$20 for a product that will last you all year
I originally received the travel sized version of this product four years ago and have not looked back since then. Traditional conditioners do not work for me, they weigh down my hair and make it super oily. Though it may feel weird to have tangled dry hair coming out of the shower, this leave-in conditioner fixed all of my problems with frizzy hair. Pros: Easy to apply (3-5 squirts per use) and last me (with shoulder length hair) up to a year. It smells good, mainly like the rosehip that it contains. It makes brushing through tangled hair a breeze. Although I have super oily hair, I can apply this to my roots and not have any issues with excess oil between taking showers. Cons: I need to use a wet brush to be able to detangle my hair after getting out of the shower without using conditioner. I honestly think that this product works better when I air dry my hair as opposed to blow drying it, which is fine for me as I shower before going to bed and do not dry my hair. But if you really like/need to blow dry your hair this may not be the product for you. I say give this leave-in conditioner a shot if you have frizzy hair and are looking for a change.

🍯🧸Don’t Despair, Honey Bear!🪵
I’m a big Briogeo fan! Both me & my bf use a lot of their hair products. I’ve been using them for years, but recently got him more into taking care of his dry/brittle curly hair. I ordered him so many things to try, Olaplex & all kinds of repairing treatments, but Briogeo oils, masks & his personal favorite Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-in Conditioning Spray totally transformed his hair! 🧸I was so excited to see the adorable Honey Bear back in stock! I never got to try it before! I believe this cutie is still limited edition & only available in this set, but I hope I’m wrong, because I will continue to repurchase! Briogeo - Merry Multi-Masking Kit Ft. Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Honey Bear Hair Mask $36/set of 3 hair masks I bought this as a very early xmas gift for both of us...🍯girl I neeeeded that honey bear! This would make a great holiday gift, or to split up as stocking stuffers for your fam! I only knock off a ⭐️because I really wasn’t into one them scent-wise, but that will not be everyone’s experience. 🎁Don’t forget to support black owned brands this holiday season! This giftset includes: One full size 8 oz Honey Bear & two 2 oz tubes 🪵🐻🍯Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Honey Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask This is definitely my favorite. Not just because it’s so freakin cute, but the formula is great! I have thick wavy hair that needs a lot of hydration & moisture. This is it! Smells like real Honey, which is also the 8th ingredient. Honey is an excellent hydrator/natural humectant. The formula also contains moisturizing Argan, Almond, Avocado & Rosehip oils. It also has Apple & Ginseng extracts! I absolutely loved how soft & manageable my hair felt afterwards + my hair smelled so amazing & natural! 🥝🥑Briogeo - Be Gentle, Be Kind Avocado + Kiwi Mega Moisture Superfoods Hair Mask I also loved this formula so much! My hair was so soft afterwards & also smells amazing! Real Kiwi extract (9th ingredient) lends itself to this amazing Kiwi-Strawberry smoothie vibe. Avocado oil is the 8th ingredient. It’s very moisturizing & the color (of all 3) comes from natural sources. This crazy green likely comes from the beneficial Algae, Spinach, Aloe & Turmeric extracts. 🌹🥥Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask This just wasn’t it for me, I believe I’ve tried it a long time ago & I think it was reformulated. You can see in my swatches, that it isn’t quite as thick as the other 2. It started to slide off my arm where the others didn’t budge. Besides simply not performing as well as the others, the smell really bothered me. I’m not opposed to fragrance especially in hair products, but this was very harsh. It could be a personal thing because it made feel like I couldn’t breathe well & kinda sick to my stomach. Has that sort of sharp cut grass smell. It lasted on my hair too.☹️

