I can say yes to Ouai!
#OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner[products]#[ThreeStars] After coloring my hair and noticing over the year how damaged my hair has been. I started investing more time and money into repairing and taking care of the hair I have. My stylist always says to use at least 3 products in my hair. Especially when one is styling. I began to look into leave in conditioners. I opted to go to the “high end” route and found this oaui leave in. The tiny 1.5 oz bottle I have is $12 and the larger 4.6 oz..$26! I decided to try it out before spending all that money on something that may or may not work for my hair. Thoughts: The smell is absolutely amazing!! Best part about the scent is that it does linger in your hair after you have styled it. Does do a great job conditioning my ends, and keeping it soft, but I do feel like there are a lot of other great leave ins that do the same. One thing I will say i feel consistent use of this, with focusing on my ends has helped with the dryness I was experiencing after coloring my hair.
What causes hair static & how to fight it 💁
As the cold winter season slowly creeps on us, escaping static electricity will seem impossible, no matter how often we moisturize our hair during the winter. Static electricity is created when two unlike objects rub against each other. The process causes electrons from one object to be transferred to the other. The object that loses the electrons gets a positive charge, while the object that gains electrons get a negative charge. That’s how our hat hair is derived. When the material of the hat rubs against the strands of your hair, they swap electrons, causing a kind of electric charge to build up on your hair. If there isn’t any humidity or moisture in your hair, like on a dry winter morning, the charge causes your strands to repel from another like a magnet, causing embarrassing static and frizz. Stretegy #1 - Hair Oil Dehyradtion is one of the reasons that hair is conducting an electric charge. During winter, our strands can become dry due to lack of moisture in the air. Cold winter winds and warm indoor heat also contribute to this drynes. Pay extra attention to the tresses by moisturizing the strands with an effective hair oil. This powerful Rose Hair & Body Oil by OUAI is a best-seller from the brand. Containing a blend of Absinthium, Shea, and Rosehip Oil, the nourishing oil works to protect strands, lock in moisture, and impart a glowing finish to my skin and hair. I also love how the gorgeous fragrance lingers on my hair for hours, thanks to the rose, bergamot, lychee, and white musk ingredients. US$32 for 3oz OUAI - Rose Hair & Body Oil Strategy #2 – Leave-in Conditioner If you do not have a hair oil or if you prefer another texture, feed your hair the moisture it needs by using a leave-in conditioner. The product will help to hydrate the strands and defend it against the varying temperatures and weather conditions. I love the leave-in conditioner launched by the same brand OUAI. This anti-frizz leave in conditioner with thermal potection not only repair dry ends, it also protects against breakage, and adds slip to hair for a seamless detangling process. The scent is so lovely too – coined “North Bondi”, the fragrance boasts notes including bergamot, italian lemon, rose de mai, magnolia, and lily. US$26 for 4.7oz OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner

What I threw in my Hospital bag🏩
Because I have a neurological disease, I have to go to the hospital pretty often & stay for days at a time. There have been times where I had to leave so suddenly or I wasn’t conscious, that I didn’t get to bring any skincare beyond the lip balm in my pocket. In the past I used to just throw every moisturizer sample I had in my backpack, but as you may have guessed, being in a new environment under stress is not the best time to test new products on our skin. So this most recent time I had to be quick, but managed to grab some helpful items... A “hospital skincare” bag will never be perfect, for me it’s about maintaining comfort. You may have noticed I didn’t bring a cleanser, I recommend you bring one if you can with a few of your own face towels (towels in the hospital are so scratchy & have been bleached) Me not bringing a cleanser is just realistic for me because I likely will not be up at a sink... I brought: BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O wipes Biodegradable & free of Silicone, Petroleum products, Sulfates & Alcohol. These are a really nice gentle face wipe. I haven’t used to remove makeup though. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 Don’t forget to still wear sunscreen even if you’re chillin inside! This has never irritated my eyes, so for me it’s a great option to apply with out a mirror. CAUDALIE - Grape Water Face mist at the hospital is a must! This is my favorite. Full review is my first post.🍇I would love to bring my travel size but I ran out. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask shade: Gummy Bear 🐻 Great for keeping my lips moisturized under my mask😷& overnight. Full review in previous post. sun bum - Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm Less important with my mask on, but I highly recommend this mineral sunscreen lip balm with non-nano zinc for all skin tones! Its free of fragrance, parabens & petroleum products& it’s less than $5 SHANGPREE - Marine Jewel Nourishing Mask & MAY COOP - Raw Sheet are two of my favorite sheet masks, check out my full reviews on both in previous posts. Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol 🍵🍃I also bring this calming serum, it’s over 76% green tea leaf water & 2% panthenol (a B5 provitamin) I’ll be doing a full review soon on this & the other 2 serums Korean skincare brand Beauty of Joseon has to offer. HERBIVORE - Rose Quartz Facial Roller To relive tension in my face... I give this 4 stars because mine kind of squeaks at me & that’s not super relaxing lol. SHANGPREE - Diamond Luminous Cream A very rich Niacinamide cream I’ve been using. Full review of this K-beauty gem coming soon!💎 Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioner Mainly for some aromatherapy🌹
🌹🥛My do it all hair treatment/styling product
🥛Briogeo Farewell Frizz rosarco milk leave-in conditioning spray $20/5 oz 💗Briogeo is a black owned business founded in New York City by Nancy Twine; Specializing in natural, clean formulations for all hair types. She’s also the youngest black woman to launch a brand at Sephora! The brand launched in 2013, & I’ve been using the Rosarco Milk ever since it came out! I’m not one to spend a lot of time styling my hair, but I used to bleach it & dye it A LOT. This was my go to after bleaching. This used to be called “Reparative” leave in conditioning spray, it really works to give damaged hair a healthier look. Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioner First off, the ingredients are great! It’s coconut oil, shea butter, & argan oil based with extracts of hibiscus, rose & grapefruit peel. Super lightweight milky texture & smells AMAZING! Light & floral with hints of delicious grapefruit🍧 I use it both when I get out of the shower on towel dried hair, as well as dry hair. A few spritzes will sleek down hair around my bun or ponytail & make my baby hair less frizzy. I love the hydration & healthy look it gives without being too shiny or oily at all. ⚠️DISCLAIMER: I really only know how this product performs for me & my hair. My hair has thick individual strands & extremely thick overall. My waves are pretty blah, just don’t have straight hair. I also do not use any heat products on my hair ever. Please forgive my terrible pics, I clearly enjoy photographing products much more than my hair, it’s not easy.. but anyways, I use this leave in treatment as a styling product too, or whenever i want my hair to smell nice💗 I showed 3 different results I can get with this product: a more defined wave with buns or scrunching with product/ straight- ish just by smoothing with my hands / or my natural wave enhanced by just air drying with product ... kind of a beach wave. For my hair, there’s a fine line between cute beach waves & a mess lol—- I also really need a haircut to reshape my layers😆✂️ This saves me from having terrible frizz at high elevations where I live🏔 Long story short: I would pick this as the only hair product I was allowed to bring to a desert island 🏝

If you haven’t used number 3 yet go buy it... yes it expensive for tiny bottle but worth it. Lately I actually been loving the new no. 0 with using 3 after. I was lucky enough to win giveaway from @skincitynyc and get some new products ( I already had them before) I would say one of weaknesses is #olaplex especially #olaplextreatment .... number 6 is also so amazing as curly girl leave in us a must have and love this one OLAPLEX - No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment Kit the only thing make the amazing number 3 even better As natural #curlyhair my hair needs these products.....OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance ConditionerOLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance ShampooOLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil These products great any hair type. Though I think we all hair damage this repair it
The holy grail for perfect hair!!!
