Pink Clay Exfoliant
This is the Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfecting Exfoliating Treatment. It is meant to help remove dead skin from the face.💕 I have combination skin and for me, this is great. I use this after cleansing and will gently rub it around then let it sit for a bit because clay gently removes impurities from the skin and this brand KNOWS pink clay!! The texture of this is thick with small particles that are dark in color within it. I would say there are just enough if not a little less than needed in terms of those for helping to exfoliate the skin. I really enjoy this but wouldn’t say it’s a holy grail product like their pink clay mask. However it is a great exfoliant and a great brand. I’ll definitely finish this bottle! 🌸 Four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SAND&SKY - Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment
Must Exfoliate 💕
Exfoliating is a MUST!!! Did you know that if you do not at least exfoliate once a week that basically everything else that you put on your face (masks, serums, etc) are just laying there!! Exfoliation shreds the dead skill cells off your face and helps give you a more even skin tone. The Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment by @sandandskyaus is a great exfoliator. Even for sensitive skin!!! I would recommend only scrubbing your face for up to 10 - 15 seconds instead of the full 30 seconds if you do have sensitive skin though!!! And it works super well with their clay mask especially when dealing with pesky acne!!! I simply adore everything they make!!! SAND&SKY - Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment

Tonight’s routine 😴
Hello everyone! I recently decided to upgrade my skincare routine from very basic (just cleansing and moisturizer most days) to something more intentional. My skin fluctuates between dry and combination (definitely very dry in the winter), I struggle with large pores, blackheads, acne prone (although my acne has improved greatly over the past few years, yay!) Here’s tonight’s routine, some staples and a couple newbies: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I have been using this cleanser for years with no complaints Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating TreatmentI received this sample in my IPSY bag and used it tonight in the shower, seems nice so far! I use TO lactic acid most nights but try to do a more intense exfoliator 1-2x per week THAYERS - Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Mist Toner Another longtime staple The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA I use this most nights and mornings for 1. To help with dark spots and scarring and 2. For the added HA which is a nice moisture boost ACURE - Ultra Hydrating Eye Cream This eye cream is newish to me but I am liking it so far Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Moisturizer My go to moisturizer for nights, sometimes daytime too if my skin is feeling dry ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night OilTrying this out tonight for some soothing after exfoliation
Products for acne prone skin!
🌻My skin type/concerns- I have very dry skin in the winter and a normal skin type during the summer! Occasionally I will get bad acne throughout the year, I also have bad redness and hyperpigmentation, and pores! 🌻this review is for products I have tried to reduce my acne! ✅worked ❌didn’t work 🌻Product list: ✅Murad acne cleanser- I discovered this cleanser about 8 months ago and fell in love! I love using this cleanser in the morning and night because it does a great job at clearing my acne and getting rid of my hyperpigmentation! it is amazing at reducing the acne I get on my skin! I see a huge difference from before and after I use this! It’s amazing ingredients is everything that helps with my acne! ✅drunk elephant c firma serum- I discovered this serum from a friend recommending this to me after trying it and telling me how much it helped clear her acne prone skin ! I have been using this for about 6 months! I always use this at night and morning because I know when I wake up my acne looks super reduced and my skin is very soothed for when I start the day! I always use this first in my skin care routine! The amazing ingredients help so much with my acne! ✅Kate Somerville exfoliating treatment- I saw this all over social media when it came out, and when I saw some reviews for it I knew it would be perfect for my skin and I immediately bought it! I have been using this for about 6 months! I also only use this at night and whenever I use it before bed I see the biggest difference in my acne when I wake up! I use this right after I cleanse my face! The very thick consistency of this is super helpful before going to bed because I know I will wake up with super moisturized skin and my acne will be gone! ❌indie lee cleanser- I found this cleanser from a family member recommending it to me, and saying how much it helped with her acne! I saw the pricy price tag but I still went for it! I used it for a couple months of the summer, and it was perfect for my summer skin type! This has not really helped my acne, it is a great product for my dry skin, but it did not help my acne! I saw no difference when I used this at night and when I would wake up nothing changed! I used this right before using toner!Murad - Clarifying Cleanser DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment INDIE LEE - Purifying Face Wash

Do’s of exfoliation
Do use an enzymatic cleanser to exfoliate if you have sensitive skin! I love a good enzymatic exfoliation, its gentle, its effective and works on all skin types, including sensitive skin. This formula starts off as a powder, add water, then becomes this frothy, foamy texture that gives a gentle cleanse; a good second cleanse. They’re a gentler exfoliation because theres no beads (physical) or acids (chemical) and works by digesting away dead skin cells from the skin, revealing bright, smooth skin in a gentle step. I love these, and would recommend to anyone! This is a great way to cleanse because it sheds dead skin cells, as well as removing residual matter like dirt, oils, left over makeup (not full makeup- this is definitely a second cleanse) and it does so really gently. These powders once emulsified are foamy, definitely not abrasive and there are no acids in here that you may be sensitive or intolerant to. Ingredients to look out for when looking for enzyme exfoliants: rice bran/rice enzyme, papaya extract, pumpkin extract. These are known ingredients that contain enzymatic exfoliants.
