Skin Care Journey
The start: In 3rd grade, I started having acne. I would scratch it and A COUPLE TIMES, it left big black spots on my forehead. Amazingly, it didn’t leave any scars. The whole time, i would scrub my face everyday with the Neutrogena - Acne Proofing Daily Scrub(2017). That didn’t help. I’d also dap benzoyl peroxide treatments on the spots, like the ZAPZYT - Acne Treatment Gel(2017). Same story untill the summer after 6th grade. I got interested inn K-Beauty and tried the APRILSKIN - Real Carrot Blemish Clear Serumand APRILSKIN - Carrot Blemish Cream(June 2020) every day. it was AMAZING. It helped stop my habit of scratching my face and it brightened my skin, the acne on my face (forehead and sides only) was controlled. After a couple weeks, (now late June 2020) I purchased dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliatorand used that once a week. I also started using moisturizer, like Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel and BURT’S BEES - Daily Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. Then, I started tretinonin and it wasn’t pretty. Excess oilliness, dryness, my skin kinda freaked out. and no results after 3 months. I’ve decided to stop using tretinonin and let my skin calm down. So far, I’ve gone back to my routine of cleansing with APRILSKIN - Carrot Blemish Creamat night and applying APRILSKIN - Real Carrot Blemish Clear Serumafter. In the morning, I wash my fave with water and put on PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+. That’s been doing wonders for me, so far now, I’ll sticking to it. Lesson: Don’t freak out your skin! Stick with the simple, tried and true routine.
Holy Grails for Oily Skin
When I first began my skincare journey, I didn’t know which kinds of products are best suited for my skin type particularly. It took me a lot of trial and error to find these must-have items for oily skin, and I hope that you’ll enjoy them as much as I do. My Skin Type: I have extremely oily skin, but also inner dryness. My skin produces a lot of sebum on the surface, but I often feel that my skin is dry and tight on the inside. Therefore, I’ve always wanted to find a product that can balance the oil and hydration of my skin. In addition, I have acne-prone skin as well as sensitive skin with lots of redness throughout my face. I hated that a lot and always focused on finding mild products that will not cause irritation to my face. Lastly, I have uneven skin tone and skin texture, probably due to all the breakouts and acne scars on my face. Since I have oily skin, the pores on my face are huge. Product One: dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator$89 This product is a top seller of the brand, and I can definitely see why. It claims to help achieve brighter and smoother skin by removing dulling surface debris, sebum buildup, and dead skin cells. It is a rice-based powder that activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid, and Rice Enzymes to polish skin to perfection. A Skin Brightening Complex of Phytic Acid from Rice Bran, White Tea, and Licorice helps balance uneven skin tone while a super-soothing blend of Colloidal Oatmeal and Allantoin calms skin. Although it claims to be gentle enough for daily use, I only use it once a week because I noticed that if I use it too often, my skin becomes weak and red. I like to use it in the morning after I have cleansed my face. I would dispense about a half-teaspoon of powder into very wet hands and create a creamy paste by rubbing hands together. Then I would apply it to my face in circular motions, avoiding the eye area. I would gently massage for about one minute, then rinse it off. I always follow with a repairing moisturizer to soothe and hydrate my skin. I love this product because my skin immediately looks clearer and more radiant, and my skin feels smooth and soft. My skin tone looks more even and the appearance of pores was reduced. The price is quite high, but I could use this product for a long time. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family, and repurchase in the future. Product Two: ESTĒE LAUDER - NightWear Plus 3-Minute Detox Mask$70 I like to use this product whenever I want my skin to be in its peak condition. It is a refreshing, liquid-light clay mask that draws out built-up impurities. My skin immediately feels incredibly smooth and bright! I can feel the gunk being cleared out of my pores, and as a result, my skin looks clarified and revived, with a beautiful healthy glow. The clay ingredient helps absorb accumulated toxins and debris, so pores look reduced and my face looks clearer, which preps my skin for a beautiful makeup base. I like to use it the night before any important events. After cleansing the face, I would apply it across the face in a thin layer, and wait for three minutes. This is such a convenient clay mask compared to others because this product dries up super fast whereas I usually need to wait for 10 to 15 minutes for other clay masks to dry. I am not mad about the price because it is in a huge tube and a little bit of the product goes a long way. The product is so effective that I recommend everyone to give it a try, especially people with oily skin!

