$60 VS. $550 who’s the winner?
I’ve never been able to master a great at-home blowout, despite having the best hair dryer and smoothing hair products known to man. Moments into the process, a) my super curly hair frizzes in protest, b) I give up when my biceps and delts can no longer handle the burn. That’s why, when I want to go sleek, I am a devotee to hair dryer brushes, which combine the work of round brushing and blow drying hair into one foolproof step, perfect for people like me who "can't dry their own hair." And that's why I love the Dyson AirWrap, which transforms my mop of thick, curly hair in a silky smooth sheet in 15 minutes flat — but it comes with a whopping $550 price tag. Way too expensive. I went to Amazon to find a dupe of Dyson Airwrap — when I stumbled upon the Revlon One-Step. I've seen it on Instagram, Youtube A LOT. And heard some of the hype and was instantly sold by the more than 20,000 reviewers claiming it changed their lives. If it was good enough for them, it was certainly good enough for my low-maintenance (read: lazy) hair care routine. So I decided to give it a try. REVLON - One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer Is the No.1 Best Seller On Amazon In Beauty Care. The smart design of the brush is what makes this tool unique. The oval shape allows for two different types of brushes to work together simultaneously: The longer, flatter side acts as a hair-straightening paddle brush, while its rounded corners lift the hair from its roots and create volume like a round brush does. I was surprised at how big the One-Step was in person. It was retro-looking in comparison to some of the other hair tools I’ve seen. I washed my hair, towel-dried it and let it air-dry for about 15 minutes while I got ready. Twisting the handle to the high setting, I ran the brush under large sections of my damp hair, then pulled the brush to the ends in curling motion. It was awkward at first because of how big the brush was, but eventually I got the hang of it. It was easier than the times I tried to use a regular blow-dryer and round brush in tandem, and my arms never got tired. My hair looks like I went to the hair salon, had a noticeable amount of volume and shine — a pretty good hair day in my book. I wish it had a smaller barrel size so I could create more volume from the base of my roots, but I know I shouldn’t expect the same results of a traditional blow-dryer blowout. This is a great option for someone who wants a quick and easy way to dry their hair and do simple styling.
Revlon Hot Air Brush Dupe
This hot air brush is made by Vaslon and I ordered it off Amazon for $35.99 CAD compared to $64.99 CAD for the Revlon hot air brush. This how air brush is a 4-in-1. It says it’s a curler, a straightener, a hair dryer, and a comb. While I haven’t used it as a curler, I can attest to the fact that it does dry your hair and combs through nicely, giving it a sleek look if that’s what you’re going for. Typically I would just zap my hair with my dyson hair dryer, but on days where I have a bit more time I’ll opt for this. REVLON - One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer I’m not able to tag the actual product I bought but since I’m saying this is a dupe for the Revlon hot air brush, it’ll have to do lol. My hair is naturally straight and fine so this product easily straightens my hair. I’m unfortunately not able to say whether or not it works well on curly hair. Has any curly-haired people tried a similar product? The Vaslon hot air brush comes with 3 heat settings: low, middle, and high. It doesn’t change the force at which the air blows but it’s nice to have options for heat. I’ll typically use the middle setting and I don’t find it too hot at all, especially if I’m applying it next to my scalp. In saying that, always always use heat protectant when applying heat! What is also nice about this product is that the very top of the appliance allows you to hold onto it and it doesn’t get hot. Overall this hot air dryer is pretty light weight and I like that it contains negative ion technology, which essentially means it dries your hair faster while causing less heat damage :) Always a plus! The brush head consists of small bristles as well as long tooth comb ends :) it makes my hair nice and shiny in my opinion and easily gets rid of any knots. 100% recommend trying this product as you can basically give yourself a blow-out without having to maneuver your hair dryer and a round brush :)

Postpartum Hair Loss: Don't Panic! I use them to save my hair!
