🍁 fall leaves look 🍂
🍁 wow this took so long to make! I figured I would test out my new LA girl palette, in the shade foreplay. It has some beautiful glitters and Matte shades that i used for this look. 🍂 my general game plan for this was to use stickers or cut outs but they ended up not working out, so I drew the leaves on in black liquid eyeliner products used L.A. Girl - Keep It Playful Eyeshadow Palette absolutely gorgeous, would really recommend and has incredible color payoff for the inexpensive price. It has five matte shades and four glitter shades. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Brush Set my favorite brush that, they’re really soft and the handles are wood and they are gorgeous URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion The original install the best eyeshadow primer, no creases no flaking, and it last all day

Fell In Love With An Eyeshadow Palette
Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer I fell asleep after taking these pictures and woke up with my eyeshadow perfectly intact! LORAC - PRO Palette Noir The shades are buttery soft, intensely pigmented and blend beautifully. Luxury quality at half the price. I can’t rec this palette enough. I even used a deeper blue color, which I have never ever done before and it turned out well. WANDER BEAUTY - Mile High Club Volume and Length Mascara Only Pat McGrath does it better. UOMA BEAUTY - Say What?! Foundation in T1N. I gave myself a little more coverage today. It has a faint smell when first applied but sets beautifully and covers like a dream. I don’t even think you need a luminizer underneath. OFRA - #OFRAglow Signature Highlighting Palette I used Bali on my cheekbones and topped it with a bit of Star Island. Star Island is fine. Bali is gorgeous, creamy and easy to work with. It is worth the (sale) price of this palette all on its own. URBAN DECAY - Original All Nighter Setting Spray Ornament A nice product that set my makeup well without mattefying my foundation or highlighter and did not have a scent. PAT McGRATH LABS - Mattetrance Lipstick Celestial Divinity Collection in Amour. First of all this looks nothing like the website picture. Second it pulls a little warm on me. Third her matte lipsticks always scare me because they look so matte in the tube. However, I loved this color both in pictures and IRL and it is nowhere near as matte as it appears in the tube. It has a nice creaminess to it that made it so comfortable to wear. A fun birthday treat for myself. I am looking for a champagne eyeliner (vegan) to line my waterline with. Any recommendations? Thank you!!

J’adore (Lorac) Noir
Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer This is the best primer out there regardless of what the marketing and awards say. WANDER BEAUTY - Mile High Club Volume and Length Mascara I had my eyes dilated and my mascara did not smudge or run from all the drops. I was impressed. It has a tendency to get a little crunchy as the day goes on but that could be because I apply 3 coats. LORAC - PRO Palette Noir I have always been a fan of these shadows and thought they were underrated. Noir is their new formulation and when I dipped my brush into the pan I was shocked. These shadows are creamy, intensely pigmented, apply like a dream and don’t kick up eyeshadow dust. Run, do not walk and get this palette. These shadows are comparable to luxury shadows. Lots of neutrals but fun neutrals. I can’t wait to spend more time with this palette. I only used one shade for this look because I was trying to keep things simple. DIOR - BACKSTAGE Glow Face Palette in Rose Gold. They give a lovely subtle glow to the cheeks. They are very soft so be careful with them. Mine arrived with one of the colors broken in half. The beauty of it, and also the eyeshadow, did not show up in my pictures. Sometimes lighting just isn’t on your side. I have wanted this highlighter palette for awhile and I am glad I own it. If I could do it again, I would pass on it though given the cost. UOMA BEAUTY - Say What?! Foundation in T1N. I love shaking this foundation before application. Does anyone else enjoy that? Two pumps covers my whole face. It has a medium consistency and I apply by hand. I have stopped using the shape tape because I didn’t like the texture. This foundation provides enough coverage right now and does an excellent job of evening out my complexion. It also sets without powder or spray which is nice on asthma days. OFRA - OFRA Lip Gloss in Love. Mixing in another texture and brightening up my face with this nice pink coral lip gloss. It is only a little sticky and feels great on. It has a nice slip. So that is what would be my 10 minute makeup look except as a disabled person everything takes me twice as long. Do you have a palette you are looking forward to buying? Also, again, the lighting is off for the pictures. Sorry!!!

