Bumpy texture and acne
Hello! I’ve recently tried to stick to a more consistent skin care routine, although I did get help selecting the products based on the skincare goals I had I have yet to achieve the goals I had in mind. As of right now I’m using : THAYERS - Unscented Facial Toner Followed by The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 And my moisturizer is normally : CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ And a pump of CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum Occasionally I will use the following ( on alternate nights) : The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream I’m starting to believe that the little bumps on my cheeks won’t go away because they may be fungal acne, but can’t tell. I need help in finding out what this is and how I can clear up my skin! 😩😩😩 Overall I just need help! Thank you ! xxx

$$$ saving tips at Sephora ✨
Shopping at Sephora is always a fun affair! The shopping aisles are well-designed with brightly lit lights and curated with a good playlist. Staff are always so helpful and look so put together. Plus, I love the curated and premium brands stocked at the stores. Whether it’s skincare, make-up, fragrance or beauty tools, Sephora makes it real easy for me to get something for myself or a loved one. While most of us are not visiting Sephora stores as often as before, the online shopping experience is equally wonderful with its well-designed website layout. Here are some of my tips that are going to change the way you fill your Sephora cart. 1. Always Shop The SALES section first Weekly Wow used to be Sephora’s wonderful sale section and while it’s gone now, the Sales section is stocked with a great selection of products that are worthy-to-share. Ranging from all types of items like skincare, make-up or tools, these items will be on sale for as much as 50% off, both in store and online. Do check back weekly as sale items change every week! 2. Lenient Return Policy You can pretty much return or exchange anything that's not more than half used. Sephora is known to have a pretty lenient policy for this, and as much as I don’t want to advocate this tip for fear of wasteful beauty lovers taking advantage of the store return policy, it is a good chance for you to try new brands and products. I stock up one of my favorite skincare brands, The Ordinary at Sephora as well. The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is an affordable and effective serum that offers deeper exfoliation that helps to unclog pore congestion and my dull skin to gain some radiance. The lightweight liquid formula also improves the appearance of skin texture and reduces the look of fine lines. The cruelty-free and vegan serum also does not contain any alcohol, gluten, nuts, oil, silicone, parabens, sulfates that may irritate sensitive skin. I usually use this in my evening routine on cleansed and dry face, no more than twice per week. Apply evenly across face and neck using your fingertips. Leave on for no more than 10 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 3. Free Birthday Gifts To receive your free birthday gift, you just need to sign up for a free Beauty Insider Membership. Your gift will be available during the month of your birthday - two weeks before and after your birthdate. Just stop into any store, ask for your birthday gift, and provide your information to the cashier. To redeem your birthday gift online, you’ll just need to make a purchase.

the secret to flawless base makeup
There’s a lot of brands nowadays that are emphasizing the importance of caring for your skin first instead of trying to simply cover flaws with makeup. Of course makeup is a lot more than that; it’s a creative outlet for many, but I appreciate the efforts to highlight skin health nonetheless. All that to say that makeup and skincare are inextricably related in a lot of ways, including what I want to talk about in this post: using chemical exfoliants to ensure a smooth base for makeup. While this isn’t something I was always aware of, the experts know: in fact, Dr. Dennis Gross actually recommends using his cult favorite Dr Dennis Gross - Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peel in the mornings before makeup because it ensures a smooth, even surface, making makeup apply better. Many people think acids should be used only at night, but that is absolutely NOT true—as long as you wear adequate sun protection, there is no problem with using them in the morning. It’s important to use exfoliants to keep your skin clear of dead skin cells, which can cause makeup to appear uneven or to not stay well throughout the day. It’s also important to stay consistent with them to see lasting results, though those with more sensitive skin may not be able to use them every day. Listen to your skin and find the frequency that’s right for you. So here are just a few chemical exfoliants, though there are nearly endless options out there! The Dr. Dennis Gross pads are the best exfoliant I’ve ever tried—they’re amazing at lightening dark spots and smoothing texture, and I notice a definite difference in my makeup when I use them in the mornings. Sadly, they are very pricey, which is why I don’t use them every day and I always keep other options on hand. I also love the PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator as a gentle everyday exfoliant. The salicylic acid has been amazing at helping reduce my acne and texture, and although the oilier texture put me off at first, now it feels moisturizing (maybe due to the green tea extract?), which I really appreciate given that it’s an exfoliant. This is a much more affordable option, at $29.50 for 4oz. I’ve used both the tarte - Knockout Tingling Treatment Tonerand the pixi - Glow Tonicin the past, though I haven’t had a chance to crack open these particular bottles. The glow tonic uses glycolic acid as its main exfoliant, while the knockout toner has a hefty blend of acids and is *very* strong—like, I use acids frequently and even I couldn’t use this every day. Last, I haven’t tried the REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toneryet, but I’m interested to see how the lactic acid works for me since I haven’t used many lactic acid products. Does anyone else notice a difference in their makeup when they forget to exfoliate? #CheriePartner

