Gel Cleanser Ren clean skincare body serum, this came in a great 1.7 oz. The full size is $42 for 6.8 oz. so it comes out to about $6 with some change. I’ve been using this for a couple days and it feels great on my skin. REN CLEAN SKINCARE - AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum Lancôme mascara. This is the mini 0.06oz. The full size is $25 for 0.33 oz, $13 for the 0.13 travel size so the mini 0.06 comes out to $6.50. Pretty nice mascara so far. It doesn’t clump up. LANCÔME - Monsieur Big Mascara Ouai hair oil. This came in the 0.33 mini size. The full size is $28 for 1.5 oz, $14 for 0.45 oz. This mini size I will assume it’s about $10-12. Just used this oil and it’s incredibly soft. The downside is the smell. It’s pretty heavy but it kinda smells like gardenia flowers to me. OUAI - OUAI Hair Oil Make up for ever ultra HD microfinishing loose powder. It’s in a tiny 1 g jar. The full size $36 for 8.5 g, $20 for 4 g travel size so the 1 g jar would be about $5. I’ve had this powder before and really likes it a lot. It’s super fine which I love. It sets my makeup well and hasn’t given me that many creases. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder Versace perfume sample. In a very tiny spray. It’s 0.03 oz. The travel size in a spray is $30 for 0.3oz. So for 0.03 it would be about $3.75 I’ve had this in the travel size roller ball. Really nice perfume with flowery notes. I love the peony, lotus and magnolia scents. VERSACE - Bright Crystal Eau de Toilette This bag was definitely worth it to me. I ended up liking every single product. As in the price, I’d say it’s pretty good. Personally the value of the bag is more than the $10 I spent. This may definitely not be correct but this bag could have a value of about $37! The math could be way off but to me I really liked this. Have you tried or bought this bag, or are you not interested?

New Year, New Hair 💇🏻‍♀️
Happy New Year!!! I spent 2020 focusing on enhancing my skincare routine to figure out the products I needed to use to clear, enhance, heal, soften, and glow and I’m now spending 2021 focusing on establishing a hair routine! I love the feeling and look of hydrated, smooth, shiny, voluminous, and weightless hair after a haircut and I’ve found some products that help me replicate that look! R+Co - One Prep Spray — Following shampoo and conditioner, this is my first step before any other product. I towel dry my hair and spray One evenly through brushed hair and run my fingers through my hair to make sure the product evenly coats my hair. It’s weightless, has a nice scent that’s not overbearing, preps, and provides incredible moisture. Since I’ve started using this before using my blow dryer/air drying, I’ve noticed that my hair is shinier and softer. As a person with fine hair, products like this mist are great because they aren’t greasy or heavy. VERB - Ghost Oil — After getting my hair cut in early November, my stylist suggested using an oil to prevent split ends and the light I have frizz and the Ghost oil has been a great choice for my fine hair. After using the One Prep Spray, I apply a small drop of Ghost Oil to my hands, rub it together, and then apply it on the last two inches or so of my medium length hair, and then blow dry (I only use Ghost when I blow dry my hair). Since my hair is oily at the roots, I make sure that I don’t apply it everywhere. This hair oil is incredibly light and a little bit goes a very long way, the amount I use is about the size of half a popcorn kernel. Ghost has a faint grapefruit scent, isn’t thick, tames frizz, creates a great shine, and prevents split ends. What hair products are you trying out this new year?