Ingredient spotlight: rice powder
Tatcha’s rice polish is a newer product to me, but one I’ve really been liking lately. I think it’s a great alternative to harsher physical scrubs because honestly, this does not feel abrasive at all. The key ingredient ground rice bran, which as you can see from the photo results in a fine powder. You pour a little bit into the palm of your hand and mix with a few drops of water, and it somehow transforms into a creamy foam that feels heavenly on the skin. It also has enzymes that provide mild chemical exfoliation. It claims to prep skin for makeup and reduce fine line and hyperpigmentation. This product feels very luxurious to use, but I don’t think I’ve seen any dramatic results from it. It does make my face feel very soft, but I haven’t noticed any change to my hyperpigmentation. I think it’s a really neat product as I had never used a powder-to-foam exfoliant before, and I don’t know if any other products that use rice bran in this way. This product is $65 for just over 2oz. You do only need a tiny bit for each use, and if you use it a few times a week, this tub should last a long time. However, I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing because at that price point, I’d like to see some more noticeable change in my hyperpigmentation.

Two Products I Love!!
ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub I’ve read a lot of reviews from people who didn’t like this product because of how big the exfoliating pieces are, but I love it. I wouldn’t recommend it for those with sensitive skin because it can be slightly harsh depending on the pressure you use and how often you use it, however because my hyperpigmentation is so deep, I appreciate how much it scrubs away. My skin is always so soft and polished right after using. I’m not sure about the brightening affect, but I’ve only been using it for a few weeks so I feel like it’s too soon to tell. I’d say if you don’t have sensitive skin and benefit from a strong exfoliate then this is the product for you! It also only cost around $9 at Target. 💪🏾 My second fav is this clay mask I got from my IPSY May bag! The Pūrlisse Match Green Tea + Lemon Detoxifying Charcoal Mask. Every clay mask I’ve ever used leaves my skin red, itchy, and dry; this one goes on thin, smells great and never fails to leave my skin feeling super soft and refreshed. It’s great for AM or PM use and gentle enough to be used 2 or 3 times a week if needed. I’m not sure how deep it goes, or how well it clears my pores, but it does make my skin feel good, and like I said smells great. A full sized bottle cost $35 so I’m not sure I’d buy it on my own, but I will miss it when this one runs out so who knows! To me, this mask is a great self-care item to add to your list for when you need a pamper night to revive and rejuvenate your skin.☀️
My Skincare Routine
I’ll go into detail about each one in separate posts, but this is everything I use as a collective. The only thing that isn’t pictured are my cleansers, I use Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser for the days I exfoliating or need something more gentle. I love how light the scent is, and how easy it is on my skin, but if you need something more acne fighting, I would suggest something stronger since this product is all about cleaning. I’m still learning what type of cleanser is for what type of skin, but it’s a gel consistency and has a nice smooth and thick texture, so I believe it’d be great for oily/combo skin types. I also use a turmeric brightening cleanser but can’t remember the name and I’m away from home. 😊

THE WORLDS BEST SCRUB
Let’s talk about quality . This scrub really refines your pores . It heats up once applied to your face . I’ve seen a difference and I’ve been using for less than a week . It has AHAs that really help lift off all your dead skin. I love the eucalyptus peppermint scent it has . I love using this product before bed time . Is it worth the money ? Yes . I’ve never seen a facial scrub work so efficiently . This is a keeper . Dark spots /hyperpigmentation then this is your friend . Trust me 💕🥰💕OLE HENRIKSEN - Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub
Wow wow I really should have two different posts but I really liked how I took this photo 🤪 The scrub: when you rub it in your skin you actually feel a warm sensation on your face. It opens up your pores. Gets all that yuckie stuff out. But most importantly it makes you feel so clean without the harshness of an exfoliate The mask: I use this when I have important days bc wow my makeup goes on so much better. I feel like it doesn’t sink into my face either (and I really don’t use primer like that anymore I will make a post about the one I do use 😛) My little brother (a teen) loves using these and he tells me it works really well on his face. So it’s a win in this household.