my holy grail product for red and dark spots
You may have seen me rave about the Dr Dennis Gross - Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peel before, but that’s because they do things to my skin that I didn’t know were possible. These pictures are 9 days apart, and in between when they were taken, I used these peeling pads for three consecutive days. Only three days! These are pricey, so I’m only using them now because as you can see, I’m healing from a pretty bad breakout that left me with a lot of post-acne marks. I’m really hoping the meds I just started taking will prevent breakouts like this in the future, but in the meantime, these will always be the product I turn to for rapid improvement in acne and pigmentation.

The FAB Four Travel Set
This is probably my favorite brand, but it’s not perfect. There are some products that are really amazing and then some that just flopped. I want to focus on these four which are some of their most popular products from the brand. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser This is definitely one of my favorite cleansers especially because of how well it cleanses. It’s best for combination to drier skin types. This product has amazing hydrating ingredients such as glycerin and aloe extract. -Fragrance-free. -Contains soothing ingredients such as feverfew and licorice extract. -Rinses without leaving any residue. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads This product has a very interesting formula containing very soothing and beneficial ingredients, however, it also contains some irritating ones. This product contains some citrus extracts which are very irritating ingredients and it also means that it has fragrance. -It also contains aloe and cucumber extract which are very soothing ingredients. -The exfoliating aspect of this product is characterized by lactic and glycolic acid. -In addition to aloe and cucumber extract, this product also contains glycerin and hyaluronic acid. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream This is a very good moisturizing cream especially for those with dry skin. It contains great ingredients for this such as shea butter, glycerin, and squalane. The formula also contains soothing ingredients such as allantoin, feverfew extract, and licorice extract. -Product also contains colloidal oatmeal which is good for irritation, rashes, eczema, and other skin conditions. -This formula also has one form of ceramides. -Unfortunately, it contains a fragrant oil, eucalyptus, it is the very last thing on the ingredient list. When I used this product, I couldn’t even tell that there was eucalyptus oil in it. Which I’m going to assume that there is a very small amount. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Weightless Liquid Mineral SPF 30 This is definitely going to be based on ingredients since my experience wasn’t very good. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but the product had a very sandy texture. I personally don’t agree with just reviewing products based on personal experience since everyone’s skin is different. What works for me may not work for someone else. -Fragrance-free. -This sunscreen does have a tint which counteracts the white cast. -The product contains feverfew and licorice extracts, amazing soothing ingredients. -It also includes green tea, vitamin C, and E which are great antioxidants. FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Four Travel Faves Kit Overall, I think this is a very good travel set especially if you want to try out some products from First Aid Beauty. I would recommend the cleanser which I actually have been using for a while now. The cream moisturizer is also a good pick, but be careful with the fragrance.