blonde upkeep on Asian hair ✨
I went from virgin black hair at the roots to a light ashy blonde in one session! For most this might be extremely damaging. Luckily, I have an amazing stylist that was able to lift my hair without causing any major damage. That being said here are the products I’ve been loving since going blonde: amika: - Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo If you have blonde hair it is a MUST to use purple shampoo! It tones down any brass tones. I love this one by Amika and use just a little dime size amount mixed with my every day shampoo. OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector This is an amazing product for smoothing hair follicles while strengthening too. I love this product! However, I feel that it’s pretty spendy for the amount you get in one bottle. OLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner Love this shampoo and conditioner duo. I have naturally straight and frizzy hair, but this duo has helped smooth my hair entirely and help maintain the color. OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme The smell of this product is to die for 🤩 I use this after I shower and towel dry. A little bit goes a long way with this! BEACHWAVER Co. - Pro Rotating Curling Iron Love the beach waver, but dislike the price. You can achieve the same style of waves with a regular curler. However, I can style all of my hair in less than 15 min with this. It’s all about convenience in my opinion.

How to Fix Hair Static ❄️
I have thin, straight hair so when winter comes and I need my little hat, my hair goes wild! But why? ❄️ What is hair static? ❄️ Hair static is when your hair gains an electric charge. This can happen from friction and a change in humidity. This makes the hair pieces separate from each other and of course adds challenges for styling. Generally this happens more in the winter due to the low humidity. Here are some tips to prevent this! ✨Use a hair oil My favorite one is my Gisou. It is lightweight and made with honey so it is very hydrating and helps me with flyaways and general hair frizz even when it is summertime. This doesn’t leave hair heavy or sticky and I feel like this always makes my hair look and feel better. Not to mention it smells amazing! This comes in a mini and full size and is now available at Sephora. Also it’s so luxurious and the glass packaging is gorgeous. This has three sizes now, the mini is $25 and 0.7 oz so that’s probably a good place to start but I purchased the 1.7 oz for $46 and LOVE it. I will be purchasing the full size too. ✨You can buy anti-frizz sheets This is a new discovery for me and I haven’t tried them yet but rather than dryer sheets which are not meant for your hair, these sheets have things like coconut oil in them and are meant to be used on flyaways and the hair line to help with static. These can be found on Amazon! ✨Use hydrating hair products This could be your shampoo, conditioner and even the occasional hair mask but these will also help a lot with static. You’re going to want to avoid any drying products as well. I personally love Olaplex products because they repair hair from the inside out and smell so good 🍓 This is 8.5 oz and $28. They also have a cute holiday set out for $60 which has the shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and bond smoother. Also, when styling your hair, make sure to use a heat-protector which will lock in the moisture! gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner #CheriePartner

HOW TO TURN YOUR HAIR FROM THIS🤮 TO THIS😍🔥
My hair care journey has not been easy but over time, I turned my EXTREMELY heat-damaged hair into lively, bouncy curls! Pictured is my current hair care routine, after 3 years of trying various hair products from ALL different brands I think I found my favorite lineup😍 TPH BY TARAJI - Honey Fresh Clarifying Shampoo With Moisture This clarifying shampoo is one of favorites that I’ve tried so far! I suffer from fast product build-up on my scalp, so I usually need to use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week. Something about a shampoo that bubbles makes my scalp feel extra clean 🧼 so I love using this on days where I feel like my No-Poo won’t get the job done. SLS/SLES free, phthalate free, paraben free, mineral oil free, and cruelty free! DevaCurl - No-Poo Original Zero Lather Conditioning Cleanser I wanted to love this product because I heard so much hype about it but it just doesn’t do much for when I feel like I need a wash day😅 Great texture though and my hair never feels stripped after using it! DevaCurl - One Condition Original Daily Cream Conditioner THIS IS MY HOLY GRAIL. Favorite conditioner I’ve ever used and definitely has a large role in my hair journey. My curls love this conditioner! (NOTE: the decadence version of this conditioner is great for super dry hair as well) Alikay Naturals - Lemongrass Leave-in Conditioner This is another one of my ride or die products and I was so surprised to see that it hadn’t been recommended on cherie yet! This detangles my hair so easily and it’s the first thing I spray on my hair when I get out of the shower. Its main ingredient is lemongrass oil that aims to help strengthen hair follicles, promote healthy hair growth, and reduce hair shedding. Highly recommend this product for ALL hair types! Kinky-Curly - Knot Today, Natural Leave In / Detangler This product is okay. When I first bought it, I though it would serve more as a gel to seal my leave in conditioners in but it just doesn’t work as well as DevaCurl - Light Defining Gel Soft Hold No-Crunch Styler . This gel creates the perfect shine and seal for all my moisturizing products that I apply before hand. AND I love that it doesn’t leave a crunchy feeling most gels do. MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Leave-In Conditioner Another hair care staple. The smell is fantastic and it slips through my hair like BUTTAH😩 Once my hair dries, I’m left with pillow-soft curls! (NOTE: I apply this after my Alikay Naturals Leave-in spray and top it with my gel) Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask Last but not least, liquid gold in a tub. Man if I could bathe in this mask I would. I use this mask once-twice a week to add some extra richness in my routine!