I have level 2 (almost black) THICK hair and decided to go to platinum blonde. As you can imagine, my hair was horribly dried out, frizzy and out of control. Then I tried: OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector OLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme My hair was never even this healthy before the bleach!!! I’m so blown away by these products!! It’s like colour has never even touched my hair. Because my hair is so thick and so bleached, I actually wet my hair a bit, and leave the No. 3 in for about a hour before I have a shower. You don’t have to, it actually says you only need 10m. But I’ve found superior results by leaving it on longer. After about a month with these products, I decided to give OLAPLEX - No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment Kit a try. Honestly, it feels great and nourishing. But I didn’t notice too much of a difference using this in addition to the other 4 products. My hair was great, but it’s great while just using the no. 3,4,5 and 6. Don’t even get me started on OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil I wrote a whole review on this alone, not worth the money at all. Basically, give No. 3,4,5,6 a try. But you can definitely skip the other 2.

I have way too many samples... I’ll start with the ones I can truly give a solid review on because I’ve tried them several times, but we’ll get through them all together eventually🥰 Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream This cream has a great complex of ceramides, & helped my friends dry skin patches from psoriasis... but the very strong herbal smell I think from the sage oil is way too much for me. I can’t use it because I get nauseous. PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream Didn’t like this personally... I really wanted it to smell like matcha 🍵it’s one of my favorite scents, but this smells very citrusy & turns into a kinda yucky dirt smell... Texture is very nice but it kind of made burning/itching sensations. DIOR - Capture Dreamskin Care & Perfect One of Dior’s more expensive products, & it sucks. Smells like old lady lotion in the worst of ways & is basically a very greasy primer with a bit of peachy shimmer in it. I had a lot of these at one point, tried to find a use—-Major pass. IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm 🥥I love this! Great texture, a completely non-greasy, lightweight, matte gel that doesn’t weigh down my hair at all. It slicked down flyaways & broken hairs by my part really well & gave subtle natural definition to my waves. I would definitely consider buying the full size, it’s vegan, cruelty free, gluten free & free of petroleum products, sulfates & parabens. Great light scent that’s hard to put my finger on but reminds of a fancy salon. Milk MAKEUP - Sunshine Oil This was very thin, runny & hard to control. It has a very simple natural ingredients list, with grape seed & avocado oils as the first 2 ingredients, but It’s also full of citrus oils like grapefruit peel, tangerine peel, mandarin peel & lemon peel oil. There’s not much else in it, & it really irritated my skin unfortunately. Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment This lactic acid & papaya enzyme based exfoliating treatment creates nice temporary results for me. My skin is very smooth after & with no redness, however, even after layers of hydration my skin is still so dry. I can see my skin drink up my essence & serum like never before & I struggle to get hydration back. I checked the ingredients & it has denatured alcohol! Yikes🧐 BITE - Agave+ Weekly Vegan Lip Scrub A great natural lip scrub. It smells wonderful like something caramelized & delicious. But I’d prefer a bit more exfoliant. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Aqua XL Color Paint Shadow shade: M56 This is waterproof af, check my swatches. Blended nicely but do it fast lol, dries to a powdery finish. This would probably make great eyeliner if you’re steady with a brush! 💕Kehlani looks stunning! ANNA SUI - Fantasia Mermaid Eau de Toilette Smells like Christmas time at stores? I like it😂
I grew my hair long and strong
I was always a heat styling person, I never embraced my natural curly hair and I always used to flat iron them my whole life. Until back in November I stopped using heat styling tools, especially flat iron and my hair is this long now!! My hair always grow fast, and genetically I know my hair can grow knee length. My mom had very long, luscious hair in her teenage and I got that inherited in me. Blessed! 😊 But seriously, what can help hair grow longer and healthier?? I believe the following tips and products can help: 1. Eliminate heat styling as much as you can. This is the first step in finally focusing and be able to invest your time and money in reversing the damage. 2. If you have curly/wavy textured, coarsed hair... start embracing it. It's okay to not have flat managed hair all the time. You can always use some nourishing oil like Moroccan oil to tame the frizz. 3. Incorporate Fatty acids,Omega and Vitamin E in your food. Fish is a great option but if you're vegan/vegetarian, Greens, whole grains and fruits are great option. 