Say goodbye to bumpy skin!!
I’ve been using this duo for the past 2 weeks and the skin on the back of my legs & butt has never been more smooth! These are perfect for anyone who suffers from keratosis pilaris. The scrub is used 2-3x a week on dry skin and then washed off in the shower. Helps exfoliate the skin with a fine physical exfoliant but also includes glycolic and lactic acid to help brighten/smooth and help increase cell turnover. The particles are so fine this never causes any irritation on my skin. The only reason I am not giving the scrub 5 stars is because for the amount I use on my body the price seems kind of steep at 40$ CAD. This body cream is a DREAM. If you had to choose just one of these products I’d go with this. It has a rich creamy texture and has a natural AHA blend to help smooth out any bumpy textures but also gives amazing hydration. I noticed results after using this cream for only a few days! Will 100% repurchase this product. I sometimes will get a bit of acne on my butt/ behind my legs and this has helped clear it up!
ingredient spotlight: glycolic acid
Today I’m going to be comparing three exfoliating products, the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner , SATURDAY SKIN - Pore Clarifying Toner , and the skinfix - Resurface+ Glycolic Renewing Scrub ! I tried a mini of the YTTP and bought a full size before i was even out of the mini, and the Saturday Skin was gifted to me by the brand. I’ve used them about the same amount of times so far. Skinfix gifted me the scrub as well, and I use it twice a week on my body before I shower. Glycolic Acid is the smallest AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that can act as a water-binding agent & when properly formulated, can be a great exfoliant. That’s why you can sometimes see glycolic acid in moisturizers (low on the list of course), but it’s not actually exfoliating your skin in that formula. It’s a great exfoliant as well, which is how I’m going to be using it in these products! Glycolic acid reacts with the upper layer of the skin, weakening the binding properties of the lipids that hold the dead skin cells together! I enjoy using this to exfoliate 1-2x a week at most, as it makes my skin so soft and healthy. I’m really happy to say that I can see this ingredient working well in every product I am reviewing in this post! Function - yttp: exfoliating toner - skinfix: body peel and polish - satskin: exfoliating toner Claims - yttp: smooths and minimizes look of pores, firms skin - skinfix: reduce look of crepey skin; smoothies and softens skin - satskin: smooth and refines skin appearance Price - yttp: $38 - skinfix: $30 - satskin: $30 Texture - yttp: thicker than water but not like a serum - skinfix: soft, gentle scrub that has chemical and physical exfoliants; non irritating and good for my sensitive skin. - satskin: very watery-like serum Overall - yttp: makes my skin very soft and smooth upon application; overnight takes my skin from dull to glowing and isn’t irritating at all. Smells kind of funky but I don’t mind it so much anymore. I really like this and would definitely repurchase it when I’m done! - skinfix: I love using this. It’s not very abrasive but gently buffs away skin without irritating it. Makes my skin so so soft, although not for very long. I would probably not repurchase this, mainly because I want to try out some other products that are similar, but I would totally recommend this. - satskin: my least favorite of these three, but I still like it. It makes my skin pretty dry and doesn’t help add any moisture or retain it at all, which I feel like the YTTP does. It’s not irritating and I would repurchase it, as long as I follow up with a normal moisturizer.

anese - That booty tho. The Original Booty Scrub anese - Calm your tits. These products are INCREDIBLE! I truly thought they were going to be gimmicky as I (admittedly) bought them after seeing a ton of Facebook ads. But oh my gosh, they’re so good! The scrub keeps legs and thighs soft and smooth and the mask keeps the girls moisturized and supple. Would recommend every time!

DRY SKIN ROUTINE
So as someone with extremely dry skin that tends to mildly breakout when I try new products it’s been a challenge to find products that work well with my skin but this collection definitely has helped a lot! The products do not irritate my skin and work together to restore moisture and aid in keeping my skin plump and flake free. There isn’t that added oomph but sometimes it’s nice to just have reliable products that get the job done and create a good base for any other products that one might want to add later such as AHAs or BHAs, serums etc! If you have dry skin I HIGHLY recommend these products. HONORARY MENTION The KP bump eraser body scrub has helped with reducing the appearance of the mild keratosis pilaris i have on my arms and legs. Keratosis pilaris is the red dots that look like strawberry skin which can be very annoying to most people! Although they are still visible it has definitely reduced the appearance so far. Furthermore, this scrub helps decongest pores on the skin through a light chemical peel/microdermabrasion on the body (not face)!

Frank body scrub!! 🤎🤍
frank body - Coconut Coffee Scrub One of the best body scrubs ever!!!! The combination of the coconut and coffee goes really well together and the smell lasts! It leaves your skin feeling really smooth and soft. I have used it two times now and it’s still pretty full! Would definitely suggest! You can find these at Mecca along with other scents but I will definitely be buying some more when I run out! #frankbody
Empty! Coffee scrub
frank body - Coconut Coffee Scrub Another 5 star empty is Frank Body’s Coconut Coffee Scrub. This is a scrub that contains oils as well for the body to become exfoliated, smooth, smell good and glowy. I don’t like many coconut 🥥 products. I’d rather not smell it, but this together with the coffee was just a match made in heaven. So in love 🥰 I use this every time I shower my hair and it never fails to make me excited to want to shower (and not leave the shower). Like a normal coffee scrub, it’s grainy and oily but leaves your legs feeling like you just shaved, really. This was a mini I won in a giveaway and two bags of the full-size are already on their way! $17 for a scrub (at least that’s what I cost here) is a little pricey actually but it made me feel so good that I’m willing to put the money on this. I’ve already recommended this to two of my friends they love it like me 🙊

BEST FOR DRY SKIN & SKIN ISSUES!!!
I was recently diagnosed with dermatographism and my skin is always irritated. My body gets very dry and leaves marks. This has helped by exfoliating so when i put lotion on it sinks in better. It has a very light perfume which is good for my skin. It’s more exfoliant than scent and its not overpowering. I also use it on my hands before a manicure and I love it. TREE HUT - Moroccan Rose Shea Sugar Scrub
LOVE this it smells so good but not too strong and there’s so much for just 8 dollars and it’s so good at exfoliating but not too strong it hurts and it makes my skin feel and look so good!!!

A body scrub that does everything!
📌EMPTY 📌My skin type: Dry/ Combination 📌Product information: Crushed Amethyst Exfoliating Body Polish ($44 for 6.6oz). It has Virgin coconut oil (moisturizing, calming, soothing), Epsom Salt (helps release tension, gives a calm feeling and has magnesium), Crushed Amethyst Gemstones (exfoliates to give soft, luminous skin). People reacting to coconut should patch test before purchasing the full size product. 📌Product texture: Grainy and exfoliation could be controlled by diluting the grains with water. 📌My Experience: I love a good exfoliation. I purchased this as soon as it was released. To be honest, this is a very good exfoliation. It can be too harsh for people with sensitive skin but the best part is you can add a little water to it to make the exfoliation gentle. Since it has epsom salts, sometimes I used to mix it, in my bath for a calming feeling. I really enjoyed this scrub. I would probably repurchase this after I go through my current stash. 📌Like/ Dislike: LIKE 📌Would I recommend it? Yes. Has coconut oil and hence patch test before purchasing the full size. 📌Rating of the product: 4.3/5
herbivore Amethyst, which has crushed up amethyst crystal and epsom salt which is great for relaxing muscles. This is such a lovely body polish, the coconut oil in it leaves your skin nice and moisturised.

Is dry brushing still a thing? 🤔
SKIN TYPE: sensitive/combo/acne PRODUCTS: Necessaire eucalyptus body wash and body exfoliant, Necessaire body lotion, Aesop rind concentrate body balm, EcoTools dry brush I’ve decided to take a long, luxurious bath for this weekend, starting off with dry brushing before I dive into these lovely Necessaire products. I’ve been using the EcoTools dry brush, and it’s pretty great. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand and is light enough to easily navigate over the contours of your body. The only con is that it’s difficult to reach parts of my back with this. I remember when I first started dry brushing, I found it somewhat abrasive but after watching some tutorials (there is a dry brush technique) I’ve managed to go through the motions comfortably without exacerbating my sensitive skin. I found my skin is baby soft after dry brushing, but I haven’t seen any reduction in cellulite or lymphatic drainage, as some holistic beauty gurus claim. Have you tried dry brushing? What was your experience?
A clean beauty line for your body
I’ve been focusing a lot on self care and self love recently. Interestingly, I won the Necessaire line in a giveaway recently. I’ve only ever heard wonderful things about this entire line and on trying them all out, I totally get why. Necessaire is amazing! They focus on personal care products for your body that not only promote cleanliness and health, but also well being in a luxurious setup. I can firmly say that each of these products are amazing. They felt wonderful and work great! I also love that they use a 100% recyclable packaging and work only with FSC-certified vendors. Honestly haven’t tried a single product of their I didn’t love.