Last year, pastpartum hair loss occurred after giving the birth. I was so scared that I searched online and spent a lot of time studying how to treat postpartum hair loss. Now my baby is 5 months old, and the problem of hair loss is almost solved out. Plus, my hair quality is even better than before. First, I believe that many people are in the same mood as me at the beginning that they want to prevent hair loss after pregnancy. They would change shampoos they used, eat sesame seeds, apply ginger and other methods, but finally they were useless. The reason is postpartum hair loss is normal! Increased hormone secretion in the body after pregnancy will promote hair growth. However, after giving birth, as the hormone changes, hair loss will occur, but it will gradually recover in about 6 months. Secondly, as hair loss is a common phenomenon, you should not let it go. Try some hair products to get rid of postpartum hair loss. I used them during the hair loss period, which relieved my anxiety! dyson - Supersonic Hair Dryer Many people think that natural drying is good for hair. In fact, it is a disaster for the scalp. If the scalp is kept in a wet state for a long time, it is easy to breed bacteria. Dyson hair dryer can not only adjust the heat, but also blow dry hair quickly. MELBANG. - Melbang Paddle Brush This is a niche brand. I was first recommended by my friend . After using it, I just want to say: OMG! Why didn't I meet it earlier🙀You must try this brush! For example, using a normal comb will cause hair shedding, and using this one will only drop one hair at a time, because it will not pull the hair at all, but will only comb it smoothly. In addition, the teeth of the comb are round-headed steel needles, which can ease anxiety in one second. I compared the TT comb I used before. The teeth of the TT comb are relatively sharp and short. This Melbang comb is now my favorite hair care tool. L'OCCITANE - Aromachologie Intensive Repair Shampoo I have been using this shampoo since I was pregnant. Its botanical ingredients are gentle and do not hurt the hair, and the smell is also pleasant and fruity. Here is a key recommendation for a new way of shampooing. Use conditioner first and then shampoo. You will find that hair loss will be much less every time you wash your hair.😎 Finally, you must have a good mood, get enough sleep, eat less greasy food, and pay attention to wash hair. Hope this is helpful!
Dyson hair dryer makes volume hair---away from looking greasy!
My hair strand is fine, which makes my hair easily looks greasy. It troubles me for years. I have changed shampoo several times or even use some treatment on my scalp, but none of those methods really help. In my experience, if your hair gets greasy easily, the only way to make it less greasy is to make it volumed. That’s why I am recommending dyson - Supersonic Hair Dryer I got it as my birthday present, I love it so much! The trick to blow a heavy hair with a hair dryer has four points, one is the high airflow, the second is to blower your hair to the inverse direction of your strand, the third is to dry your hair immediately after you take a shower. The last one is to change the mode from heat to cold when you are about finish drying. Dyson hair dryer’s airflow reaches 105mph, it can make your hair get dried quickly. If you wanna make a fluffy hair you have to choose the ones create high airflow because wet hair increases the weight of your end of hair and it drags down the hair on top. That’s also the reason why you have to dry it at once after you take a shower. Dyson hair dryer have different mode to change, from heat to cold or from high to low airflow. It’s really convenient to control on hand. You need hot wind to dry your hair for 8 minutes (if you have long hair, 5 minutes for shoulder-length hair). Then change the mode to cold, because cold wind can keep your just-made fluffy hair longer. That’s why your hairdresser change the mode to dry your hair while you are in salon! I love this product so much! It’s also a good choice for a present. The price is $549, it’s with good quality and you can use it for years!

Amika New York Minute Blow Dryer Brush Set
➤ ⠀ 𝑰𝑵 𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑺 𝑺𝑯𝑶𝑻: 💝 @amika Hair Blow Dryer Brush It is a 2-in-1 tool combining a round brush and a blow dryer to easily create a smooth and shiny blowout, no skill required! 〰️ The tool itself features 3 speed settings, including a cool shot! 〰️ It is lightweight and detangles as you brush through while providing lift at the roots for more volume. We all know I have a ton of hair, so this was a welcome addition to my hair styling collection. My biggest tip would be to work in small sections and use some amount of tension to create a smooth blowout 🥰 💝 @amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo This is my second time trying a dry shampoo ever. Perk Up smells incredible and it refreshes hair with rice starch to absorb all the excess oils for more volume. It does not leave a white cast! I loved that it doesn’t feel like you have product in your hair, and it kept my hair feeling soft and silky afterwards. 💝 @amika The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray is used on damp or dry hair before heat styling. No bad hair days
The Hair Blow Dryer Brush is my newest obsession ($100 PR) I used to dread blow drying my hair because holding a brush in one hand and the hair dryer in the other was not the most pleasant experience. Now, with the 2-in-1, I actually look forward to styling it; albeit, I still only style my hair (maybe) a few times a month. This tool is very lightweight and super easy to use! I first dry my hair with my hair turban from @aquishair until it’s slightly damp and then prep with the velveteen dream smoothing balm and the shield anti-humidity spray. I love the smooth look I achieve and that it’s rather low maintenance. Use code: GLOWYVIRGO for 10% off @amika (affiliate code).

CREATE LOOSE CURLS
The Babyliss 1 inch curling iron is the best styling tool I have ever used! I personally think the curls hold way longer when using it compared to a wand or straightener curl. I think 1 inch is the perfect size to create a loose but still defined curl, and it usually loosens up to a wave after a couple hours. My hair stylist recommended this curling iron to me after years of trying to achieve the perfect curls with my straightener, and never being quite satisfied. I’ve been using it consistently for 2 years now, and it’s still my favorite styling tool. I also love the price point at $60, and you can find it at a variety of stores online or check Ulta! I always use a heat protectant before, and finish with a light spray of hair spray to hold the curl even longer. My hair is on the thicker side, and has a bit of natural wave/frizz, and this has been the perfect curling iron for my hair type! #cheriecreator
Check out this STUNNING before and after of one of my best friends. She told me “Make my hair as light as possible” so I did exactly what she said. With her hair being as dark as it was, this was a HUUUGE deal. And a long process....but so worth it!!! I mean... LOOK AT IT😍 All I can say is foils foils foils. She looked like she was trying to contact some aliens with the amount of foils that were in her hair...I’m serious. I made it super blended around the hairline by foiling all around the face. This really helped lighten up the pieces around the hairline to make her feel extra blonde. Love the curls? I used a flat iron first, to smooth out any frizzy hair. Then I used a BaByliss PRO - Nano Titanium Spring Curling Iron size 1 and 1/4 inch, curling all pieces away from the face. Yes you’re gonna look like Shirley temple for a minute😂 I’d suggest spraying in a texture spray with hold such as KEVIN.MURPHY - Bedroom.Hair or a touchable hairspray such as amika: - Touchable Hairspray to really hold in those curls, then comb them out with a wide tooth comb! You’ll have the perfect curls all day!

Easy Waves, Without the Frizz!
#CheriePartner My thick yet fine hair naturally straddles the 2A/2B line, depending on a variety of factors: humidity level, days since last shampoo, products used, etc. But I love using the amika: - High Tide Deep Waver to make defined waves that have a bit of a retro feel, without the frizz from letting my hair naturally wave via air drying! I typically only heat-style on special occasions or when extending time between washes- here’s my no-wash day wave routine! 1. Separate: I separate my hair into three sections with a wide-tooth comb: crown, middle, nape. Crown is pulled into a small ponytail, then middle joins it using a clip. 2. Protect: Apply *amika: - The Wizard Detangling Primer liberally to the current layer- I run my fingers through the layer to help it soak in, letting hair dry fully. 3. Style:Starting at the roots, I take a section of hair from the current layer and clamp it between the paddles of the styler. I hold for a full 5 seconds before releasing it, moving down that section of hair vertically. Repeat throughout the current layer, moving along vertically. 4. Re-Section: I’m kind of Type A about things so I tie up the current layer of separated hair before letting down the next layer. Repeat Steps 2-4 Until All Hair Has Been Waved 5. Focused Protection: Before my hair fully cools, I rub a pump of *amika: - Blockade Heat Protectant Serum between the tips of my fingers and focus on moisturizing/protecting the ends of my hair. I’ve noticed this helps my hair look more polished and extend the life of the hairstyle as far as frizz is concerned! 6. Smooth: Once my hair has cooled and the serum has soaked in, I finish everything off with a few sprays of amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner and a thorough fluffing with my hands! I love how shiny and soft my hair still is once it’s been waved, after utilizing so many protective products 💕 * PR Sample
Let’s talk hair
There are four hair tools this girl can’t live without! In all my years I’ve seen styles come and go (my mom is a retired stylist/salon owner) and these (to me) are classics - Blow dryer, obvs - invest in a good one, save not only time but also less damage to your hair . Flat Iron - I have straight hair but I still need to run my hair ‘quickly’ through when I want that sleek, smooth look - or to do a flat iron curl . Curling Iron - I absolutely swear by my BaByliss PRO - Nano Titanium Spring Curling Iron I’ve had it for going on eight years and it’s never let me down. It’s a 1” and the perfect size for my messy beach curls. My salon uses this and 1.5” Ulta has a 20% code right now on one item . amika: - High Tide Deep Waver - back in the 80’s my mom got her first crimper, cause ya know, it was all the rage, and I can still remember the first time she styled my hair with it...Quadna ski trip! But I continued to style my hair through the years even when it wasn’t popular cause I loved the look. And it’s back again! So I had to pick up the new Amika styler. Whatever ancient one I had was so bad for my hair 🙈 This is a classic y’all! Get yourselves one and you’ll never be out of style...with me ☺️ . So let’s now dive into a few ‘must have’ hair products. If you are using styling tools you absolutely must have some of these. Just like skincare products, you have to protect your hair as you would your face. . MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment I have very dry hair and this has been very helpful. A classic in the beauty community Color Wow Style on Steroids & One Minute Transformation The Ouai Heat Protection Spray & other products ORIBE - Balm D'or ORIBE - Thick Dry Finishing Spray (I’m a huge fan of Oribe- the products smell amazing) Milbon USA Thickening spray - oh so good. And it’s like perfume for your hair . These are just some of my favorites, not all are pictured. I have a lot of products that are for heat protection as well as volume (I don’t use hairspray). I’m on the hunt for a new s/c as I’ve been using Living Proof and my hair seems to be rebelling. Although a certain someone said the formula did change 😉 . Do you use protection products on your hair with styling tools? If so, which ones?

The secret to long, healthy hair!✨💜
YES, that’s my hair! And I’m going to share with you some tips on how I got my hair to look like this! PSA: I’m not a hairdresser ❤️ Your shampoo DOES MATTER- stop using drug store shampoo/conditioner that’s just making your hair dried out and greasy. Some great and still affordable brands are PAUL MITCHELL - Clarifying Shampoo Two BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Shampoo MATRIX - Ultra Hydrasource Shampoo (I’m currently using the Paul Mitchell shampoo/conditioner) Tip: going to stores like marshals or TJ max can help save money on these products. ❤️ Cut the heat 🚫🔥 heat can damage your hair! And if you have to use heat styling tools PLEASE use a heat protectant spray. ❤️ Wash your hair only 2-3 times a week, you don’t want to strip your hair of its natural oils!! ❤️ Use hair oil or hair serum EVERY👏🏼SINGLE👏🏼DAY! You don’t need much, maybe a little more then a pea size just enough to hydrate your hair and give it some shine🌟 I like BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original ogx - Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Extra Penetrating Hair Oil I’ve also noticed while using these products my hair has less knots and frizz ❤️ Don’t underestimate the power of a silk pillow case. At night you move around and your hair can get snagged and break with a cotton pillowcase, the silk allows your hair to slide off and is better for your skin too ❤️ OLIVE OIL is your new best friend you never knew you had. I soak my hair in olive oil once a month and it really helps with growth. (I made a separate post on this if you want to know more!) ❤️ Most important⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT color your hair with box dye!!! Ahhh this is so so bad for your hair. If you need a change please go see a hair stylist to talk about what’s best for YOUR hair needs, your hair will thank you! ❤️ Don’t forger to trim the dead ends. I know it sounds so simple and everyone knows this buts it’s so important for the health of your hair and makes your hair look healthier and helps your hair grow faster! ❤️ Don’t forget about hair masks!! There’s so many different brands and options for every hair type. One of my favorites Is the brand HASK. HASK - Keratin Protein Smoothing Deep Conditioner Packette the packs are so big that I can use half and get 2 uses out of it ❤️ What brush are you using?? I only use the Wet brush - Original Detangler because the bristles are so flexible they don’t rip my hair out while I’m brushing while detangling my hair with no problem and can be used on dry hair too not just wet!! I hope this helped! If you have any other good hair tips leave them in the comments below!
Frizz Be Gone! ✨
So earlier I posted about my frizzy hair situation and decided to do an at home keratin treatment. There are tons to choose from and I wasn’t sure what to do. So this is what I did and I am LOVING my hair! It’s so soft and smooth and wayyy less frizzy after just one application! L'ANZA - Keratin Healing Oil Intensive Hair Masque So I wasn’t sure about using this product because I was nervous it wasn’t going to work as well as the heat treatments but it was more natural and so I decided to give it a shot. Best decision ever! Everyone always complains about the smell of at home keratin treatments and that it burns your eyes but this masque smells soooooo good! Like applying it and afterward, my hair smells amazing, even my boyfriend was like “I can get used to this.” It was so easy to apply, I just washed my hair with shampoo, Towel dried my hair, Brushed my hair with Wet brush - Original Detangler , applied the mask all over, waited 20 minutes, combed through the excess, and rinsed my hair thoroughly. Once that was over I brushed my hair again, and blew it dry with the blow dryer. I also used JOHN FRIEDA - Frizz Ease Original 6 Effects Serum 1 pump before and after I used the blow dryer on low heat. This was the outcome after one treatment. I can’t wait to see what happens when I finish the bottle! Love to all 😊💕
I love my products 🤩
I use these products daily to help keep my skin healthy, hydrated, and protected. The hair straightener is AMAZING for curls too, so I am happy to have a hair tool that I can use in more than one way.

My Favorite Hair Accessory 🐆
I have thin straight hair that is bleached blonde and my favorite hair accessory is definitely the sprunchies by Invisibobble. There are a bunch of products by them but the leopard print, black and light pink sprunchies are my favorite. They have a harder elastic in the middle of them, a coily pony tail made out of some sort of plastic like their original ones, and they’re so soft! These hold hair really well while giving the perk of soft fabric on the outside. I first found these at Sephora and they’re $8 and just meant to be a secure hair tie with extra cuteness. These really take a plain ponytail or bun to the next level and it makes me feel cute when wearing one, especially the leopard one. The best part? You don’t have to do anything different than normal to use them! You can just make a regular bun or ponytail by tipping over your head, gathering up your hair and pulling it over, twisting it and repeating until you run out. I generally do two twists but could do three if I wanted to with my hair. These can also be found at Ulta, Target and Beauty Expert. invisibobble - Sprunchie Scrunchie #CheriePartner
Must Have Hair Accessories🎀
Okay so I’ll just say it now, I’m obsessed with scrunchies. I love to use them in my hair, wear them on my wrist, use them as photo props...the list goes on. My hair type is fine, straight, and long. I often have my best luck on hair that is at least 2 days post wash, often the dirtier the better🤪 Some of my favourite scrunchies are the invisibobble - Sprunchie Scrunchie they are so cute and because there is a “coily pony tail” inside the scrunchie, they hold my fine hair super well. They retail for about $10 each Canadian which I think is reasonable. I personally wear a scrunchie in my hair probably 4/7 days a week. I love that they hold my hair, look adorable, and don’t leave a big ugly crease in my hair after wear. I honestly rarely use any other form of pony tail holders anymore and rely solely on my scrunchie collection (it’s large). One of my favourite scrunchie styles is the top knot (pictured in the second photo) or the half-up too knot (pictured third). To achieve these looks, I simply pull all or half my hair up and back using my hands (I like it to be a bit messy) and then wrap it around itself. If I do all of my hair I’ll secure it with a coiled pony tail holder before adding the scrunchie; when I do half my hair I just use the scrunchie. Have you hopped on the scrunchie trend? What are some other hair accessories you’re loving right now? #CheriePartner
Honey, I’m home! 🐝 Farmacy Hydration Mask
I love trying masks and this one is my absolute favorite! I got a sample and then my friend surprised me with the full size on my birthday!💕 This mask is thicc and warms up as you massage it on to your face. It starts off golden like honey and then turns white as you’re rubbing it into your skin. My skin is dry and this makes my skin feel supple and smooth. Sometimes I apply this mask before getting in the shower and rinsing it off after my shower. Sometimes I’ll apply the mask, do some house work or edit some photos before rinsing it off. It’s not a mask that feels tight or drying by any means. Sometimes I forget I have it on until I pass a mirror.😅 My skin feels moisturized as if I’ve done my skin routine for the day or night. The first time I did the mask, I kept touching my face because I seriously could not believe how soft and moisturized my skin felt. What’s in it??? Propolis and Royal Jelly B vitamins Glycerin Just to name a few things! The 4.1 size which is what I have is $56 The 1.7 size is $38 To me it’s definitely worth it and a little goes a long way! 10/10 tell a friend :D🐝