Packs a punch 🥊
This is one product serious about exfoliation. ⚠️ You have to use caution with this. Be extremely gentle when using and don’t overuse this it you will hurt your face ⚠️ Claims: triple-powered microdermabrasion treatment amplified by active enzymes, micro-exfoliants, and caffeine for smoother, visibly radiant skin in as little as two minutes. Key ingredients: -Yerba Mate and Guayusa: Highly caffeinated extracts accelerate the formula performance for radiant skin in just one use. -Papain (Papaya) and Bromelain (Pineapple): Active enzymes break down the dead skin cells to smooth skin texture. -Bamboo and Diatomaceous Earth: Sustainable, physical micro-exfoliants resurface skin’s texture. How to use: Apply an even layer to clean, wet skin. -Leave on for up to up to two minutes, allowing enzymes to activate. -Add water and gently massage in circular motions to complete visible resurfacing treatment. -Rinse off. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial I’ve said a bunch that I prefer chemical exfoliation over physical. This mask actually claims to be both! That said, I really do love this. BUT it hurts if I rub one second longer than I need to. It feels like tiny sand and smells very earthy. In my opinion it looks like hummus 😂. Once you message in, if stops hurting while leaving on my face. I do not enjoy using this but I LOVE the way my face feels afterwards. It seriously feels like glass it’s so smooth. I can only use this once a week as my only exfoliation though. I’ve tried it twice since I got it. I love the results for sure. Also, make sure your skin is WET not damp but WET. It helps a bit! I think this will be my heavy hitter product that I will use on the days that my face is super dry and patchy from hypothyroidism. Have you tried this? I’d love to know your thoughts! 💭
How I Stop Maskne 💥
Maskne, just one of the unforseen side effects of COVID, but something we can manage! Maskne is caused by rubbing, irritation and occlusion. The rubbing of the mask causes irritation through friction and chafing. The material of the mask can also absorb the natural oils on our face potentially leading to dryness and sensitivity. Occlusion from the mask can cause clogged pores which can ultimately lead to pimples and acne. So what do we do to manage it? Well for me I mostly experience dryness and clogged pores so I follow two steps! Step 1 is exfoliating weekly with the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial because it's both a physical and chemical exfoliant. It eliminates dry, flakey skin and also goes deep into the pores to breakdown dead skin and debris. Step 2 is to use a hydrating mask to keep your skin happy underneath your mask! I use the SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask because it's thick and creamy, has ceramides in it and also has niacinamide which can help to treat acne. Some extra tips: don’t wear makeup underneath your mask wash your masks often don’t use a harsh detergent when washing your masks if possible wash your face right before wearing your mask and right after #CheriePartner

It Is Worth Every Dollar You Spent!💯💯💯
If you’re reading this, lucky you! Because I will be tackling THREE different issues we all might face with our skin and will be giving you THREE different solutions! Do you ever feel sometimes your skin is feeling big and puffy especially after you wake up? This is because of water retention. To get rid of this puffiness, I recommend washing your face with cold water and a face wash or cleanser with microbeads. I personally have oily, acne prone skin and I strongly recommend the Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub. This is wonderful for my skin because it is so cooling, and it also has microbeads which turns my puffy face into a chiselled work of art! One down, two to go! With my acne, I had some scarring that was STUBBORN and wouldn’t leave. I tried a multitude of products and when I landed on The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. The product has a gritty texture similar to how microbeads feel, and they work well with my skin type. It is quite strong, so I started with twice a week and worked my way up to every alternate day. The Vitamin C is so good for my skin because it almost immediately removed all the scarring on my face! But make sure NOT use it when you exfoliate because the two don’t go together, I’ve learnt, and it can irritate the skin. However, the product itself is a gift from above. The third and final product from my list of treasures is the fresh - Umbrian Clay Pore Purifying Face Mask. I bought it at Sephora for $58, and I have to say that it is worth EVERY dollar. After just one use, it felt as though my skin was reborn! I could feel a significant change in the texture of my skin, and even my acne was disappearing after a couple of uses! The clay was so soothing and smelt like heaven! Usually I’m not one for clay masks, but this one broke all records in my book!

