Easy Pastel Eyeshadow & Liner 🌈💫🦋
Glossier. - Colorslide technogel eye pencil I use this eyeliner for a touch of blue or for a super colorful look. In the photo above I used the color “Early Girl.” It is a cute eggshell blue with a hint of gray. It is very long wearing and a gel pencil formula. There are 11 more shades available so you can find the color for you! COLOURPOP - Super shock shadow I have this product in many colors. It is a soft and extremely blend able eyeshadow that almost has a creme texture. I use my fingers to apply the eyeshadow because I feel like using a brush doesn’t pick up as much pigment. In this photo I used the shade “Ripple,” it is a shimmery light purple with flecks of blue. I only used a small amount in the photo but you can add as much as you like. 💗🤍💗

My favourite eyeshadows
Here are three of my favourite eyeshadow products that I would like to recommend: 1.M.A.C Eye Shadow - Fashion’s Field Day This is a single pressed eyeshadow from M.A.C. I like this one because the colour is so special. Basically, it’s a beautiful pinky coral shade eyeshadow with a pearly finish, but it has a fine golden shimmer that creates a kind of frost eyeshadow look. It’s not that strong reflective and iridescent shimmer so it can still be very natural for day-to-day use. The texture is a little bit dry but acceptable and the pigmentation is good. It applies evenly on my eyelid and blends very well.  2.COLOURPOP Super Shock Shadow Ultra-Glitter - DGAF I would highly recommend this single eyeshadow if you are looking for a shimmer eyeshadow with glitters. I really love this unique bouncy texture of COLOURPOP. It’s so creamy, so soft and so smooth. Only one swipe is needed to deliver an intense pigmentation. The best tool to apply this eyeshadow is your fingers. And this shade DGAF is the best seller. It has warm-toned brown shade and with many golden glitters to create a multi-dimensional look.   3.CHANEL Multi-effect Quadra Eyeshadow - 268 This is my favourite eyeshadow palette of my whole collection. This palette has four shades that contain three shades of brown and a beautiful warm red shade, and all four shades are matte. The colour combination is exactly for a fall makeup look, and the warm red shade recalls me maple leaves. The texture is not that dry as many other matte eyeshadows especially the red one. The colour is buildable and well-blended on my eyelids.

Lancome Ombre Hypnose Stylo Eye Shadow Sticks in 6 Neutral shades with Satin Shimmer and Metallic finishes. These are ultra-creamy, high pigment, on the go, easy to use shadow stick and eye liner, with a self-sharpener included. It stays put for as long as 24Hours. ..... The colors I have are 01 Or Inoubliable - light gold (satin finish) 02 Sable Enchante - sandy gold (metallic Finish) 04 Brun Captivant - dark metallic brown (shimmer finish) 05 Erika F - Khaki Green (Satin Finish) 24 Or Cuirve - Copper (Metallic Finish) 25 Platine - silvery brown (Metallic Finish) Swipe to see swatches. ..... These eyeshadows are super soft and creamy. They glide on smoothly, without tugging or pulling the eyelids and one to two swipes are enough to get a rich color. I find that these are easy to blend with fingers than with brush because they start to set almost instantly. It is advisable to do one eye at a time and keep blending as needed. The shimmery shades have very fine shimmers, that are not gritty in texture and the shimmers don't migrate everywhere by end of the day. The metallic shades or the shimmery shades don't make my eyelids looks wrinkly. These Shadow Sticks lasts on the eyelids for several hours and don't fade or crease on my super oily eye lids. The formula is waterproof and can be removed using an eye makeup remover or an oil based cleanser. The built in sharpner at the end to refine the point is very handy if using as an eyeliner. ..... Some metallic and shimmery shades I have are a little too shimmery for my taste. I enjoy using this as an all over lid color with darker shade smudged as a liner.

lancome Ombré Hypnôse Stylo Eyeshadow Sticks 🎁I had been using the Urban Decay primer potion and Naked Smoky palette for my daily eye makeup, but I would always have raccoon eyes by the end of the day. I switched eyeshadow primers and tried to upgrade to an Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow, but nothing has worked as well as these crayons. These lancome eyeshadows are amazing - They last around 10 hours on my oily skin without smudging or smearing! 💄I have a monolid and next to zero makeup skill, so I was looking for an eyeshadow crayon that was easy to use. These sticks are really pigmented and don’t require any force, and when the tip gets dull, you can twist the bottom to extend the crayon. (This is very important to me, as I hate having to use a sharpener!) ✨VERDICT: At $25 each, these eyeshadows are worth the splurge for your daily colors. Their long-wearing performance really impressed me, and I love how the pigmented colors show up on my tan skin (that’s more than I can say for half the eyeshadow palettes out there). Really recommend checking this out!

