🦋🦋🦋I got butterflies on my nails😍
Butterfly nails are a particularly popular style this summer. Many bloggers have been posting pictures of their manicures on Instagram, so I went to the nail salon with the blogger's picture and wanted to do the same. Step 1, clean your hands and trim your nails into a square shape (if you're doing something cute like a fruit manicure, consider a round one). Step 2 apply nail softener and repair dead skin Step 3 apply OPI - Nail Envy Nail Strengthener Original Formula Step 4: Apply cuticle cream and champagne color nail polish twice (usually 2 times for darker colors and 3 times for lighter colors) to illuminate and fix the nail color. Step 5: Stick two butterflies on your ring finger and thumb. Fix them with glue. Why I recommend this manicure: In summer, girls' clothes and colors are mainly white, pink and other fresh colors, which are suitable for butterfly nails. The one I made was about $40, and because of the complexity, remember to choose a professional nail salon. I hope all the girls can wear beautiful skirts, have beautiful nails this summer.

Do u need a base coat before applying nail polish? My answer is...
You know you've wondered: Can I just skip all the extra time and effort it takes to apply base coat when painting my nails at home? Apparently you shouldn't, says celebrity nail designer Patti Yankee. "Just like when you build a house, you need to start with a good foundation — and a base coat is the basis for a long-lasting manicure." Need more proof of why it's really worthwhile? Here, we break down all the benefits. Benefit #1: Base coat makes your manicure last longer. Think of it like double-sided tape for your nails. Along with plasticizers to make them flexible, base coats contain an extra boost of cellulose chemicals to give them "stick," They stick to the nail below and the polish above to prolong the manicure, and allow for enough flexibility to move with the nail as it bends. Without this sticky, elastic surface for the pigment to adhere to, your manicure would chip a lot faster. Benefit #2: Base coats prevent polish from staining your nails. Ever tried that hot new red only to find it left your nails stained yellow? Chances are, you didn't use a base coat, and staining has occurred because of a chemical reaction between the ingredients in the polish (dyes and chemicals) and your nail plates. A base coat is your best defense against staining. It provides a clear protective layer between the nail and the pigment of the polish above. If you're in a pinch and simply must skip the base coat, avoid dark colors and go with natural shades, from sheers to pastels, that aren't as likely to stain your nails. But keep this in mind: when you apply pigment directly to the nail bed, it's especially important to use a high-quality, long-lasting formula. Benefit #3: Base coats can be handy problem-solvers. Some base coats are packed with ingredients to address a number of nail issues, and there are lots on the market to try. Read the labels to decide which one best suits your needs. Have extra dry nails? Choose one that's moisturizing to keep nails in tip-top shape. If the surfaces of your nails are uneven, opt for a base coat with ridge-filling properties. It will provide a thicker base to even out ridges or indentations in the nail before applying the color coat. Just beware of base coats that claim to be nail hardeners. These usually contain a high content of formaldehyde and will temporarily harden your nails, but will later cause them to split and crack easier because they'll become too hard." If you're not plagued with any of these issues (lucky you!), simply look for the same qualities you do in any nail polish. 6One more tip: Resist the urge to use your topcoat as a base coat and vice versa. Generally, a base coat doesn't have the shine of a topcoat, and a topcoat doesn't have the 'sticky' surface that's important in a base coat," says Waldorf. So switching between the two isn't a good idea. OPI - Nail Envy Nail Strengthener Original Formula For me, Best Overall: OPI Natural Nail Base Coat Simple and straightforward, this gets the job done, and done well. It wards off stains—even if you’re sporting dark polish, as noted in many reviews from satisfied users—and ups the longevity of your mani. And while sure, in theory, it should be paired with OPI polish, we’ve mixed and matched it with other brands and had equally good results. I have been converted from Esse to OPI. My friend had a lovely "natural" nail color on her fingers which I admired. She told me the color name DON'T BOSSA NOVA ME AROUND and that she always used OPI and the base "NATURAL NAIL BASE COAT" and following with top coats as well because for years this brand was so dependable in application and color not chipping easily after using top coat. I order all 3 products and was delightfully impressed with the base coat, nail lacquer and finally the top coat. I am an artist working with lots of mixed media and needle/pins/scissors etc which usually wrek havoc on any nail color polish I use so mostly I have used clear. Now I can happily use color when the mood strikes me. The color opaque lacquer needs 2 coats as does most of that type and applies smoothly and dried to a gloss. Recommend this brand.