I love the fact that this Body Buff Scrub is super scrubby and is very thick and rich with texturizing buffers to help get rid of all the dirt and impurities that your body accumulates throughout the day. It has such a vibrant yellow color to it but what gets me hooked on it the most has to be the scent. It’s seriously dreamy and the amazing fragrance stays with you all day long.

Body Scrub 🌿✨
I think my favorite thing about their line of body scrubs is while it has enough scrub to really exfoliate it leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated. I don’t find myself reaching for lotion afterwards because it already feels like I applied some. It’s packed with a lot of skin softening oils. A huge pet peeve of mine when it comes to body scrubs is too much binder compared to scrub and this isn’t the case here. You’re really going to get a good scrub. It doesn’t have much of a smell which I don’t mind at all. I also deal with eczema and some body products can really cause a flare up but I haven’t experienced it with this product. The African black soap is said to help with cases like mine as well as acne prone, dry, and irritated skin. All in all I’m really impressed with this nourishing scrub. 🖤
The brooklyn botany blueberry scrub smells delicious and has a pretty fine texture so you get a gentle but thorough scrub. I'm trying to get my legs looking somewhat smooth and decent and this scrub leaves them soft and moisturized. The Charcoal Shampoo is AWESOME. It's a gentle shampoo that doesn't strip my hair, but the charcoal detoxifies and cleanses the scalp, and as someone with chronically itchy scalp, this shampoo is a godsend! My scalp feels so clean afterwards and my hair is super soft. I always thought charcoal products were just hype but this is genuinely working for me, so I guess I was wrong! The only downside is I have to wash my bathtub if I use it in the bath as the charcoal leaves a ring around the tub. Still loving the bastide Figue D'Ete body wash. The more I use it the more I'm addicted to the fresh floral scent, and it's super gentle on my sensitive skin too!
Oskia Renaissance Body Scrub
OSKIA - Renaissance Body Scrub 220g It's been a minute since I did a #texturetuesday post, so I thought I'd do one on a product I've been using frequently (and also happens to be gorgeous): the oskia x emma hoareau renaissance body scrub* that has kept my skin smooth and soft this winter. It's a dual-action emulsifying body souffle scrub, meaning it gently exfoliates both physically and chemically; MSM and pink Himalayan salt buff away dead skin, while fermented pumpkin enzymes further break down dry skin cells, leaving the skin soft and renewed. It also contains vitamin e, which is amazing for repairing and protecting the skin, and the starflower oil's fatty acids nourish for smooth, radiant skin from head to toe. Unlike other body scrubs, it's not so coarse that using it feels unpleasant; if anything, it's surprising soft, almost buttery, as it glides along my skin. Between this, an oil shower wash, and body lotion, my skin is basically like "winter dryness? who dat?" It's limited edition, so I'm definitely getting a backup while I can! (220g for £48/$63)

✨What are the claims? Bath & Body works Aromatherapy Vanilla Rose Body Scrub is a gentle enough to use every day, but abrasive enough to get deep down Scrub! It can be used all over the body. It softens & exfoliates the skin while hydrating & leaving a soft scent of vanilla and rose. ✨Rose oil inspires & connects & vanilla encourages the mind to relax. ✨Texture/consistency? A very thick creamy scrub! It’s very smooth and fine. ✨My thoughts? I got this for Christmas 2019 and have been using it about once a week since them during my self care routine in the bath! I’ve absolutely loved this to exfoliate my skin, it doesn’t dry it out or burn either. It’s very gentle and finely milled grains so it isn’t rough! I’m obsessed with Rose & Vanilla anyways so this was perfect for me! It leaves my skin smelling & looking bomb. I would highly recommend for anyone who needs a new body scrub! It’s inexpensive as well, for 9.5oz it’s $16.00 USD. BATH & BODY WORKS - Aromatherapy Rose Vanilla Body Scrub

Bath superstar...SLMD Glycolic Acid Body Scrub
SLMD - Glycolic Acid Body Scrub PRODUCT A physical (grains) and chemical (glycolic and salicylic acids) body exfoliant that is used in the shower. This is best for those who have textured skin or even KP (which is what I used it for). The texture of this scrub is veeeery fine, almost like a microdermabrasion scrub. I found this to be perfect and not too abrasive. The scrub particles are suspended in a white almost creamy base (I emptied this, so I apologize that I do not have an image to go along with this description). OPINION This is a body scrub just how I like them, very gritty and leaves your skin baby soft. I did not find that this irritated my skin at all, though the inclusion of glycolic acid means that it will sting if you have any cuts or scrapes on your body, but I didn’t find that off-putting. After continued use, I definitely saw much smoother, even, and more radiant skin. However, the price tag is pretty high ($35 for 6 oz.), and for that, I will give it 4/5 stars. It is available at some Targets though, which makes it easily accessible for most. *Product was kindly gifted by SLMD for review purposes.

