Easy Job Interview Glam
When it comes to my ~professional~ glam, I like to keep things minimal but still make sure to contour and highlight the appropriate areas – the goal is a soft glow that accentuates your features without looking too much. I think it’s also important to apply powder, especially if you’re like me and have oily skin and are prone to sweat when you get nervous lol. Keeping shine in mind, I like to opt for mattifying complexion products and powder formulas when it comes to bronzer, blush, and highlight - but these days, my favorite bronzers and blushes are cream formulations. For the eyes, I think all you need is a little sweep of mascara and/or liner depending on what you’re into. To really make them pop and elevate your look, I like to go in with a neutral eyeshadow to give the eyes more definition and make myself look more put together. And for the finishing touch, all you need is your favorite lipstick. I feel like any color goes and your glam can be a great way to let your personality shine through. These are the products I use: REVLON - Photoready Candid Glow Moisture Glow Anti-Pollution Foundation MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick – for a natural-looking contour, I like to warm the product up on the back of my hand and then I pick it up from there with an angled bronzer brush. MERLE NORMAN - Cheek Crayon - like with the contour stick, I recommend applying creme blushes to your hand first and picking it up from there. This gives you more control when you apply it and really helps you build it up to that natural-looking flush. I also love to add a little to my eyes to sub in for eyeshadow. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder – if you're on the oilier side like me, I've found that you need to apply this powder all over and do so about 2-3 times. It's a little annoying, but it creates such a gorgeous glow that you really look airbrushed and it's totally worth it. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Butter Highlighter – make sure you dab the excess off or you’ll look ~crazy~ glowy. I learned this the hard way. Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick

Double Eyeliner 🖤
I love the double eyeliner look, especially for hooded eyes like mine! Bought some new face makeup to try and get that flawless base! My opinion on a couple are below! Jouer - Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer Color: Chiffon 🖤 So far I love this concealer! Very high coverage and didn’t crease under my eyes. Even covered some retinization (dry, red spots caused by skin getting used to using retinol treatment) that have been under my eyes. The dark spots under my eyes are still slightly visible. I’ve struggled with dark spots since childhood and have yet to find an effective, cake-free way to cover them completely! If you have experienced this or have any ideas let me know! FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick Color: Amber 🖤 First cream contour I have used (I usually just stick with bronzer) and I loved it! Color was a great match and the formula was easy for me to blend. The only issue I had was after walking around outside in the hot sun (sweating) for an hour with my makeup on, when I got home I noticed my skin had tiny red bumps where I had placed the contour. Not sure why this happened, but it did clear up within 2 days.

Practicing My Wedding Makeup!
I’m getting married in two weeks - ahhhhh!!! My fiancé and I are having a very small ceremony and dinner with close friends/family on 9/6. Next summer we’ll have a big celebration when things are safer (hopefully). I’m going to be doing my own hair and makeup. I’ve practiced a couple times, but this look is the highest contender (judge being my very picky and natural beauty-loving fiancé). I wanted a look that provided soft definition and glowy skin. I’ve reviewed a few of these on Cherie before, and recommend all of these items. Face: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer raved about this before, great for all skin types, somewhat covers pores, extends wear of makeup URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation lightweight, medium-buildable coverage, natural matte finish (my shade is 30NN) e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer excellent coverage, not drying, stays put (my shade is “light peach” HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4 this was limited edition from 2018, but you can get a very similar bronzer from their permanent line, and the finishing powders are sold as singles too. Provides a bit of luminosity and gives the skin an ethereal finish. Hourglass products are expensive, but worth it. tarte - Hamptons Weekender Contour Palette I used the bronzer and blush from this. Great palette for fair-medium skin tones. Bronzer leans more neutral. Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand i used the shade “spotlight” (silvery/pinky). It looks melted into my face! It’s absolutely stunning but a bit pricey ($38), so I’d give it 4.5/5 stars. Eyes: persona - Identity Eyeshadow Palette high-quality, buttery shimmers, creamy mattes. MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer I use this all the time. It’s great for the price! I did apply some random false lashes from Shop Miss A but I can’t find which ones. Mascara would work just fine. Lips: I forgot to feature my lip products in the flat lay, so I tagged them in my “selfies”! I used Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick in “Pillowtalk” with lilah b. - Luxe Lip Oil Mini Duo shade “b elegant” on top. Pillowtalk is a my lips but better shade (pink-ish) and “b elegant” lip oil is a nude gloss. Love the color combo!! There are NO filters on these photos, by the way! Photos of myself taken in natural lighting. #CheriePartner