Fresh face mask set *edited 2/1/20
Okay I’ve officially hoped on the fresh bandwagon, my goodness I love them so much! Rose face mask? Very hydrating leaves my skin baby smooth The sugar face polish? A nice gentle exfoliation, I’m used to stronger exfoliation but this one I actually really like, smells like sweet strawberry sugar The lotus rescue mask is a more stronger exfoliant which I really like too, guys I’m crazy about exfoliating Then finally the black tea firming night cream- I loved this at first very beautiful and thick, but it’s also kinda oily, one layer wasn’t enough when I got out of the shower so I came back to do a second coat on my face and noticed my hands looked oily, then I felt my face and it feels like there is some oil leftover when the cream absorbs, might just mean ultra hydrating goodness but I’m starting to break out because of this, if you are interested in this cream buy the sample size or get it with a set because it’s way too expensive to buy on a whim. Black tea eye cream- I got a tiny sample of this thank god because after using it for a week one of my eyes has like this red bump rash and is developing milia those little white bumps, so this eye cream is a huge no for me. I’ll go back to my tatcha eye cream thank you very much Bought this set off fresh website and I really love the masks and I am glad I got to try the black tea firming night mask but that baby did not work out for me, too heavy on my skin which is weird cause I have winter dry skin. 4/5 cause the masks are worth it I love em
Oh baby. This is such a good treat when pampering yourself. I love the grainy, yet smooth texture of this. You can really tell it’s made with real strawberries! I take a little scoop and rub it around my face, this allows it to exfoliate, and some of the particles seem to break down. Then after it’s rubbed, let it sit on your face as a mask for about ten minutes then rinse off! Leaves such a good soft feeling and I love the fruity smell. Love this brand so much!!!🍓✨🍓✨🍓✨🍓 fresh - Sugar Face Polish Exfoliator

The Power of Mix & Match
I know it is tempting to stick with one brand only and use products within the same product line because it seems like the most comfortable option. However, it is also a good idea to venture out and try combinations of different products to figure out what works best for your specific skin. I love to use Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant alongside Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask to achieve baby smooth skin. dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator I have tried many exfoliators ever since I began taking care of my skin, and I believe that I have found the one! My skin feels so much softer and clearer every time I use it. In contact with water, it comes in a white powder form in the bottle and lathers up into foam. A little goes a long way; therefore, it is worth the price. Since it is a daily exfoliate, it is very gentle on the skin, and it still manages to get rid of all the dead skin and sebum. However, I would not recommend exfoliating every day because it would destroy the skin barrier, and overly drying the skin could cause it to produce more oils, which is the opposite of what we’re trying to achieve here. CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Overnight Mask Using even the gentlest exfoliator nevertheless stresses the skin. Therefore, I would always follow up with an overnight mask with deep hydration to repair and protect the skin barrier. I leave this product on overnight, and the next day my skin feels plump and fully hydrated. Together with the exfoliator, my skin feels extra soft, and my skin tone looks healthy and bright. This product is thicker than what I usually use but is perfect in combination with exfoliator because my skin feels extra dry after exfoliation.