4. Maintain your hormonal levels with diet and light exercise. I'm not pointing out towards not eating junk (which I adore myself) and not exercising daily. Just a little for you to feel good is enough😊✨ 5. Use nourishing hair oils and masks to pamper your hair weekly. 6. Last but not the least, use gentle products that will help you with your desired hair texture and finish. I'm listing down the products I've neen enjoying and they're really helping me maintain my waves and curls so that I don't feel the need to heat style my hair often 👍 Also these products are my Holy grails now, they're very affordable and work amazing for curly and wavy hair types💖✨ @cantubeauty Shea butter Shampoo and Conditioner cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Hydrating Cream Conditioner cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Cleansing Cream Shampoo @cantubeauty Define and shine custard cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Define & Shine Custard @pacificabeauty Pineapple Curls shampoo PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo @igkhair Mistress hydrating hair balm IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm @thedrybar Prep rally detangler drybar - Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler @aveda Damage remedy daily hair repair AVEDA - Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair AG hair care Fast food moisture leave on conditioner AG hair - Moisture Fast Food Leave-On Conditioner

Hair Static? Oh, Yes! Your Hair Really Needs👀
👀What causes hairf static? Static hair occurs when your hair builds up an electric charge, meaning it has gained some extra electrons thanks to friction or a change in humidity. That makes the strands of your hair repel each other, leaving your hair frizzy and difficult to style. Plus, the elements, a lack of moisture in the air, and heated indoor environments can all exacerbate static hair. 👀How to get rid of static hair? ⭐️1. Try Anti-frizz sheets ⭐️2. Avoid plastic combs Using plastic combs and brushes on your hair can cause static electricity, much like that old trick you did as a kid of making your hair stand up by rubbing a plastic balloon on it. ⭐️3. Massage your Scalp Regularly Scalp contains natural oil. Sebum, which is secreted from the glands keeps the hair moisturized. It also prevents static electricity buildup in your hair. Oil massages have other great benefits all well. It helps in blood circulation that helps in hair regrowth. Oil massages also keep your hair shiny. ⭐️4. Shampoo less often The more you shampoo, the more you’re stripping the natural oils from your hair. Instead of washing your hair every day, shampoo every other day. ⭐️5. Make Deep-Conditioning Mask Regularly If your hair tends toward dry or your hair is otherwise damaged, you may find that regularly using a conditioner isn’t enough to keep your strands feeling moisturized. In that case, using a deep-conditioning mask or treatment once a week or so can help restore your hair’s shine softness. Products to try: ● PALMER'S - Coconut Oil Formula Deep Conditioning Protein Pack ● ORIBE - Moisture & Control Deep Treatment Masque ● BrandFree Japanese essential oil hair mask high gloss non-steaming conditioner repairs dry and rough hair smooth and moisturizing ⭐️6. Never skip conditioner While the surfactant ingredients in some shampoos can contribute a charge to your hair while they clean, conditioners are designed to counteract that. Sure, they’re also designed to help seal the hair cuticle and improve its overall shine and manageability. But if you’re trying to counteract frizz or static, the charge thing is the main reason to never skip conditioner. Products to try: ●aussie - 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner ● R+Co - Television Perfect Hair Conditioner ⭐️7. Use a Moisturizing Shampoo A moisturizing shampoo locks the natural moisture of hair strands, thereby preventing them from drying up. This will not only prevent dryness but will also preserve the natural oil secretion of hair stands called sebum. This will prevent your hair from building up electricity charge as well. Products to try: ● rahua - rahua Hydration Shampoo ● Herbal Essences - Bio Renew Coconut Milk & Aloe Hydrating Hair Mask for Dry Damaged Hair Hope this would helps, sharing is caring.
Drugstore Curly Girl Success
Curly Girl Approved, drug store custard and gel for less than 15$ COMBINED! I use Aunt Jackie's first on soaking wet hair (literally in the shower, after my leave in conditioner) by applying , upside down, with praying hands, brush to clump, then scrunch. I get out of the shower and wet plop , with a tee shirt, for about 5 mins. After I am dressed, I apply the Aussie gel to sections of my hair (upright, not upside down), sometimes I finger coul, sometimes I don't. Each section is pulsed, then I root clip and plop again (different, dry t shirt). When my hair is 80% dry, I diffuse it. I love these products. Aunt Jackie's gives me the results I want, and Aussie helps those results last 2-3 days (with a buff at night and morning refresh).