Products That Have Been Great for Maskne
Maskne has been throwing me for a loop and it’s been really difficult to figure out how to prevent and combat these pesky breakouts, especially as someone who has acne-prone skin and is already dealing with breakouts of my own. I’ve found that it really comes down to exfoliation and making sure that your skin is thoroughly cleansed after wearing a mask (plus, making sure that your mask is clean and that you’re not using creamy/oily makeup and skincare products). Here are of my maskne superheroes: dermalogica - Precleanse Cleansing Oil This deep-cleansing oil melts make-up and impurities from the skin and helps remove those pore-clogging layers of oil, sunscreen, environmental pollutants and residual products that are building up under your mask and getting ready to cause breakouts. This is a really great cleansing oil and I recommend using it at night after a long day of wearing a mask. It’s meant to be used before a regular cleanser as the first step in double cleansing, so make sure that you follow up with a water-based or gel-like cleanser afterwards to really get into those pores and get rid of all the buildup. If you’re worried about it irritating your skin, know that it’s also formulated with essential fatty acids to nourish and replenish the skin barrier. I will be repurchasing this when it runs out and would recommend it to a friend! FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads Any exfoliating product will do, but I’ve found that FAB’s Radiance Pads have been great for keeping maskne at bay. It’s designed for sensitive skin types and contains glycolic and lactic acids to promote exfoliation and brightness. I like to use them as a toner/exfoliation moment after I double cleanse to really make sure that all the pore-clogging gunk is out of my skin. Since it’s sensitive skin-approved, you don’t have to worry about any stinging or irritation and it also helps improve overall texture and tone over time. These are my all-time favorite pads and I’d definitely recommend them to a friend. OLE HENRIKSEN - Invigorating Night Transformation Gel Now that everything is cleaned and exfoliated, it’s important to treat the affected areas as well. I like to use this at night as a spot treatment and focus it on the areas that are most susceptible to breaking out (my jawline, chin, nose, cheekbones, etc.) It’s a thick serum gel that’s formulated with potent AHAs to smooth skin texture, even tone, and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles while you sleep. It’s great for sensitive skin and doesn’t cause irritation, so it’s gentle enough for nightly use. Just make sure you wear sunscreen the next day. I like having it around but I don’t know if I’ll repurchase it. I’ve found that Clean & Clear’s Persagel 10 spot treatment is also really good as well, and it’s more affordable.

Luxury Skincare: did NOT solve my problems! 🚫
I waited years before getting my hand on the may lindstrom skin - The Problem Solver I dealt with acne from adolescence up until I was about 22 and I remember how badly I wanted this product, thinking it would literally solve my acne problems; Fast forward a couple more years, I was actually gifted it at a work event and was super excited to give it a try! 🤩 but unfortunately that’s where my excitement ended 🙃 What I Expected: * Clarified skin * Oil control * Acne problems solved ✅ What I Got: * Over-priced product ($100 😳) * Irritated skin & dryness * Acne problems NOT solved 🥴 (so glad I didn’t purchase with my own money 💰) According to the website, “the unique formula brightens, heals inflammation and irritation, fades hyperpigmentation, stimulates collagen production, and treats and prevents breakouts.” Unfortunately, I didn’t not experience any of that. The texture of the product was slightly different in that it had a moussey like texture, unlike something I’ve experienced before. But the ingredients in the formula are really not the best for sensitive skin, and I also question it for other skin types [baking soda, cayenne pepper, sea salt, etc...] 🤔 I experienced itchiness, redness, & dryness. The instructions said to leave on for about 30-45mins but I couldn’t keep it in longer than 10 😖 This is one product I was sadly disappointed by, and would recommend using a cheaper alternative or a salicylic acid mask that can help with congestion. My recommendations * HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask (used in the past) * HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial (currently using) I’ve used both and was very happy with the results I got, plus they are much gentler on the skin. The blue tansy is also formulated for acne prone skin, and you can pick up a mini set from Sephora for only $24! What luxury products have you been disappointed by? 💔 #CheriePartner

Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Let's get to know about exfoliants more! No matter if you're a skincare junkie, expert or just a beginner, skin exfoliation can be very tricky and confusing and most of the mainstream skin advices can be minimally backed by science and geared towards selling the product or giving you false information. That's how skincare myths are formed. I'm talking about some pretty known myths about Exfoliation : ✨Like, Physical exfoliants/scrubs are bad for your skin and they cause micro-tears that lead to infection or they're worse than Chemical exfoliants: Physical exfoliants that contain irregular granular sizes and shapes are definitely going to irritate your skin. But if you're a well-experienced skincare person or someone who knows how to handle gentle, small granular exfoliants well like professionals, in such hands it can be a very effective. Take Micro-dermabrasion or Dermaplaning for instance. If you haven't done it before it's likely to cause you some irritation, I wouldn't say damage as it's a truly strong and deep term to use. Our skin can naturally heal itself to a large degree, that self-healing capability can be overstressed with exogenous (outside/physical) factors and sometimes Indogenous (inner) factors such as your ethnicity, genetics and some skin conditions like dermititis, rosacea or psoriasis. So, my point here is, the myth that only physical exfoliators cause any damage to our skin is incorrect. On top of that, physical exfoliants cause micro-tears is a far stretched myth that doesn't have enough scientific evidence to support. The thing about it is anything harsh on our skin is going to cause inflammation and redness but chemical exfoliants can cause the same if done too much. For our skin to break or tear and get a cut there needs to be a lot of pressure and sharpness to the object. The scrubs don't necessarily tear/cut our skin unless you're rubbing it too harsh or with a lot of pressure and over-doing it. Chemical exfoliators can overstress and irritate our skin at the same degree as well, if overdone. Damage is a strong word for any skincare regimen that is backed by science. It's a fairly vast topic to discuss here but here's the crux of the topic that I'm trying to highlight. Not over-exfoliating is the only key to keep our skin healthy and non-irritated. Be it physical or chemical exfoliants. We need some of the dead skin cells on our Stratum Corneum. Meaning, we should let our Stratum Corneum have a layer of some dead skin cells along with it's biome. The diverse yet integrated functions of the SC collectively serve to detect, protect, respond, and/or adapt against several exogenous factors. Now, why I like or majority of people like chemical exfoliants is because they seem to be hustle free, you apply a thin layer and leave it overnight or for few minutes and it thins down our Stratum Corneum that is the deal skin cells on our skin as well as penetrates deeper in skin and decongests it. But for many people chemical exfoliants can be quite intimidating and if they like to do manual Exfoliation it's totally fine as long as they're not putting a lot of pressure and overdoing it. ✔️👍 I like both physical and chemical exfoliation. I use these chemical facial peeling solutions or masks as well as gentle scrubs to take care of my dead skin. These are some of the exfoliators I use. These are all types of exfoliators, Physical - Scrubs, Peeling gels Chemical - Facial AHA, BHA masks, solutions, in shower facials These are the ones I don't find so attractive for the price: Scrubs: 1. @avantskincare Gentle Rose beautifying facial exfoliant 114$avant - Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant The ones I like: Scrubs: 1. @skinandco Face gommage 26$SKIN&CO - Truffle Therapy Gommage Peeling gels: 1. @wishfulskin Yo Glow enzyme scurb 39$HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub 2. @saturdayskin Rub-a-dub Refining peel gel 28$SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel Instant Facial masks/solutions: 1. @theordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 7.20$The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 2. @olehenriksen PHAT Glow Facial™ Mask 50$OLE HENRIKSEN - PHAT Glow Facial Mask 3. @aveeno POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 Second In-Shower Facial Aveeno - Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial Cleanser

Is Peel gel worth the hype?Which one is better?
Peeling gel is relatively new hype in the skincare community and a lot of brands these days are bringing such peeling gels in the market! There are many tyles of such peel gels available mostly inspired from K-beauty brands and I have thought about these two! ✨Firstly, what is peeling gel/enzyme srub?? ➡️Peeling gels help dissolve dead skin cells. When it is applied, it will ball up in tiny pieces, extracting dead skin cells as you gently rub the product on your face. The product reacts to the oil on the surface of your skin and creates clumps that help pick up dead skin cells. Not a lot of people compare these two but when I first heard about @wishful Glow enzyme scrubHUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub I instantly thought about @saturdayskin Skin refining peel gel. SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel ✨ They're very similar in function and application. ✨Both contain Papaya and Pineapple (Bromelain/ Ananas) extract ✨Glow enzyme scrub has AHA and BHA in it Saturday skin peel gel doesn't have it. ✨Pineapple extract works as natural gentle exfoliant anyway so there is mild chemical exfoliation that takes place in both of them. ✨Both have added perfume or essential oils to mask the chemical smell ✨Glow enzyme scrub is more liquidy than Saturday skin peel gel. It is thick gel scrub that lasts longer than Glow enzyme scrub. ✨Glow enzyme scrub has strong (perfume like) fragrance that I found a bit overwhelming. Saturday skin peel gel doesn't have overwhelming fragrance. ✨Both work similar way in peeling and forming white cellulite particles that look like dead skin coming off of your skin surface but actually that's just the product reacting with facial oils and binding together that way. ✨The results with using both of these are similar, smooth soft skin and over the time they both reduce the appearance of fine lines, texture and hyperpigmentation. 🌿My experience and conclusion: ✨These both help in giving you a smooth, soft skin instantly after each application. Does it work like chemical exfoliants? No. But it definitely helps in getting rid of some dead skin. ✨So which one do I think is better? @saturdayskin peel gel is much better in my opinion!! ❤️ Saturdayskin costs 28$ for 75 ml and Glow enzyme costs 39$ for 100$. But @saturdayskin peel gel lastsonger as you don't need a lot of it and because of it's thick texture you end up squeezing lesser than Glow enzyme. ☝️ It's a great product to have in your skincare collection although it's not necessary 👍 Have you tried this product??💖✨

GLOSSIER SKINCARE: Reviewing It All! Part 1 ✨
Glossier is hot and happening in the beauty world. You have to been living under a rock if you are not familar with this online beauty brand. In this post, I will review part of their skincare to see if it’s worth it or not! ✨ Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser One should begin every day with a clean face - hence this starting with the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. Like the name suggests, the consistency of this facial cleanser feels jelly, but once you mix it in with water, make-up, dirt - ew! - on your face, it actually turns into a milky consistency. It is a very soft cleanser, especially good for anyone that struggles with dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin, because it does not leave your face feeling squeaky clean. It also does not sting your eyes at all. Would I recommend this product? Yes, if you have dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin and want a cleanser that is soft and leaves your skin hydrated. 🤍 Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector & Glossier. - Cotton Rounds After cleansing, it's time for my favorite skincare step ever: chemical exfoliation. Unlike physical exfoliators that scrape off the surface of your skin, chemical exfoliators like the Glossier Solution gently sloughs dead cells away through chemical exfoliation using 10% of three different acids - Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), and Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) - dissolving the bonds gluing problematic dead cells to the healthy skin beneath. With daily use, expect cleared acne and blackheads, smaller pores, and reduced redness. Skin’s texture will be smoother and softer, and the fabled glow of balanced, healthy skin will be in full force. Glossier also sells these cotton rounds with a G on it. They're soft and they look pretty cute, but they're definitely nothing special. I would personally skip these, except if you are a cotton round connaisseur. Would I recommend this product? Yes, if you struggle with acne, blackheads, or an uneven skin texture. 👌🏻 Glossier. - The Super Duo : Glossier. - Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum & Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum & Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum Even though chemical exfoliators are in my opinion the real work horse in any skincare routine, I do love to use a good serum as well. Whatever your skin needs, Glossier came out with The Super Pack - three different serums that can be used as additional supplements for your face whenever your skin needs it. See them as your little helpers whenever your skin has some special needs. They are lightweight, non-greasy, and perfect to use for any skintype. Would I recommend this product? Yes, if you have some extra coin to spend on fancy serums + cute packaging, or if you struggle finding serums that are not too heavy. 💕 #cheriecreator

Glossier: One Timers + Future Empties!
We all know a lot about Glossier’s powerhouse makeup products, such as their Boy Brow and Cloudpaint- but on Cherie, I don’t see a huge discussion around their skincare. After testing out Glossier’s skincare products over a month and a half, I have a lot of thoughts! Glossier. - Milky Oil Waterproof Makeup Remover this is a glorified micellar water, but unfortunately way less effective. For their price point, you’d expect it to remove waterproof mascara easily. Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum this guy is pretty good. I’m finding that I’m personally needing a more hydrating niacinamide product in my routine than this, which is why I give it four stars! Otherwise, if you have normal skin and simply want to maintain with a thinner, more watery consistency that’s pretty straightforward and you’re willing to spend a bit more than for the Ordinary/ Inkey List, definitely consider this. I’m giving THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Seruma try, and I’ll report back! Glossier. - Mega Greens Galaxy Pack Detoxifying Face Mask pleasantly surprised! I’d use this 2-3 times a week and it made my skin feel gently unclogged. I came off of a bad reaction to previous products but still wanted to gently exfoliate/ detoxify my skin, and this delivered. Sensitive skin folks- this could be great for you. Oily skin/ normal? If you want stronger results, seek elsewhere! Glossier. - Moisturizing Moon Mask when I used this, I’d pretty much leave this baby on for at least 20 mins, let my skin soak up as much of this as possible, and gently whipe away excess with a reusable pad, then basically go to sleep. I’d wake up in the morning with soft, supple skin- I haven’t gotten little pimples or anything either. On dry days with my primarily dry skin, this was great. Definitely repurchasing and definitely using this more often in the winter time! Glossier. - Zit Stick Breakout Eraser due to the stress of a new job/ new workout routine/ new sleep schedule in one week, my face was like “what the ****?!” And I got three planets on my chin at the beginning of the 1 1/2 month product line test. Within less than a week, these big boys subsided quicker than usual. Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector I’ve been wanting to use something like this for the occasional blemishes and to clear out nose blackheads for my AM routine. Solid addition! I realized I need to recognize that with salicylic acid in it to go easy on my skin and strategize throughout the week on minimizing how often I use it. Using it twice a week had been my sweet spot personally! Seeking specific anti-aging treatments? Maybe not for you. These are all great products for someone: -younger -starting out in skincare -someone who needs to rotate gentler products into their routine Hope this was helpful✨🙌🏼

My Favorite Exfoliating Products
I know a lot of ppl believe that physically exfoliating can harm the skin. However, I am not of those people. I like to use both Physical and Chemical exfoilants and believe they each have their own benefits as long as you’re using the correct products for your skin and nothing too harsh. Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser - This is my Holy Grail Exfoliating Cleanser. It’s has a blend Of salicylic, Lactic and Glycolic acid to polish away dull, dry skin without irritation. The “beads” in the product are very fine tiny jojoba beads which adds more moisture and hydration so my skin doesn’t dry out. It Reveals smoother texture and a brighter younger looking complexion. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Firmx Exfoliating Peel Gel - I love to use the gel when my skin is feeling really sensitive but I still need it exfoliate. It doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals or Abrasive beads, it’s a light gel that you rub on your face and the dead skin literally rolls off! It contains Enzymes from fruit and Cellulose to effectively remove impurities and purify clogged pores. My skin is always super smooth after, this is perfect for someone with sensitive skin. JUICE BEAUTY - GREEN APPLE Peel Full Strength Exfoliating Mask - juice Beauty is a great organic, vegan, clean beauty brand that uses all natural ingredients. This peel I also have in the Sensitive Skin Version. It uses acids derived from fruits to give you a brighter complexion. It does have a thick texture and an odd smell, but for the benefits it’s worth it. Murad - Intensive-C Radiance Peel - This is a chemical peel that’s a Rich Gel cream with antioxidants, Glycolic acid and Indian Fig Extract refine skin by gently dissolving dead skin cells and improves texture and tone. Potent Vitamin C enhances radiance and luminosity. This product is definitely the strongest of the chemical peels I own but it really does brighten and reduce my pores.

It has niacinamide and copper peptides. The most lightweight TO dupe for oily skin. THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum($7): a great high-quality product. It’s better for people who have drier skin.  CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser($14): great for people who have dry sensitive skin  VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser($9): good for dry and sensitive skin. Dermatologists are constantly recommending it. You could find it at pretty much every drugstore. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser ($11): you could find it anywhere LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser($15): great for dry skin, but still provides a little bit of foam. Plus it’s a big size for a great price point.  The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5($7) THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum($7): not much difference with TOGOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum($6): this brand focuses on sustainability with a great price point  CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin($11): Neutrogena - Neutrogena Combination Skin Moisture($12): does a good job to moisturize your face without making it oily. Fragrance and irritant-free. Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion($10): very similar with CeraVe product  The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution($9): an exfoliating product  THE inkey LIST - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner($7): With the most similar formula. Not heavy, super lightweight. Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA($25): a little bit expensive, but it works so much better than TO for Hyram. He had never experienced sensitivity, irritation, redness, burning, stinging with this product. BEAUTY BAY - SkinHit Correcting Serum($7): much more gentle but still effective at exfoliating the dead skin cells off of the face  Please leave your thoughts and suggestions below💖💖