Drugstore in-bath body scrub...
Dove - Exfoliating Body Polish Crushed Macadamia & Rice Milk PRODUCT A gentle physical exfoliant meant to buff away dead skin to reveal softer, smoother skin in just one use. Though I’ve never tested it on my face before, I recommend this only be used for the body. I have the macadamia and rice milk scent and it’s so yummy and comforting. This is a creamy exfoliant with very gentle physical granules that exfoliate without irritating the skin. OPINION I have been through two tubs of this exfoliant and I am still shocked at how much I love it. It really gently buffs the skin, so it is okay to use multiple times per week. I was recommended this from an ig friend, and now I recommend it to a bunch of people around me because its affordable and just that good. The creamy abseils ensures that your skin stays hydrated while exfoliating – which is the key to baby soft skin. This is incredible, especially for the price, and I give it 5/5 stars.

Bath Favorite – Ouai Scalp + Body Scrub
OUAI - Scalp & Body Scrub PRODUCT A sugar-based scalp + body scrub that is meant to gently buff away dead or dry skin and rejuvenate the skin’s surface. The texture is exactly as you’d expect, a grainy paste-like mixture with large sugar crystals (see second picture for close-up). OPINION Ouai is a cult-favorite brand and I had to try this product when it came out because I absolutely love body products. This scrub has really large crystals, which seems intimidating at first, but because they are sugar, they dissolve as you work them in, adding an extra element of hydration. While this is not my absolute favorite scrub, I think it is a really good option and it leaves your scalp and hair very hydrated and shiny – always a plus in my book. This product is more on the luxe side, but I would recommend it and give it a 4/5 stars.
OUAI-Scalp & Body Scrub
🍬 OUAI Scalp & Body Scrub🍬
OUAI - Scalp & Body Scrub About me 🤗 and the product 🍬Skin type/skin tone I have combination skin an my skin tone is warm ivory with a slight reddish discoloration in my cheeks 🧐My skin type for the rest of my body is dry. 🍬Product function The product claims to deeply cleanse the scalp and skin while softening the skin but leaving the skin's defense high using the ingredients of sugar, probiotic blend, and coconut oil 🥥 . It also claims to relieve dry and itchy skin and scalp. 🍬Texture/consistency The texture and consistency of this product is thick and gritty due to the coconut oil and the sugar. 🍬Packaging The packaging is so nice and simple yet pleasing to the eye 👀 just like any other OUAI products. The body is a sturdy glass container. The cap is s white plastic twist on cap and underneath the cap there is a plastic cover to protect to keep the contents inside sanitary. Beauty story📖 🍬Overall experience I was extremely lucky and grateful🥰 to receive this product from @cherie through their box giveaway event last month and I have been using this product for about 2 weeks. I started using this product the night that I got it. The first thing I noticed was the divine scent that the product has!👃🏻 As soon as you open the cap, the scent floods into your senses and it smells like sweet and fragrant rose 🥀 , lychee, cedar wood, and white musk. I used it on both my scalp and my body when I showered. The product is pretty gritty due to the sugars so it was slightly harsh on my body since I wasn't used to such a granulated and rough scrub 😣. The prodct does bubble a bit when scrubbed but not too much. When I used it on my scalp it it did froth up more but again, not huge heaps of soft and fluffy bubbles. It was slightly hard to wash out of my hair since the sugar grains didn't fully melt and dissolve. 🍬Verdict Due to how rough it is I have been only using it 1-2 times a week. It does leave my skin feeling soft and and smeling absolutely amazing but I try to use it minimally so it doesn't damage my skin. I do like the product though since it does meet all the claims. The one thing that I dont know if it does is the relieving itchiness of the skin and scalp since I have neither of those. 🍬Recommend?✅❎ I would absolutely recommend this product if you you're looking for a sugar scrub since it does its job and smells amazing! I would not really recommend this product to people who have extremly sensitive skin though since it may cause pysical irritation. If you really want to try this product though and you have sensitive skin, I would recommend you to use it only once a week😬. 🍬Worth it?💰 This product retails for $38 for 8.8oz/250g. I feel like there are more genltle sugar scrubs out that that may not be as rough and hard on the skin but if you are looking for a scrub that works and does slough off dead skin cells and soften your skin this product is absolutely worth your time and money🤷🏻♀️.