Hair Revival
As a redhead, I’ve always taken great pride in my hair. However, it wasn’t till quarantine that I actually started taking care of it. I have 2B hair that is prone to frizz, I used to use drug store brands and would wash my hair daily due to my vigorous workout routine. I started washing it every other day, and while that helped, it wasn’t until I found new products and a new routine that I can actually say I’m happy with my hair. Here is my entire routine! Wash day: Shampoo and condition: Redken All Soft - it is hard to go wrong with this shampoo and conditioner, good for all hair types Post shower: I start by combing through a pump of jojoba oil thru the bottoms 3/4 of my hair with my fingers then I use IGK - Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray (my miracle product, ideal for blow outs, but still helpful when air drying) next IGK - Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Anti-Frizz Leave-in Conditioner (a must leave in conditioner for my curly friends) and then I finish with VERB - Ghost Oil on my ends Once a week instead I use: IGK - First Class Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo to help with product build up and VERB - Ghost Hair Mask to help with softness. These products work great! Thanks to the charcoal shampoo, an oily saturated scalp is a thing of the past. And the ghost mask smells of lovely sandalwood and my hair is so smooth after, it’s mesmerizing. Non-shampoo days: If I have a light workout I normally just use IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo before and after my workout. Best dry shampoo I have ever used. The charcoal really helps with the sweat. Now if I did my typical 5 mile run and weights, I need something a little more powerful to help me out. I start by using IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo prior to working out, this helps to absorb the oil as you workout. After my workout, I rinse in the shower with IGK - Smoke & Mirrors this is the next best thing to shampooing! My hair feels clean afterwards, however, it doesn’t strip your hair and dry it out. I follow with my normal post shower routine, however I skip the jojoba oil. I also started adding a scoop of collagen powder to my first cup of coffee. I mainly started using it because at 23, I’ve already been running nearly every day for 9 years 😅 so my joints need all the help they can get; however, I think it’s helped in making my hair stronger. My hairdresser noticed an extreme difference in my hair, which was all the confirmation I needed to continue on this pursuit.

Is this $125 Detox Night Cream Worth It?
Hey Cherie Fam 🍒 I have been doing makeup looks and raving about my recent make up purchases lately. I thought it’s time to give the skin care products I’ve been loving lately some attention. You know that you can’t have great makeup unless you have great a great makeup base aka having a great skin care routine. I received Grown Alchemist Detox Night Cream on my November premium box from Boxycharm. I have a somewhat strict skin care routine and I am skeptical introducing a new product to my routine. I researched this brand thoroughly and read hundreds of reviews online. I also examined the ingredient list. Grown Alchemist is founded by brothers who discovered ground breaking research that proved the continuous use of natural ingredients. They developed formulas with a unique synergy between biology and cosmetic chemistry. Their headquarters are located in Melbourne, Australia. (Source: website) The detox night cream is described as a detoxifying cream formulated with peptide-3, echinacea vitamins, hyaluronic acid and essential omega fatty acids such as reishi extract. This product claims to regenerate the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles resulting in radiant and youthful looking skin. This product retails for $125 USD for 40ml. #Grown Alchemist - Detox Night Cream[products]# I actually really like this product. I use it with my DE framboos and The Ordinary virgin marula oil at night. I noticed my skin is a lot more glowy and I have less pores and brighter skin when I wake up in the morning. It has a thick consistency, but doesn’t feel heavy and has a scent similar to roses. I am actually not a fan of the smell because I prefer no fragrance. I think this is the perfect night cream especially during the winter months. However, I will not be repurchasing when I run out. While I am a fan of this product and think it works well, I don’t think it’s worth $125 for a 40ml. There are cheaper alternatives in the market with the same ingredients. If money isn’t an issue to you, then I say go for it! I saw a huge difference within a week. It’s just not in my budget unfortunately. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum The Ordinary - 100% Cold Pressed Virgin Marula Oil Conclusion: Great product and I saw a difference within a week, but it’s too pricy and will not re-purchase because there are alternative brands in the market with the same ingredients for a fraction of the price. Xoxo, Francesca 💋

NEIBOURHOOD BOTANICALS - The Daily Glow Facial Oilhas been on my radar after a friend raved about it during a exceptionally long FaceTime call. I saw it on sale and decided to purchase it. I was running out of my two facial oils -The Ordinary - 100% Cold Pressed Virgin Marula Oil and The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil - and maybe I need to try something new. I’m hoping it lives up to the hype!