DO THIS before popping pimples!
We have all fallen victim to sitting in front of our magnified mirror for an hour, pinching and pressing at our skin trying to clear up all the zits. Once we are done, we discover our face is red, splotchy and usually looking way worse than before! WHY you shouldn't pop your pimples at home- 1) It can cause infection! 🚫 Infection can occur for a few reasons. Either your hands are not completely clean when you start touching it, or you pop the pimple but don't completely rid it of pus. If there is still bacteria under the surface, it can spread and cause a cystic bump or nodule! 2) It causes irritation most likely you are not controlling the angle and pressure of your hands when squeezing a pimple. This can damage the skin and cause irriation and redness that may take a while to heal! And finally... 3) Can cause permanent damage I know it is hard to believe that this can happen, but as a licensed esthetician I am alwaus reminding folks of the damage they can cause at home. The skin must heal properly after a pimple is extracted, otherwise it can leave behind a scar or hyperpigmentation. Without using the proper technique, this can happen much easier than you think! The damage leaves you with an even more difficult skin condition to cure than just a pesky pimple. ☆What to use instead of your hands or dangerous extractor tools: MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion I love how affordable this spot treatment is! This works perfectly on those pimples that look like they're about to pop. It absorbs the bacteria and allows the pimple to heal without harsh techniques. HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original and Invisible+ Bundle The mighty patch products are also great as an overnight pimple treatment. It absorbs the infection and stays on just the spot you need healing. I like this option even more for larger pimples that can spread bacteria on surrounding skin easily! HOW TO USE EITHER OF THESE SPOT TREATMENTS: -properly cleanse the face and apply night time products, avoiding pimples that will be covered in spot treatment. Do not shake, and use a cotton swap to apply the drying lotion only on pimple. The patches are simply stuck to skin right over the affected area. Cleanse off or remove the next morning and reapply as needed the following night! FYI: This won't work as well on closed comedones like whiteheads, so choose a physical exfoliant in your routine instead. 🌿🌿 Some options for closed bumps and deeper acne breakouts: Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Solution dermalogica - Retinol Acne Clearing Oil If you can, seek out a professional to perform extractions on the skin. They are trained in keeping your skin clean and cause as little damage as possible. Many facials include extractions as a part of the process. ☆What do you use on your pimples?

All my ahas for the night time
Yes, it’s a bit much but mind you I built up to this and took my time to get to this as well. THE inkey LIST - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner I use it with my fingers to avoid wastage of product but you can use a cotton pad if it’s easier, I like to spot treat along with the lactic acid serum. Both have done wonders for me and I am soooo grateful for the low price point! The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA After dabbing on the glycolic acid on areas of my forehead, cheeks and chin, I go over it with the lactic acid and a few other serums. You can always use one in place of the other but I have found that this combination has worked really well for me. I used to use the lactic acid on its own previous and it really has visibly changed the texture of my skin which I am sooo happy to talk about because no other product has made such a huge difference in such a short amount of time. VERSED - THE SHORTCUT Overnight Facial Peel Pretty decent, it’s good to use as a night cream on my décolletage and neck, I feel like I neglect those areas often because I don’t want to waste product and this really helps me with exfoliating and stuff. I think AHAs are very good for overall skin texture and renewal! Look into it, if you haven’t already.

The best facial peel! My skin looks radiant!
The best facial peel! My skin looks radiant!
This brand is vegan and eco-ethical. The Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citus Facial Peel is the best thing I’ve used!!! Seriously. It’s so good. My skin instantly feels hydrated and brighter. I like to use it once a week. It is not abrasive at all. So this is a good option for those with sensitive skin!

Dr Dennis Gross - Skincare Alpha Beta Peel Original Formula 60 Applications Honestly I hate to love these because they’re so expensive, but trust me when I say they are worth the price. Sometimes they are cheaper on Amazon so make sure to check there before Sephora. They’re supposed to be daily but who can afford that? I do them every Sunday for a fresh start to the week. I also use it at night when I feel like a break out is coming and the next morning it’s completely gone. I have sensitive skin and I had no issues. They are not drying to me but I also slather on moisturizer after each application. During the week I also use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution In conjunction with Dennis gross pads. The pads are just too pricey to use twice a week but the ordinary is only $7! With these two products I have no need or desire to get a professional facial 🤗

Redness and irritation
Redness and irritation
So I’ve been dealing with some redness and irritation for a while now and I’m not sure if it’s due to over exfoliating or a reaction to a specific product. The product I think might be causing it is the KINSHIP - Supermello Hydrating Gel-Cream Moisturizeras it has fragrance. My skin is normally dry and I have pink undertones, but the redness has definitely flared up recently. Pairing my routine back to only include: Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser Krave - Great Barrier Relief FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 I was also using PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliatorbut I only used it once before deciding to stop. The irritation occurred before I started using it. I was using a different exfoliant before. Let me know if you have any thoughts or tips. Thanks!