My go to makeup products for almost every look
e.l.f. - e.l.f. Contour Palette MORPHE - Glamabronze Face & Body Bronzer NYX - Holographic Halo Finishing Powder L'ORÉAL - Hydra Perfecte Perfecting Loose Face Powder I don’t really have a con for elf and morphe products, but I do have a con for the NYX Halo powder and the L’ORÉAL face powder. For the nyx halo powder, since it’s a highlighter it does leave behind some behind when you remove it and it gets everywhere when you apply as well. And the L’Oréal face powder it’s a good setting powder, but it does have a small amount of flashback. tarte - Shape Tape Stay Spray Vegan Setting Spray pixi - Glow Mist Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer I love all three products. The hydro grip primer hype is really and I didn’t believe it until I started using it. Charlotte Tilbury - Magic Foundation Flawless Long-Lasting Coverage SPF15 COLOURPOP - No Filter Matte Concealer tarte - Shape Tape Concealer All these products are good, the Charlotte Tilbury foundation is medium coverage and it is buildable and it’s one of the best formulations I’ve tried so far. The Colourpop and tarte concealer are very amazing concealer. They both are high coverage concealers, but they do cake up/crease easily so you got to set it real good to not have it move around. JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Thirsty Eyeshadow Palette the Balm cosmetics - Alternative Rock Vol. 1 -- Face Palette #Lunarskies Cosmetics - Eyeshadow palettes[products]#[FiveStars] I do like Jeffree’s formula even though he has done handful of things, but the pigment and formula is there in all of his products. The Balm Eyeshadow and Face palette is my go to for the natural everyday glam look. Let me tell you something about Lunarskies Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes. They are the best small cosmetics business I have tried and invested my money in and their palettes are to die for. JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Velour Liquid Lipstick JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS The Gloss DOSE OF COLORS - Two Moods Lipstick Duo COLOURPOP - Big Box of Lippie Stix COLOURPOP - Lippie Pencil I love all these products, but my only issue, and it’s a thing with all matte liquid lipsticks, is that they are slightly drying, but you can easily fix that with some lip balm before hand. COLOURPOP - Colour Outside the Eyeliner Kit COLOURPOP - Limited Edition Star Crossed Colours Crème Gel Liner Vault Beauty Creations - 3D Silk Lashes tarte - Maneater Mascara thrive causemetics - Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara™ I don’t have an issue with these products. I love them all.

My Process for Flawless Foundation
While I’m no makeup expert, I’ve found what makes me feel confident and beautiful. Here’s my process for achieving flawless foundation: Maintaining a healthy base is absolutely key to flawless foundation. Start off with a clean and moisturized face. Listen to your skin and watch how it reacts to products. Focus on skincare so that when you apply foundation, it’ll glide on in a breeze. If interested, I’ve described my skin routine previously for Cherie but if you’d like a spoiler, buy DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel After my face is prepped, I apply MAYBELLINE - Cover Stick Concealer directly onto any dark spots and redness. The green color helps to offset discoloration but it’s important to lightly blend it out afterwards so that the color isn’t too harsh and can be covered by foundation. And then comes actual foundation: You’re going to want to do research...and lots of it before you find your perfect fit. I’m not even sure if I’ve found mine, seeing that I mix two different foundations to satisfy my coverage and skin tone needs. There’s sheer, medium, and full coverage foundations so be sure to understand what you’re searching for. Look past just the labeling and what foundations claim that they’ll do. Go the extra mile and research the ingredients too. Try out different shades with specific undertones. Keep in mind that you may be a different color in the summer compared to the winter. I mixNARS - Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation and have come to be satisfied with the outcome (although I’d love to only spend $$$ on one foundation). So, yes, it’s a journey and a long one that even I’m still on, but it’s one worth going on. I contour with KKW BEAUTY - Crème Contour & Highlight Sets and honestly I love these. The contour colors aren’t too light or too dark for me and glide on smoothly, perfect to blend. I use the typical beauty blender for my foundation and wet it with water as most do to prevent excess product from soaking in. Make sure to gently dab instead of just rubbing foundation in and use product conservatively. I use e.l.f. - Beautifully Bare Blending Brush to blend my highlight contour and really like it because of the brush’s precision. I can’t stress to you enough how important it is to consistently change your beauty blender and clean your makeup brushes. This goes along with protecting and maintaining skincare. I use MAC - Brush Cleanser and a brush cleansing pad that I bought from Amazon. I simply soak the cleanser onto each individual brush in a bowl, brush it over the cleansing pad, rinse it off with water, and leave the brush to air dry. It may take some time but it’s totally worth it every so often. Trust me, your skin will thank you.