Healthy Nails - Tips from a Nail Biter😬
Okay so I might not be the best person to give advice about how to grow long, healthy nails BUT I’m going to tell you what works for me. I have been a nail biter since before I can remember...as someone who has dealt with life-long anxiety, nail biting/picking, lip biting, nervous-foot-shaking, etc have all been prevalent for me. For years, I was unable to grow my nails because I bit them so bad but one day I just kind of realized a) how disgusting it is (who knows what’s under your nails) and b) it made me really self conscious of my hands. So I decided I wasn’t going to be a nail biter anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I still bite them from time to time when I’m feeling anxious (mostly just pick at them) but for the most part I leave them alone. Some things I have done and currently do to help my nails grow longer and healthier are: supplements - I take a bunch of different natural vitamins + minerals including vitamin c, b-complex, magnesium, vitamin d, and omega-3 which are all great and help make your hair, skin, and nails healthier and stronger. This isn’t the sole reason I take these supplements (hormone imbalances/anxiety/digestive issues are the main reasons) but it’s nice that they can help this too! collagen - ingesting collagen can be really helpful in growing your hair and nails and keeping them strong. For collagen, I’ve been trying out some various products from Vital Proteins (like these bars). castor oil - this stuff has SO MANY uses but I use it on my lashes, brows, and cuticles. I massage a tiny drop into each cuticle a few times a week and it helps them to not be so dry; when they aren’t dry I don’t pick at them so much! nail files/clippers - I try to always file or cut my nails now with one of these two tools instead of biting. hand lotion - I try to keep my hands + nails hydrated and soft (again, so I don’t pick) and the nails don’t break as easily drink a sh*t ton of water - the more hydrated you are, the better off you are overall, right? While I may not always have the perfect nails, I have found these things to really help me when it comes to having much healthier nails and cuticles. What are your tips for growing strong, healthy nails?

Wavy Hairspray: Yes to Movement, No to Crunch
Styling wavy hair can be tricky. My wavy hair is thick in volume yet fine in texture, going down to my mid-back, and it loves to frizz. To control this, hairspray is my best friend. But, not all hairspray was made equally- I’ve ended up with a veritable helmet of hair more than once. I love movement to keep my hair from looking flat, so I was an instant convert when I tried the amika: - Fluxus Touchable Hairspray 💕 • Crunch? I spend money + time to keep my hair soft, so why would I dry it out with hairspray? Fluxus manages to avoid being overly drying, taming fly-always without coating hair in a stiff mess. • Movement? Speaking of stiffness, that’s what you’ll be avoiding with Fluxus. My hair still moves in the breeze, easily combed through with my fingers. No helmet 🙌🏽 How I Style: I’m a minimalist, but I don’t like being a puffball. So when I’m not wearing my hair in a ponytail and ballcap, I typically stick to the tried-and-true! Wash and condition (or amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo and amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner ) followed by a wide-tooth comb detangling session. Briogeo - B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil applied to tips. Then, once everything has dried, I spray a liberal amount of Fluxus in my palm and smooth my hands over my hair. I repeat a couple times, focusing on my fly-aways and baby hairs, until everything is smoothed and settled. Fancy? No. Easy and effective? Yup!

4 WAYS TO REPURPOSE AND REUSE PRODUCT PACKAGING!
A few weeks ago I was talking to some makeup enthusiasts about how I hoard my product packaging! The boxes that the product containers come in and the actual containers themselves. I don’t know why but I will keep them for weeks (or longer 🙈) before discarding them. So instead of just having them lying around collecting dust I’ve decided to repurpose them. I use tarte - Timeless Smoothing Primer and I can’t throw away my empty container until I replace it. So this time instead of tossing the old container I decided to use it as a container for a DIY lip scrub (I just used petroleum jelly and brown sugar). The packaging is so tiny I can just throw it in my bag or leave on my desk. I also kept the box from the new primer i got to put hair ties and hair clips in. I always lose my hair accessories in my bag so now I have a place that all of them can live! I finished my urban decayURBAN DECAY - Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid color corrector and found a dupe for it but I really like the packaging for the UD product because it comes with a brush applicator that makes it easy to just apply to your face without having to use a makeup brush. I put the dupe product in the UD container and now I can apply it as easily as I did the UD product. I use Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil and applying it to my scalp can be a real chore because I have to part my hair and apply between sections. My sister uses a castor oil that has a dropper so she just sticks the dropper in her hair and onto her scalp and rubs it in without parting her hair but the oil that she uses is more expensive than Sunny Isle and I really like the oil just not the application process. When I finished my bottle of ASTERWOOD NATURALS - Vitamin C Serum I rinsed out the packaging and filled it with my castor oil. Now I can easily apply oil to my scalp without having to spend more money! #CheriePartner