😱Poor Air Quality Made Me Changed My Skincare Routine Followed By Dermatologist😔
First of all, I wanna say that I'm really sorry about the bad things happening recently. The apocalyptic orange skies over California and Oregon caused by recent wildfires and subsequent smog have millions of Americans worried about air quality and pollution more than ever. Though uniquely visible on the West Coast, climate change is taking effect all across the country (and the world), which means there's an urgent need to figure out how to protect skin from polluted air now. To help understand the issue, Dr. Loretta, licensed dermatologist Loretta Ciraldo, MD, FAAD, shares her suggestions. She is a clinician and brand founder who has been studying the relationship between environmental aggressors and the skin for more than 40 years. 😨Skin Problem caused by air pollution To the obvious threats to our health, air pollution can cause a slew of skin issues, from age spots and wrinkles to acne breakouts. Ahead, she educates us on the best practices for how to deal with it — because, in a time where everything feels volatile, your preventative skin-care routine is one thing you can control. 💁🏼♂️Preventative Skincare Routine Wash your face twice a day: This one may sound intuitive, but it's important to wash your face twice a day, every day, especially when you're in contact with polluted air. "Since pollution levels can be high indoors as well as outside, you need to wash in the morning and at night to avoid exposure," Dr. Loretta says. "With this in mind, I actually created a hydrating cleanser that features a hydrolyzed algin to absorb pollution particles that can penetrate into our pores." 👍Youth to the People's Superfood Cleanser: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant CleanserI brought this product recently and I really fall in love with this. Not only the packaging is attractive but also the ingredients is all-natural, which I feel I'm using the nature juice to wash my face. The ingredients double-down on the power of antioxidants, which simply put, help your skin cells defend against pollutants. Exfoliate regularly: Along with washing your face, a gentle exfoliating routine personalized to your skin will help you get an even deeper clean. "Exfoliation will remove pollution particles that are often lodged in the surface layer of skin, and stop them from penetrating more deeply," Dr. Loretta explains. "You can exfoliate with a glycolic acid anywhere from 1-2 times a week to every night, depending on your skin type and tolerance of exfoliating products." 👍Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Pore Exfoliating Treatment: Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating TreatmentThis Kate Somerville formula contains chemical exfoliants, like lactic and salicylic acids, which help unclog congested acne-prone skin. I can feel it really works to make my pores less noticeable. Every time I use it, my skin feels softer, smoother, and more evenly textured. Protect the skin barrier with antioxidants: As Dr. Loretta explains, pollution damages the skin's protective lipid barrier, thereby increasing the chances that you'll break out. "The lipid barrier is what protects our skin from environmental factors, like climate shifts and increased ambient temperature caused by fires," she says. "Thus, it's important to use barrier-replacement skin products — from serum to sunscreen — that have active antioxidants to replenish skin's lipid content." 👍Sunday Riley - A+ High-Dose Retinoid Serum: SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol SerumThis product is a concentrated retinol treatment that contained a 6.5% retinol blend (5% retinoid ester, 1% liposomal-encapsulated retinol, and 0.5% blue-green algae). The yellow-tinted serum smooths fine lines, uneven texture, and tackles pore congestion. I can see the texture on my cheeks from acne scars has diminished in appearance and credit to this product! Don't forget eye cream: The same way you don't want to forget sunscreen or a face mask, don't skip your eye cream in the morning. "Thin and delicate eye skin is affected by smog and pollution more than any other area of the face," Dr. Loretta warns. "Your eye area will be exposed, even when you're wearing a mask. So, be sure to use an antioxidant eye cream — maybe one infused with peptides, which will protect your skin and fade dark circles caused by all this stress." 👍Ole Henriksen's Banana Bright Eye Crème:OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème I love this product! It contains vitamin C which is really helpful for my dark circles, while collagen works on firming up the undereye area. The cream has a yellow tint that helps it do its illuminating duties. If you are looking for an eye cream, try this one! Wear your face mask: Some good news: If you're living in an area with poor air quality, wearing your face covering can actually help prevent breakouts. While maskne is a separate issue, Dr. Loretta tells us that a face-covering actually acts as a shield from environmental aggressors like smog and pollution. "Wearing a face mask outdoors helps block pollution particles from penetrating into the skin," she explains, adding an important reminder: Don't pull it on and off. "If you expose your skin to pollution in the air and then put your mask back on, those pollution particles can directly penetrate the skin." (Information from refinery29.com) All products mentioned are personal recommendations. Hope you guy like it and find it works for you!🤗
My Skincare Dream Team