CREAM CONTOUR TIPS AND TRICKS! #cheriepartner
Contour on fleek! Follow tips And tricks I’ve learned for a great contour! It seems like highlighting and contouring are here to stay and not really going out of style. It’s been a while, but do you know how to properly contour? 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫 _________________ Let’s talk about cream contour products and my favorite ones! UOMA BEAUTY - Double Take Contour Stick My go to! This contour stick has blown away all of my other favorites. + It’s creamy and pigmented. + Not patchy. + Easy to blend! + comes in shades for all different skin tones! Some other favorites of mine: KKW BEAUTY - Crème Contour & Highlight Sets 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐚𝐛𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫! Follow along with photos above! ① LIGHT HANDED— build up your pigment. you always want to start off with a little bit of product. You can easily build up your contour if you want it darker, but it’s more work to make it lighter if you start too heavy handed. If you look at my photo above, I only used that much product on each side of my cheek to contour my cheeks and forehead! ② PLACEMENT — where to apply. Specifically for the cheeks, you’ll want to start right at the top of your ear and go diagonally down towards the corner of your mouth. Tap just a tiny bit of product right at the top near your ear and basically in your hair line. Do not bring the product all the way down your cheeks yet. When blending out with a sponge or brush you will do this. ③ Get it done! — BLEND IT OUT. To blend it out take your pick of a sponge or brush. I like to use a damp beauty blender. I pinch my beauty blender together to make a line and use precise and soft tapping/bouncing motion to blend out. ALWAYS BLEND UP above your cheek bones. Envision where you want your contour to be and blend up from there. You’ll also want to blend into the hair line. While you blend you can bring the sponge down towards the direction of the corner of your mouth, but do not blend your contour all the way down!! Stop about half way or where the center of your pupil is. Even if your cheek bones aren’t prominent you will still be able to feel where your cheekbones are at to help guide you for where to blend out your contour. ④ finishing touches — perfect it! I personally like to make sure my contour is nice and soft, but noticeable. Depending on how strong of a contour I want, I’ll add more product and blend out more. If it looks good I’ll make sure it’s not patchy or give it a crisp like with foundation or concealer underneath it blended out. The overall process doesn’t take long at all for me and gets easier with practice. Leave your tips in the comments! #cheriepartner

Brows for days!
New #makeupmonday I have made the decision to explore WOC makeup (and skincare) brands and made my first purchase with Uoma Beauty. I absolutely love what this brand stands and knew I needed to give it a try! ———————————————————————————— “UOMA - pronounced OMA (uh-mah) means beautiful and we believe that beauty starts the moment you decide to be yourself. We exist to re-write the rules of inclusivity and diversity to create a world of beauty that truly is for all of us. UOMA Beauty is the most inclusive black-owned beauty brand. Founded by Nigerian born, LA & London based former beauty executive Sharon Chuter, the UOMA Beauty range is rebellious, innovative and created for all. At UOMA we are an empowered tribe. Our race is human, our people are free, our language is color. All are welcome to our beautiful tribe.” ____________________________________________ I’ve started with their UOMA BEAUTY - Brow-Fro Kit as I am always struggling to fill out my brows. I love all three products but unfortunately the shade it too light for me. This is the only disadvantage I’ve found to ordering makeup online. It’s so hard to guess which shade will be right for you. But each brow product it so easy to work with. I especially love the UOMA BEAUTY - BROW-FRO Blow Out Gel ! I can hopefully get it on my range the next time I place and order as I’d like to give the foundation a try in the future. I am LOVING the UOMA BEAUTY - Double Take Contour Stick in shade 3 honey/honey as the deeper color blends like butter and the highlight is gorgeous! Perfect for my brow bones, nose and high points of the cheek! And you can’t go wrong as right now instead of $40 it’s a whopping savings and only $15! The Brow-Fro Kit is on sale as well from $70 to $50! Have you tried anything from Uoma Beauty? I’d be very curious to hear what your faves are as I make the change to be more inclusive! Also, if you don’t follow @heysharonc on IG (founder) you’re missing out! An absolute beauty inside and out! ❤️