Holy Grail Products for My Naturally Coily Hair
My hair is pretty sensitive to new products so when I find something that works for me, it’s rare that I try something new. However, I was drawn towards Mielle products based on all of the good reviews from friends and family with similar hair types to me that I’d heard. The company’s owner is also a Black woman who’s super inspiring and sweet. I put my fear aside, and decided to try these new products on my type 4 hair. I bought the entire line from Mielle’s website and upon it’s arrival, I was in LOVE with how they smelled. I’m really critical of fragrances in hair products because of my sensitivities, but Mielle products smell naturally sweet and similar to its name which in Spanish (Miel) means “honey”. I started using the shampoo and conditioner first just to see if I’d have any reactions before trying the rest of the line. I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely fell in LOVE. I’d definitely recommend using all of the products in order to see the best results. My hair is so soft and moisturized with no product flakes over time. Love love love. The Mielle line is definitely my holy grail when it comes to moisturized and nourished coily hair MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Moisturizing and Detangling Shampoo MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Moisturizing and Detangling Conditioner MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Twisting Soufflé MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Leave-In Conditioner

Revlon one step review + thanks for 1k!
Christmas was extremely good to me last year (ah that sounds so weird 😣) I received a lot of things I was thankful for and one of those things ended up being my REVLON - Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer ... okay so technically my mom told me to buy it as her gift to me but hey a gift is a gift 😂 Let me just start off by saying I have extremely thiccckkkk 4b/c hair. This went through my hair like nobodies business without me risking carpal tunnel like blowing my hair out with a blow dryer and brush does 😂 I was so amazed at how well it did because I thought it wouldn’t be heavy duty enough to get the job done and it was! Now I will say that a key to me doing my hair thoroughly was parting my hair. Usually when I do my hair I do four parts. I part my hair down the middle breaking it into 2 and then I part each section in half give me 4 parts in total. When I was using this I think I had 16 parts in total. Sounds super crazy and time consuming but I promise it wasn’t. I also made sure that I had my heat protectant on deck. I used twisted sista blow out creme and an ors olive oil heat protectant. I also deep conditioned my hair with the aussie - 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner for like an hour or two before blowing my hair out. As seen in the last picture I currently have my hair braided down. Over quarantine I’ve become a sucker for protective styles so I’ll braid my hair down like it’s nothing 😂 I really like the length blowing my hair out gave me. So this is my testimony for my coily girls! Also thank you for 1k everybody! This is really unreal to me (bc I have never been this popular before Omg) and I can’t wait to give you guys more content :) thank you so much for following me and reading my posts, it means so much to me ❤️

