AMIKA PERK UP DRY SHAMPOO REVIEW
Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo Review an unexpected haircare fav i discovered in 2020 was this dry shampoo from @amika! because ya girl has the typical fine hair + oily roots, dry shampoo is a pretty big staple for me. i was able to try out a mini size of this in a @sephora hair care set & loved it! this dry shampoo contains Sea Buckthorn Berry like many other Amika products which is meant to protect and nourish the hair. i found that this dry shampoo did a good job at absorbing excess oil without weighing my hair down. at first application, it does spray white but when brushed out, it doesn't seem to leave a white cast on my dark hair. i enjoy the bit of volume it adds to my hair and it also happens to smell *really freaking good!!* using this, i'm able to extend my hair washing days to about 4 or 5 days. i know this is a little more pricey compared to drugstore dry shampoos but def a good option if u don't mind treating yourself a little! for $25 you get 5.3 oz which definitely lasts awhile. i noticed there usually are some good black friday deals on this product and i managed to get 4 of these for $32 on @birchbox so i'm literally set on dry shampoo for all of 2021 HAHA i feel like i do be neglecting my hair sometimes so i think this year, i'll be paying a little more attention to my haircare. i'm keen to try more from amika so if u have any amika must haves, pls let me know in the comments!!

#Amikagiftedme their Blonde in the Big Apple Wash + Care Set 🥰 This set contains: - 1 Bust your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo - 1 Bust your Brass Cool Blonde Conditioner - 1 Supernova Blonde Violet Moisture and Shine Cream It retails for $50 (regular retail value of $73). I absolutely love these products! My hair has become quite dry and frizzy since I bleach my hair quite often to maintain my blonde color! This is normally because it is hard to find the right purple shampoo/conditioner to keep my hair from getting brassy or yellow! I honestly think I found my new fav hair products for blonde hair🤩 My favorite has to me the moisture and shine cream though, it’s very hydrating but lightweight which works great for my natural wavy hair! 10/10. #amikagiftedme @amika @sephora @octoly #amika #trendingatsephora #octolyfamily amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo amika: - Blonde Bombshell Bust Your Brass Set amika: - Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Conditioner amika: - Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo amika: - Supernova Blonde Moisture And Shine Cream amika: - The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray amika: - Money Makers Set Perk Up Dry Shampoo, Fluxus Touchable Hair Spray, + the Shield Anti-Humidity Spray

😱Save my oily hair in one minute!
Once I used this Living proof. - Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo, immediately I realized that my day two hair was styling better than my day one hair, even after going to the gym. It absorbs all the excess oils without being clumpy or gummy. No powder residue. It has an incredible fresh scent, don't tell anyone but I have been spraying my hair the first day of styling to get the oil absorption and fresh scent. I now keep a bottle at home and one in my gym bag. No more hair emergencies for me. Will keep purchasing because it works, really well. I have extremely fine, oily hair. I try to only wash my hair every other day and would like to go longer than that, but my hair becomes so greasy I can't hide it in a messy bun any longer. Every dry shampoo I've tried has made my hair feel stiff and somehow even more dirty. They made my hair smell nice but besides that they didn't do anything. This dry shampoo, though, has changed the game for me. You spray in in, wait about 30 seconds, then brush it through your hair with either a brush or your fingers. My hair feels almost like it does after a fresh wash. It seems to clean my hair rather than cover up the gross parts. It gives great volume, and smells amazing. I even woke up the morning after the day I used it, and my hair still didn't seem oily!! I'm incredibly impressed! I'm going to be buying this for years to come! I received it free from Influenster to test it out, but it'll be worth every penny I pay for it from now on!I was always skeptical of dry shampoo as I'm a natural brunette and didn't want it to show. LivingProof PHD dry shampoo alleviated mt skepticism. My hair feels and smells cleaner after apication. It has been a part of my standard hair care products for over a year and I've never had visible residue.