HOW TO APPLY THE CONCEALER: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE
That a concealer is simply a concealer? Not at all! Sure, the main function of the concealer is that, but it's got a trick! To be really expert in makeup you have to have this product super controlled: know how to apply the concealer, choose the perfect one for you, know other functions that you can give to enhance your makeup to the maximum...  Ready to erase all your imperfections and enhance your makeup to the fullest? Let's go! Moisturize before makeup Although it may sound redundant, the skin should be hydrated before the concealer is applied, much more so when it comes to the eye area. The sensitivity of this skin needs a previous eye contour that hydrates and protects the area.  If you resort to a fluid concealer, you can apply it with slight taps forming an inverted triangle. Even if you want to hide the dark circle, you don't have to follow its shape as it will be more visible and the eye will appear drooping. By drawing the triangle, the opposite effect is achieved, highlighting the gaze and illuminating the face by encompassing a larger surface area. You can play with the shape of the triangle, creating an isosceles to tear the eye further and clean, in case you wear it, the cat eye. The first photo I show you the diferent effect the shape of your concealer can make in your face. We can see an ilumated undereye tan elongates the face in the third photo. In this one on the other hand, we can see a lifting effect on my face because of how i applied and blended my concealer. You have to know the shape of your face to know what will look the best in you. There is not a universal way to apply makeup. Each one of us has to know what is convenient and what not. Liquid correctors have less pigmentation than cream correctors so when buying yours, first think about which area you need it for and how you're going to use it. In addition to dark circles, we also use the concealer to camouflage pimples. Before covering with layers and layers of product and not letting the skin breathe, the pimple must be treated. The concealer can also be used as an illuminator, as long as the product is suitable and applied in the appropriate areas. In addition to the inverted triangle under the eyes, the septum of the nose and the center of the forehead are the main natural light. Fluid correctors are the easiest to use when lighting, but their key is in the way they are blended No dragging, just light touches. My favourite concealer is the shape tape by tarte. But you have to be careful because its a very drying concealer. So if your skin is dry, you better use another one, like the one from too faced, born this way.                                                                                           There is a concealer that I really dont like, born this way by too faced. Take into account that i dont like it beacuse it dindt work FOR ME. That doesn't mean its a bad concealer and that it wont work for you. I don't like the concealer from morphe, either. It's weird because i really love their foundation. But the concealer just didnt work form me. Its tacky and i dont like the coverage. Know your face, your skin type, and what your desired effect is and you will have the most flawless look using your concealer!

My skin cabinet
Hey y’all This is my skin cabinet. As you can see it has a lot of samples from Ipsy and Sephora and only a few full sized products as I am new to skin care and I am trying out a lot of things to see what works for my skin. I wear a cpap mask and I have a hard time with pimples only under where I wear the mask. I am not acne prone but seem to get it only when I trap the oils. So far I love face masks and use them whenever I’m stressed out. The whole bottom shelf are different face masks I have tried and I have reviewed most on here. I am still learning about serums and oils so my middle row is a lot of products that will hydrate and moisturize my face. The top is mostly gentle cleansers. I rotate my use of these cleansers but my skin seems to love them all. My make up peg board is all tarte products that I bought full size. I love tarte because it matches my skin well and I don’t break out with continued use. I don’t wear make up a lot but still keep samples from Ipsy on the size in the buckets are lip samples, primer samples, and blushes. On the right in the cat vase are my brushes, mascaras, and liners. I am working through my samples right now and trying to see what I like so that hopefully in time I will buy full sized products for a routine that will work for my combination skin. I already know most acne geared skin care is too strong for my face and makes things worse. If anyone else has recommendations for maskne all would be appreciated.