Celestial 🌙 Purple Shadow + Red Liner
I wanted to share one of my favorite color combinations for brown eyes. This looks especially good if you have warm-toned skin, and I think it would flatter deeper skin tones, too. 🍇 It's purple eyeshadow with red eyeliner. 🍓 It sounds pretty basic, but the combination makes brown eyes look like they're glowing. If you combine a matte red with shimmery purple, it looks extra dazzling. I did my look with ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Eye Shadow Singles in 2 shades. 🍇 Gemstone Purple shadows are hard to pull off, but this one was smooth to work with. Its texture is a little bit crumbly, but soft, and it feels a little bit emollient when you roll it on your arm. It's only takes about two layers to build up to the color in the pan, and the final look is a soft, flattering purple that doesn't wash warm-toned skin out. 🍓 Love Letter This color is one of a kind. It's also available in theANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette Love Letter is a dark, pinkish red. It feels a little dry when you swatch it, but it blends with with no patchiness whatsoever. Love Letter is one of the most unique and high quality eyeshadow I have. In this picture, I blended Gemstone all over my eyelid, and used Love Letter as a soft, blown out liner. The final result made me feel like I could be a chill character on Euphoria. ⚡️ To finish up the look, I suggest using a bright, warm pink like I'm wearing here. I used REVLON - Ultra HD Matte Lip Mousse Hyper Matte (Shade:: Devotion) But you can also use NARS - Powermatte Lip Pigment (Shade: Walk the Line) for a more sophisticated touch.

A shimmery twist on a true brown
I honestly feel like I am having a Samantha Ravndahl moment. During this whole thing, I realized that a lot of my Super Shock Shadows have been removed from the permanent collection. COLOURPOP - Super shock shadow Mitten was a perfect dupe forANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Eye Shadow Singlesshade “Red Earth.” It was a true brown with a little bit of mauve undertone and shimmers. I love it for deepening other colors that my black shade would make too deep. It is also good for using all over the eye for a one-color, defused look. Recommended? Yes. Dead or alive: ❌💀 Specs: 0.07 oz. for $6 Fingers or brush: Both. 🔎 Where to find it? 🔍 ⚪️ Colourpop will let you fall in love with a shade, then rip it away from you. ⚪️ Ulta has 32 other shades, but Mittens is not one of them.

Liquid vs. Powder | Kosas and Natasha Denona
Kosas - 10-Second Eyeshadow NATASHA DENONA - Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette Traditionally, I would only use powder eyeshadows. I’ve never had issues with color payoff or lasting powder with many of my eyeshadow palettes. I’ve never been one to use liquid eyeshadows but I’ve been experimenting with these Kosas 10 second eyeshadows. I was intrigued by the claim that this is a quick way to complete a whole eye look. Immediately I will say that these take more than 10 seconds to use. If you want a good color payoff you will have to build these up and wait for them to dry between each coat. Also, I prefer using at least one shade in my crease before applying this to my eyelid because I like the end result better. That step is not necessary however it does add on to the time needed to work with these. This particular shade goes on sheer at first and a bit streaky. The color is gorgeous but you do need to work quickly and carefully with them. I think this would be good as a base for another shadow on top of it for a long lasting effect however, I don’t think this particular liquid eyeshadow is more convenient than a traditional powder eyeshadow. I’m obsessed with the Natasha Denona mini palettes. They are very small however I get good use out of all the shades. This particular bronzy shimmer shade is similar to the Kosas ones. This brand has some of the best metallic shades on the market in my opinion. They swatch beautifully and feel almost wet. The color payoff is insane in one swipe and I find it so easy to apply these to the lid. I don’t need a primer or concealer to make this eyeshadow pop with intense color. I love the other shades in this palette as well and I often mix the shimmer shades together before applying onto the lid. In my opinion, powder eyehsadows are the same if not better than a liquid eyeshadow in terms of color payoff and lasting power. It might not be worth it to carry around a tube of just one eye shade when you can use this mini palette instead

Solid vs. Liquid - Eyeshadow Edition
Hello lovies! Today I’m bringing you Battle of the eyeshadow: liquid vs. solid! We all love our eyeshadows but have you ever stopped to think “hey which type of consistency do I really like 😳?” Well look no further because I’m bringing you some insight into my opinion on the matter! For some background information I have a light to medium skin tone with a pink undertone and I have oily eye lids. The fact that my lids are oily makes it tricky to find good eyeshadows! Let’s begin with Kosas - 10-Second Eyeshadow in shade Globe. This liquid eyeshadow retails for $28.00, slightly on the more expensive side. I won this item in a giveaway and it’s my first and only KOSAS item. This claims to be a 10 second eyeshadow, fast drying, and crease resistant formula. It’s a neutral champagne shade which is ideal if you’re looking for a natural makeup look! Now when I say this liquid eyeshadow is quick drying and long lasting - I mean it truly is! Even my swatch was difficult to wash off because this eyeshadow is so long lasting. I love that it is so quick to use and you get an amazing color pay off. Unfortunately the loops I had done with natural light could not be uploaded and I had to take new loops on a cloudy day. However, you can still see how pretty it is. Next, is my solid/powder eyeshadow COLOURPOP - Birthday Cake Super Shock Pigment Duo in shade Extra Sprinkles. This eyeshadow pigment is one of two that comes in the Birthday Cake bundle ($12.00). These are super cute and fun but don’t have the best color pay off as you would expect. This collection was a limited edition collaboration with an ice cream company hence the cute name and shade. As you can see in the last loop, this solid eyeshadow does not compare to the liquid shadow. You can also see how the both shades look on my skin tone but I believe they would look great on any skin tone. In the end, I have to say my preference regarding different forms of eyeshadow is the liquid form! Funny enough it’s my first liquid eyeshadow and I think I know what I’ll be buying with my Sephora gift cards now! It’s so easy to use and color pay is so extreme you would think your makeup is edited! Hope this mini review helps you in deciding which eyeshadow you prefer!

Is the MAC Paint Pot worth it? *wear test
What are your thoughts on eyeshadow primers? Honestly for a long time I thought they were useless. I mostly just applied a glitter powder eyeshadow to my lids and called it a day. I heard a lot of hype about the MAC Paint Pots: MAC - Pro Longwear Paint Pot Eyeshadow so I decided to invest in the lighter matte shade closest to my skin tone: Soft Ochre. Keyword: matte—most of the shades in this range, like the popular “painterly” are SHIMMER formulas which...why tho??? The point of eyeshadow primers is to limit creasing, extend wear time, and protect your shadow against oils that your eyelid produces during the day (everyone’s lids sweat!). I have pretty sensitive eyes so I have to be careful of what I put on them—I can use a liquid eyeshadow if I leave it far away enough from my lash line & prep with an eye cream first, but what would happen if I added a primer on top of that? Let’s do a wear test! Application—8:30 AM: Today is a work day so I usually don’t wear any eye makeup, but I wanted to look a lil fancy since I am forced to wear a mask while I work! I did not apply mascara, I’m still looking for a formula that doesn’t burn my eyes. I dabbed the primer on MY RIGHT eye (see photos) and remembered that I needed to blend it quickly—it dries down in like 10 seconds! I thank myself for choosing to wear a liquid shadow formula. I apply the liquid shadow—Stila’s Glitter & Go formula stila - Glitter Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Duo Chrome across my entire lid into my crease. I have hooded eyes so I don’t mind if there is a hard stop, as it won’t be visible unless my eyes are closed. I keep my eyes closed until the formula is completely dry (3-5 mins) and head to work! External forces: Toward the end of my day I experienced some glitter fallout from my non-primed eye. It happens with this formula as it contains chunky glitters. So my usual suggestion would be to only wear this for a few hours at a time without a primer! But the primed side stayed strong. Wear test complete—4:30 PM: I get home from work to asses the damage. I am VERY surprised to see that the primed side looks almost exactly the same as it did this morning! The non-primed side had some fallout and glitter loss while the primed side kept it all in place. My eyes only felt a little dry at the end of the day which I attribute to the eye cream—this is a VERY matte formula. Final thoughts: I think this is a great shadow base to protect your shadow from eyelid oils and for longevity. I do not think this would be good to use for cut creases, as it dries down almost immediately. If you have SUPER OILY eyelids this is the primer for you! Rating: 4/5. This is just too drying to me to use without an eye cream underneath.