My Bunny & Her Hair 🐰
We call her Bunny. Her name is Heather Olivia. She is almost 5 years old. I was a mother long before she came along. A mother to 3 boys which, at the time of her birth, made me feel unqualified for the job of raising a girl. The youngest girl in my family at the time was 18 years old so I did not have much experience with girls since there were so many males in my family. Over time, this irrational feeling of not measuring up went away and I am now confident in my mothering of a young African American female. There was only one issue I had a problem tackling - her hair! I didn’t know much about doing a girls hair and I couldn’t just take her to a barber like my boys. So, I started out by doing what I did to my hair when I started my natural hair care journey. I even used the same products and she still uses these products to this very day! I searched YouTube videos and learned so much from them. I practiced on her and now I think I’ve got it! Now, she loves when I do her hair and I’m more comfortable doing it. Today I had to do some finger coils on her hair and she absolutely loved it. I even let her pick out her headband! Here is the list of products used during her normal regimen and today: Mane‘n Tail - Deep Moisturizing Shampooand SheaMoisture - Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Rinse-Out Conditionerwere used for washing her hair. cantu - Shea Butter Leave in Conditioning Repair Cream and SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus, Kids Curling Butter Creamwere used on her hair as leave ins. Hot Six Oil, SheaMoisture - 100% Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, ECOCO - Eco Style Olive Oil GelandMiss Jessie's - Pillow Soft Curlswere used to seal in moisture as well as for styling her amazingly curly 3C/4A hair.

Starting the Journey to Healthy Curls
I started my journey to happy, healthy waves when I started quarantine (mid March). It’s been about seven months, and I’d like to drop some tips for people just starting! Some tips for starting: you do NOT need to break the bank when you’re just starting. A leave in conditioner and curl cream are all you need to get started! there is a transition period, and things will be rough at first. When you transition, your hair may get worse or not change before it gets better. Hair in transition needs moisture and a patient, gentle hand 💗 start with a clarifying shampoo. Buildup from everything you’ve done to and put on your hair will make transitioning and improving your hair 1000x harder don’t get overwhelmed-you don’t need to understand protein/moisture balance, density, what ingredients are good and bad, and also the other intricacies when you’re just starting keep a journal and take progress photos! I can’t even tell you how helpful it is Tips on your hair type: your actual hair TYPE, or how tight/loose your hair is is nearly irrelevant, especially when you start your type may be different throughout your hair, and it will change as you progress what’s more important is hair density, porosity, and damage ^ that’s what will affect how and which products are best for your hair Things I wish I’d known: don’t do everything at once! Add a product, wait and see how your hair reacts you don’t need to follow every curly girl rule! Your hair is unique and some rules will do more harm than good once you get out of your transition stage, experiment! Different types of styling will make a world of difference take photos of your journey! I feel like I’ve missed out on being able to actually SHOW how much my hair has improved because I hardly have any photos from the start Favorite products: PAUL MITCHELL - Clarifying Shampoo Three I have hard water so a weekly clarifying shampoo combined with a deep conditioner is essential to prevent buildup. This shampoo leaves my hair so smooth and light without being harsh! A necessity if you have hard water Aunt Jackie's - Curl Boss Coconut Curling Gelée A cheap, easy to find and super reliable gel. Still my favorite. Makes a nice cast, adds definition, and when scrunched out leaves a voluminous, soft curl that remains consistent until your next wash day aussie - 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner My absolute favorite feel conditioner, perfect for transition and is still my staple seven months in. Cheap and last forEVER! Nice smell, can be washed out immediately for a lighter condition or left 5+ minutes for an extra deep condition I’ll also strongly recommend apple cider vinegar washes-never has my hair been softer, smoother, shinier, and clumped easier then after an acv rinse(definitely will get around to doing a post on this!) Overall, just be patient with and love your hair and it will love you!

Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray 💜Living proof. - Restore Perfecting Spray I am always looking for new hair products to help keep my hair healthy and protect it from heat damage. I have naturally thick and wavy hair which also can often get quite frizzy and dry, so I love using leave in conditioners like this one to help minimize the frizz. I decided to try the Living Proof spray because I had heard amazing things about all the products from the brand and I had never tried anything. I also love the simple purple packaging of this product. I like to use this after showering on damp hair. I spray it in, focusing on the ends and then comb my hair. I really enjoy using this because I notice it leaves my hair feeling super soft and strong. It doesn’t leave a greasy residue or weigh it down either. I love that it helps detangle my hair and that it provides heat protection. It has a fresh, faint citrus smell which I really like too!