Quick finish for your oily hair!
Never thought That one day I would run out of a bottle of dry spray! After all, I am the person that washes a hair everyday, calculate one day did not give oil, I do not need shampoo to also can use water to rinse hair, because I like the feeling of hair clear and refreshing, once have a bit massiness, oily feeling, I want to wash a hair, get rid of this kind of oily feeling.   I've tried a few dry sprays over the years. The first one I used was Batiste's dry sprays, and I didn't think they worked very well. One was because they were smelly, smelly and cheap. And if you spray it close enough, your hair will have a distinct white powder, which looks awkward, so after a few USES it will sit idle, looking for new products.   Later, when Sephora was on sale, I saw a blogger recommend thisLiving proof. - Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoofor the right price, so I got it. When I first started using it, probably with Batiste's comparison, I thought it was so good that it saved my oily hair! First of all, its taste is very advanced and fresh, never too heavy, I like the taste very much, after spraying it, the perfume can not be sprayed. Spray close to your hair without leaving embarrassing foams.   I often rush out of the house in the morning to make my hair look more fluffy, but I don't have time to wash or blow my hair, so I spray this dry hair spray, wait for 30 seconds, and then rub and shake my hair to get a natural fluffy look. In summer, as long as the occasion is not a lot of sweat, basically can maintain 5-8 hours fluffy feeling, if you want to fill, is also very convenient. Recommend to friends who have the same needs as me!

Battle of the powder dry shampoo’s!
I have extremely oily hair and the Bumble and Bumble Prêt-à-powder has been my holy grail for SO long. I’ve been through more bottles than I can count. I love it because it lasts way longer than spray, absorbs oil and gives my hair amazing texture. Now enter the new Briogeo Charcoal + Biotin Shampoo, a similar product so I had to test it out and compare the two! They’re both great at absorbing oil. I would say the white cast on the Briogeo is a TINY bit worse but it absorbs after some time. The Briogeo smells better and has a better sprayer, the B&B has no scent and you just have to sort of dump it on through the sifter. But I will say that the B&B gives way better texture to my hair. I get SO much volume with it I still love it, it also lasts days after using it. The Briogeo doesn’t give nearly as much texture and my scalp feels really powdery after using it. Overall I love both and will use them both up, but I think the Bumble is still my holy grail! ✨ Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo Bumble and bumble. - Pret-A-Powder

Sephora Best & “Meh”: Hair Products
About my hair: very thick, wavy/curly, & prone to dryness & frizziness Fave: IGK - Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray This is a recent addition to my collection and came in an Influenster box. It claims to detangle, fight frizz, prevent heat damage, & add shine. spray on damp hair post-wash, comb through, and wrap my hair for about 30 min in a cotton t-shirt. This stuff gives me the sleekest + shiniest blowout with NO additional products. I’ve never had one product do that. Most other blow dry sprays require me to also use a smoothing cream. I have used this as a leave-in for air drying or diffusing & it leaves my hair soft. Has a sweet “salon”-type scent, all hair types can use. This will be a repurchase. $27 Meh: Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo This contains tapioca, charcoal, rice powder, witch hazel, & biotin. It’s a powder that is dispensed by turning the nozzle & gently squeezing the bottle. Cool concept because it’s more easily recyclable. While this does soak up excess oils & makes my hair look cleaner on day 3/4/5, I don’t like how heavy it feels and my hair feels...gross. Light rose/perfume scent, all hair types can use. Gifted by brand - wouldn’t repurchase. $24 Fave: Bumble and bumble. - Bb. Curl Reactivator This spray is designed to restore moisture definition for curly/wavy hair the next day & beyond. It contains avocado, jojoba, & coconut oils, and shea & cocoa butters. I’ve played around with this a few times (including dry hair), and found it works best for me when I dampen my hair about 15-20% with water, then spray liberally and scrunch lightly. It does add some moisture and revives my wave/curl pattern. It does leave me a bit frizzy, though. Has a “salon”-type scent. Will repurchase on sale. $28 Meh: OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector This is a bond-restoring treatment to strengthen & improve hair appearance. I’ve only tried this once, but based on others’ reviews I expected to be blown away at 1st use. I applied the cream to damp, towel-dried, unwashed hair & waited about 12 min. My hair didn’t feel or look any different post-wash. Maybe my bar was set too high? Also, I would fly through this product because a full size is only 3.3oz. So far I’m not wowed but will try this again. Mine was a Sephora freebie & I will have to cut the tube open to get 2 uses. Light perfume scent, all hair types can use. $28 All brands are cruelty-free & products are safe for color-treated hair. Briogeo & Olaplex are part of the “clean at Sephora” program since they are sulfate and paraben-free. The Sephora VIB/holiday sale is coming up soon (I think 10/30?), so this would be a great time to try something new or restock on faves. #CheriePartner