Dermalogica vs. Good molecules
dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator This exfoliating is good and does the job but the price is way too high and it comes with only that much. It is such a good product but there are cheaper alternatives for this product that work the same if not even better. GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder This exfoliating powder is literally the same if not even better than the Dermalogica one I have noticed the difference and my face feels a lot smoother. I also noticed that I haven’t gotten any dry patches the next day which is good when I used the Dermalogica one I have dry patches the next day ( nothing to crazy just little ones here and there) the reason this gets a four star instead of five is because I really hate the smell of it but it just works so amazing and gentle on my skin. Overall, they are both good products but I would go to the good molecules one because it’s much cheaper and has benefiting and non harmful ingredients.

Do NOT recommend! If you’re using this, STOP!!
St. Ives Acne Control Scrub I started using this product when I was struggling with acne from playing sports, and I was super stressed in November of 2019. I was very new and UNEDUCATED in the skincare community who did not read ingredient lists or do any research on products. Please get educated with what you are using on your skin, which is precious. When I started using this product I did love the feeling of super soft skin and quick improvements of my skin. My acne did start going away. I loved it. But after looking into this product, I started realizing I was slowly damaging my skin. This scrub (which people should not use anyways) unfortunately leads to long term skin damage. The main ingredient is crushed walnut shell, which is not as broken down when used with water and on skin. It has jagged edges and can cause micro tears in skin. Although micro tears on your skin haven’t been proven, please do not take any risks and be ignorant. Some scrubs can be very harsh on your skin and this one is very harsh on your skin. They can also create broken capillaries on your face, which I do not recommend searching up. They can be caused by harsh skincare products, popping pimples to forcefully, UV damage (another reason to use sunscreen), windburns, etc.. Do your research. The point I am trying to make is to stop using these products. They are also made with fragrance which can be irritating to the skin. If you’re going to use scrubs, use as little as possible.
Acne be gone!🙌
Whenever I make a purchase on any facial scrub I check to see if it’s dermatologist tested! A lot of people had different options on this scrub, especially the brand. I LOVE it, it’s not harsh on the skin, or leave u with any redness or burning! If u use it regularly, within the first week or so you will see a DIFFERENCE!! I use it 2x a week. It’s the only scrub I know to really have that exfoliation feeling, feels as if it’s a whole new layer of skin! For it being an acne product, it don’t dry your skin out, it leaves your face soft as a baby’s butt, and does a tremendous job cleaning the acne up! Only con is that it’s not an automatic result, you don’t really tell a difference until at least a week or 2 of using it. The best feeling on your face, you don’t want to rinse it off because it feels so relaxing! 5/5 for me!✅ ST. Ives - ACNE CONTROL APRICOT SCRUB

I tried this Aveeno series
Last month my face was in a terrible condition. Probably because of the weather and long-time wearing mask at work. I turn from a combination to sensitive skin type. My girl recommended me to try the aveeno series. She is sensitive and she has been using their products for a while and loved it. I’ve tried their body lotion which I was okay with. Since the price is quite friendly and it is actually quite easy to get from drugstores especially during this pandemic, i decided to give it a try. I got these three in Walmart. Pretty pricy. I went with a cleanser, scrub (I know it is not recommended to use scrub when skin is sensitive, but my T area is pealing a lot. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub Lessons learned. Ended up my skin was getting worse ! So girls, do not try to use scrubs when your skin is in a terrible condition) Smells great but this product just didn't work out for my skin type. Acne started showing on my skin after using this product. All in all not really bad but not amazing. It’s a good cheaper drug store facial cleanser. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Brightening Facial Cleanser This is a very gentle cleanser. Average drug store face wash. I like how gentle this product was on my skin and I love that it didn't dry out my face after using it. As the name says it has this silvery finish to it that makes the illusion of having a shiny skin. I prefer liquid form cleansers but since I bought it I am still using it, I can't say I love it. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 This moisturizer is good value for its price range however the texture did feel very thick on my skin. Not greasy goes on smooth and has very light scent. After using for a week, I noticed that this moisturizer felt too oily for my skin. I didn’t like the way it felt on my hands when putting it on my face. I would say it is a great product for winter times. Overall this moisturizer felt too oily for my skin. I didn’t like the way it felt on my hands when putting it on my face. The whole series of Aveeno is very gentle and would work for many sensitive skins, I personally do not enjoy that much. Maybe because I am a combination that goes sensitive. I would really prefer something lighter during my sensitive time.