Anti-Dandruff Conditioner & Oil
Like with anything I interpret, dandruff is usually a sign of some kind of underlying physiological issue, like a malfunctioning response to something in the environment (food, chronic social stress), or a genetic predisposition within the body; however, products may maintain and shorten the duration of suffering of a problem to which a solution is yet to be found. I’ve had many encounters with an itchy scalp and flakes over the course of my life. So I’m ok with easing my discomfort before I find out the root cause. Peppermint and rosemary would be the kind of extracts to represent a cooling, clearing effect in the mouth (toothpaste), on irritable skin (acne treatments), and on an itchy a** scalp Pure Anada - Conditioner - Peppermint Rosemary it’s a smooth texture, with a refreshing feeling, as if cooling the inflammation from the continuous itch. It leaves the hair feeling smooth and the scalp clean, but sometimes I’ll look at my scalp and see many colonies of flakes. So to actually combat their visibility and moisturize my scalp, I use Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil which is a thick oil, but is known to stimulate hair growth and moisturize skin and take care of scars. I find that it soothes my scalp’s dryness and prevents more cracks in the skin. Only gave it a 4 star because the smell does not compliment the thickness of the oil. #CheriePartner

Briogeo Hit and Miss
I love Briogeo a lot, but sometimes even the brands you love fall short somewhere. Briogeo is a Black-woman owned brand & they make haircare for all hair types! That’s one of their biggest missions, to provide haircare for people will all styles and textures. You can find them at Sephora! Today I’ll be talking about their Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Strength + Moisture Leave-in Mask and the new-ish Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Strengthening Treatment Hair Oil ! These products are from the same line, Don’t Despair, Repair! which focuses on strengthening and repairing damaged hair. My hair type: + short, pixie cut - mostly straight and a little damaged at the ends, lacks hydration some days and grows so fast. The Hit: Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Strengthening Treatment Hair Oil + I have used two hair oils in the past, the verb ghost oil and the ouai rose oil, and I think this falls somewhere in the middle on texture! It’s not too runny (like the ouai) and it’s not too thick (like the verb) + smells nice, a bit like rose, but not overwhelming at all. The smell fades pretty fast, too, so you’re not smelling rose all day. + I use this mostly on the ends of my hair, and even less these days since I have a pixie now. I just take a few drops in my hands and rub them together with my fingers and then lightly comb through the ends of my hair with my fingers and gently pat into damaged spots. You really do not need a lot of product to make it all over your head. + overall, this works really well; my hair is always healthier looking when using this and even if it doesn’t work, it smooths my frizz and flyaways ALL DAY. + has ceramides, macadamia nut, and rose flower oil as its key ingredients. + product is hard to get out of the bottle but that’s my only downside to this. + $30 for 1oz The Miss: Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Strength + Moisture Leave-in Mask + I use this leave in conditioner/mask about twice a week, and I’m not sure it’s doing anything? I’ve only been using it for two weeks though, so maybe I need to use it more to see a better difference in my hair. + it comes out in a spray bottle which I love, all leave-ins should def be this way! + after my shower and while my hair is still damp, I’ll spray a little in my hair (not my roots) and massage it in with my hands, making sure I can spread the product around evenly. + smells pretty innocuous, not much scent profile which is fine by me - I don’t like when my hair care has to compete with my fragrances. + formulated with b vitamins, argan oil, algae, and biotin. + $28 for 4oz, which I think is a great price. + I much prefer the aquis leave in!