Ingredient highlight: Propylene Glycol
If you search the internet about propylene glycol you may not want to use any product that contains it. They talk about this is a carcinogenic and toxic ingredient, obviously nobody wants an ingredient with those characteristics on their skin. However it is a widely used ingredient that with a good structure turns out to be non-toxic and is used in medicine, cosmetics and food. Propylene Glycol is a odorless, colorless and insipid liquid that is soluble in water. It is produced synthetically by adding water to propylene oxide, derived from petroleum products. It is a moisturizing, solvent, emollient, and preservative ingredient that helps attract water and locks it into the skin, used in creams, lotions, serums, shampoos, and other skin care products. This ingredient helps the skin absorb moisture, as well as smoothing hair. Principal functions: 🧪 Attracts water: at low concentrations it acts as a humectant. Helps give skin a hydrated, moist appearance when used in cosmetics. 🧪 Lightly moisturizes: as a moisturizer it also hydrates and softens the skin without feeling sticky. 🧪 Safe for acne-prone skin: it is a non-greasy ingredient. 🧪 Prevents water loss: as an emollient, it creates a protective barrier that prevents water loss and softens the skin. 🧪 Enhances penetration: helps the active ingredients in cosmetics penetrate the skin better and be more effective. SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Joia Strengthening + Smoothing Conditioner Claims: a rich yet weightless conditioner that repairs and smooths for healthy hair that’s twice as strong. As I mentioned above, propylene glycol helps smooth and detangle hair, and this conditioner definitely makes styling easier. It also smells delicious. I have been using it for 6 months and I love how soft and manageable my hair is, as well as helping to control frizz and detangle it easily. HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub Claims: a gentle yet powerful exfoliator infused with pineapple and papaya enzymes, BHAs, and AHAs that leaves skin with a healthy glow. I previously reviewed this product and mentioned that it leaves the skin clean, smooth and glowy, some of the benefits that this ingredient gives to the skin. I have been using it for 3 months and I like the results. Skin type: combination, acne-prone. Skin concerns: dullness, dryness. Hair type: straight hair. Hair concerns: frizz.

MY HAIR IS TANGLE FREE!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Today I have my review of the @drunkelephant Wild Marula™ Tangle Spray 🐘 Just to give you a little background on my hair I have long thick hair and it tangles very easily. My hairdresser tells me I have enough hair for three people! ☺️Most of the time my conditioner can’t even detangle my hair! I am always on the hunt to try out different detangling sprays because my hair needs it. • • I was excited to try the Wild Marula Tangle Spray! This spray is a leave-in mist that detangles, smooths, and provides heat protection! A 3 in 1 product? I’ll take it! I sprayed it into my freshly washed damp hair from root to tip and gently combed it through. I swear it was like MAGIC! Nothing thus far has worked to detangle my hair! Not only did it detangle my hair but it left my hair feeling smooth and added a nice shine as well. • • I highly recommend picking up the @drunkelephant Wild Marula Tangle Spray! Coming from a girl whose hair is always a tangly hot mess...you need this! 🙌🏽 You will fall in love with it! 🐘💛🐘 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Wild Marula Tangle Spray

𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓾𝓵𝓪 𝓜𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓪𝔂 💛 . 𝒱𝒾𝓇𝑔𝒾𝓃 𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓊𝓁𝒶 𝐿𝓊𝓍𝓊𝓇𝓎 𝐹𝒶𝒸𝒾𝒶𝓁 𝒪𝒾𝓁 - I’m not gonna lie to you guys; when I first tried VMO over a year ago, I didn’t expect to fall in love with it like I have. Prior to VMO, I had this mindset that facial oils just didn’t work for my skin. I assumed that because my skin was more on the oily side, that a facial oil would be the last product that my skin needs. Boy was I wrong! I use VMO every night in my nighttime routine. For me personally, I get the best results from it when I mix it into my moisturizer and/or serums, rather than applying it on its own. VMO seeps into my skin beautifully; leaving it moisturized, soft & nourished. 