THREE TIPS FOR SALON-WORTHY NAILS
So here’s the thing - I get asked ALL THE TIME how much I paid to get my nails done. The kicker? I don’t pay to get them done - I’ve done my own nails for YEARS and I’ve perfected my technique for making them look like I got them done in the salon - even though they’re just regular nail polish. Here are my top three tips for perfect nails (no more mistakes) ➡️Sit at a table to do your nails You have GOT TO STOP trying to paint your nails while sitting on your couch or on the floor (unless you’re giving yourself a pedicure). Painting your nails while sitting at a table ensures that your hands are on a flat, stable surface so you have more control of the nail polish and are less likely to flood your cuticles, or look like a child tried to paint your nails. ➡️Always use top coat and base coat A quality top and base coat will make your nail polish look better and last longer. It’s honestly what matters more than the brand of polish you use - it will make dollar store, drugstore, or department store nail polish ALL look equally amazing and salon-worthy. Seche - Vite Dry Fast Clear Top Coat duri - Rejuvacote 1 Nail Growth System ➡️Don’t overload your brush with polish Trying to get a mani done quicker by painting a too thick layer on of polish is totally counter-intuitive. First, you’re more likely to do a messy paint job because you can’t control the polish and it will just go everywhere. Second, it’s going to take AGES to dry - much longer than thinner two coats of polish! These are my three top tips for salon-worthy nails - and they’ve never let me down! MATCHING MY NAIL ART TO MY JEWELLERY
I had a bit of fun with this nail art because I was able to match it to my rose gold jewellery and recreate a design that I was inspired by on Pinterest. At this point, these are my natural nails that I had grown out to a squoval/square shape. I don’t think I’ll ever grow my nails this long again, but I really enjoyed having this length and shape while it lasted. I chose to match to rose gold as that’s the colour of my engagement ring - I think it’s a really unique metal colour and just flatters me so well! When I saw the original nail art photo, I knew I wanted to recreate it with rose gold to match my ring. After painting the pink on my nails, I gently sponged a bit of the rose gold over to create the same effect as my inspiration photo. I think it worked out really well! Then, using a striping brush I carefully drew the stars over the gold. I love this kind of ‘sketching’ look for nail art and was so happy it turned out well. What do you think? Does the rosegold match my ring and did I do a good job recreating this nail art? My Quarantine Manicure 💅🏻
essie - Gel Couture Top Coat essie - Longwear Nail Polish #cheriepartner This is the manicure I’ve been loving since March! I actually love doing my own nails as opposed to going to a salon! Here are the steps I take: 1. Clean and scrub nails 2. Remove old polish 3. Push back cuticles 4. Apply three thin layers of Essie Gel Couture polish (this shade is ‘Haute to Trot’) 5. Apply Essie Gel Topcoat I’ve been using the Essie Gel Couture polishes lately and I love how shiny they are! They dry super quickly and don’t chip easily. How gorgeous is this shade too!? I love hot pinks for summer. What is your summer manicure shade?

