I live where the sun shines virtually every day! Therefore, my routine is photo protective. From my morning Vitamin C + antioxidant serums, to my evening gentle acid exfoliants, I have built my skincare routine around anti-aging preventatives. I recently began working topical retinol at low % into my routine and get monthly Y:ag laser facials to stimulate and encourage collagen production. I’m about to turn 26, and I am very lucky to have plenty of collagen and few wrinkles. I spent a lot of my early 20s breaking the cardinal rules of anti-aging including smoking cigarettes (I’ve been nicotine free for over a year now!) and skipping SPF most days. I even had a brief bout of tanning booth addiction 😟 Now I use spf products as a daily routine. I was committed to Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 until a girl at Ulta recommended StriVectin - Full Screen SPF 30 Clear Finish which has a lower SPF and similar consistency as Unseen. I’ve also tried the Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40AND Supergoop! - Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40, neither of which I was really crazy about. The gel/primer consistency of both Unseen Sunscreen and the Strivectin spf are more conducive to my skincare routine and they both sink into my skin without leaving a greasy feeling. Now that I have an office job and wfh, I’m spending about 10 hours/day staring at two huge computer monitors, so I think I’ll stick with the Strivectin screen that also includes Vitamins A, B, C, and Pro-Vitamin D (?) and claims for protect against UVA/UVB, Blue Light (computer screens), and pollution. It’s affordable, comfortable to wear, a little goes a long way, and performs well under makeup when I’m wearing it. The lower spf isn’t a problem for me because I’m not standing in direct sunlight or anything. I think if I had my previous job working outside everyday I’d want a higher spf. Another line of defense I like to fall back on are SPF tinted moisturizers. A while back I had tried the PÜR - 4-in-1 Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 which is honestly such a dream. This is a photo of me wearing it on a midday walk. It’s low to medium coverage, buildable, hydrating, and stays put! I don’t have very oily skin or especially dry skin so I feel it is a happy medium for those with normal or combo skin types. By no means is it full coverage. I slap this on (using my fingers to apply) if I’m planning to go for a walk in the sunshine or on a hike, in addition to my base layer of SPF. Of course, the best preventative is keeping the sun off your face at all costs, so you’ll usually see me on the trails with one of my favorite floppy hats, or sometimes if I’m feeling jazzy - my Bluestone Sunshield (see a few posts back). Do you wear SPF every day? Have you made any lifestyle changes for the sake of beauty/anti-aging? Share your tips or thoughts below!

Chemical Sunscreen Verzuz
One thing about me: I love a mineral sunscreen because of the way it interacts with the skin as a physical barrier on top versus being absorbed like a chemical sunscreen, but I will say one of these sunscreens is a strong contender for my favorite. Any guesses which one?👀 Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 A chemical sunscreen after my own heart. The first time I put this on, I was amazed by how smooth it felt. It didn’t smell strong or remind me of the beach. If I wore makeup, I could see this easily being layered with my other products. Down side: As minimal as it was, I have felt some irritation using this sunscreen and it’s no surprise because it’s a chemical sunscreen (chemical sunscreens have a lot more ingredients compared to mineral ones, so it can be hard to pinpoint what ingredient causes a reaction if you have one). FENTY SKIN - Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen I wanted to love it, I did, but I’m scared of fragrance especially when I have to put it on my skin. This moisturizing spf does smell sweet. This one actually reminded me of my beach visits because it has that typical sunscreen scent once the floral one wares off. Some I’m still dealing with my acne, I don’t want to take too many chances with the products I use, so overall I’ll be sticking to mineral sunscreen. What have y’all experienced with chemical sunscreens?

I like it but .....
Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 I like it but for me it is very drying, I have combination skin but I am drier than oily, its application is easy, it blends very well, it does not leave white but I do not like it! I'M LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT SUN PROTECTOR FOR MY SKIN