Right now I don't have a job, and I don't have a steady income, so all my skincare gifts and money comes from birthdays and Christmas. I plan on getting a job soon so the things I ask for from others, hopefully, I can get for myself. Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating TreatmentRight now I don't have an exfoliator in my skincare right now. The best thing I have is an Exfoliating sand thing my mom bought. From using this I have noticed little to no difference in my skin. I want to try a chemical exfoliation but if my skin doesn't enjoy it then I will go the physical route. THE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant SerumRight now I have a vitamin C serum that works on brightening my skin but there are a few setbacks. (I'll do a review soon) This serum just seems better overall and I would love the change in pace. COSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment TonerMost of the products on this list are things I need to replace our things I don't have. A timer is one of those things I don't have that I feel like I would need for my skin. Right now my skin is dull and patchy, I feel that this would help my problems. pixi - Rose TonicPixi - Rose Tonic Again, things I don't have, and I always want to have more than one option so I’m not disappointed if I’ve doesn’t work, I always have a backup. This tonic was recommended by James Welsh for combo skin. I know sent is a worry for most but most of my products are unscented. On top of that, my skin isn’t very sensitive to sent. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling SolutionThis is my most wanted product. Like I said, I would love to try a chemical exfoliant. This one is the best-reviewed, Hyram and James approved, and just look fun. THE BODY SHOP - Drops Of Youth Youth ConcentrateThis one is the only one I want that i have used before. My mom got a sample when she went to the body shop and I have been hooked since.

🔍 Physical Exfoliation: Cancelled?
💎 Isn’t Physical Exfoliation Bad for You? No, but like many things, physical exfoliation gets a bad reputation very often due to the misuse of products or the poor formulation of some others (the infamous St. Ives 💀) How to Use Physical Exfoliants Effectively/Gently: ⭐️Many people do not evenly distribute the facial scrub, and fail to even distribute the product across the entirety of their face, thus leading to ineffective exfoliation in some areas of the face (e.g. the sides of the nose and forehead) ⭐️Many People do not Emulsify (add water) the product on their face, and/or apply onto already damp skin; thus contributing to the possibility of over exfoliation and irritation, but most (if not all) physical exfoliants recommend emulsifying the product ⭐️Many people run to darn HARSHLY. Your skin is yours forever, treat yourself with care, you deserve it (no excuses!)🤍 ⭐️ Not all physical exfoliants are created equal. After trying the St. Ives Apricot Scrub, don’t assume all scrubs are formulated the same way! ** if you have interest or preference for physical exfoliation over chemical, then power to you, don’t feel ashamed because the trend is in favor is chemical exfoliation. Both are valid 🤍 💎 Review: BRUJITA - Purple Reina Facial Scrub 💜the brand has no added fragrance, the scents I detect come directly from the use of several natural ingredients, making this product is the antithesis of irritating. This provides delicate and thorough exfoliation, even for mature skin. It’s formulated with wonderful smoothing and creamy texture, using fruit seeds This, again, is one that emulsifies beautifully and a little goes a long way. 💜Brujita Skincare is a small business created by a Latina Esthetician and her products are incredibly innovative, and they use scientifically backed ingredients to give you the biggest bang for your buck. I will keep supporting them as long as they continue to make great simple products. 💜The Purple Reina Facial Scrub is featured here to discuss physical exfoliants, because I really think that exfoliation can go so wrong and misunderstood so easily. Many people don’t want to deal with AHA BHA or PHA percentages and stinging (oh so much stinging!), so physical exfoliation is the simple go-to formulation for exfoliation. Wonderful physical exfoliants to consider: ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub BRUJITA - Santa Limpia Facial Scrub teamí - Green Tea Facial Scrub dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder ** if you have anything to add or more Exfoliants to recommend please mention them in the comments, thank you 🖤

Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Let's get to know about exfoliants more! No matter if you're a skincare junkie, expert or just a beginner, skin exfoliation can be very tricky and confusing and most of the mainstream skin advices can be minimally backed by science and geared towards selling the product or giving you false information. That's how skincare myths are formed. I'm talking about some pretty known myths about Exfoliation : ✨Like, Physical exfoliants/scrubs are bad for your skin and they cause micro-tears that lead to infection or they're worse than Chemical exfoliants: Physical exfoliants that contain irregular granular sizes and shapes are definitely going to irritate your skin. But if you're a well-experienced skincare person or someone who knows how to handle gentle, small granular exfoliants well like professionals, in such hands it can be a very effective. Take Micro-dermabrasion or Dermaplaning for instance. If you haven't done it before it's likely to cause you some irritation, I wouldn't say damage as it's a truly strong and deep term to use. Our skin can naturally heal itself to a large degree, that self-healing capability can be overstressed with exogenous (outside/physical) factors and sometimes Indogenous (inner) factors such as your ethnicity, genetics and some skin conditions like dermititis, rosacea or psoriasis. So, my point here is, the myth that only physical exfoliators cause any damage to our skin is incorrect. On top of that, physical exfoliants cause micro-tears is a far stretched myth that doesn't have enough scientific evidence to support. The thing about it is anything harsh on our skin is going to cause inflammation and redness but chemical exfoliants can cause the same if done too much. For our skin to break or tear and get a cut there needs to be a lot of pressure and sharpness to the object. The scrubs don't necessarily tear/cut our skin unless you're rubbing it too harsh or with a lot of pressure and over-doing it. Chemical exfoliators can overstress and irritate our skin at the same degree as well, if overdone. Damage is a strong word for any skincare regimen that is backed by science. It's a fairly vast topic to discuss here but here's the crux of the topic that I'm trying to highlight. Not over-exfoliating is the only key to keep our skin healthy and non-irritated. Be it physical or chemical exfoliants. We need some of the dead skin cells on our Stratum Corneum. Meaning, we should let our Stratum Corneum have a layer of some dead skin cells along with it's biome. The diverse yet integrated functions of the SC collectively serve to detect, protect, respond, and/or adapt against several exogenous factors. Now, why I like or majority of people like chemical exfoliants is because they seem to be hustle free, you apply a thin layer and leave it overnight or for few minutes and it thins down our Stratum Corneum that is the deal skin cells on our skin as well as penetrates deeper in skin and decongests it. But for many people chemical exfoliants can be quite intimidating and if they like to do manual Exfoliation it's totally fine as long as they're not putting a lot of pressure and overdoing it. ✔️👍 I like both physical and chemical exfoliation. I use these chemical facial peeling solutions or masks as well as gentle scrubs to take care of my dead skin. These are some of the exfoliators I use. My skincare products and routine : any thoughts?
Hi loves, so even though I already have a pretty good routine for my skin, I feel like I still have so much to learn and therefore maybe other adjustments to do with my habits to really have a good and effective routine for my skin! Here’s what I usually do : (this is for someone who has combination skin; the t-zone gets oily, other parts tend to be dry and sometimes even sensitive; i never had major acne too so i wouldn’t label myself as “acne-prone skin” type of gal🤷🏻♂️) 1) CLEANSE : I wash my face with the acne wash by Benzagel Benzagel - Acne Wash ** If I run out of product : I use another cleanser from Alya alya skin. - Foaming Micellar Cleanser *** After one of the products listed here, I use the cleansing butter from Wishful to remove excess oils/makeup before anything else! HUDA BEAUTY - Clean Genie Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 2) EXFOLIATE/SCRUB : I exfoliate my skin (1-2 times a week) with Wishful products HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub 3) Tone : I’m still pretty new to the “skincare” world and I never toned my skin up until today so feel free to suggest/recommend me products you tried and/or heard of that were good, that’d be great 👼🏻💓 4) Essence : I use to put some of the serums of L’Occitane en Provence to replace the essence I still don’t have! Then again, feel free to suggest me products you think would work!! Thanks 💓 5) Serum : I ran out of the product itself but usually I was using (like mentioned before) L’Occitane en Provence’s serum and it really felt nice on my skin! L'OCCITANE - Peony Perfecting Essence 5.1) Serum #2 : I can also switch with L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum 6) Moisturize : I’m using Wishful’s product called HUDA BEAUTY - Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer and it really feels nice on my skin! 7) Sunscreen : Right after moisturizing my skin, it’s recommended to directly apply sunscreen on top of the moisturizer of Wishful (or HUDA BEAUTY) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Lotion SPF 60 8) Oil : Even though I had the sample version of the actual thing, I’m currently working with L’Occitane en Provence’s youth oil, which leaves my skin shiny and cute 🥰 L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Divine Youth Oil 9) Eye cream (or gel): Apparently it’d be nice for me to use some eye cream (based on the analysis that Cherie provides me) but I’m not currently using and not so sure of which products I should/shouldn’t be using! Then again, if you know any good stuff that’d work perfectly with my type of skin, let me know in the comments!! That’s all for me, I know I don’t have the perfect skincare routine but I’m ready to consider any constructive feedback on the thing(s) I could try/do/change to improve it! Thanks, have a good one 💓

Hi Cherie friends, I’ve been going through many posts in this community. They are very helpful. I’m 28 & from past 4 years I’m facing lot of issues with my skin acne , redness, breakouts, dullness, uneven skin tone. I recently started following morning & evening skin care routine since 2 months . I’m new to the skin care regime. Good morning 😊☀️