little changes to improve you hair health
Happy New Year 2021! 2020 was a wild rollercoaster and I think many of us will say that we are happy it is over! Something I’ve recently been getting very into is hair health. I have always had very thick hair and a lot of it too. It wasn’t until it started getting unnecessarily tangly, that I decided to give my hair a little more attention. For reference, I do not color my hair regularly- I have gotten highlights twice in my life. Here are some little changes you can make to give your hair the extra love it deserves. 1. Wash your hair less! I wash my hair twice a week now (in comparison to nearly every day when I was a swimmer). It will take your hair a little bit of adjusting, so the extra oil production will go down within a few weeks. Fewer washes also saves you time. If you need a little bit of a pick-up, try some dry shampoo instead. Batiste - Blush Dry Shampoo Floral & Flirty 2. If you must use heat on your hair (blowdryer, flat iron, curling iron), then make sure to use a heat protectant beforehand! This will help prevent more breakage and damage you get as a result of heat tools. MOROCCANOIL - Perfect Defense Heat Protectant 3. Try to avoid wearing tight hairstyles daily and sleeping with your hair in, for example, a pony tail. Tight hairstyles cause hair to break more easily! 4. Use a wet brush (or wide-toothed comb) in the shower. I gently comb through my hair when I have my conditioner in. Wet brush - Wet Original Brush 5. Nourish your hair when you’re out of the shower. Using hair masks or oils post-shower help add moisture to your hair and in turn prevent breakage. I use a pump of argan oil on my wet hair and it does wonders for me. Other oils that can be used are coconut, castor, and even olive. MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment 6. Dry your hair with a microfiber towel or an old t-shirt. Why? Regular towels have rough surfaces. The friction caused by drying can promote frizz and lead to more breakage. TURBIE TWIST - Microfiber Hair Towel 7. Try sulfate-free shampoo. Sulfates are safe and clean effectively. And I recommend them for anyone with very greasy hair that washes often because it simply gets the job done. However, if you have dyed, course, damaged, and/or frizz-prone hair, I recommend trying a sulfate-free shampoo. Sulfate-free shampoo is milder than those with sulfates. They are also less drying than sulfate shampoos (sulfates are so good at cleaning, they wash out all the oils that would be good for our scalp). LOVE beauty AND planet - Love Beauty & Planet Indian Lilac and Clove Leaf Positively Shine Sulfate Free Shampoo 8. Try some vitamins that promote hair growth. Anything with collagen, biotin, or omega-3 (found in fish oil) are said to be great promoters of hair growth and generally stronger hair. Of course if you choose not to take supplements, you may always find food sources to receive them from. OLLY - Undeniable Beauty Multivitamin Gummies Grapefruit Glam 9. Brush your hair before going to bed. It helps distribute your hair’s oils that have gathered at your scalp. It also helps stimulate your scalp. I personally sleep in a loose braid as well. There you have a few easy tips! I started making some of these changes about a month ago and I can honestly say that I see a difference. Let me know if you have any more tips or if any of these have helped you! Stay safe and healthy. -------------------------------------------- Thank you for giving my post a read! I am excited to share my thoughts on topics I am passionate about. :) LG, Louisa

The Best Kept Secret For Thin Hair
The problem with thin hair is that it can be just so difficult to style. Because it is thin, there often isn’t very much to work with - despite never ending backcombing to give it both body and texture. What makes it worse is the fact that thin hair often becomes lank hair due to how greasy it gets. My thin hair gets greasy even though I wash it every day or every other day.   I had always believed that one of the best things you can do for thin hair is to wash and condition it with a good quality shampoo that doesn’t strip hair of its necessary oils with harsh chemicals. Instead, a gentle shampoo and conditioner is the way forward. However, I’ve recently been told of a fantastic hack for thin hair that has really slowed down the speed with which my hair gets greasy as well as giving it that much needed volume.   I was told to try out a dry shampoo and spray that into my roots. Dry shampoo is no new thing, but I was told to spray it into my roots at night time - not in the morning when I get ready for my day. The results have been fantastic and it has meant I can go longer between actual washes and my hair is consequently a lot less greasy and actually has oomph at the roots.   The dry shampoo that I’ve been using is Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo. The largest can, at 400ml lasts for a very long time and will cost around £5. It’s a great product for an impressively low price. There are other fragrances that you can try too if the Blush smell isn’t for you. Plus, the range has also brought out dry shampoos that are better for darker hair as the spray is not as icy white as the regular range.    I’ve also used Wella Professionals Dry Me. It’s an ok product. The packaging is a lot sleeker so looks better on my dressing table, but actually in terms of efficacy of making my hair have more volume, I far prefer Batiste. Plus the price difference cannot be debated either. Wella’s Dry Me is far more expensive and no way near as good. It’s around £10 for a 180ml bottle.   Finally, if you worry about drying out your hair this way, don’t be. I was a little nervous about how parched my hair could become when using this as I would not be using conditioner quite so much, but I’ve found that my ends are just as healthy as they were before.

The Ouai for Curly Hair
I've been testing out a few Ouai products they sent me a while ago for my curls to see how they do. So far I'm liking the Leave-in Conditioner for refreshing my hair and the Finishing Creme for styling! They smell AMAZING! I'm not a big dry shampoo girl since my scalp is dry rather then oily, so curly girls tell me how you use dry shampoo for your hair. Have you guys tried Ouai products before? What are your faves? I think I want to they their new treatments masks next. Products: * OUAI - Finishing Creme * OUAI - Super Dry Shampoo * OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner *OUAI - Rose Hair & Body Oil * OUAI - OUAI Hair Oil

Dry shampoo battle... who wins?
These are the 2 dry shampoos I have in my collection. I reach for one way more than the other so I just want to go over both of them! OUAI - Super Dry Shampoo This dry shampoo has the typical ouai scent which I do like. It’s an aerosol can like most dry shampoos tend to be. When I spray this, it does give my dark hair chalky roots. Usually I can get it to fade by rubbing it in a little bit. It does an okay job absorbing oil. It works on 2-3 day hair but beyond that it’s useless. I care more about my hair looking good than smelling good so I don’t totally love it. Plus it was pretty pricey overall. It says 4.5oz but it does not seem like that much. I don’t use this often and it’s running very low. Overall I would not purchase again. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo I actually love this dry shampoo. It’s non aerosol so it’s better for the environment and less harsh on your hair too. You shake the bottle and squeeze it onto your hair. Application can be a bit uneven but the powder is super light so you can fluff it around to cover everywhere. It leaves a big white cast but when you fluff it out, is goes away and leaves your hair looking voluminous. It absorbs oil so well and makes my 5-6 day hair look fresh and clean! The scent is light and fresh too. This is only 1.7 oz but it seems to be lasting forever and I use it multiple times a week tbh! I will probably purchase this again because it works so well for me

Hair Revival
As a redhead, I’ve always taken great pride in my hair. However, it wasn’t till quarantine that I actually started taking care of it. I have 2B hair that is prone to frizz, I used to use drug store brands and would wash my hair daily due to my vigorous workout routine. I started washing it every other day, and while that helped, it wasn’t until I found new products and a new routine that I can actually say I’m happy with my hair. Here is my entire routine! Wash day: Shampoo and condition: Redken All Soft - it is hard to go wrong with this shampoo and conditioner, good for all hair types Post shower: I start by combing through a pump of jojoba oil thru the bottoms 3/4 of my hair with my fingers then I use IGK - Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray (my miracle product, ideal for blow outs, but still helpful when air drying) next IGK - Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Anti-Frizz Leave-in Conditioner (a must leave in conditioner for my curly friends) and then I finish with VERB - Ghost Oil on my ends Once a week instead I use: IGK - First Class Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo to help with product build up and VERB - Ghost Hair Mask to help with softness. These products work great! Thanks to the charcoal shampoo, an oily saturated scalp is a thing of the past. And the ghost mask smells of lovely sandalwood and my hair is so smooth after, it’s mesmerizing. Non-shampoo days: If I have a light workout I normally just use IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo before and after my workout. Best dry shampoo I have ever used. The charcoal really helps with the sweat. Now if I did my typical 5 mile run and weights, I need something a little more powerful to help me out. I start by using IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo prior to working out, this helps to absorb the oil as you workout. After my workout, I rinse in the shower with IGK - Smoke & Mirrors this is the next best thing to shampooing! My hair feels clean afterwards, however, it doesn’t strip your hair and dry it out. I follow with my normal post shower routine, however I skip the jojoba oil. I also started adding a scoop of collagen powder to my first cup of coffee. I mainly started using it because at 23, I’ve already been running nearly every day for 9 years 😅 so my joints need all the help they can get; however, I think it’s helped in making my hair stronger. My hairdresser noticed an extreme difference in my hair, which was all the confirmation I needed to continue on this pursuit.

My Sephora Black Friday haul ✨
I’m sorry it’s taken me a few days but here is my Sephora Black Friday haul! ✨ Anyone else disappointed with Sephora’s Black Friday deals? I hate how they sprinkle a few in and then just take you to the sale page that’s been up for months. Regardless, it was a good time to stock up on some of my favorite products. The first thing I jumped on was the IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo . This is hands down my favorite dry shampoo! Like absolute holy grail status. It is normally $27 (which I find completely worth it) but they had it half off for $13.50 each. I almost bought three! This is a heavy duty dry shampoo. It comes out white (which I’ve found at work some people think it comes out black because of the charcoal but it’s actually white) and when you work it into the hair I find it doesn’t have a white caste. This is the dry shampoo I go towards when it’s been almost a week since I washed my hair but I still need to look presentable for work. It gives your hair some texture and grit so you’re able to style it perfectly. It’s definitely not one where you want to run your hands through it throughout the day but it makes your hair look like you just washed it. I’ve had customers shocked that my hair hadn’t been washed in almost a week when I talked to them about this product because it looks like I had just washed it when I used it. I also picked up my holy grail make up remover, the CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm . This is normally $30 but I picked it up for half price at $15. I’ve been trying to find something that beats this (Banila and co is probably the closest) but sadly I cannot. It has the perfect balm consistency that melts into the skin and really gets rid of all the makeup and sebum from the day. It doesn’t leave a film on the face or make your eyes blurry like other ones I’ve tried in the past can. It’s literally perfect. For me at least. Then I picked up the AMOREPACIFIC - Vintage Single Extract Essenceas a 100 point sample.

FLAT HAIR? I got you✨☺️
Hi guys!! My hair is normally pretty straight and doesn’t have a lot of volume! I found this routine on tik tok and it’s a life savor😍 -this absorbs all the oil at the roots! Batiste - Original Dry Shampoo Clean & Classic (spray at roots) -this is great for adding volume/texture! AIIR - Texture Spray (spray throughout your hair as needed) I also wash my hair 2-3x a week! I feel as if this works a bit better if you hair is not freshly washed! I do this literally every single day! You can do this once in the morning or if you need the extra volume you can spray as needed throughout the day ☺️☺️

Tips for Hot Rolling Thin Hair!!!
Hey guys!!! So I know I clearly have Afro-Textured hair buttttt I’ve done a couple articles on various hair textures and wanted to share some insight! Ok, so for thin hair the bigger the better. This means volume and if possible height depending on face shape and style. You want to create fullness through curly volume!!! Start on clean hair. If you haven’t already washed your hair perhaps a dry shampoo such as Batiste - Original Dry Shampoo Clean & Classic! Oily and unclean hair will weigh your hair down. Use a texturizing product. Thin hair can be hard to style, in this case, particularly hard to physically manipulate. By using a product such as Kyn. - Texture Sprayit can greatly help you wrap the hair around the roller easier. Hold the rollers horizontally. T3 - Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe for Volume, Body, and Shineare fantastic rollers to use for thin hair and by placing them horizontally you can greatly increase the volume of your hair. The end result will be a tousled effect. Use a strong hold spray. You don’t want your curls to fall and be having thin hair they are already susceptible to falling faster. Hair spray like KENRA PROFESSIONAL - Volume Spray 25 Non-Aerosol Super Hold Finishing Spraywill aid in keeping your curls curly and your style kept all day! Having thin hair does not mean you can’t style your hair the way you want to! It just means you’ll have to make some adjustments. Just like hair prone to dryness has to make adjustments regarding moisture. Learning to style your hair to your liking can be a challenge but it will soon come naturally. What have you found that helped your hair with thinness?

Let’s discuss dry shampoo! 😘
Gotta love dry shampoo!!! Especially my girls with extensions because you shouldn’t wash your hair as often because you could damage them. Even if you want to start washing your hair less because it is healthier for it and saves you time, try dry shampoo!!! I used to think it didn’t work for me, but I gave it a little time for my hair to get used to it (some embarrassing days of greasy hair... but I was staying at home from the quarantine stuff so it wasn’t too embarrassing lol). Now my hair can handle going without washing for a bit. I have tried all these dry shampoos.... and my favorite has to be the Redken, REDKEN - Deep Clean Dry Shampoo I splurged on some other brands... the amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo and the Klorane dry shampoo KLORANE - Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk For All Hair Types , and honestly, they weren’t worth the extra money. I thought they would be better than the cheap ones I have been buying but I wasn’t too impressed. The Zero Fuss texturizing dry shampoo was just gross. Didn’t smell good. Left a weird tint in my hair. And it just didn’t even soak up the oil. I would give that one 0 stars if I could! ☹️ I do really like the NOT YOUR MOTHER'S - Clean Freak Tapioca Dry Shampoo NOT YOUR MOTHER'S - Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo I will continue to purchase these because they smell so good and they also are a very decent price!! And I think they honestly work better than the expensive brands. Anyways, back to the Redken dry shampoo. I seriously love it!!! It smells soooooo amazing, so fresh and clean! I seriously feel rich when I wear it haha!! It smells like I just had an expensive day at the salon like no kidding. It is just very pricey and didn’t last me very long, especially because my hair gets so greasy and oily. I recommend using just the Not Your Mother’s brand as your base and spray over the top with the Redken to get that extra scent that is so great 😁I just use it minimally because it cost me like $24! Ugh. The Not Your Mother’s only cost me $7, and it honestly lasts me such a long time and I use it daily and use a ton of it. That is all on my advice on dry shampoos! Save your money and just buy Not Your Mother’s. If you’re feeling fancy, spray a little of the Redken kind but just a bit if you are on a tight budget like me. Oh! I almost forgot about COLAB - Original Dry Shampoo I do really love this one!!!! I gave it 5 stars because it doesn’t leave any white residue like most of the dry shampoos. The scent is pretty fresh and great, too! And the cost is great! Under $6.

from stick straight | to beach waves 〰️ pt. 1
I’m still getting the hang of my new hair length, but one of my favorite styles already are these beachy waves! I use a ceramic styler from remington that seems to be discontinued, but there are a lot of similar options out there! my barrel is 1 and 1/2 inches, and I found it at target for really cheap. I get the best results on dirty hair, because otherwise my hair is too poofy for my liking. as such, I love the NOT YOUR MOTHER'S - Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo because it is both a dry shampoo and a texturizing spray. it smells great and is under $5 for a huge bottle. that being said, I’m not crazy about the grit or lack of longevity. still, it does the job fairly well. I’ll be uploading the video showing the actual curling process in pt. 2! p.s. thank-you for all the recent follows! I love being on this app and seeing all you here being so kind and supportive puts a smile on my face! ♡ #cheriepartner

Hair Products ✨
Some facts about my hair journey : never been one to use hair products especially since to me that meant gel or hair spray never needed to use hair masks/oils since i never felt my hair was damaged ,since I didn’t style it much growing up always kept it natural never dyed it until I was 20 And not fully dyed until my 22nd so it’s been quite virgin hair my whole life But recently I’ve dyed my full hair back to back 3 times now ending with a blonde and I refused to have any breakage or hair loss due to this So I started off with the Oaui brand back in APRIL I got quite a few products from them The OUAI - Thick Hair Shampoo and OUAI - Detox Shampoo simply dried my hair out after 3-4 bottles and it was just so stiff even right after washing it still being in the shower I for some reason thought that feeling meant it was being cleaned but I was actually stripping my hair Luckily their OUAI - Treatment Masque and OUAI - Thick Conditioner Refill Pouch are so hydrating I used the conditioner in shower then lathered my hair up with the masque then rinsed out after 10 min which was to me basically double masking my hair, extremely unnecessary and over all waste of product and $$ But their OUAI - OUAI x Byredo Super Dry Shampoo Mojave Ghost smells so good and leaves no residue behind and is a must for me especially for a quick touch up on day 3/4

Dry Shampoo white residue? Don’t worry I got you
I love a dry shampoo with a lot of powder because it is what is absorbing the oil to make your hair look less greasy. However, sometimes there is a little white powder residue that I can’t seem to rub into my dark hair. Simple solution 💡!! Shine spray! It makes it all blend away! Detox Dry Shampoo??
Detox Dry Shampoo??
So I wash my hair on average about once a week. Dry shampoo really helps me in the last few days. I definitely have my favorite dry shampoos but I was intrigued by the detox label of this one. #Klorane - Detox Dry Shampoo[products]#[FourStars] The detox shampoo is supposed to remove the impurities from the scalp while absorbing the excess oil. I thought of this product as a combination of hair styling and hair care. However, it is hard to tell if it’s helping your scalp. The biggest difference between this dry shampoo and others I use, is the cooling sensation from the mint. It tingles the scalp slighting and I find it to be soothing. Additionally, it had a lot of powder, more than other dry shampoos from the drug store. I find that my hair looks really refreshing after just a little spray. I will continue to use the detox dry shampoo and recommend giving it a try. I personally like my dry shampoos to have a lot of powder as that absorbs the oil in dirty hair. But my hair is dark and I do need it to rub in invisible. This dry shampoo checks all the boxes! Overall, I am not sure how detoxifying this is; however, I personally love the mint addition, it cools the scalp and it’s a soothing feeling 🤍

Let’s discuss dry shampoo! 😘
Under $6.

Powder vs Aerosol Dry Shampoo
Powder vs Aerosol Dry Shampoo
Powder vs aerosol dry shampoo. What’s the difference?! Y’all dry shampoo is having a MOMENT in the beauty industry! From dollar cheap to high end, you’ll find dry shampoo under almost every sink these days! And for good reason- damaged hair is a thing of the past! Dry shampoo can help extend your style and eliminate using so many heat tools on your precious locks. Now which dry shampoo should you choose? There are several types but the two most offered are aerosol and powder. Aerosol is a spray dry shampoo that will often have a bit more power than its powder counterpart. It will almost always also contain alcohol, which can help dry out scalp oils and leave your hair feeling cleaner. I find that the aerosol spray has a large area of coverage, yet it’s not as precise as a powder. If you like to use dry shampoo all over your head, aerosol will certainly provide the coverage! Powder dry shampoo will be either tapped into your roots, or applied with a bottle that “poofs”. Although it doesn’t have the wide coverage that spray does, you can concentrate the powder on smaller areas of your head if you have problem areas! In addition, if you hair is fine, powder could be a great option due to having fewer ingredients. It will be lighter weight in the hair and not weigh it down as much. So... what’s the gist? I truly believe it’s PERSONAL PREFERENCE! Don’t attack me now, but after much research I don’t think one is supreme over the other. Give them both a try and choose which you like best! How to: Properly Use Dry Shampoo
How to: Properly Use Dry Shampoo
We’ve all been there- you’re running late, spray your dry shampoo and OMG I LOOK LIKE A GRANDMA!!! If you, like many of us, hate the powdery look that dry shampoo can leave behind- start applying it at night! As part of my night routine, I use my dry shampoo. This helps give your shampoo time to absorb all those pesky oils over night- and best part, there is no more white residue!!! Give it a try! My favorite dry shampoo is Deep Clean by Redken. I recommend this dry shampoo if you have very thick hair, or their Invisible Dry Shampoo if your hair is finer. Enjoy!REDKEN - Deep Clean Dry Shampoo