Flawless Base! Makeup for Your Skin but Better
Because I spend so much time and energy getting my skin to look even and glowing on its own, I want my makeup base to enhance rather than hide it. This is why light or medium coverage crème products are my go-to for a flawless base! I start out with a cleansed and moisturized face. If I’m going to be outside I’ll also go in with COOLA - Classic Full Spectrum 360 Sun Silk Drops SPF 30 (which I already have a post about!). It adds the perfect dewy base and has no flashback. I let it set for 15 minutes and then start my makeup. To prime, I use TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer which is heavenly. It doesn’t clog my pores, and leaves my skin hydrated prepped and smooth for my next steps. If I know it will be hot or humid, I also go in with either thebenefit - The POREfessional Face Primer or thebeautyblender - Pore Minimizing Primer on my T-zone; more oily areas. Neither of these pill if layered with the tatcha primer and compliment it beautifully. Next, I go in and spot treat with concealer. I don’t use foundation! I start with NARS - Soft Matte Complete Concealer around my nose and lips, or any other red areas. I use a brush and pat it on the areas I want to cover, let it sit for a minute, and then blend it out with a medium concealer brush. This gives more coverage without having to layer more product! If I still have discoloration or a particularly red or dark pimple, I go over it with a smaller brush using tarte - Shape Tape Concealer as this is very high coverage. Again I let it sit, then blend. Another trick is using creme products to get that lit-from-within glow! For blush, I love Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color and liquid blush drops fromEM COSMETICS - Color Drops Serum Blush as both of these blend in effortlessly and look like your own skin! Both of these blushes set themselves without the use of powder. For Highlighter, Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand is the best in my opinion. It blends it without looking cakey or fake, but adds the dimension of face tune in real life! This also sets itself and doesn’t require power. If contouring, both KKW BEAUTY - Crème Contour Stick (I use Light 1) and the FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick (I use amber!) layer well with the other creme products. I don’t have issues with patching or pilling, and I enjoy how both sit and feel on the skin as creme contours can feel heavy. When set there is no transfer. I set with BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder which I’ve raved about before. No flashback, and keeps the dimensions of the creme products. It doesn’t cake on, but adds another layer of blurring perfection!

I haven’t done my makeup like this in a big minute and this took me about 2 hours. 😳 So PLEASE give this post a cheer, save whatever and if you like what you see HIT THAT FOLLOW! Zoom Ready: Easy Work Makeup with Glasses 🤓
Keep your base makeup smooth, easy, natural and glowy. Light/Medium coverage is the best. No heavy contour or highlight. Blend from center out. When wearing glasses, only use leftover foundation products on your brush/sponge on your nose and nose bridge where your glasses sit. And for under eye concealer, also leave space for your glasses and blend outwards. Less products mean less smudging/creasing. Powder and setting spray also help a lot. Emphasize your brows and lips instead of your eyes. Use a light brown matte shadow on your eyelids to minimize puffiness and add definition. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Eye Primer
ANASTASIA Beverly Hills-ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Eye Primer
Full face, but keep it natural 💋
Full face, but keep it natural 💋
Here are my favorite products for a natural full face of makeup! e.l.f. - Poreless Face Primer this primer is $5 and does the job. It has a slight which hazel scent to it and has a mousse like consistency that creates a blurring a smoothing effect to the skin. A little goes a long way so this purchase will last you a long time! I really like that this primer is lite weight and doesn’t feel to sticky on my face either, but still provides a good canvas for my foundation. MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer I use this concealer almost everyday to cover up any blemishes I may have going on or to correct redness as well. I use a shade that matches my skin exactly so I prefer to use this before I go in with my foundation to cover up what needs to me covered and provide an even color and coverage when I put down my foundation. tarte - Shape Tape Concealer of course I also use the infamous Shape Tape Concealer on glam days because of its coverage and how long it stays put. Sometimes I put this on before my foundation and sometimes I put it on after; it really just depends on my mood. I like to use this concealer as part of my contour to brighten the under eyes and some high points of my face. A little goes a long way to I rarely go into the tube for more product and honestly will takes some product off of the applicator sometimes so that I can slowly build up to how much product I actually want. Honestly though, there are concealers out there that are pretty good shoes that cost way less so I just bought this concealer as a treat to myself. If you’re on a budget I recommend the e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer because it’s $6, won’t budge, and has great coverage just like Shape Tape. wet n wild - MegaGlo Makeup Stick Conceal and Contour I bought this as an intro to contouring with creams and I really like it. It’s super smooth and in my opinion is fairly forgiving and won’t kill you if you mess up. This product comes in a few different shades and also has a blush. I only use a deeper shade for my contour and I really like how easy it is to blend out. I recommend using the stick directly on your face rather than rubbing a brush against it and then applying. I find this gives you more color pay off as well. Like the Shape Tape, sometimes I put this on before my foundation and other days after. I personally like putting it on before because if you go in too heavy then the foundation helps to even it out and I find it looks a lot more natural and has a smoother finish. laura mercier - Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Oil Free I’ve been using this for 5 years and haven’t budged on it! It’s a tinted moisturizer but is buildable and provides great coverage. It’s lite weight and I use a sponge to apply it. SPF is the perfect bonus!