🌻 𝒲𝒾𝓁𝒹 𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓊𝓁𝒶 𝒯𝒶𝓃𝑔𝓁𝑒 𝒮𝓅𝓇𝒶𝓎 - When Drunk Elephant revealed their Head to Toe Hair & Body collection, I knew right away that I needed to get my hands on this multi purpose spray. I have naturally curly, frizzy hair & it can be quite a challenge to find a detangle spray / leave in conditioner that doesn’t leave my hair heavy, weighed down and/or greasy the next morning. Wild Marula is everything you WANT from a detangle / leave in conditioner / heat protectant spray - weightless, conditioning, super fine mist, & leaves no build up on your hair or scalp since it is silicone free! Oh & Nathan from the DE team has shared a secret of his: Wild Marula works fantastically as a facial mist!🌻 Let me know down below if you’ve tried either of these products. Do you love them like I do?! 💛 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Wild Marula Tangle Spray DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil

Blow-Drying At Home: High Volume + Low Frizz
My thick yet fine hair naturally straddles the 2A/2B line, depending on a variety of factors: humidity level, days since last shampoo, products used, etc. But I love using the *amika: - Hair Blow Dryer Brush to add volume and tame my waves without straightening them, eliminating frizz and adding shine. I typically only heat-style on special occasions or when extending time between washes- here’s my no-wash day polished routine! 1. Separate: I separate my hair into three sections with a wide-tooth comb: crown, middle, nape. Crown is pulled into a small ponytail, then middle joins it using a clip. 2. Protect: Apply *amika: - Blockade Heat Protectant Serum liberally to the current layer- I run my fingers through the layer to help it soak in. 3. Prep: Spritz roots with amika: - Brooklyn Bombshell Blowout Spray xxxx 4. Style: Starting at the roots, I gently and slowly slide the brush, moving down that section of hair vertically. Repeat throughout the current layer until hair is to desired dryness. 5. Re-Section: I’m kind of Type A about things so I tie up the current layer of separated hair before letting down the next layer. It also helps keep from over-drying my hair and causing frizz! Repeat Steps 4-5 Until Hair Is Dry 6. Extra Moisture: Before my hair fully cools, I rub another pump of *amika: - Blockade Heat Protectant Serum between the tips of my fingers and focus on moisturizing/protecting the ends of my hair. I’ve noticed this helps my hair look more polished and extend the life of the hairstyle as far as frizz is concerned! 7. Smooth: Once my hair has cooled and the serum has soaked in, I finish everything off with a few sprays of *amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner and a thorough fluffing with my hands! I love how shiny and soft my hair is, perfectly smooth despite the serious volume and movement offered by the styler 💕 * PR Sample #CheriePartner
Day-to-Day Heat-Free Hair
I’ve been growing out my hair, so I especially don’t like using heat often- even with heat protection, I worry about long-term damage to my ends that will be noticeable for a while as I aim for waist-length tresses. So, here’s how I keep my hair frizz-free on my usual days where I’ll be hanging out inside, hitting the gym, and running errands! • *amika: - Vault Volor-Lock Leave-In Conditioner is like if detangler and a leave-in softening treatment had a baby. It doesn’t weigh down my hair but helps to keep my hair soft and touchable as it air-dries... plus makes combing much less of an annoyance despite the thickness of my hair! • *amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner is amazing even on days I’ve washed. Air-drying can leave my wavy hair a bit untamed and fluffy, so brushing after applying Silken Up keeps my hair frizz-free and silky, like a less drying version of hair spray! • *amika: - Blockade Heat Protectant Serum probably makes less sense on an air-dry day but I’ve fallen in love with it for how it tames split ends and increases shine when I take a very small amount over my hair with my palms. I use this throughout the day as well, particularly after a windy car ride, to scrunch my hair with my hands without creating a frizzy mess. #CheriePartner *PR Sample

💕 Double Cleanse your Scalp.
Amika giftedme this adorable set which includes 3 new products from their Reset line: a Cleansing Oil, Shampoo, and Conditioner. The Cleansing Oil is meant to act as a 1st cleanse for your scalp and what a genius idea this is! I mean, we all double cleanse our face (well, I hope anyway 🤭) so, why not do the same for your hair, right? I love the applicator nozzle on this. It helps to apply the product directly onto my dry scalp before I hop into the shower. After I massage and rinse the oil out, I follow up with the Shampoo which has, such a fun gel texture! This product cleanses my hair really well but without feeling stripped. And lastly, I go in with the Cooling Gel Conditioner. This also has a fun, bouncy, mousse texture and I love how cool, refreshing, and hydrating it leaves my hair feeling. I know they are not recommended for color treated hair. But, have you tried this set yet? What's your favorite product you've tried from @amika so far? Oh and happy almost Valentine's day, my loves!! Life has been extremely hectic & exhausting 😪 in our household because we started our renovations process earlier this week 🤪 but, hubsters said he made dinner reservations for Friday so, I'm really, really looking forward to that! 💕
Amik Reset line
This is my first time trying shampoo and conditioner (as well as an oil cleanser) from @amika and I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised! The reset line is supposed to deep clean the hair by removing all the products (mouses, oils, dry shampoos) and dirt from it. These products are supposed to be used once a week to reset your hair, but if you have very oily hair, you can use it as you see fit. Personally, I use it about 2/3 times a week, because my hair can get oily pretty quick. . The shampoo smells super clean and a bit of peppermint. Foams up easily and leaves the hair feeling refreshed and clean, but not too clean. The conditioner is creamy, but very light and not at all heavy. It also smells a little it of peppermint. As far as oil cleanser, I am still not 100% sure if it works for me. I’ve tried to use a little bit of it, then a lot, and in both cases I don’t feel it do anything for my hair or scalp. If you’ve used it and liked it, let me know how you use it! . Personally, I’m very happy with this line. I love how the shampoo and conditioner duo leaves my hair feeling. Each time I use them, it’s like a fresh start for my hair. I think this line is amazing for people who have oily hair, or use a lot of products in their hair. This does an amazing job at deep cleaning and refreshing the hair. PRODUCTS THAT HELPED WITH HAIR LOSS!
Hair loss can be an incredibly painful experience. It’s embarrassing and exhausting trying to hide. Most times whatever I did to hide it caused more damage. It’s so easy not to feel beautiful when you fall outside of the traditional standards of beauty. In my personal experience I felt like no one else I knew was going through the same thing I was and I just wanted my hair to grow like everyone else. I tried so many products and would get my hopes up when I saw some progress only to be devastated again and again. My hair loss is a direct result of stress and would happen around big deadlines or when something big was happening in my life which would create even more stress! I have very dry hair brittle hair, that doesn’t do well when it is out in its natural state and requires a lot of maintenance. 2 products I use in addition using ogx - Coconut Miracle Oil Shampoo ogx - Coconut Miracle Oil Conditioner TROPIC ISLE LIVING - Jamaican Black Castor Oil Hair Therapy deep conditioning once a month, keeping my hair in protective styles like braids and wearing satin bonnets to sleep are Women’s Rogaine and Hairfinity vitamins. Rogaine - 5% Minoxidil Foam for Hair Regrowth - this is a clear watery liquid. You are to apply to the area of your scalp that you experiencing hair loss twice a day. It comes with a dropper so it’s easy to be precise about where you are placing the product. I have hair loss along my hairline so I apply the product and then Pat it into my hair to prevent it from dripping. It can get a bit sticky on your hands. This is not a product that works overnight so you have to be patient but it can have amazing results with continued use. #Hairfinity - Healthy Hair Vitamins[products]#[FiveStars] - LOVE THIS PRODUCT! This produces speedy results! Your results are based on how fast your hair grows and they may not be the same for everyone but in 3 weeks to a month of taking these pills I started seeing my bald patches starting to darken and I feel like my hair was growing at a faster rate. I started using this product first so I have seen the results of this on its own and they are amazing! My stress induced hair loss happens at the top of my head and Hairfinity helped my hair regrow in this area pretty quickly but the thin areas around my hairline still needed extra help and that’s why I started using Rogaine. This is something I wouldn’t talk about for a long time but once I realized it happens to more people than I thought I decided started to feel less embarrassed about something that is of my control. #CherieCreator
HOW TO SLEEP WITH & TREAT SUPER DRY HAIR!
My natural hair is longer than it has ever been. I have struggled with hair loss over the years but I’ve finally found a system that works for me. Washing & Conditioning: Once a month or each time I take out my protective styles I deep condition my hair with Salon Care cholesterol Cream Conditioner. I take the cream and fully saturate my hair and scalp with the product, cover my hair with a disposable plastic cap and put my heating cap on for 30 mins and wash my hair. Cholesterol is great for adding moisture to dry damaged hair. I use ogx - Coconut Miracle Oil Shampoo & ogx - Coconut Miracle Oil Conditioner . These products are amazing! They smell great and add much needed moisture to my hair leaving it looking shiny and healthy. Hydration: I add castor oil to my scalp every day and put it on my hands when I am twisting my hair for bed to add moisture and shine to my hair. I apply it from roots to ends of my hair about once a week or when I notice my hair starting to get dry. Castor oil promotes hair growth, repairs split ends, controls hair loss and helps to thicken hair. Sleep: When I am wearing my natural hair I will twist my hair before bed about 2 times during the week. When I twist my hair i wear a head scarf to protect my hair and keep everything in place. In the morning I will untwist my hair, separate the strands and use a wide tooth comb to fluff the roots. On nights after my initial twist out I will put my hair (untwisted) in my Grace Eleyae Satin Lined Cap. This protects my hair from friction when I sleep and helps my Hair retain moisture and shine. I also use a satin pillow case in case my scare or cap slips off while I am sleeping so that my hair is protected for friction damage. I use the one from Organic Olive Oil Root Stimulater. Protective Styles: This has really helped my hair to grow. I don’t keep my natural hair out for extended periods of time. I am also straying away from wigs because they can take moisture from your hair and the friction between the wig and your hair can cause breakage. When I get my hair braided it usually lasts 1-3 months depending on the style. Cornrow styles last about a month and box braids and twist last closet to 3. When my hair is in braids I put castor oil on my scalp every day or when my scalp feels dry. #CherieCreator
Hair Mask that bring life back into my hair
#amikagiftedme soul food nourishing mask . If your hair is especially dry, this one’s for you! . For some unknown reason, my hair has been getting really dry lately. I haven’t changed much in my haircare routine, so I’m thinking maybe it’s the weather? Either way, it is what it is, and now I have to deal with it somehow. . This mask already had me at the word ‘nourishing’, but the fact that it has jojoba oil really sealed the deal for me. Both my skin and hair love jojoba oil, so I knew this would be good. And you know what, it is good! Just after the first use, my hair felt much softer and hydrated, and stayed that way for a while. I didn’t have to dunk it in oil to keep it from feeling like hay. . It’s quite thick, almost as thick as your average body cream, but it spread through hair with no problems. I let it sit on my hair from around 6-7 minutes, wash it off and don’t follow with conditioner. The mask gives enough hydration. . Let me know what you use to keep your hair hydrated and nourished. I need all the recommendations I can get 😂 . . . . gifted #cheriecreatoramika: - Soulfood Nourishing Mask

Hair mask that works
This mask is great because it makes your hair feel really soft no matter what your hair is going through. My hair has become really dry from all the bleaching so applying this and focusing on all the blonde really helps nourish all the dry-ness. Package says to leave on for only 2-3 minutes but I leave it on for at least 10.. i feel like you can get the samr amount of softness in 2-3 minutes but I just get so distracted in between masking- i always apply a mask and go do some house chore