MY GO TO DETANGLER
I just love living proof products. I got this in my 20 pence sample kit from Sephora and I just love it. I do think it’s a little over priced but most things are these days haha. Detanglers are a must for me right now. The amount of hair I’m losing these days is out of control. I don’t even like to brush my hair when I get out of the shower because I lose so much damn hair. But if I don’t then my hair is wild wild wild! This has helped so much. I’m still losing hair but I’m coming up with a recipe to get it under control haha. For now if you have super tangly hair after your shower, definitely pick this guy up. It’s also a heat protector and provides UV protection as well. Living proof. - Restore Perfecting Spray WHAT IS IT? A featherweight conditioning detangler that delivers all the benefits dry, damaged hair needs to look and feel healthier. WHAT IT DOES? * Delivers an instant boost of hydration * Minimizes breakage from wet detangling * Provides lasting smoothness and natural shine * Heat protection (up to 400°F/200°C) HOW TO USE? Shake well. On clean, damp hair, spray from roots to ends focusing on tangled areas. Comb through. Style as usual. FACTS Paraben-free Phthalate-free Safe for chemically treated hair UV Protection Silicone-free Color safe PETA Certified Cruelty-free It's powered by Healthy Hair Molecule and time-released conditioners that smooth and soften hair while minimizing breakage from wet detangling. If you save my post, do a girl a solid and please like them too ❤️😘😘😘

I wanted to love this!!
to say I was disappointed is an understatement!! this made my hair sooo very, very dry. when I tried wearing it curly it felt brittle and was a frizz fest. Sad I spent $12 on an ounce of product but I guess thats better than being stuck with huge bottles I would never use. I'm going to use the rest of the conditioner to shave my legs, lol. guess I'll just have expensive shave cream for a day.

☀️big ‘ol SOL de Janeiro haul
If you have read one of my past posts about Sol de Janeiro, you already know I’m a dedicated Bum Bum cream user. We’re celebrating our 5 year anniversary this Spring🧴👰🏻! We’re very happy together🧡 I do pray every night they will release a deodorant!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeaase 🌴After trying various samples of their other body care & hair care products, I finally just broke down & went deeper into the jungle of my obsession. 🇧🇷 SOL de Janeiro means January Sun in Portuguese. I’ve always loved that play on words (Rio de Janeiro) & sentiment. In Rio, January is the height of Summer sunshine. I have a January birthday, & growing up in Northern California, this was definitely not the case🌁 The warm, rich sweet nutty scent is so comforting to me year round. I’ll be writing in-depth reviews for everything here, but if you want to check out my full review, the ingredient breakdown & scent profile info on SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream it’s in a previous post😘 I was really excited to finally get my hands on a 🏄🏻‍♀️ SOL de Janeiro - Biggie Biggie Bum Bum Cream Almost 17 ounces of my favorite body cream with the adorable purple surfboard spatula💜 In that post I also reviewed SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist which I completely love, only wish it lasted longer... So, enter: SOL de Janeiro - Cheirosa ’62 Eau de Parfum SOL de Janeiro - Cheirosa '71 Body Mist Just wasn’t the scent for me... but I had to give it a shot. It’s intense for a body spray, certainly more staying power than their Brazilian Crush body spray. It smells like very sweet kettle corn 🌽? SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Touch Hand Sanitizer Spray A hand sanitizer that smells like bum bum? Yes please. Mind you, this is still hand sanitizer, but there’s a slight hint of that bum bum scent you love. My favorite hand sanitizer! A must with: SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Touch Hand Cream also reviewed in my previous post. I’m still trialing SOL de Janeiro - Bum Bum Body Scrub But it smells wonderful, very moisturizing, but could be a bit too rough for sensitive skin.... SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Joia Strengthening + Smoothing Shampoo my bf & agreed this was just ok, but we stan the conditioner hard: SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Joia Strengthening + Smoothing Conditioner this is the shit! Seriously my new favorite conditioner! Last but not least, SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel is a body wash I love to keep in my rotation. Smells like bum bum, so it’s a wonderful shower experience if you love their signature scent. ✨What are your favorite scented bath & body products? Or do you have a fav SOL de Janeiro product?