Definitely worth the money. 10/10 recommend
dyson - Airwrap Styler I absolutely love love love this system. I have little to no coordination when it comes to styling my hair. This system has made curling my hair sooooo much easier. I would recommend this product to people like me. I have a genetic disorder that makes every joint in my body dislocate multiple times a day so the less time i can spend on my hair there better. It is light weight and balanced. With a normal hair dryer I would spend about 20-30 minutes on my hair. With my Dyson I spend about 5 minutes. If I'm curling my hair with an iron I would spend 1-1.5 hours and have multiple burns. With the Dyson it takes me 30 minutes if my hair is dripping wet. It took a while to get used to the length of the base butt once you are used to it, you don't notice it as much. I am also able to dry my 3 year old step daughter's hair in under 5 minutes. It is much quieter than a normal dryer which means I can do my hair without waking up anyone in my house so that is also a major win in my book.
Is The Dyson AirWrap Worth It? (It’s not!)
dyson - Airwrap Styler First things first, I got lucky and had Dyson credit & a discount which is the literal only reason I have this magical tool in my possession bc it is horrendously expensive & if you don’t wanna read this whole review (I talk too much, i get it) then simply put, it is absolutely NOT worth the investment. 📍My hair: very fine & dry, color treated, kinda sad overall 🤷🏼♀️ 📍Dolllas: Smooth & Control System $499 (what I have), entire system with all attachments $549 ❌Reccomend: Simply put, big fat NOPEEE (for not so simply put, see below) Now, if you find a sale or have all the time in the world to master the tool then I def say go for it because it’s amazing that you can do everything with one tool + all its fancy attachments. I think the best way to do this would be to break it down to attachment & talk about them inidicidually? So here goes: ✅Blow drying: This thing is MAGIC. I already have fine hair that dries fast but this baby has my hair going from wet to dry in like 7 minutes. AMAZING ok and hot without like being so hot you wanna die? ✅Firm smoothing brush: This is hard to get used to bc the base of the tool is so big but once you get a hang of it again, AMAZING. I was blown away that I could get a salon looking blowout legit sitting on my butt at my house. 1 or 2 YouTube tutorials and you’ll be a pro. ❌Coanda effect curlers - Now don’t get my wrong this whole curl-with-air thing is dope and feels like sorcery but they’re my least favorite attachment. I only use them like every once in a while if I have time because it takes FOREVER. Again I have thin hair and find that I have to told each section on the air for 10ish seconds then a couple more with the cold shot and it takes so long I wanna die by the time my hair is ready. Plus I have thin hair so if your hair is thick RIP bc idk how you’ll make it. If you’re dedicated though and not as lazy as me, you might love this bc the results are INSANE (see photo) like bombshell VS photo shoot amazing. And my hair holds curl really well as I’m naturally wavy but I’ve heard of people’s curls falling out in just a few short hours - so this I’m assuming is YMMV. Again as a general wrap up, it’s really not worth it. Save your money by buying a Dyson dryer on its own or drying brush (like revlon or Drybar) individually. #CherieCreator #Dyson
Dry shampoo: prevent dandruff/dry scalp! ✨
drybar - Double Dose of Detox Dry Shampoo A sample I got and keep handy on me I usually buy the ouai dry shampoo but hate carrying my full size so I have this sample trial size in my purse or car I normally stay away from dry shampoo But for days I straightened my hair and want to keep the look another day I spritz a little and comb out with my purse comb TANGLE TEEZER - Compact Styler Hairbrush Is a great hygienic comb you can keep on hand or in your car I only comb my hair right after the shower or when I straighten it since my hair is on the frizzy side You must brush the dry shampoo through the hair or you will cause build up by the scalp Which can then lead to dandruff ,the true reason I stay away from dry shampoo I refuse to have a dry scalp now this does not mean don’t use dry shampoo just make sure to brush it out and not just with your fingers

Hair masks that work
I actually got into Soulfood years ago when my hairdresser actually gave me a sample after my (somewhat) regular hair appointment (I go once a year 🙃). I tried it on and immediately after the first use I fell in love, and so not long afterwards, I purchased it myself ☺️ and even though I use it quite infrequently (I’m way better with skin maintenance than hair maintenance) I’m still in love with it and it will probably be the only hair mask I ever buy again!