Best drug store find exfoliator, immediate GLOW
This stuff is so good for a true clean. It really exfoliates well and feels like a LAYER is removed. You’ll come out of it with an immediate glow ☀️
Face Masks: Aesop & Dr. Jart
I am not a huge fan of face mask. I only use masks for two concerns: deep cleaning and hydrating. For deep cleaning, my favorite are Aesop's cleansing masks. Cleansing😊: Aesop PARSLEY SEED cleansing mask Aesop - Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque This one is what I'm using currently. Before this, I was using Aesop chamomile anti-blemishes facial mask Aesop - Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque, which is soothing and calming in addition to cleansing,. It can also help deal withacne. I have used 3 jars of it and thought, why not try something new? So I bought this cleansing mask. However, compared with chamomile one, there is no other advantages besides the more hygienic and good-looking packaging. So personally, I prefer Aesop chamomile anti-blemishes facial mask.👍 Hydrating💦: Dr. Jart+ Soothing Hydra Solution Dr. Jart+ - Dermask Water Jet Soothing Hydra Solution I have also used this mask for several years. It is my favorite sheet mask! It's a silk mask, very thin and can be apply to skin very well. It's super hydrating. I can feel my skin pumped up and very smooth aftering using it. I also love using it after sun damage, it can help repair skin barrier perfectly and leave my skin soothed and refresh. LOVE it! 😘
Aesop-Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque
(TRADER JOES) BLUEBERRY & ACAI FACE SCRUB
This scrubs very meh to me. It’s a facial scrub that uses blueberry seeds and some other grainy texture to physically exfoliate, and AHAs to chemically exfoliate. Its main job is to exfoliate (get rid of dead skin) and leave the face soft and supple. It’s pretty gritty, so I see how it physically exfoliates, but even if there IS any AHA in there it must be a pretty small amount. This scrub is definitely more of a physical than chemical exfoliator, as I’ve had it for a year now and it doesn’t give me the glow that real AHA serums and masks do. Plus, it’s just a wash off scrub, so how could the AHAs even be on there long enough to be effective? I don’t hate it, it’s just not that good. I don’t think it’s that effective, but it smells really nice and it’s like $6 at Trader Joes, so obviously it’s pretty affordable which is good. I wouldn’t really recommend it, it’s just not impressive and I’d rather use that $6 for some of their frozen chocolate bananas. 1/5 stars.
This is such an underrated face scrub!!
have been using the Acure brilliantly brightening facial scrub for about two months now. This product is a physical exfoliant that claims to brighten skin and aid in uneven skin tone. It is full of clean ingredients such as French clay and sea kelp and it is also vegan and cruelty free. The texture of this product is thick but thins out when mixed with water. I bought it at my local co-op for around $ 13 USD.However, I have seen this brand at a few grocery stores or you can order it online. This product made my skin so soft with regular use (one to two times a week). I have very sensitive skin and the exfoliating bits in this product are gentle enough to not irritate my face. Over all I’d recommend this product to everyone and give it a 10/10 . It fits all skin types, is affordable, and the tube lasts for so long.
Acure Brightening Facial Scrub
This has been my go to face scrub product for a while now. I really love this brand and how natural their ingredients are. This scrub is a little harsh and that’s the only reason I don’t give it 5 stars. I definitely don’t use this product daily because of this. The scent is great, very citrus/lemon. The price of this product is great for the quality. I definitely recommend this scrub to anyone! ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub
