So Many Textures!
- Self Care Monday - So, I just realized that there are so many different textures in skincare. Well, I already knew that but I hadn’t noticed how many different ones I already have. I’ve decided to put together my own little list of different skincare product textures. Here’s the Scoop!..... - Balms - A Balm is a combination of Butters, Oils and Waxes used in Skincare as the base to which essential oils or other active ingredients are added. - Creams - Creams have similar ingredients as a Balm, however, they also contain water. This means that they need preservatives as an anti-microbial to avoid the cream from going off, unlike Balms, which do not contain water. - Gel - A Gel is usually transparent when cream is not. Gels are usually oil free and disappear when applied. A Gel is like a cross between a solid and a liquid but does not behave like either. They are actually closer to liquids than solids because they are mostly water. - Foam - A Foam is simply a conglomeration of tiny bubbles (thin liquid membranes that entrap air) Foams can be very lacy or it can be very rich and dense. Foams tend to use less Surfactants (the cleansing chemicals used to remove dirt and oils from your skin) so they’re ideal for acne-prone or sensitive skin. Well, those are just a few to list. I mostly use these three types in my daily Skincare routines. My favorite would be Foaming Face Washes. They are so gentle and easy to apply and rinse off. Thank you for reading and sticking with me through all my my articles! I had fun making this video. I enjoy looking at all the different textures. Stay safe and well!! 🇧🇷 Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream 🇧🇷
My body gets pretty dry and itchy after I shave and in the winter, so need a good body lotion for them to help hydrate and nourish my legs. I thought this was a Brazilian company, but turns out they’re based in the USA so I was little shocked by that since their Insta bio saying “Skin-worshipping Brazilian Beauty.” I think it’s deceiving, but maybe that’s just me. Anyways, onto the product. I’ve seen this company and especially this SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream all over Instagram! It seems like everyone and their mom loves this product 😂 Most of the posts I see about them seem to be PR though. I got this little mini as part of a Sephora Favorites set at Sephora. The texture is a luxurious body cream that spreads easily and sinks in rather quick, but leaves behind a greasy feeling on me. I’ve also noticed it has glitter specks in it, but that just be something weird I’ve noticed. The smell is very strong, so would recommend staying away from this if you are sensitive to fragrances, but it’s a summery scent with key notes of salted caramel, pistachio and vanilla. The fragrance family is described as warm and spicy and the scent type as warm and sweet gourmands. The company says the formula is infused with caffeine-rich guaraná and a Brazilian blend of skin-loving ingredients to help tighten and smooth the look of skin. I use this as a daily body lotion (like days I don’t shave my legs) because it’s not moisturizing enough for me to use when I shave my legs. I find it’s nice as a daily body lotion in the spring or summer when my skin isn’t too dry or else it’s not enough for me. The scent is also incredibly strong and I shower at night so pointless since I’m not going anywhere and don’t want my sheets smelling like this. Honestly, I think it’s overhyped. It’s $20 for 2.5 oz / 75 mL or $45 for 8.1 oz / 240 mL! Like I don’t know how anyone can justify spending that much on body lotion that you’re going to fly through quickly, but that might just be me and my budget. I don’t notice anything special while using this lotion, especially no spectacular moisturizing effects, besides the scent. Personally I don’t really care about my lotions being scented so not something I’m looking for. I also don’t like how they say seem to insinuate they’re Brazilian when they’re really USA-based, I’d rather support a real Brazilian business that sells Brazilian products! Maybe I’m just overthinking it or reading it wrong, but this product is just meh for me. Don’t see the hype around this product 🤷🏼♀️ . #cheriepartners

An addition and a swap 😌
Ever since starting tretinoin almost two months ago (wowww I had no idea I was almost two months in) ive had not only a small skincare routine but one that was rotating products in and out. My dermatologist put me on the bare minimum for using tret but of course I had to upgrade myself to the bare minimum plus and it’s been going very well. With that being said about a week or two ago I made an addition and a swap to my routine. The cerave daily moisturizing lotion, which is the addition is now my night moisturizer. I usually put two layers on maybe two or three minutes after applying Tret and it has such a light yet moisturizing feel to it. This moisturizer hasn’t broken me out as some people claim it has so I’m really happy about that because cerave is somewhat expensive for me (I’m a whole unemployed student out here 😂) and I know the way I’m using it, it will probably last a while. The product I swapped was the garnier toner I had been using for micellar water. Buying the toner was pretty much a mistake and I didn’t realize it was toner until I was looking for it in the Cherie products and I saw that it was indeed a toner 😗 This new micellar water that I’m using is so nice! It has glycerine which is a humectant so it draws in moisture and you can really tell. I use it as my face wash in the morning (I use cleocin t 1% after this so it thoroughly cleans my face) and I use it as a first cleanse at night, because to my surprise you can use micellar water as a first cleanse 😭. With my tretinoin journey my main goal is to keep a smaller routine that doesn’t have so many overwhelming steps, letting my skin breathe and moisturizing my skin because tret can be drying if you don’t have the right products to keep you moisturized. I feel like with my current routine it tends to that so I’m really happy about it GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
How I Saved My Skin
I never had acne until I graduated high school and it was caused from a chemical burn that I got from some of the products that I have been using for years. After changing my routine several times I finally found some thing that not only keeps my acne away but helps clear any scarring or dark spots that I have as a result of it. I love every single one of these products, they are all affordable and actually work. I have sensitive skin and eczema around my eye and mouth area. My skins never felt better

Skincare solutions for stressed-out skin
There is a tonne of reasons that your skin becomes ‘stressed’ - dehydration, exposure to UV, harmful pollutants, free radicals... When your cortisol levels are too high, it does more than throw your metabolism out of whack and induce insatiable sugar cravings. It also wreaks havoc with your skin. Stripping it back to basics, the simplest things you can do to keep your skin happy are sleep, exercise and relax, what else can you do? Sometimes, products can begin to irritate your skin during a time of extreme stress, so bringing your routine back to basics and eliminating any products with excess fragrance, colors or dyes, letting your complexion breathe without foundation for at least 6 to 8 hours a day. It’s a good time to give your skin a little break. I actually don’t have a major skin concern, and I just feeling like my skin is not as good as it could be at this time. Sometimes it gets sensitive and dull. I don’t want to use anything too harsh that would irritate or dry out my skin further at this time. I typically pairing my routine way back and adding simple, hard-working solutions. (Eliminate any products that may cause irritation.) I'd add an emollient moisturizer into my lineup. CeraVe is always my first choice, it’s not going to be too heavy or rich, it just bring back the barrier protection of my skin. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin I also use retinol products as I menstioned before, retinol increases the rate of cell turnover in the skin, making it great for a variety of concerns. If you got Dull skin like me, here I highly recommend SkinCeuticals’ C E Ferulic 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum FAST FACTS: ● BEST FOR: Dry, normal, and sensitive skin ● USES: Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, brightens complexion, reduces free radical damage ● POTENTIAL ALLERGENS: Ascorbic acid, propylene glycol, triethanolamine ● ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: 15% L-ascorbic acid, 1% alpha-tocopherol, 0.5% ferulic acid ● PRICE: $166 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ This is quite simply an amazing serum. I don't understand the fuss about the smell (heavy artificial fragrances are much worse in my opinion). The liquid definitely had a slight scent, but it wasn’t unpleasant, and it dissipates quickly. I patted the product into my skin. At first it left a tackiness behind, but after a minute or two it was completely absorbed. C E Ferulic is gentle and I had no issues applying it every morning. It gives me an underlying glow that gets better and better with time. So many Dermatologists trust *and* recommend this, for the simple reason that it works. It does what it claims. There is a ton of scientific research and data behind this product that you could find online. I can’t stress enough how much I love this product. By using period, my skin was visibly smoother, plumper, and brighter. This is a game changer for me.. Now if only it was a tad cheaper! 😬
🌟My Skincare Journey: Adult Acne ❕❕💫
Pimples don’t stop at puberty. And I learned the hard way 😭. I was lucky to not have had a lot of breakouts in my teens. But it hit me when I turned 20 (2 years ago!). All the insecurities I thought I confronted when I was in high school, all came flooding back. 😳 🌱2018: Painful Acne🌱(2nd slide, left pic) I don’t have many photos of myself from 2018 because I was so insecure about my skin. I would pick at it and avoid mirrors at all costs. And at times it even hurt to touch my face. The pic shown, was me on a VERY good skin day and one of the only photos I have of myself without makeup in 2018. 🌞What I wish I knew: just because my skin is having trouble, DOES NOT equal needing more products! it’s all about using the right ones. STOP over-exfoliating! ESPECIALLY with harsh acids everyday. try not to pick! (Easier said than done) your worth is not defined by your skin! (ALSO easier said than done) SUNSCREEN!!!!! 🌱2019:Scarring🌱(2nd slide, pics on the right) Finally seeing results in my skin! But I wasn’t prepared for the scarring and texture. What made it even more obvious was the makeup I was using. It also dried out my skin (which was already flaky w/ dry patches & oily at the same time😭). My skin also seemed dull and tired—which was probably to do with the anxious over-cleansing. I was terrified my acne would come back! 🌞What I wish I knew: treat your makeup like your skincare. ingredients are so important! don’t cleanse in the AM like you do in the PM. you’re stripping your skin and increasing the overproduction of oil=oily, flaky, dry MADNESS 🥴 be kind to yourself! you’re seeing results 💓 🌱2020: Feeling better, still learning I’ve FINALLY found a routine that’s helped me. And I am no longer afraid of the mirror. And TBH I never should’ve been! Confidence comes with time and while no one wAnTs acne, it is normal and we should de-stigmatize acne. We shouldn’t treat ourselves (or let others) poorly because of it. Acné routine am and pm
my acne prone skin care routine
Fine Line Patches ✨Review✨
I bought two packages of the Freeman Micro Darts Pro for fine lines at Walmart a few weeks ago. I have very few fine lines but I’m still incredibly self conscious about them. The main one is right between my eyes, in the dead center of my face. I did my normal night routine; CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser, CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, CeraVe Vitamin C Serum, and Jade Roller. I then applied one patch to the fine line between my eyes and the other on a line on the right side of my mouth. There are tiny little micro darts on the patches and it felt like a little tickle. I left them on overnight and removed at 5AM when I woke up. There’s no noticeable difference (which I wasn’t expecting immediate results anyhow) and there wasn’t any residual serum left over. I’ll be adding these micro dart fine line patches to my skincare regimen and will continue to post updates. Overall, I’d rate them a 4/5- rating at a 4 for now until I notice any changes. Easy to apply, they stay in place, easy to remove, no yucky residue after removal, and easy removal. HELP!! What actives should I be using?
I’m really struggling to figure out which actives I should be using... which means I’m not sticking to any one in particular, just jumping around from product to product whenever I feel like it. I know I need to be consistent, I just don’t know which one(s) to do. What would be the best to use/combine? Should I use one type in the AM with sunscreen and another at night? Currently I’m using - Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil to remove makeup CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin as face wash DERMA•E - All Sport Performance Face Sunscreen SPF 30 as sunscreen and I recently switched to CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion from the CeraVe cream in the tub. I also have CeraVe - Renewing SA Lotionbut I’m hesitant to use it with my other actives. Any advice is appreciated, I’m really struggling 🥺
A 2 Week Update
After changing out my cleanser, toner, and moisturizer for the suggestions made by this app (and from reading your posts and watching Hyram’s videos) my skin is looking smoother and better than ever! I have sensitive skin that’s also combination and I’m allergic to some skincare ingredients and fragrances. I used to use CLINIQUE - Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula , CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 3 for Combination Oily Skin , CLINIQUE - 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula , and CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator (where the oily skin moisturizing gel was not good on my dry skin) as my nightly routine with HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub once a week. I found that first it worked to clear me up, but then my sensitivities came out. I still had little bumps come up on my forehead, my dermatitis was coming out on my nose, chin, and temple. I knew I had to change it up, but was afraid to break from the system I was so used to. I did the skincare scan and was recommended to try a glycolic acid toner for my acne. I picked up The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution and CeraVe - Renewing SA Lotion to help with my problem areas. I ended up using both products in more areas than just my face (as you can see in one of my previous posts). I wanted to change up my cleanser, and wanted the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin, but it’s still sold out everywhere unless I want to spend $40 CAD and shipping to get it from Amazon. I watched Hyram’s CeraVe dupes video and found the Aveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser . I was a bit apprehensive where it has fragrance, but it’s been good! Ooh, and I still use HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub once a week! My skin purged for a few days and now I’ve got the remains of 2 pimples barely left on my face, my red patches of irritated skin on my face are gone! All I’ve got to do now is to keep from touching my face (which is more on my mind due to the current state of the world) and stop popping pimples (which is a much easier feat where they’re minimal now!) My mom has even hopped on The Ordinary and Yo Glow train lol Let me know if you have any further suggestions or questions! ❤️

Say goodbye to bumpy skin!!
I’ve been using this duo for the past 2 weeks and the skin on the back of my legs & butt has never been more smooth! These are perfect for anyone who suffers from keratosis pilaris. The scrub is used 2-3x a week on dry skin and then washed off in the shower. Helps exfoliate the skin with a fine physical exfoliant but also includes glycolic and lactic acid to help brighten/smooth and help increase cell turnover. The particles are so fine this never causes any irritation on my skin. The only reason I am not giving the scrub 5 stars is because for the amount I use on my body the price seems kind of steep at 40$ CAD. This body cream is a DREAM. If you had to choose just one of these products I’d go with this. It has a rich creamy texture and has a natural AHA blend to help smooth out any bumpy textures but also gives amazing hydration. I noticed results after using this cream for only a few days! Will 100% repurchase this product. I sometimes will get a bit of acne on my butt/ behind my legs and this has helped clear it up!
Skin Concerns: Bumpy Skin
I have suffered from Keratosis Pilaris (KP) for many years, but I did not know what it was until recently. It is essentially a condition that makes your hair follicles on certain parts of your body get clogged with keratin. Therefore, I constantly have little bumps all over the front and back of my thighs. It is noticeable and causes me to constantly pick at my legs, so I knew I had to find something to combat it! The main thing most people (and my dermatologist) recommend is putting on a lotion that contains leave-on exfoliants that clear your pores of the keratin plugs. I have tried a few over the years, and these are my favorites! For a cost-effective option I would definitely go with the Gold Bond Rough & Bumpy Skin Lotion. It works very well and comes in a huge tub! Now, all of these lotions are pretty thick to apply, but this one is probably the thickest and the one that absorbs the worst. But, it is so much cheaper than the other options so I definitely still recommend it. The other two are a little thinner, but are about 5x more expensive than the Gold Bond (~$50). They both work very well as well! The key with these types of products is to use them consistently. If you just use it once a week it is not going to have the best results, you need to use it over time to see the bumps disappear!

SUMMER VIBES / BEACH
Quickly want to talk about some products I am loving this summer! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀🌊 @theisleofparadise Self Tanning Drops in Light: So throughout the year, I always wear sunscreen, especially now during the summer months. But I use a higher SPF on my face compared to my body because I really like getting dark in the summer. But since I have acne prone skin, I make sure to keep my face as safe possible from the UV rays! Therefore my face is never as dark as my body and I need something to help even that out. So far I am loving this product, I mix 4 drops in with my moisturizer and the next morning, I wake up with such a beautiful glow! I will definitely re-purchase this but once I finish this the next brand I want to try is Tan Luxe before I do! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ 🌊 @soldejaneiro Bum Bum Cream & Coco Cabana Cream: Now I know most of you love the smell of the Bum Bum Cream over Coco Cabana, but I’m the opposite way around haha. I love the smell of both, but something about Coco Cabana, it’s AMAZING! I love the smell, the texture, how well it works, just everything! I also love the mini size, makes it super easy to carry with me to the beach and the Lord knows I need something to moisturize once I get out of the ocean lol. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀🌊 @supergoop Glow Screen: I normally wouldn’t wear this to the beach, I would wear this more so If I’m running out on a few errands or meeting up with my friends for drinks/food If I don’t want to wear makeup! This already gives a beautiful glow and when I’m at the beach, I sweat a lot and I’m in the ocean most of the time (bc I’m a fish lol) so it’s not necessary for beach days! But this is one product that I am loving so far this summer! I love the way it makes my skin look and feel. 🤍 What’s your favorite product to use during the summer months?
🥥Coconut Heaven in a Jar
🥥SOL DE JANEIRO~Brazilian Bum Bum Cream Claims~ That it instantly hydrates your skin leaving it soft, smooth and firmer. Also leaves your skin with a soft shimmer. 📦 Packaging~ I love the bright yellow color & easy to store recyclable jar. 🔑 Key ingredients~ Coconut Oil~ Helps soften & moisture your skin. Guarana~Supports circulation, smooths skin Açaí~Super fruit that helps keep skin looking & feeling young. Cupuacu Butter~ Helps lock in moisture & support skins natural elasticity 🥥Texture/Smell~ This formula is thick & creamy, fast absorbing & doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy/sticky. The smell is a strong coconut 🥥 smell & it lasts on your skin all day. It reminds me of laying on the beach using tanning lotion. 💰 Value~ $20.00 for 2.5 ounces mini size & $45.00 for 8.1 ounce jar My opinion~ I got one as a birthday gift from Sephora & was lucky enough to get it again in a subscription box. This is a great summer Lotion. It leaves my skin feeling soft as rose petals, nourished & smelling like a tropical heaven. I didn’t noticed any firming as it claims but I love the smell & the way it leaves my skin feeling. I give this 5/5 ⭐️ and think it has lived up to its hype & highly recommend it for anyone that is looking for a summer lotion & loves the smell of coconuts. SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream 🥥SOL DE JANEIRO-Coco Cabana Body Cream Claims~ Instantly Hydrates your skin & leaves it moistured up to 72 hours after 1st use. 📦 Packaging~ Love the turquoise color & the easy to store recycleable ♻️ jar. 🔑 Key Ingredients~ Coconut Oil~ Helps Soften, Condition & Mostrize the skin. Cupuacu Butter~ Helps lock in moisture & support skins natural elasticity 🥥Texture/Smell~ It’s thin almost like a gel consistency. After applying, it left my skin feeling Tacky/sticky which lasted a while then subsided. The original formula didn’t do this. The coconut smell is not as strong as the bum bum cream & doesn’t linger as long on skin. 💕 Love~ I love that this product is 🌱 Vegan. Also it is Free from Gluten, parabens, phthalates, formaldehydes. 💰 Value~$20.00 for a 2.5 ounce mini & $45.00 for a 8.1 oz jar 🥥My opinion~ This is not the original formula they revamped it. I got the original formula as a Sephora birthday gift & the second in a subscription box. It claims that it leaves your skin hydrated for 72 hours, It did leave my skin super soft but I had to reapply after bout 6 hours to get the full effect. The original version did a much better job of hydrating & leaving your skin feeling nourished & didn’t leave your skin feeling tacky. The original formal was well worth the price but this version is not. I give it 3/5 ⭐️ SOL de Janeiro - Coco Cabana Body Cream With New Coconut Scent and Plush Moisture

Unicorn Body Butter
TRULY - Unicorn CBD Whipped Body Butter This is such a cute and fun body butter. The packaging is amazing. I love the jar that it comes in. The texture is very lightweight. It smells amazing and looks even better. It's so pretty I didn't want to use it. The only downfall is that is sometimes feels a little sticky on my skin. Other than that, it's a beautiful addition to your shelfie.
Heavenly body butter
TRULY - Unicorn CBD Whipped Body Butter I very sadly recently finished this body butter and would like to share some thoughts 💕it smells divine, very fruity and sugary. My husband says I smell like fruit loops which I don’t mind at all lol 💕it’s absolutely gorgeous to look at! The packaging is top notch, the gold lid is heavy and feels very luxurious 💕the texture is whipped but it melts into the skin like an oil. I warm it up in my hands before applying Just one thing I struggled with was it’s quite thick, it was hard to spread over my body because of how thick it is. Also it takes quite a While to absorb into skin and leaves you greasy for a couple hours, these weren’t huge dealbreakers for me because I just apply before bed and when I wake up I smell good and have super soft skin!

Necessaire Body Lotion and Scrub
Just got these new products from Necessaire and I’m obsessed! First of all the packaging is gorgeous! The cream sinks into the skin so well and does not feel greasy! My skin also feels so moisturized after using this and I like that this is fragrance free cause it doesn’t irritate my skin. This scrub is great at removing dead skin cells and makes my skin feel so soft and refreshed. I love the eucalyptus scent, it makes me feel like I’m at the spa when I use it :)
What’s on my Vanity?