Favorite Hair accessories #CheriePartner
Hey y’all! I’m back but this time I wanna talk Hair Accessories! I love them! I have thick Curly/Coily 4B/C hair and I love it! If you’ve been following me for a while you know that I am a lover of head-wraps. They’re cute, quick and easy especially for bad hair days. I also love headbands of any sort. I tend to wear my hair up a lot and now that the Fall and Winter seasons are upon us my hair will be in a lot of protective styles and/or Head wraps and Headbands. Head wraps I get from everywhere but my fav place is Wrap life! They have such a versatile collection of materials and designs. I stick with Solid colors a lot but sometimes I will step out of the box and go for a pattern or different texture. Currently my fave are the ribbed wraps from Wrap life. They’re stretchy and grip well. Wraps can range anywhere from $5-$30 depending on where you get them from. The great thing about wraps is you can use any sort of scarf or material to create a Head wrap. You might even have something in your closet right now! Secondly Headbands! I love love love headbands especially when I’m wearing a bun or a ponytail. It just adds a little bit of flair to my outfit. I usually get my headbands from places like Forever 21,Urban Outfitters and H&M. My favorite ones are the velvet because they look cute for Fall and the material makes sure they don’t slide around. The prices range anywhere between $5-$10 on average. My hair accessories are definitely something I love. And for Head wraps specifically they hold a very close cultural connection for me. Being that I’m Nigerian Head wraps are a normal thing in our culture. They can be elaborate or simple and worn for special events like weddings. I wear a version of these head wraps everyday and I love it! What are some of your favorite Hair Accessories? BESOS 😘

👍Game-changing drugstore hair care routine for oily hair!
This hair care routine powerfully help me fix my oily hair! All the products I use are super affordable, and you can simply find them from the drugstore! Step one: Shampoo Aveeno - Apple Cider Shampoo It's important to avoid frequent washing as that can stimulate more oil production of your scalp! I normally just wash my hair with Aveeno Scalp Soothing Apple Cider Vinegar Blend Shampoo 2-3 times a week. This one is formulated with scalp-soothing oatmeal colloidal extract and apple cider vinegar, gently cleansing and removing excess oil from my hair. Moreover, this drugstore shampoo is free of sulfates, parabens, and dyes. Safe for all hair types, especially oily hair! Step two: Conditioner L'ORÉAL - Elvive Extraordinary Clay Rebalancing Conditioner L'Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Conditioner is my favorite. It has ultra purifying qualities that wash off all the excess oil from the scalp and remove pollution particles and impurities from the hair. Its key ingredient, clay, greatly helps detangle the hair and give my hair a deep cleaning. Step three: Hair towel AQUIS - Waffle Luxe Long Hair Towel I'd like to use a hair towel to dry my hair after a shower. I prefer to avoid using a blow dryer as the heat can irritate my scalp, leading to extra oil production. I always use a hair towel to dry my hair Waffle Luxe Long Hair Towel as it has a good texture and helps dry my hair quickly. Step four: Hairstyling product & Dry shampoo Dove - Style + Care Curls Defining Mousse Dove - Volume and Fullness Dry Shampoo Before applying some hair styling products, I normally smooth my hair first with a wooden comb, which does a good job to massage your hair and balance the oil production process of your scalp. After that, I'd apply a hair volumizing spray or a dry shampoo to my hair to prevent shine. Highly recommend Dove Mousse Volume Amplifier and Dove Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo, these two are under $10 but work fantastic for my oily hair! With these two babies, my hair keeps clean and fresh even after a whole day out!