👁 No Smudge Eye Makeup 💦
The eye makeup can easily dropping of due to oily eyelids or the powder texture of eye shadow. This is why nowadays I like to start with the eye base cream - Eye primer. For the longest time, I used concealer on my lids as a primer. I also find that some eyeshadow colours that normally don't look obvious or as pigmented on my skin tone were definitely more pigmented and obvious. Some may have the concern whether we should apply primer before or after the liquid foundation, or directly apply the eye shadow? And where and how should we apply it? I want to share my experience of most effective method and products that makes my eye makeup stay for whole day. Eye primer can improve the dullness of the eyes, make the eye shadow's color rendering. It also contributes to long lasting makeup throughout the day. Generally, applying eye primer is an indispensable and essential step in the overall makeup routine. Let's talk about the steps for eye primer. Compared with skin on the rest of our face, the area round eyes is very fragile. This is also why, we need to have an individual seperate process for skincare and makep before applying makeup around eyes. Here is my recent favorite eye primer. It goes on translucent which was really a plus. And It takes a few minutes to try down and leaves a smooth finish. NARS - Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base One thing really amazing about this product is that it is also waterproof. I did wear it in a wet rainy day and my eye makeup still stay in place without creasing or smudging. Here is the few steps how I use this primer for my waterproof eye makeup - First of all eye primer, primer, and even cream-like eye primer. These products works best if you did your skincare properlly. Moisturizing works. If you have enough time, it would be best to make an eye mask -Next, apply the eye primer evenly on the eyelids, including the inner corner and even along the roots of the eyelashes since the root of the eyelashes is an important part of eyeliner which is also where it can easily get oily and smash. -Wait 3 before applying eye makeup and finish uo with some lose powder to set. Here I do not suggest setting spray. Setting spray are moisture and can easily mess up with mascaras and other eye product, and a translucent powder would work best in this case.

My true destiny: Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Age: 23 Eye color: Dark Brown Skin Tone: Fair Skin Type: Combination, dry on cheeks and oily in T-zone and eyelids   I don’t think I needed an eyeshadow base or primer until I found that my eyeshadow would always disappear because of the “crease” on my eyelids. I asked my bestie and she told me that a good primer might be useful to prevent this awkward situation, so I started to look for good eye base products. I firstly had tried UD shadow primer which has the most reviews (almost 7.3k) on Sephora online shop, but it disappointed me as I would keep shedding tears after applying it around my eyes… I went to the Sephora in down town Santa Monica, and the sales recommended NARS’s smudge proof eyeshadow base for me. I bought it for $26 with a 20% discount.   The effect is amazing. Actually, it completely changed my eye makeup!!! This was definitely the missing piece. I bought the original color which is almost invisible when applied. It’s fragrance-free. The texture is very lightweight and it creates a seamless canvas which keeps cream and powder eye color looking brilliant, fresh, and just-applied all day. I usually sweep a thin layer onto my eyelids and blend it with my fingertips. It blends well and dries in just seconds. For me, I prefer to fill in my eyebrows in the gap, then follow with the eyeshadows. You should believe me that even in summer, you will have your eyeliners and shadows in their place after a whole day out. You can see from the pics I attached, it’s obvious that the color and persistence are both different with & without this primer.   With this lovely stuff, I never worry about if my eyeliner is smudging or my eyeshadow is moving. It “locks” my eye makeups in place. One piece could last for 6-7 months if used daily. I’ve already used up two pieces. Definitely my must-repurchase. I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THIS MAGICAL PRODUCT!