Happy Thursday🤎 Updated the corner of my vanity this week with some of the products I’ve been reaching for lately! Everything you see here get’s a 10/10 for me! [Mini Reviews] ☁️ Necessaire Body Lotion (Fragrance-Free): I briefly mentioned in a previous post that I’m loving this body lotion so far and I stay true to that. I am enjoying this lotion so much, I already know I will be repurchasing soon & stocking up on maybe 2-3 bottles! Some key ingredients I love in this are; - Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) - Vitamins A, C & E - Omega’s 6 and 9 - Shea Butter - Jojoba Oil - Marula Oil ☁️ Summer Friday’s CC Me Serum: The hype is real ladies & gents! I am ADDICTED to trying new Vitamin C Serums & let me tell you this is now my new favorite! The price point lowkey kills me but you know what, for someone like me who suffers from dark spots/hyperpigmentation... if my skin continues to improve the way it is now, I will 10000% repurchase! ☁️ The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm: The hype is real (part 2)... At least, it is for me! I truly love this cleansing balm! I don’t wear a lot of makeup anymore so I personally find that it does a great job at removing whatever it is I put on that day! This balm is VERRRY gentle (which my acne prone skin loves) If my skin is ever irritated, I know I can depend on this to soothe my skin down! (However, if you wear heavy/full glam makeup daily, you may want to try a different cleansing balm) ☁️ Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant: My HOLY GRAIL👏🏼 I use this 2-3x a week and omg my skin has improved SO much! My skin is still not where it used to be but I know I will get there & that’s mainly because I know this exfoliant will get me there! It does a great job at minimizing blemishes /preventing new ones from forming! Love that. ☁️ Briogeo Scalp Revival: Still using this 1-2x a week since my scalp gets super itchy quite fast! As I said before in a previous post, I love this treatment a lot! I also love that this does NOT make my scalp feel oily at all. ☁️ Purito Comfy Water Sun Block SPA 50+ PA++++: I LOVE this mineral sunscreen so so much! If you are acne prone like me I HIGHLY suggest you invest in this sunscreen over the unscented centella! The unscented centella SPF broke me out like crazy (I believe that’s simply because it’s a chemical sunscreen, but I should have known better) Stick to mineral sunscreens if you tend to break out! Spot any of your favs? Nécessaire - The Body Lotion SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Serum DIPTYQUE - Mimosa Candle

CeraVe-Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
Cerave Moisturizing Lotion - Review
CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Really good for oily/combo skin! I have combo skin and this moisturizer is very light but moisturizing enough. The texture is very light-weight and non-sticky, it absorbs really quickly into the skin. Pairs really well with the niacinamide or the mandelic acid from The Ordinary for people with acne-trouble skin. Also, this lotion is really great for the body! In conclusion, this lotion is a really good, beginner-friendly and affordable moisturizer.

Breaking The Myth: Glycolic Acid & Retinoids
So there’s a thing going around that you shouldn’t mix glycolic acid (AHA) with Retinol (retinoids). ✨ (I will post links to medical studies done and their proven results) ✨ I will say that I have experimented with this for a few weeks and my skin has cleared up tremendously! I just incorporated the glycolic acid but my skin has been fine. I DO NOT have: Sensitive skin Allergies ACTIVE OPEN BREAKOUTS (few minor bumps here and there) Dry Skin (I’m more combo) ”Active New Skin” (I have been using Differin Gel for 3 months Glycolic acid for 2 weeks. My skin is adjusted to actives) If you have any of those this might cause you irritation. 🚨I use this once-twice a week to treat small hyperpigmentation issues and texture irregularities.🚨 Why do professionals not recommend them together? Many professionals see that people experience irritation, sensitivity, and other issues. There’s also a concern that the PH level of glycolic acid will disrupt retinol. This research is outdated and done in a Petri dish NOT skin. There is room for irritation, which you would still experience.. using them separately! I also would not recommend if you suffer from any other issues as stated above, or to introduce everything slowly! My routine: Cleanser philosophy - Nature In A Jar Gentle Detoxifying Cleanser With Agave Amazing gentle cleanser that helps prevent inflammation. (I also recommend CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser) Tone The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Can be drying, I recommend using a hydrating cleanser. Serum: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 🚨Skip this is you’re new to this routine🚨 Treat: SKINCEUTICALS - A.G.E. Eye Complex for Dark Circles HG for dark circles! DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel HG FOR ANY ACNE ! Moisturize: nooni - Applebutter Lip Mask Leaves my lips very smooth CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Very gentle and great for this routine Cliganic - 100% Rosehip Oil I love to mix this in as a extra layer of Vitamin A and to keep my acne at bay. I only add 2 drops to my moisturizer. Links for research: Chandrashekar, B., Ashwini, K., Vasanth, V. & Navale, S.