Gisou Hair Care 🍯 Hype or Worth it?
Gisou Hair Care 🍯 Hype or Worth it?
Gisou Hair by Negin Mirsalehi is one of those hyped up Instagram / influencer brands that looks amazingly aesthetically pleasing, yet raises the question if it’s worth its luxury price tag. Well, let me get straight to the point: as someone who has tried & tested many different hair products, Gisou’s hair care is one of the best I have come across for my frizzy, dry, color-treated 2b/2c wavy hair. I’ve been using all the Gisou products since they came out and I am blown away by most of them. Here my overview + review of each item featured in my pictures. gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil This Hair Oil is a LIFECHANGER ✨ I have had so many different oils over the year, but no oil is as potent, shine-adding, moisturizing & de-frizzing as this one. It costs a pretty penny but it’s so worth it. It also smells amazing, like a wildflower garden perfume. The oil is quite heavy, so if you have thin/oily-prone hair, skip this one. A full-size bottle lasts me about a year, using it 2-4 times a week. gisou - Hair mask The Gisou Hair Mask is great for people who want a deep hydration treatment, without weighing their hair down. Since the hair oil is more tailored for people with thick hair, this hair mask would work more universally. The smell is amazing as well and I love the cute pink jar. gisou - Honey Infused Hair Wash Great shampoo, without SLES or SLS. It leaves my scalp clean but not stripped. It smells the same as the mask & conditioner and is overall a great, effective yet gentle shampoo. It’s not my favorite item tho, so pass on this one if you have a smaller budget. gisou - Honey Infused Conditioner Just like the shampoo, this conditioner works great as well. On days my hair does not need that much hydration, I love using this conditioner. It does not weigh my hair down, leaves it smelling beautifully, and contains no silicones. gisou - Propolis Infused Heat Protecting Spray So the Heat Protecting Spray is nice, but nothing special. I always use it before I heatstyle my hair, but have not seen any specific ‘heat protecting’ results. It doesn’t leave any residue on the hair, and smells nice, other than that, not that special. All in all, I would highly recommend the Hair Oil. The mask, shampoo & conditioner are great too. The Heat Protecting Spray is nice, but nothing special. Hope this helps! 💕 #cheriecreator

Hair Care 👩🏻‍🦰

Dupe for Kerastase Hair Oil...? Even Better!
Dupe for Kerastase Hair Oil...? Even Better!
I believe that if you get to know about hair caring, you are certainly aware ofKÉRASTASE - Elixir Ultime Oil Serum, The chronologiste collection Kerastase is the top haircare collection among the brand, and it matches its high price. The price of this 120ml chronologiste hair oil is around  $60. It is very light in texture and it is not heavy or greasy left on the hair. It has a good effect on the straight hair and the damaged hair. I thought for a while that there was no better hair oil to use than Kerastase until I encountered... also a famous one, MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment First of all, compared with the expensive Kerastase, the price of Moroccan hair oil is much more affordable. The official price for a 100ml bottle of Moroccan hair oil is around $30 and is even lower when it comes at a discount, whereas Kerastase is rarely discounted. In terms of use, Moroccan hair oil pressure design is more convenient to take out the hair oil, when using Kerastase's hair oil, you should tilt the bottle before pressing, otherwise, the oil will flow to the bottle and cause unnecessary waste. I am a frequent hair dye perm, so the demand for hair oil is very large every day. Before hair blows, I put a lot of hair oil at the end of my hair. As a consumable, Kerastase hair oil works well, but it's not very durable daily. In terms of cost performance, I will choose Moroccan hair oil which is not too different in effect. Of course, Kerastase works well too, and if you're like me and pursue more bang for your bucks, Moroccan hair oil will give you a great hair care  experience too.

Bye Ouai hair oil, hello ankh 😍😍
Bye Ouai hair oil, hello ankh 😍😍
I’ve found the new holy grail hair oil!!! You guys.... this hair oil is incredible. I used to be a big fan of Ouai’s hair oil but this one just knocks it out the park! Meet Ankh - Monarch Hair Oil the hair oil that smells great, moisturized, and invigorates your scalp. Ingredients include safflower oil rose buds lavender calendula essential oil blend The thing I love the most about this oil is truly the scent. It smells AMAZING and it lasts for.... two days y’all! The scent is a floral, natural scent. Nothing overpowering but still noticeable. I was gifted this by the brand and had no expectations so was pleasantly surprised to be blown away by it. In addition to the scent lasting long, it seriously moisturizes my hair and keeps my waves beautifully defined. Highly recommend!

Drugstore hair oil DUPE!
Drugstore hair oil DUPE!
I love finding drugstore dupes and I found a good one for your hair! Making your hair healthy requires a lot of moisture and attention. I love using hair oils after styling to keep frizz away and always before bed to add some moisture. The ogx - Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil is around $5-6 at the drugstore, which is extremely affordable. This product claims to have heat protection and will help strengthen your hair from the inside out! Perfect for all hair types! The MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment is a great product. But the price for what your getting—not so much. It’s a basic Argan oil just like the one above, but is is $34 for the 1.7 oz bottle. Not worth the money even though it is a great hair oil! 💋🤍 #cheriepartner