Easy Manicure That Lasts 2 Weeks!
This duo is my current favorite nail polish! I just love Essie’s Couture in general. I have tried Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel and CND Vinylux and Essie is by far my favorite. This one is in the shade “take me to thread”. This one is a nude purple. I only wear nude/neutral shades on my nails and I absolutely love this shade! The brush is curved and easily hugs which make application so easy. This polish is also very opaque. I usually need 3+ coats and this one can be worn by only using 1 coat. I used 2 coats though. The formula is so buttery and shiny at the same time. I applied with the couture gel top coat and drying time took about 15 minutes. It still dried shiny. I say this nail polish is very beginner friendly. I am not the best at applying nail polish, but this made nails look somewhat decent. I use this nail polish all the time and it lasts about 10-14 days. The best thing about this polish is you can easily remove it wirh acetone and it doesn’t require to be cured under a UV light. I purchased these at Ulta. What is your current favorite polish? Francesca 💋 #CheriePartner

COOL TONED NAILS (PERFECT FOR SCORPIOS)
Here’s the thing as a Scorpio - everyone expects us to like black or super dark nails because we’re ~mysterious~ and spooky. Most Scorpios (including myself) also have a soft side and I like using my nail polish to express this. We’re also a little cold and standoffish, so I’ll go with a cool, but soft shade today - OPI Icelanded a Bottle of OPI It’s a cool-toned taupe-grey - it’s not a cute, sweet pink that might suit another star sign better. As always, I put on a coat of Duri Rejuvacote before two coats of polish, then Essie Gel Setter. This combination hasn’t let me down yet! Icelanded a Bottle of OPI is perfectly flawless in two coats and I’ve gotten up to two weeks of wear (especially with base and top coat) out of it. I like it better than gel since I can actually take it off whenever I want and just put it back on again (if I want!) I’m a practical Scorpio (I’ve outgrown having long nails) so I’ve painted my natural nails. I like to keep them at a natural, rounded shape. Just in case I have to help my friend bury a body or something… Just kidding! ;) duri - Rejuvacote 1 Nail Growth System OPI - Long Lasting Nail Polish Infinite Shine 2 essie - Gel Setter Top Coat

MY CURRENT FAVE DRUGSTORE POLISH
Do you ever love a nail polish colour so much that whenever it’s time to do your nails, you just put the same colour on again? That’s how I feel about this peachy nude polish from Maybelline. It’s from their Super Stay line and it’s called Poet. I got this bottle at Chemist Warehouse for NZ $7-ish, and it’s quickly shot to my favourite colours list. What do I like about it? ➡️ It has a REALLY opaque formula. This nail polish is really a one-coater in every sense of the word. I can get away with applying one coat of this before topcoat, but it feels wrong to only do one! It’s flawless in two coats and always looks perfect. ➡️ The wide brush makes application easy. Seriously - the wide brush fits my cuticles so easily that I can get in there and close without flooding them. I’m pretty sure that these are the standard for nail polish these days, but it never goes unappreciated because it makes it so much easier to get perfect nails. ➡️ It definitely lasts 7 days (and more) If you follow me on my blog, you’ll know that I strongly believe in the importance of topcoat and basecoat making a manicure last. However, even without topcoat, I found that this polish lasted the full 7 days. I actually got 10 days wear with my full top/basecoat routine of essie - Gel.Setter Top Coat and duri - Rejuvacote 1 Nail Growth System .

Nail accent
I love doing a simple look with an accent. Adding a glitter top coat to one nail does just that for me 😍😍essie - Luxeffects Glitter Top Coat in shade “A Cut Above”. This is a clear nail polish with lots ld pink glitter “confetti” pieces. essie - essie Enamel Nail Polish in shade Ballet slippers- a translucent pale pink shade. This is a great pinky nude nail polish for fair-light skin tones. This is such an easy look to achieve- all I did was apply two coats of Ballet slippers to all my nails, except my ring finger- For that nail I applied one coat. The second coat was the glitter luxe top coat in “a cut above”. I followed up with essie - Gel.Setter Top Coat on all my nails to achieve that gel polish finish. This is also great because it helps your nails dry faster! The one thing I will say about the essie - Luxeffects Glitter Top Coat polish is that its hard to remove since all the glitter pieces are solid pieces that dont come off with acetone. They need to be scraped off with a nail scraper (a flat end) . Having a coat of nail polish underneath the glitter helps in the scraping process since you wont be directly scraping your nail.

GAME-CHANGING TIPS FOR THE PERFECT MANI 💅🏻💖✨
Everyone always wants to know how I manage to keep my nails looking healthy & freshly painted every time they see me. And no, I don’t just paint my nails every time before seeing them. It’s a whole process and habit that I’ve curated for the healthiest strongest nail routine! These are all things that I do and have learned from listening to pro nail artists, from nail care brands, etc.: 1) For a mani that always looks fresh and glossy, repaint your Top Coat every 2-3 days to keep up the shine! You can turn a slightly buffed nail back to it’s glossy glory days easily. This way, your nails will always look like they’ve just been painted and it also prevents chipping! I love my OLIVE&JUNE - Nail Polish Topcoat - it dries fast and looks super shiny. 2) When prepping your nails for your next manicure, shape and cut your nails with your old polish still on! This way, you can easily visualize the shape of your mani without getting distracted or thrown off by your natural nail line. 3) Use a cuticle oil, treatment, or serum! This will help promote healthy growth of your nail, keep away any dry cuticle bits around your nails and always complement your mani with smooth, beautiful cuticles! I love OLIVE&JUNE - Cuticle Serum Set - it’s super lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin so goodbye greasy fingers! 4) More on the cuticles, try not to cut or trim your cuticles- push them back gently with your nail or a cuticle stick instead! But make sure your cuticles have been softened (like a few minutes after applying a cuticle serum or right after a shower). This is something my grandma taught me when I was very young. By gently maintaining your cuticles with this method, your cuticles will never over grow to the point where you need to trim them! Once you start cutting/trimming them, it’s really hard to stop. 5) If you struggle to keep you hand still while painting your nails, try Olive&June’s Manicure Tool, Poppy! It’s a rubber removable tool that fits over most nail polish handles and its ergonomic shape guides you to make smoother and more even strokes! OLIVE&JUNE - The Poppy Manicure Tool 6) Keep up the hand cream! I keep it on my bedside table as a visual reminder to put some on. If you want a super rich one, try L'OCCITANE - Shea Butter Hand Cream ! But if you want something more lightweight and not as thick/sticky feeling after applying, try OLIVE&JUNE - Olive&June Hand Serum ! This will really help moisturize and nourish your hands daily. 7) Use an oil-based, acetone/alcohol-free nail polish remover. An oil-based one like ella+mila - Soy Nail Polish Remover Unscented will help to nourish nails your nails while removing nail polish instead of stripping them of its natural oils! *I know I mention Olive&June a lot but I just want to mention I’m not sponsored by them, I just truly love their products!

DIY Fall Ombre Nails 🍁🍂💅🏻 Super Easy! ✨
These ombre nails are what I call “nail art without actually needing to be good at art”! These nail polish shades are perfect for Fall and definitely make me want to cozy up in bed with a book. Here is what I used: Thumb & Pinky: OLIVE&JUNE - HGC Nail Polish Pointer Finger: OLIVE&JUNE - JJ Nail Polish Middle Finger: OLIVE&JUNE - MG Nail Polish Ring Finger: OLIVE&JUNE - JO Nail Polish I love Olive & June nail polishes because their wide flat brushes make painting SO easy and the formulas are always so creamy. Once they dry, they are not going to chip or crack away! (Seriously! They last a good 2 weeks on me before I see a single chip!) They are $8 on the Olive & June website and they also offer *free* polish painting classes! They have beginner level classes up to advanced that teach you nail basics and nail art! Some tips for painting your nails: - Always build up the color with thin coats (it looks better and will dry much faster than thick goopy coats) - I like to do 3 strokes when painting each nail (first down the middle, and then one on each side) don’t overdo it on the strokes otherwise your polish may gunk up! - Wait 5 minutes between each coat and at least an hour after your top coat - Use some nail polish remover to prep your nail beds before application so it removes any impurities and oils from your nail (which can affect the longevity of your polish!)