Is Glitter Primer Worth It?
TLDR: YES glitter primer is worth it Some people choose not to use actual eye primer. I personally do on a daily basis - the MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer . Some choose to use concealer, and if that works for you, that’s awesome. So why would you need a glitter primer, especially if you aren’t someone who wears glitter? Keep reading! I own the NYX - Glitter Primer . It’s affordable (approx. $7), cruelty-free, and widely available. I have a large eyeshadow palette collection. Some of my palettes are a few years old (like my tarte - Maneater Eyeshadow Palette V2 - mine is original version which you can’t get anymore but v2 contains same shades) and the shimmers don’t perform as well. You can use a glitter primer to amp up the intensity of lackluster shimmers! I swatched the shade “foxy” on dry skin w/ no primer, over the Milani primer, and over the NYX glitter primer. The swatch with the glitter primer is more shimmery and the shadow looks like how it used to 3-4 years ago. The glitter primer also holds onto shadow much better and will increase wear time. Glitter primer is great for, you guessed it, glitter. Now, admittedly I own a few COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Glitter and will flat out warn you they’re not technically eye safe. I regret buying a bunch of them but that’s a story for a different time. I have used the glitter glue to adhere these glitters to my eyes and I experience almost 0 fall-out. That’s incredible! The glitter primer can also be used on your body if you’re into body glitter. By the way, the shade I’m showing is the shade “fyre” - a gorgeous green. You can see in the swatches the glitter primer makes the glitter much more opaque and it adheres to the skin significantly better. I recommend looking for eye safe glitter. The NYX’s texture is quite tacky, so be sure to finish applying any other matte shadows before using this because it will be difficult to blend on top. I use this glitter glue most often for my older shimmer shadows. It’s also great for this of us with hooded eyes (raises hand) that experience a ton of shimmer transfer into the crease. It won’t completely stop the transfer, but it definitely helps. I fully recommend adding a glitter primer to your primer collection. At this price point, it’s a steal for the quality! #CheriePartner

MERMAID inspired makeup!🧜🏼‍♀️🌊🐚
hello everyone! today i am sharing a more wearable mermaid inspired makeup look!🧜🏼‍♀️ theres a big trend online to do mermaid inspired makeup, and although they look amazing, it would be a little weird to wear them out. this makeup i created is very intense, but its still wearable!😌 the point of the trend is to use purples, greens, and blues to emulate a mermaid. a lot people do scales on their face, but i would like this to be more wearable😊 so, heres how i got this look! dont forget to follow and cheer for more! i started with my e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer as normal. then, i applied my Juvia's PLACE - I am Magic Velvety Matte Foundation in alexandria. this foundation is great for people like me who have very pale/very dark skin and oily skin!☺️ i used my e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer under the eyes as normal, and set with my e.l.f. - Perfect Finish HD Powder as normal. i dusted my COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush in “whole nine yards” as usual, just to add some color to my face. then comes the fun part-the eyes! 👁 i used my PLOUISE - Base Shade in “1” as an eyeshadow base. without eyeshadow base, your eyeshadow will crease and not look as bright! i then started my eye shadow with a light lilac shade from colourpop called “heiress” above my crease. i deeped it with a darker purple called “try me”. both of these are COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow !😃 i then used one of my all time favorite palettes, and an essential to this look- COLOURPOP - Blue Moon Shadow Palette 🌙. this palette is SOO pigmented and beautiful! i used the shade intense blue “fine china” on my outer corner, and put “tide pool” on my outer corner to add shimmer. i used “lumi” as a highlighter on my cheek and brow bone. lumi is the most beautiful, iridescent eyeshadow i have EVER used!😍 i used the mint blue shade “haze” from the HUDA BEAUTY - Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette on my lower lash line, and COLOURPOP - Crème Gel Liner in “ice breaker” in my water line. the most essential part to this look in my opinion was the COLOURPOP - Colourpop Glitter Gel in “disco lady”! this glitter is a stunning, reflective “pastel rainbow” glitter! it looks a bit like scales and added so much to this look! i put it on my lid and in my inner corner. i finished off with my all time favorite L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara and then added a pop to my lips using MILANI - Ludicrous Lip Gloss in “beaming light” to add an amazing blue shine to my lips! u can see it alot better in person🙂 and viola! im casually a mermaid😎 lemme know what you think of this look and if you would wear it!💖 #CheriePartner