How I fully transitioned and grew my 4b/c hair
My hair journey is something that means a lot to me. As a child I was always known to have hair so long it reached the middle of my back. Whether my hair was curly, straight, braided or in twists it generated a lot of talk. That’s why when I went natural and lost basically all the length that I somewhat had it was such a shocker. I was natural as a child before I began to get a relaxer at around 3rd grade. It was needed since my mom had just gotten over breast cancer for a second time and my long thick curls were too much for her to take care of. My hair still retained its length, even as I went into middle school but once I hit 9th grade I’d realized something. My length was gone. Now I will say SOOOO many hair mistakes were made when I began doing my own hair in high school. I put too much heat to it, I manipulated it too much, and I didn’t care about my strands enough. I honestly don’t know at what point I realized I wanted to go natural but at the end of my sophomore year I did. My mother who is a very traditional black woman when it comes to hair made it crystal clear there was no way in hell I was getting the big chop I wanted. Because of this I was forced to transition over. I vividly remember the first product I used as a natural being SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie this served a good purpose since my number one goal at the time was curl definition. I don’t mind that as much anymore because I have come to terms with the fact that my hair type is NOT loose curls. Since quarantine that goal has changed. My goal I’m March went from “how do I get my hair to curl” to “okay how do I retain length and keep my hair healthy” and I knew my answer. Braids. I’ll be the one to say I absolutely LOVE braids but I HATE getting them professionally done for so many reasons. The main one being when my scalp gets too dirty the braids gotta go. That is a problem when braids cost 100 and I’m over them in a month 🗿. This pushed me to doing my own braids minus the braiding hair. Every two-three weeks I take my braids out, condition my dry dirty hair, wash the conditioner out, wash my hair, deep condition, and prep my hair for braids. Sometimes I blow dry my hair before I braid it (because I want the length😗) and sometimes I just braid my coily hair as is. This has helped keep my hair healthy and grow it all quarantine. These are the products I’ve used: AFRiCAN PRIDE - Olive Miracle Anti-Breakage Leave-in Conditioner AFRiCAN PRIDE - Olive Miracle Anti-Breakage Growth Oil DOO GRO - Mega Thick Hair Oil ECOCO - Eco Style Argan Oil Gel ECOCO - Eco Style Professional Styling Gel Black Castor & Flaxseed Oil cantu - Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair aussie - Miracle Moist 3 Minute Miracle with Avocado for Dry Hair Repair Maui MOISTURE - Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter Hair Mask Aunt Jackie's - Don't Shrink Elongating Curling Gel

Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp!
I’ve always put coconut oil in my hair, since I was a kid. It was something mom would do for me once a week, with a nice hot oil head massage. I never realized it then, but those hot oil massages helped my scalp health. My hair is about a 2b/3a curl, so it’s pretty frizzy and can be dry, and I’m dandruff prone. I’ve never loved that about it until 5 years ago when I started to be more meticulous about my scalp health. So coconut oil is amazing and I still do it. But now I’ve been mixing other oils and products into my routine. Now my weekly routine is: 1. Mask day - SheaMoisture - Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Leave-In Conditioner start with the scalp, massage it in. Then focus on the ends and make sure it’s absorbed. Focus on other dry areas. Brush through. 2. Wash day - L'ORÉAL - Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair Shampoo followed by L'ORÉAL - Elvive Dream Lengths Long Hair Conditioner And then after rinsing everything out, wring out excess water. Let air dry for 10 minutes. Then add a dollop of L'ORÉAL - Elvive Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream and a dollop of aussie - Miracle Moist 3 Minute Miracle with Avocado for Dry Hair Repair on the palm of your hand and mix the two products before working it through damp hair. (I always bend over flipping my hair forward to go from root to end). Detangle with fingers. 3. Post wash day - maintain scalp health with a small amount of oil mix. I mix coconut oil with black cumin seed oil and add a couple of drops of rosemary and eucalyptus essential oils. 4. Mid week day - another round of oil mix. Add rose hip essential oil if necessary for extra hydration. 5. Same as 4 6. Same as 4 7. Pre mask day - work towards heavier oils, if your hair can take it. Mine LOVES extra virgin olive oil. So I usually mix a little with coconut and black cumin seed oils with a little bit of rosemary and eucalyptus essential oils. Work it through all of the hair, not just the scalp. I usually braid my hair afterwards to keep the oils from rubbing onto my clothing or any furniture. Rosemary is helpful for creating new hair follicles so the hair follicles are denser (since there are more). Eucalyptus is good for combating dandruff. Rose hip is good for deep hydration, which can help combat dandruff since the scalp doesn’t get dry enough to start flaking. Coconut oil, EVOO, black cumin seed oils help hydrate the hair. They can be heavier so if your hair is finer, use avocado, almond, and/or jojoba oils instead. One week of this specific routine with the L’Oréal and Shea Moisture products and my hair is softer and less tangled. So less hair fallout when brushing. My scalp is also really moisturized, so it’s not itchy or dry or starting to flake. Hair journey updates will occur as often as I remember to do so.

Hair Mask that bring life back into my hair
Hair Mask that bring life back into my hair
#amikagiftedme soul food nourishing mask . If your hair is especially dry, this one’s for you! . For some unknown reason, my hair has been getting really dry lately. I haven’t changed much in my haircare routine, so I’m thinking maybe it’s the weather? Either way, it is what it is, and now I have to deal with it somehow. . This mask already had me at the word ‘nourishing’, but the fact that it has jojoba oil really sealed the deal for me. Both my skin and hair love jojoba oil, so I knew this would be good. And you know what, it is good! Just after the first use, my hair felt much softer and hydrated, and stayed that way for a while. I didn’t have to dunk it in oil to keep it from feeling like hay. . It’s quite thick, almost as thick as your average body cream, but it spread through hair with no problems. I let it sit on my hair from around 6-7 minutes, wash it off and don’t follow with conditioner. The mask gives enough hydration. . Let me know what you use to keep your hair hydrated and nourished. I need all the recommendations I can get 😂 . . . . gifted #cheriecreatoramika: - Soulfood Nourishing Mask

This mask is great because it makes your hair feel really soft no matter what your hair is going through. My hair has become really dry from all the bleaching so applying this and focusing on all the blonde really helps nourish all the dry-ness. Package says to leave on for only 2-3 minutes but I leave it on for at least 10.. i feel like you can get the samr amount of softness in 2-3 minutes but I just get so distracted in between masking- i always apply a mask and go do some house chore

Prose Hair Care: First Impressions
Prose Hair Care: First Impressions
This is my first time using Prose and after one wash my hair and scalp feel great! I normally don’t spend much money on shampoo, conditioner, and other hair products. I’m always on a budget and do very minimal styling to my hair each day. Buying from Prose was a BIG splurge for me, all three of my products cast about $80 😬 But I can say that it was money well spent. Much like my skin, my scalp is usually dry and flaky, and finding products that smooth without buildup or weighting my hair down is tricky. With the consultation survey I took on the Prose website, my concerns and goals for my hair were identified pretty accurately. It even uses your zip code factor UV, humidity, and air quality of your area! I was impressed with the survey, and when my order arrived I was super excited for my next hair wash. I chose their new spring scent Prelude, it’s a nice subtle floral smell without being too overpowering. My three products I purchased were the pre-shampoo scalp mask, shampoo, and conditioner. Each one comes with its own instructions detailing how much to use and how long to let it sit in your hair. Overall I am impressed with Prose after my first use. I wash my hair every 2-3 days so it’ll be a few more weeks before I decide wether to re-order or not. Excited to continue using Prose! 🚿🧼😊