My 3 Favourite Eyeshadows
Collecting makeup truly brings me joy, and of the eyeshadows that I have played with throughout the years, I have narrowed my favorites down to these three eyeshadows: Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow, Clinique Shadow Trio, and Nars Eyeshadow Duo. Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter #Perlina: I cannot live without glitter eyeshadows because I love fancy and lively eye makeup. I find that Stila’s liquid eyeshadow is by far one of the superior glitter eyeshadows that I have tried. Its shade and texture just work so well for me. This eyeshadow is in a white translucent color that encompasses different shades of glitter, such as blue, yellow and pink, which really adds dimension. Dotting this onto eyelids really adds an extra spark and specialness to the whole look. Because of its liquid texture, it stays on the eyes better than powder eyeshadows. I literally cannot find one single bad thing about this product! Clinique Shadow Trio #01 sunset glow, 06 daybreak, AA French vanilla: This eyeshadow trio has all the most basic yet must have colors, including a white beige color, white shimmer and light brown color, which is perfect for an everyday occasion in my opinion. Because it is so compact and the colors compliment each other well, I always carry it in my purse and bring it to travels with me. The colors are very neutral and enhance my eyes naturally, and the texture feels very smooth and creamy. Even though the color payoff isn’t very high, but it allows me to achieve a natural look, and it is easy to build up. Therefore, I still highly recommend this product. Nars Eyeshadow Duo #Kuala Lumpur: Its combination of colors suits my taste, which consists of a nude pink shade with gold shimmers and a dark burgundy shade also with gold shimmers. I find that gold shimmers complete my neutral skin tone really, even if the base colors are more suited for cool skin tones. These two eyeshadows give me a rosy and deep eye look, which I absolutely love! I often use this for a more special occasion where I want my eyes to stand out. The color payoff is really high and applies smoothly.

Have a super glittery eyelid!
As the glittery, shimmery, shiny, metallic eyeshadows are very trendy at the moment, a lot of beauty bloggers and YouTubers are raving about these stila - Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow They’re liquid glitter eyeshadows, in a bottle with a flat foam applicator. The formula is water-based, very lightweight on the eyelids, which dry fast and last a long time with delicate shimmers. I got 3 shades: Embellish, Dollish, and Stylish. They are all buildable and suitable for an everyday look. 🌠Stylish: This is a translucent eyeshadow with golden glitters and shimmers. 🌠Embellish: This is my favourite one out of the three shades. It's pink-purple with silver shimmers. 🌠Dollish: You just know by the name that it's a delicate pink. It's a richer version of those rose eyeshadows with more golden shimmers. Basically, I use them in this way: Step1: apply my powder eyeshadows and do my usual makeup, Step2: then apply a thin layer of Stila liquid eyeshadow directly with the applicator on the eyelid, Step3: before the product becomes dry, use fingertip and tap to blend the edges and set the product. Step4: leave my eyelid closed for about 1 minute to allow the product to dry and avoid the transfer of glitter on the upper eyelid.

FENTY BEAUTY AMBER  V.S.  MAC omega
FENTY BEAUTY AMBER and MAC omega are my favorite shade products. I can say that I use them every day. The color of these two are quite similar and they are both so matched with my skin color. I believe that those people who are medium-tan or tan skin tones with neutral undertones would definitely love them.   FENTY BEAUTY AMBER: Although the texture of FENTY BEAUTY AMBER is paste, it is so hydrated and smooth when I apply it on my cheek. I can still remember that I was a little bit worried at the first using time because it seems thick and it may make my makeup look dirty. However, I was quite excited since it shapes my face naturally. There is a tip to make it work with the whole makeup, that is, using a powder puff dipped in water to pat this shade. You will find it lifts your face immediately.   MAC omega: Unlike FENTY BEAUTY AMBER, the texture of MAC omega is powder. It is no exaggeration to say that MAC omega is the best shade I have ever bought. Although it is designed for eye shadow, it is really suitable for nose shade. It is so fantastic since it can make my features look outstanding immediately. I have persuaded all my dear friends to buy MAC omega and I strongly recommend everyone to try this one.   According to amazon, the price of FENTY BEAUTY AMBER is $25.00 for 0.25oz while the price of MAC omega is $22.07 for 0.05oz. Despite of the fact that MAC seems more expensive than FENTY BEAUTY, I prefer MAC omega since it is more functional. Please buy it, you would never regret.

Spring Makeup 🌷🧡
Hello!!! This is a makeup look I’ve been doing whenever I decide to put on some makeup. Before quarantine I played around with makeup wayyyyy more but this app sort of inspired me to get back into makeup some more! I love this look because it’s looks light & fresh with a little bit of color. tarte - SEA Aquacealer Concealer First is concealer- to cover my bags and blemishes. This concealer is great because it’s not too drying but stays put on my oily t-zone. Kaja - Cheeky Stamp Blendable Blush Blush- this blush is super cute and innovative. The stamp is sooo cute and the color that I use (coy) is natural enough that it doesn’t look too pink. Also this product is super easy to blend and build up to your desired color. MAC - Eye Brows Styler Pencil Brows- I am a blonde girl with super blonde brows! This product is one I’ve been using for about two years now. “Stylized” is a great shade for any other blondes out there. Glossier. - Skywash sheer matte lid tint Eyes- I used Glossier’s Skywash in the color “pool” in my inner corners to add a touch of blue. These are matte liquid eyeshadows that you can easily glide on your lid! I def reccommend if you are searching for a new and different eyeshadow product. MAYBELLINE - Mascara Lash Sensational Lashes- all I can say about this mascara is that it is perfect! The formula doesn’t budge and the brush is plastic, which I prefer. It adds length, volume and definition to your lashes, also it’s super cheap! BUXOM - Holographic Full-On Plumping Lip Polish Collection Lips- I used this gloss in the shade “Katie.” It adds a ton of shine, moisture and it also plumps you’re lips. COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist Set- this is great to use before and after makeup application. I like this one because it smells great and has hyaluronic acid to keep my skin hydrated. Feel free to share your go to products with me or your opinions on any of these!! 💗 xo

Blue Monday
I recently picked up the @glossier Skywash in Pool 💧 to see how it would look on my blue eyes, and it really didn’t disappoint! ⠀ ⠀ The formula is a dryer liquid eyeshadow, so it was easy to build up the pigment. I didn’t really need to blend, but I still took a fluffy brush into my crease! I love love a pastel moment and am excited to have this baby in my collection 💦⠀(link in bio if you want to pick up some Glossier! 😘) ⠀ I also recently picked up the Hilary Duff Daydreamer kit with @nudestix and the teal eye pencil (night dweller) paired as a really pretty subtle eyeliner! I also popped some of the new highlight stick from the kit (half moon) on the middle and inner corner 🌙⠀Glossier. - Skywash sheer matte lid tint Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara NUDESTIX - Daydreamer Kit by Hilary Duff

$18 Stila Suede Shade Liquid Shadow Dupe
2020 is my year of eyeshadow and I’ve been having so much fun trying different eyeshadows. Since I’m not the best at blending or executing intricate eye looks, I’ve found myself gravitating towards liquid eyeshadows since they easy to blend and do not require a lot of expertise. Stila’s Suede Shade liquid eyeshadows ($24) have become so popular and it’s not hard to see why. They’re super pigmented, long-lasting and stunning once applied. My favorite shade to play around with is Starlight, which is a gorgeous gold that can either be worn by itself to create a bronzey look or added on top for a high-intensity shine. Another eyeshadow I’ve been playing with recently is Glossier’s Lidstar in Moon ($18), which offers a similar golden hue. Glossier’s version isn’t as pigmented and slightly more iridescent, but a worthy dupe if you’re looking to save a little. You’re in good hands regardless of which you choose. I wore both shades on my lids on their own (usually I’ll add some bronzer to my crease for some definition and contour then apply the gold shade on top.)

GLOSSIER-Lidstar
Glossier. - Lidstar I love this liquid eyeshadow!! It looks so natural. Apply the eyeshadow right under the eyebrow and in your tear duct. This trick will make it look like light is bouncing off your eyes! Believe me it’s going to make your eye makeup POP!!✨ What is it: Liquid eyeshadow. How to use it: You can use your fingertips to apply on your eyelids. Who is it for: All skin types.

Bad color payoff for this Colourpop palette
Bad color payoff for this Colourpop palette
COLOURPOP - Double Entendre Pressed Powder Shadow Palette This is one of my least favorite Colourpop palettes I own for a few reasons that I will dig deeper into later on in this review. First and foremost, Double Entendre is a neutral eyeshadow palette that can be used for a variety of looks. It’s texture, compared to other shadows, is actually really stiff. I have difficulties with getting some specific colors to stick onto my brush and some colors I just really have to dig in with my fingers. When I purchased this palette, I was looking for a really nice neutral palette. The colors are gorgeous with the perfect blend of matte and shimmer, but the colors just did not pick up on my brush for me. Maybe I got a bad palette, but I struggled to get much of the darker colors onto my brush. However, I wouldn’t recommend against this palette, because again, it’s a gorgeous palette. I’ve had great luck with other Colourpop palettes and genuinely feel like it was just this one palette that I received that did not meet the quality expectations. For my specific palette, I spent a lot of time just digging my brush into the color I wanted to use, but couldn’t due to lack of payoff. But, don’t let this review deter you from purchasing this palette!