😒Capital NO for this nail polish remover! Dior disappointed me so much this time!
😒Capital NO for this nail polish remover! Dior disappointed me so much this time!
I have done nail art many times and have a lot of experience. Whether it is to go to the nail shop and ask someone to do it for me, or I do it at home, I know what a successful nail needs to have. First of all, good-looking nail art needs a healthy nail. Therefore, we need a variety of nail care products. Secondly, the success of nail art depends on your choice of nail polish. Everything from the texture to the color of the nail polish, from the durability to the gentleness of the nail polish will determine whether your nails look good or not. Then there are the nailing tools. Some nailing tools are not up to standard. After you use them, your nails will be allergic and your hands will be tanned. Finally, nail remover is available. Many people feel that this step is no longer important. On the contrary, this step can not only affect the health of your nails but also determine whether your next manicure is successful or not. DIOR DISSOLVANT ABRICOT $17.9 This is a Dior brand nail polish remover. I bought this product because its packing is really good. The color is a gentle fan, and the glass bottle packaging is attractive. But I found that I had made a very wrong decision. Because this nail polish remover only has a good-looking appearance, its real function is very poor. The main problem is that it has a poor function of removing armor. I tried to wipe my nails with a soaked cotton pad, but it took me a long time to find that there was still a lot of nail polish left. Especially for dark nail polish, the effect of this product is very little. In other words, in order to ensure that the product is mild, the main function is badly done. If I want to remove one nail completely, then I need a lot. And this product is not large in capacity and cost-effective. It can only be used two or three times when the price is close to 20 dollars.

Best nail polish remover ever❤Take a turn!
Anyone who likes nail art will know that your nail art will become very ugly in a few weeks. Your nails will become mottled because of growth and friction. At this time, if you don't need to go to the nail salon, a convenient and quick nail removal product is very necessary. KIKO MILANO Nail Polish Remover Fast & Easy Acetone Free $5.99 This is a nail polish remover I sent after I bought a lot of nail polish in the store. However, I never thought that these gifts were so easy to use! So, I went and bought some for home, because it was too convenient. Different from ordinary nail polish remover, we need to pour the liquid on a cotton pad and then apply it to nail polish. The most amazing thing about this product is that you just have to turn it around. Insert your finger into the center hole of the sponge. Rotate the bottle clockwise and anti-clockwise, keeping the nail lightly pressed against the sponge. The nail polish will be removed in a few minutes, and will not dehydrate nails or leave residues or traces. At the same time, some people will wonder whether the quick and simple method is very irritating. But in fact, this product is rich in sweet almond oil and pantheon, which has nutrition and protection. It can clean nails perfectly without dehydrating nails. What's even more amazing is that KIKO MILANO Nail Polish Remover Fast & Easy Acetone Free can quickly and effectively remove every trace of nail polish-even the deepest color-without damaging nails and using cotton pads. Of course, although this product is really easy to use, we still advise you not to get manicures too often. Give your nails more time to recover, and then use it after a while. Because no matter how good the product is, the nail thickness will become thinner.

HOW TO SAVE OLD NAIL POLISH W/ BASE COAT
HOW TO SAVE OLD NAIL POLISH W/ BASE COAT
We all have an old nail polish that we’ve used until it’s basically a dry, gluggy mess at the bottom of the bottle - that’s what OPI Tickle My France-y is to me. It’s a really nice wearable nude pink that I just love. It’s been gluggy for a few months now and I just haven’t worn it as much as I wanted to because the formula is so dry and hard to use. I know what you’re thinking - just put nail polish remover in the formula to thin it, right? WRONG. You should never do this with nail polish as it ruins the formula over time. Nail polish remover DISSOLVES nail polish, remember - so it actually destroys it over time. Ideally, you should use proper nail polish thinner, but that can be annoying to find (I haven’t been able to find it for a while). ORLY - Polish Thinner What if there was something that you could add to the polish that had the benefits of: ➡️Strengthening your nails ➡️Improving wear time ➡️Refilling your nail polish Well, that thing is basecoat. Here’s the thing - I’ve had this bottle of Rejuvacote for years now and it’s hardly gone down in volume. So I figured, why not use it to revive my bottle of Tickle My France-y? I actually did this before I decided to post about it (doh) so I don’t have before pictures, but trust me when I say it was unusable and gloopy. OPI - OPI Nail Lacquer I decided to add about a fifth of the bottle to my OPI Tickle My France-y and see what happened. To my delight, it worked a treat (and didn’t dilute the colour too much either). It’s just like new, plus my bottle went from 1/4 left to just over 2/3 full of polish - and now it’s reinforced with a nail strengthening formula! I call that a win and I think I’ll be keeping this on hand to add to any other gloopy polishes. duri - Rejuvacote 1 Nail Growth System

Nail Care | No other product "works as good" 🔥
OPI - Nail Envy Original $17.95 Provides maximum strengthening for: ● Harder ● Longer ● Stronger ● Natural nails to envy WHAT I LIKE: ● Dried quickly ● Helped make nail varnish last longer ● Easy to apply WHAT I DISLIKE: ● I would like a more obvious improvement in splitting nails ● May not suit those who prefer a more natural matte finish Let's just get straight to the point: This stuff WORKS!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥 DO NOT waste anymore money on any other products. Pictures speak for themselves. Nail Envy by OPI is literally the best nail strengthening polish out there. My nails became so strong and are actually growing. I recommend this product to everyone who has trouble growing your nails. I've wasted probably about 200 some odd dollars on nail strengthening polish. I wont specify brands, but I've literally tried everything out there. From drugstore brands, to super fancy one's. I've been disappointed so many times that I had practically given up. I accepted the fact that I have weak nails, and that I'll never be able to grow natural, nice, long nails. With that said, I settled for acrylics (which I hate with a passion). I had acrylics off and on for about 3 years, damaging my nail bed more and more. When I would remove the acrylics to let my nails breathe for a day or two, they were brittle, thin, easily breakable and not at all attractive. Fast forward a few years of putting up with acrylics, nails chipping, breaking, and painful throbbing, I became fed up with the entire thing and went on a hunt for the best nail strengthening product and this time, I was determined to find one. After many hours of research, I found consistently good reviews about OPI Nail Envy so I thought, what would it hurt to try one more thing? I've been using the product religiously for the past 9 months, and I am nothing less than impressed and shocked. My nails are growing longer than I am used to (even with the acrylics I would get) so I am a satisfied customer to say the least. They are strong and healthy, and while they're not completely break-proof (obviously), I've banged them several times here and there and they've held up for the most part. This product is a miracle. How to Use: Apply two coats to clean, dry nails with cuticles pushed back, followed by one coat every other day. After one week, use any OPI Polish Remover to remove all Nail Envy and nail lacquer, if present. Begin application again. Nail Envy works best to strengthen nails as a base coat in actual contact with the natural nail. It can also be used as a top coat over nail lacquer. Results vary by individual and are dependent on the initial condition of your nails. Disclaimer: you DO have to be patient. It's not going to happen overnight. It requires consistency, and a lot of patience. And having to deal with your nails being bare for a month or so. Sharing is caring.

Nail Care Hacks EVERYONE Should Know!
Nail Care Hacks EVERYONE Should Know!
Manicure lovers like me who often does nails knows that if they do nails frequently, the nails will become very thin and fragile! This is why nail care. is so important. During this pandemic, going out for a nail care or manicure is hard. Today I want to share my basic nail care hacks. You would be surprised how easy it it for you to take care of your nails at home. The method is very simple, easy to learn, and save money! Nail care is the most important basic preparation step for a healthy nail as well as a beautiful manicure. A good basic nail care can make nail painting last longer. Basic nail care mainly includes the steps of exfoliation and cleansing of nails. 💙Tools you will need: Coarse sand strip, sponge frustration, polishing strip, nutrient oil, softener, a push, a brush, dead skin scissors You can find these in Walmart or target or even dollar store in a basic nail care set. 💙Steps: 1. Use a sand strip to polish the nails into the shape you like. 2. Apply a little softener to the cuticles of the nail base, wait for 15 seconds 3. Then use the push to gently push down cuticles . 4. Use scissors to remove the dead skin (cuticles were split and ragged) 5. Use sponge to polish the surface of the nail evenly with the rougher side 6. And then polish the nail surface evenly 7. Apply some hand oil or cream especially around the nails and massage in circular motions with your fingertips. At this point, nail care is complete. The hands are very moisturized and nails are shiny after finishing. I would recommend do this every two weeks to get healthy and shinny nails. If you always do manicures or apply nail polish, then a weekly basis would be a better option. LAROC - Nail Care Manicure Set JĀSON - Nail Saver, Tea Tree DAZZLE DRY - Nail Care Kit

💅🏼removal +nail care guide (artificial nails)
💅🏼removal +nail care guide (artificial nails)
Acrylic, dip, press ons, gel, you name it- I’ve tried it. But artificial nail removal can be really hard on your natural nails. I found a way to nurse mine in between manicures. 💧 REMOVING GEL, DIP, & ACRYLIC NAILS 💧 (Press ons get their own section) Get a Glass bowl, a wooden cuticle pusher, & 100% Acetone. I use the ULTA BEAUTY - 100% Maximum Strength Acetone It’s 16 oz for $4.99, which is great value! Make sure the bowl is glass or metal, because acetone dissolves some plastics. Also it has to be 100% acetone. Regular polish remover can take hours to break down acrylic or nail glue. PS: for acrylic, you should clip the extensions before the next step. Fill a bowl with enough acetone to soak your nails in. I know it’s super drying... Some people recommend putting Vaseline around the nail to protect your skin. I haven’t tried this yet. Still, let them sit in the bowl for 5-10 minutes. Take it out, push off excess acrylic, & repeat. So gel, dip, and acrylic break down differently. Gel tends to chip off, dip fades into the liquid, and acrylic turns to jelly. When you take it out, use a napkin/ cuticle nail pusher to remove stubborn loose ends. Acrylic nails need this the most. You can use a wooden or metal cuticle pusher to gently shave down the jelly. Repeat the acetone -> pusher process until it’s completely off. ⭐️ AND DONE ⭐️ 🌺 REMOVING PRESS ONS FOR REUSE 🌺 Acetone destroys press-on nails. Yes, even Soy polish remover does. :( made that mistake once already. So what can you do? Fill a bowl with soap & water to dip your nails in & soften the glue. Use your wooden stick or floss to gently separate from loose edges of the nail. DONT work from the free edge of the nail because that will damage the length. And whatever u do, don’t yank it off! This process requires a lot of patience but is worth it to keep your press ons safe. 🧖‍♀️ POST MANICURE NAIL CARE 🧖‍♀️ Two things contribute to nail health: 🌊 Hydration 💎 Hardness Hydration helps your nails bend, making them less likely to break. But they can’t be toooo soft. To achieve both those things, I use nailtiques - Nail Protein Formula 2 Plus and HERITAGE STORE - Organic Lavender Castor Oil The oil comes with 8 oz for $11.99. I just fill up a tiny bowl with it to soak my fingers in throughout the week. In my bare nails photo, you can see how it keeps my skin moist and my nails flake-free. The Nailtiques hardens your nails by giving them a protein boost. But careful- don’t use it too much. Too much hardness makes for brittle nails that can snap easily if they’re bumped. 🚨 ONE MORE THING: Avoid removing acrylic with an electric file. It’s easy to hit your natural nail without realizing, and we don’t want thinner nails! Worst comes to worst, biotin can help you grow healthy, gorgeous nails again 🥀