Let’s talk about my updated morning routine. So I worked out all of my Kylie skin products and my face is so happy. I use the origins scrub cleanser, the good molecules niacinamide toner, the good molecules niacinamide serum, the origins ginzing eye cream and the origins mega bright oil free moisturizer with spf 30. the origins cleanser makes me feel so refreshed and awake🧡. It has little beads in it so it’s also and exfoliator. I try not to rub too hard because of that but this cleanser makes my face feel so clean and hydrated after. It also smells like oranges. This product replaced the Kylie skin foam cleanser (which kinda burned my face a little🤢). ($21)ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser the good molecules toner is literally the best😍😍. This toner is supposed to brighten, make pores less visible and even out your skin tone. It did just that. I am so happy with the way my skin has turned out. I always had issues with discoloration and this toner helps with that😍. My skin is brighter and smoother and I have this toner to thank for that✨. ($14)GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner the good molecules niacinamide serum does just about the same thing the toner does. It helps brighten my skin and minimize the look of pores. I love it. This product replaced my Kylie skin vitamin c serum (which did nothing). I love this serum. All you need is a few drops. ($6)GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum the eye cream has really helped my dark circles and it makes me looks more awake. I love that it’s tinted and has a sponge tip applicator. This product replaced the Kylie skin eye cream (which did nothing). BEWARE that i have the on the go version and not the full product. ($25)ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff for moisturizers I use the mega bright with spf if I’m going out and the ultra hydrating boost if I’m just sitting in the house. The ultra hydrating boost is a sample that they sent me and I was just trying out. I like it but it is kinda tingly on the skin. I’m not really sure if it’s supposed to be or not. But is does leave my skin looking hydrated so I’ll give it that. I’m not really sure is I’m going to be buying the full size product. ORIGINS - GinZing Ultra-Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream The mega bright however feels nice on the skin, makes me look hydrated. This has also helped even out my skin tone but since it’s $59, I probably won’t buy it again😭. It’s just a little too expensive for me😭ORIGINS - Dr. Andrew Weil For Mega-Bright SPF 30 Skin Tone Correcting Oil-Free Moisturizer I literally love my morning routine and for the fist time I actually see a change in my skin and I couldn’t be more excited ☺️☺️. But who knows, maybe I’ll switch it up on day. But for now this works for me 😊💖

This daily morning routine has saved my skin 🍊
Start every morning with this routine and some hot lemon water. 🍋 Quick disclaimer I’m a HUGE Ole Henriksen fan 💫 I use Ole Henriksen truth juice daily cleanser to cleanse my face everyday, on days that I feel a little more oily or just want a good scrub on my face I’ll use Ole Henriksen pore-balance facial sauna scrub. It feels sooo amazing, it’s hot when your scrubbing it into your skin and it’s cool as soon as you wash it off 🥵🥶OLE HENRIKSEN - Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser Next I like to use both a toner and an essence. I use Ole Henriksen balancing force oil control toner. After cleansing I use this with a cotton pad going all over my face and neck.OLE HENRIKSEN - Balancing Force Oil Control Toner Next, I use FRESH black tea kombucha essence. I just put a couple drops into my hands and pat it all over my face and neck.fresh - Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence Nyc Limited Edition Next, I use Ole Henriksen truth serum (Ive been using this for years and it’s amazing I’ll probably use it for many many more) Again just putting it into my hand and putting it all over my face and neck. OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Serum I then use The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid 2% + B5 before I use my moisturize. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide creme all over my face and next. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Followed by my eye creams I use a very small amount of The Ordinary Caffeine solution 5% + EGCG The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Then I use a pea sized amount of the banana bright eye creme by Ole Henriksen to follow. OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème After all that I top with Joise Maran argon daily SPF 47 JOSIE MARAN - Replacement Pump for Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 & Argan Oil Hair Serum (not in the photo because I broke the bottle 😫 ) I wanna love this product but it’s super suppppppper heavy/creamy for my skin.. so if your a little more oily just watch out for this! I am looking for something a little more light weight so if you have recommendations, let a girl know 🙋🏽♀️ Thanks 💫💞
Let’s talk about this scrub from ole Henriksen☕️☕️. First things first, this scrub heats up🔥 so be careful ⚠️⚠️⚠️. As you can see from the second picture the scrub burned me a little. Other than it burning me, I actually like it. It does feel nice on the face especially when you’re in the shower. It’s not too abrasive. If you do use it, again be careful. This really does scrub the impurities away. Am i going to buy it again, maybe. I’m just upset it burned me a little. OLE HENRIKSEN - Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub

This is such an underrated face scrub!!
have been using the Acure brilliantly brightening facial scrub for about two months now. This product is a physical exfoliant that claims to brighten skin and aid in uneven skin tone. It is full of clean ingredients such as French clay and sea kelp and it is also vegan and cruelty free. The texture of this product is thick but thins out when mixed with water. I bought it at my local co-op for around $ 13 USD.However, I have seen this brand at a few grocery stores or you can order it online. This product made my skin so soft with regular use (one to two times a week). I have very sensitive skin and the exfoliating bits in this product are gentle enough to not irritate my face. Over all I’d recommend this product to everyone and give it a 10/10 . It fits all skin types, is affordable, and the tube lasts for so long.
(TRADER JOES) BLUEBERRY & ACAI FACE SCRUB
This scrubs very meh to me. It’s a facial scrub that uses blueberry seeds and some other grainy texture to physically exfoliate, and AHAs to chemically exfoliate. Its main job is to exfoliate (get rid of dead skin) and leave the face soft and supple. It’s pretty gritty, so I see how it physically exfoliates, but even if there IS any AHA in there it must be a pretty small amount. This scrub is definitely more of a physical than chemical exfoliator, as I’ve had it for a year now and it doesn’t give me the glow that real AHA serums and masks do. Plus, it’s just a wash off scrub, so how could the AHAs even be on there long enough to be effective? I don’t hate it, it’s just not that good. I don’t think it’s that effective, but it smells really nice and it’s like $6 at Trader Joes, so obviously it’s pretty affordable which is good. I wouldn’t really recommend it, it’s just not impressive and I’d rather use that $6 for some of their frozen chocolate bananas. 1/5 stars.
Lip products, lip products, and lip products!!!
I just got back from shopping and brought these home with me! So far all of the products smell and look really nice! Review coming soon 🙃 First product is the the CRÈME shop - Hello Kitty Unicorn Macaron Lip Balm Rainbow Sherbet Second product is MILANI - Fruit Fetish Lip Balm in kiwi watermelon and mango coconut Third product is Dr. PAWPAW - Scrub and Nourish I can’t wait to tell y’all how (hopefully awesome) all these products are!
MILANI-Fruit Fetish Lip Balm
For babes who love black coffee and soft lips
I LOVE everything about frank body - Original Lip Duo ☕️👄❤️ frank body - Original Lip Scrub I am a coffee lover and much prefer this scrub over fruity/candy ones. It has the perfect amount of exfoliation, not too gentle and not too rough. It melts into your lips as you scrub away the dead skin. Personally, I like to rinse the scrub off because I think it’s weird to ingest the dead lip skin I just sloughed off (is that a weird thought?) However, it is safe to consume so lick away if that’s your thing! frank body - frank body Lip Balm The balm is the BOMB! It has no color, so I like to use it for more than lips. It smells very lightly of coffee. I almost missed the smell since I layered it over the scrub. I use my finger to apply to my lips and then rub any leftover product from my finger tips to my nail cuticles. I’m all about that multitasking! The balm sinks into my lips after about 5 mins or so, and I am left with soft supple lips!

Over-Exfoliated Skin: What To Do NextOver-exfoliation has a plethora of symptoms, ranging from redness and inflammation, tightness of the skin, dryness and flakiness, irritation bumps, rashes, breakouts, and a stinging sensation. With the rise in popularity of at-home chemical exfoliation, it’s easier than ever before to take it a step too far. Everyone is trying out TikTok-famous products like The Ordinary’s AHA 30% and BHA 2% Peeling Solution without an understanding of how strong it really is. Chemical exfoliation is all the rage now, due to its ability to clear up acne, even out the skin tone, and give you a glowy look. But none of these things will happen if you don't exfoliate properly!Sep. 29