Eye Primer YAY 😁or NAY 😩??
I love drawing my eyeliner on my waterline but without fail I always get panda 🐼 eyes within a few hours after application. The pic taken is my eye 👁 4hrs after application and my eyeliner has not smudge one bit. All thanks to this eye primer - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Eye Primer U only need a tiny dot as shown in my photo it can literally cover both eyes (trust me!). I have dry sensitive skin so I moisturise and wait for it to dry before applying this primer. Once I did my eye makeup and eyeliner I followed it up with a bit of setting power at the ends of my eye and my eye make up lasted the whole day with no panda 🐼 eyes in site. This is a 7ml water resistant eye primer has a light colour base so you do not need much product. I’ve applied too much before and my eyes were so white I looked like Jadis the white witch lol 😂. Do you have recommendations on how to stop panda 🐼 eyes - do share.... so far this has worked for me but I love to learn and try other products too!

My Makeup Journey - 1st satisfying full glam
I've been on a makeup journey for the past few months and I've been peaking in the last 2 weeks. I've become obsessed watching JuicyJas videos and buying lots of makeup! Some makeup was given to me from friends' ipsy bags, bought as Sephora with help from an associate (very beginning of journey) and a bulk was bought from Ulta, Walmart and Target based on reviews by JuicyJas and my own curiosity. This is my first really good, satisfying full glam look. I've had huge trouble with acne from one particular break out induced by stress about a month ago which really kickstarted my makeup experimentation. I used to wear barely anything but this breakout was super distracting and embarrassing as I am a scab picker and cannot leave things alone. My face has big red spots from picked scabs and dark scars. I have been doing this all my life and know they will go away and fade eventually. The skin finally almost healed. This whole look took about two hours which included my skin care routine, letting moisturizers and primers set, and washing sponges and cleaning brushes. As you can see I used a huge amount of products. They worked well to cover my acne and it was my first time doing a pink eyeshadow look. I loved it!! I only use a small amount of NARS foundation because it's pretty heavy which I don't like much but I do love adding a small amount over my troubled areas over my Maybelline foundation. I also used e.l.f. eyeliner tape to do the wing for the first time. It worked so well! I have been doing winged eyeliner for years and I'm still not very good at it so I was so happy to find out this product existed. I can do winged eyeliner but it takes much longer to get it just right without the tape. I'm excited for when I better at doing makeup and have less acne to cover up so I don't have to spend so much time getting ready but still get the same results. I am a very expressive person and would love to do full glam everyday! I love coordinating my eyes and lips with my outfits. I went to the movies with this look and wore a pastel pink beanie and pastel pink sneakers to match it. My next project is figuring out how to do my eyebrows!

{Brown Eyes} Easy Matte Brown Eye Pictorial
Do you like to wear eyeshadow that is the same color as your eyes? I sure do! I have brown eyes, and I think that brown shadow makes my eyes look so...cozy. Is that weird? LOL. Anyways, I definitely recommend trying shadow that’s the same color as your eyes. For brown eyes, I also love orange, purple, and green. I prepared a simple matte eyeshadow pictorial using the DOSE OF COLORS - Baked Browns Eyeshadow Palette . This palette contains 5 warm-toned brown shadows ranging in depth and undertone. These shadows are very powdery and very pigmented, so less is more! The formula is smooth and easy to blend. It retails for $32, but you can sometimes find it on sale. DOC has a bunch of these 5-pans, so there’s bound to be a color story you’ll like. I used all 5 shades in this pictorial. This look took me about 5 minutes total. I apply my eyeshadow first except for lower lash line prior to doing my base makeup. I have hooded eyes, so I don’t do a lot of “complicated” eye looks (like cut creases) because the effect can get a little lost + time consuming (for me). Steps: Pre-prep: Prep your eyes with eye primer or concealer and set with translucent powder or the shade “tea light” (pale cream) depending on your skin tone. 1. Using a flat or fluffy brush, apply the shade “deserted” all over your lid and into your crease. 2. Using a fluffy blush, blend “outdoorsy” into your crease. 3. Using a smaller fluffy brush, gently stamp “cherry wood” onto your outer corner, then blend slightly inwards onto your lid and into your crease. 4. Using a flat definer or angled brush, apply “rock bottom” across your upper lashline. You can make this as intense as you want! **Blend your edges with a clean brush or one of your used fluffy brushes dipped into “tea light** 5. Use a pencil or flat definer brush to apply a tiny amount of “cherry wood” onto your outer lower lash line. Blend out with “deserted” or “outdoorsy” (I used “deserted” for a softer effect. Highlight under your brow arch and inner corner with “tea light”. 6. Add mascara. Not a fan of all matte eyes? Tap a shimmer shade from another palette on the inner 1/2 or 3/4 of your lid. Other eye products used: MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer (I’ve talked about this many times) the Balm cosmetics - Mad Lash Mascara (still testing this) #CheriePartner

Say goodbye to midday creases
NYX - Proof It! Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer - Waterproof Eye Shadow Primer $7 🔥Key Benefits: ● Long-lasting formula increases eyeshadow wear ● Durable and waterproof ● Transparent finish ● Cruelty-free ● Vegan formula As I mentioned, I eyelids are oily, my shadow always creases after a few hours at work, but with this primer, it looks virtually the same as it did when I applied it. It makes my makeup budgeproof, creaseproof, and increases color payoff. It works for cream, powder, and foiled shadows. I have had this product for about 2 months, the NYX primer reminds me a lot of the Tarte product BUT as much as I loved that, the NYX primer is that much better. It goes on feeling drier than a lot of these other types of primers and it dries fast! It says it's clear on the packaging but I find it to be more of an off white colour (which by the way) doesn't interfere or affect any type of eyeshadow colour that you might use. I tend to use an ivory/vanilla, matte shadow all over my lids and nothing else so I pretty much just keep it simple...I find that the NYX primer makes my lids look clean and matte..,..no creasing whatsoever! I've tested it out for long periods of time, such as 16+ hours and it's flawless... I tend to use any remainder that might be left on my fingertips and put it underneath just below my lash line...it helps my gel liner stay in place...you need very little...just a quick dab... It is long lasting and waterproof -- long days, rainy days, Miami days, beach days -- it lasts! You only have to put a little bit on your eyelid and dab it, then apply your eyeshadow. My usage tip is that a little goes a long way and to set it with some residual translucent powder before going in with shadow - it makes it much easier to blend that way. I use the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania (loose shimmer) eyeshadows and the colors POP! I have also used it to do both of my sisters' makeup and they absolutely love it.

Glitter Gold + Classic Winged Liner for Monolids
I have an obsession with gold recently. NYX - Proof It! Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer stila - Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette NYX - Retractable Eyeliner in Black Glossier. - Pro Tip Brush Point Liquid Eyeliner NYX - Glitter Goals Liquid Eyeliner in Zodiac Queen Tips for Monolids: 1) Using a primer and a nude powder shadow helps prevent smudging. 2) Raise your chins and look down like you despise your makeup mirror when you draw your eyeliner, so you can get as close to lash line as possible. 3) Use a pencil first to dot/stamp the wing shape first. Also use the pencil to fill the lash line. Then use a liquid liner to perfect the eyeliner. 4) After your finish drawing your eyeliner, close your eyes and let the liner dry down before blinking. I know, ridiculous, but this will prevent eyeliner smudging when our lids fold in.

Not A Revolutionary Eye Product
TATCHA - The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment I was really excited about this product when I saw that it could provide dark circle coverage AND treat them over time! Unfortunately I don’t feel like it lived up to the hype... The coverage is very minimal, especially if you have more severe dark circles like me. If anything, it’s more of a brightener that still requires colour correction/concealer. In terms of treating my under eyes, I did not notice any improvement to my dark circles, fine lines, or dullness, even after consistent use. A couple important notes if you are considering getting this: - this is not great for dry undereyes as it accentuates the flakes and dryness - but if you have relatively smooth undereyes this goes on nice and sits well, even on no-makeup days - a little goes a very long way with this; you literally only need the size of a rice grain for each eye

IL MAKIAGE — worth the hype??
Who else is getting this ad pop up on their feed?! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Well, guess what!! I caved!! LOL! Here’s my first impression: IL MAKIAGE - WOKE UP LIKE THIS $44 ($5 trial price. If you like it, you keep it and the full price gets charged onto your card. If you don’t, send it back and that’s that!) Pros: 🥳 Hydrating, natural finish 🥳 They got my shade right (though I was highly, HIGHLY doubtful they would because the quiz was so lame, lol) 🥳 This beautiful B HAS A PUMP!! 🥳 This blended out soooo seamlessly 🥳 Buildable coverage* Cons: 🤔 Medium coverage (which I honestly prefer, but could be a con for some of y’all) 🤔 *So I’m not one to aim for full coverage, but I attempted to apply a little more product on my discoloration and current breakout and the foundation separated where I attempted this. Something to keep in mind 🤔 The price! I’m not a big fan of foundations or make up to be over $15 lol but maybe this isn’t a con for y’all 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just to clarify, this is a first impression. Will update down below. 😁 Xoxo Xenia On my face: Primer: L'ORÉAL - Infallible Pro Glow Lock Primer Works well for the most part. Ingredient alert: dimethicone! Holds the make up in place, but takes a while to set... or maybe it’s just my skin rejecting this B? Concealer: smashbox - Studio Skin Flawless 24 Hour Concealer Goes on and blends flawlessly... then creases. I’ve tried applying extra moisturizer/eye cream; I’ve tried baking; I’ve tried just setting it with powder; I’ve tried not setting it. I’m open to suggestions. 🥺 Blush: MILANI - MILANI Baked Blush Beautiful, pigmented... still trying to figure out how to apply the right amount if you can’t tell. Lol y’all makin’ me blush to👏🏼day👏🏼!! ☺️😂 Highlight: MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter Love! Though super glittery. 😬 Eyeshadow: tarte - Tarteist PRO Amazonian Clay Palette Applies and blends out nice. Dark shades aren’t so dark. Glitters are beautiful! Mascara: L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Primer Definitely helps make my lashes look longer and thicker prior to mascara application! I just dislike an extra step. Lol L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara Love this!! Lashes multiply, thicken, and lengthen! Buttt, the formula is too wet and my lashes lose its curl. (FYI: I have long, straight lashes and need to curl prior to application.) Brows: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade FAVE!! Eyeliner: IL MAKIAGE - Inkliner Nothing special here... felt tip liner that applies patchy and smudges when I smile. Typical for me with how my eyes work. Lips: it Cosmetics - Vitality Lip Flush 4-In-1 Reviver Lipstick Stain FAVE! e.l.f. - Lip Plumping Gloss Not the best, doesn’t necessarily plump. But I personally like it! Love the cooling affect.

My go to mascaras!
I have naturally long lashes but with these products my lashes are so long they literally touch my eyebrows! I first put on the L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Primer . I think this makes a HUGE difference compared to when I wear mascara without it. It just makes my lashes so much longer and fuller I love it! My everyday go to mascara is the tarte - Maneater Mascara . It’s not a thick full brush like the better than sex mascara. I feel like the small individual bristles grab every lash and keep me from clumping. The new one to my stash that I’m also starting to love is the L'ORÉAL - Bambi Eye Mascara . The bristles are comparable to the maneater and they really grab each individual lash. What is your favorite mascara?

Using Concealer as Eye Primer #CheriePartner
Using Concealer as Eye Primer #CheriePartner
When I first got introduced to makeup, I was taught that to make eyeshadow last longer than usual, eye primer was necessary. It’s a way to set up the canvas 🖼 The eye primer I was first introduced to at the ethical beauty shop I used to work at was Sweet LeiLani - Island Nights Blemish, Bags & More Perfector . It made a difference in how the pigment showed up; however it’s white and therefore leaves a bit of a pale residue on my eye, where I don’t end up using eyeshadow. Perhaps the issue here is with the shade available. The truth is there’s a lot of missing shades for women with darker skin complexions in the ethical beauty world, so sometimes for a novice, such as myself then, it’s easy to forget that certain products must come in different shades. It wasn’t until I watched a makeup YouTube tutorial, that I found out that you can use a concealer to substitute eye primer. Luckily I was able to find the SAPPHO - New Paradigm Concealer in the right shade for me: Caramel. I honestly haven’t gone back to the pale eye primer, which I got to try for free anyway! Check out the difference on my eyes between no concealer and with concealer, that difference is even more noticeable as the day goes on and with no concealer the colour gets lost while it stays in tact with concealer!

Best eye primer for oily eyelids
Best eye primer for oily eyelids
I have super oily lids. In summer my makeup isn't lasting for a few hours. Using an eye primer is necessary for me every single day because it effectively helps my foundation, shades and eye line last longer. Otherwise I always get my eyeliner and eyeshade stain on the upper and lower eyelids.   Before using this primer, I was fascinated by Urban Decay’s eyeshades. I have Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette and Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette. Both of them are well pigmented but sometimes slide off around my eyes. when I applied the eyeshade I felt there was no smudging or creasing but I found my eyeshade  wasn’t as pigmented as it in the morning. Then my friend recommended urban decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to me. She said that the eye primer can cover the skin imperfections and make a flawless base to apply eyeshades. I have read many reviews on this primer and finally bought one to try. I was amazed by the primer. It makes my makeup stays on the place even after 8 hours without creasing. it makes my eyeshadows go on smoothly and vibrantly. The foundation is lightweight with a light nude color. It is very easy to apply with the wand. Although the product is a little bit pricey for me, only a small amount goes a long way. The foundations dry immediately on my lids and make my  makeup blend smoothly, leaves my lid a beautiful matte finish. The foundation is also very easy to remove in the evening.  I have using the Urban Decay Eyeshadow primer for a few years after my friend's recommendation. it is a kind of must-have process during my daily makeup routine, especially in the humid climate. the product creates a beautiful base for eyes makeup, including lines and eyeshade, and dramatically reduces shadow creasing. I highly recommend this product to women who have an oily lid or need long-lasting makeup.

NARS vs. Urban Decay, for eye primer, the winner is...
NARS vs. Urban Decay, for eye primer, the winner is...
I bought them from Ulta a year ago. Both eye primers are very hype. My eye makeup is easily massed up in summer. Thus, eye primer is a key step for summer makeup. I use it after applying foundation. NARS - Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base NARS eye base is really good. I have been using it for almost a year. It may be expired soon, so the eyes are prone to uneven coating when dry. It is a white tasteless paste, suitable for oily eyelids. After using it, the color of eyeshadow will be brighter and lasting. When the eyes are dry, you can apply eye cream before makeup! URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Urban Decay eye primer is a product that helps improve the color and durability of eyeshadow. After using it, I was sweating for an hour and my eye makeup was still perfect! As you can see in Pic 2 and 3, Urban Decay eye primer looks more smooth, but in Pic 4 I rinse them in the pool and NARS is more durable.   Urban has been used for a long time, and sometimes it's not easy to apply. For me, I'll definitely rebuy NARS!

A magic eye primer your eyes can’t live without!👀
A magic eye primer your eyes can’t live without!👀
MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer I heard about this primer from one of my favorite makeup gurus on YouTube. It does just what I need it to. This primer is pretty awesome. I have naturally oily eyelids and eyeshadow/liner will not stay without a primer. I have been using Urban Decay Primer in Minor Sin for a few years now, and I love that its one step with the tint and primer in one. However, this Milani is 1/2 the price and I can just throw some shadow on top of it for a little color. The Milani eye primer has amazing staying power. I can easily get a full day of wear out if it and it is easy to remove at the end of the day. I just wish it came in a shimmery-champagney color like the Urban Decay.  It doesn’t cake or add texture like some previous primers I have tried. It goes on creamy and a tiny bit goes a long way. It doesn’t cover up veins or darkness but I can layer it over foundation without any problems. It dries quick, not too tacky so don’t I feel like I have to set it right away and it doesn’t crease unless I get too much- Easy fix to just wipe off the excess product. I find that with just concealer or foundation as my base my eyeshadow fades throughout the day so a primer is a must for me. My eyeshadow lasts all day just like it should, and colors are true to pigment. Overall I would definitely recommend giving this a try and you just can’t beat the price! Great product for those of us with oily lids. Highly recommend!

This Eye Primer Makes Me A Huge Difference
This Eye Primer Makes Me A Huge Difference
Many people question the usefulness of eye primer because it is colourless on the eyelids. I was one of those until I came across this product, Revlon’s photoready eye primer + brightener. Just like a face primer, an eye primer improves your skin texture, helping your eye makeup go on smoother and last longer. The product that I’ll be talking about does just that and even more! I bought this product three years ago at a drugstore, based on the recommendation from my beauty expert friend. She said that it is very affordable while doing a great job of preparing the eyes and can last a long time. Like she claimed, the product is only $11.95, and it lasted me for a year, although I did not use it everyday, but once in a while.  I really like the packaging because it is in a small, long tube that is perfect for carrying around inside a small makeup pouch or bag. It comes with a brush tip and you twist the bottom to get the product out. Although it is a bit difficult to control the amount because either too much or little comes out with each twist, but I have learnt to get the product on my hand first and take the appropriate amount and apply onto my eyelids. The brush makes the application very smooth and easy. The texture is very lightweight and easy to bend out. It brightens up my eyelids, helping the eyeshadows pop more, and it turns from liquid to a smooth barrier on the eyelid to help the eye makeup apply more evenly and long lasting. As someone with oily eyelids, I can attest that it does a great job of controlling oil and priming the eyelids. I recommend this product to everyone, because it works on all skin types, tones and textures!

Only 💰$3! One eye primer I keep buying
Only 💰$3! One eye primer I keep buying
e.l.f. - Shadow Lock Eyelid Primerwas my first eye primer product and I bought it at 17. I bought it because so many makeup bloggers and Youtuber had mentioned this eye primer and recommended it, also it was affordable for me as a teenager. It costs $3 for 0.8 oz. It does very well for my eye makeup. Since I used this eye primer, I can’t apply my eye shadow without it so I keep rebuying.  This is the best drugstore eye primer. Its price is so affordable and at the same time it performs pretty well on eyelids. There is no excuse to not give it a try! Let me share with in details. Eye primer is used for enhancing the longevity and vibrancy of any eye shadow. So does this e.l.f Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer. It does very well in extending the wear of my shadow. The shade I choose is sheer. It is a natural tone so that it would not change the hue of eye shadow and helps the eye makeup stay longer. This primer is perfect for oily eyelid. It prevents my eye shadow from getting creased and smudged, and keeps my eye makeup flawless and perfectly blended. Just applying it with a thin coat to the eyelid and blending in, my eyelid become smooth, seamless and ready for eye shadow. Since a little bit application is enough for once makeup, this primer can be used for at least 3 months even though I do makeup almost everyday. Eye primer is very useful for eye makeup. If you are a makeup newbie or someone who never add a step of eye primer to your makeup, you must try this e.l.f Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer. It is cheap and worth every penny!