FULL Gentle Hydrating Skincare Routine
This has kind of been the theme of my entire Cherie page since its creation, but I’ve been needing to really hydrate my skin more since the weather’s become colder. Having rosacea means I always need to do extra research on the products I try. So after some experimenting, trying a LOT of new products, and deciding to stick to some old favorites, this is the routine I’ve come up with for myself: AM Routine Cleanser - Inkey Oat Cleansing Balm: A recent switch for the winter. Leaves my skin feeling nourished and hydrated, but doesn’t tackle my acne very effectively. Might switch back to my old cleanser (Cosrx Good Morning Gel) and just use this when my skin is feeling tight/for double cleansing. Toner - FAB Wild Oat Ultra Hydrating Toner: Another recent switch. This toner is so hydrating that I don’t need to use hydrating masks or overnight creams as frequently as I used to and it’s very calming. Serum - Peach & Lily’s Glass Skin Refining Serum: This is definitely worth the hype. My skin has been noticeably smooth since using it. Spot Treatment - TULA Go Away Acne: Uses benzoyl peroxide to work on acne which can interfere with rosacea, so I don’t use this on my cheeks but it works well in other areas. Not a repurchase for me. Eye Cream - Cetaphil Deep Hydration Refreshing Eye Serum: I said recently that eye cream doesn’t work for me, but I’m starting to get wrinkles under my eyes and thought it was important to kick up the hydration and attention. This one is quite gentle and pretty affordable. Moisturizer - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion: Undefeated! If I need some extra hydration I’ll add a couple drops of Leo Oil and mix on my hand using my ring finger. Sunscreen - EltaMD SPF 46 on days with no makeup or ILIA Serum Skin Tint: Both are mineral sunscreens and unscented with protection in the 40s. PM Routine Cleanser - The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm: ...and I’ll double cleanse with my old Cosrx Good Morning Gel if I wore makeup that day. Toner - FAB Wild Oat Ultra Hydrating Toner Serum - Paula’s Choice CALM 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant or 10% Azelaic Acid Booster: I like to alternate between these two serums. The BHA (salicylic acid) targets pores and redness. The Azelaic Acid Boost contains salicylic acid too, but is more effective at targeting rosacea specifically. Eye Cream - Veriphy 20/20 Eye Cream: Received this as a gift and I actually really like it! Contains ingredients like peptides, niacinamide, and cucumber extract. But it’s wildly expensive and I won’t be able to repurchase. Moisturizer - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion + Astrologiens Leo Oil: At night I always combine these two if I’m not using my Naturium Sleeping Cream (2 pumps + 2 drops). I have individual reviews on a number of these products, so if you’re interested in learning more about something feel free to check those posts out or just ask a question here :) Most of these products are generally rosacea and sensitive skin safe. I have type 1 rosacea for reference.

Unpopular Opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️
I received this sunscreen absolutely free from Elta MD so thank you guys y’all are lovely for doing such awesome Giveaways. Now as for my thoughts. I was so excited to try this; it has amazing reviews and it has niacinamide in it so what’s not to love? Right? Wrong! This sunscreen pilled up so bad on my face. No matter what I put under it or didn’t put under it. Even upon reapplication it still pilled up. Now when I used this on my hands and body it was completely fine; no pilling. Just on my face did I have the issue. So I gave this to my mom to see if she has better success with it. If not it was a great hand and body sunscreen for me. It does go on white (when I saw the name I thought it would actually be clear, but no. The clear in the name refers to its skin clearing ingredients.) however, it works in without too much effort and didn’t sting around my eyes. I think this is in fact a great sunscreen it just didn’t work at all for me and my face. So I will move on to my next sunscreen.

Update
Post acne scarring🥴 Ultimately, “less is more” is why my skin isn’t breaking out daily. No more painful, cystic acne. I got my skin adjusted to the bare minimum.👍🏼 I slowly introduce new products. No acids (Salicylic, Lactic, etc…), no exfoliating, no topicals. This stage of my skin journey is to allow my skin to heal & do what it’s supposed to do without disrupting the healing process. I still provide my skin with the necessary ingredients needed to assist with barrier repair & a healthy biome. Ceramides, Probiotics, Hyaluronic Acid, Colloidal Oatmeal, Niacinamide, Green Tea. * If anybody could recommend any more barrier repair products &/or ingredients i’m all 👂🏼 ✨Self Luv/ Self Care✨ With consistency, comes results💋

The best sunscreen for dry skin☀️
Y’all… Let me tell you how dry my skin gets. My skin gets so dry that it looks like my skin is actually flaking. I have struggled with dry skin my entire life and I hardly find any products that truly help my skin. I reached out to a friend who gave me a skin care routine and she suggested this sunscreen PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ it is honestly the best! Not only is it scent free but it hydrates my skin without burning it. I have high sensitivity to a lot of products and this is one that doesn’t make my skin irritated or break out. If you struggle with dry skin, try out this sunscreen! Not only does it help with the dryness but also you should always be protecting your face with sunscreen!!!

Battle of the sunscreens ☀️🧴
Ever since the purito ‘scandal’ I went into a sunscreen shopping spree and tried a few. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ - I loved this sunscreen, it was moisturizing, didn’t leave my face oily or with a white cast and offered supposedly SPF 50 protection. Some lab results tested it and it came back at around SPF 19 and another test came back at SPF 30ish. I obviously no longer count on this sunscreen as my primary sunscreen but when working from home and far from windows I wear it and try to reapply it, not throwing it away until it’s finished! It’s an affordable physical sunscreen. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50 - this sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen. I learned after I bought it that one of the ingredients is not good for the coral reefs so never buying again. It burns, leaves my face oily and has a strong scent that I don’t like. As a chemical sunscreen it doesn’t leave a white cast. ETUDE - Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk SPF 50+ PA+++ - I bought this off of a recommendation for a substitution for the purito one. It’s very light and absorbs easily but it does leave a white cast which lead me to buy the next one. Australian Gold - Botanical Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 50 - this sunscreen is awesome. I never wear makeup so I was nervous I’d look weird/different with a tinted sunscreen but that’s not the case. The color is to offset the white cast that is hard to not have with a mineral sunscreen. It’s pretty affordable at $10 for 3oz. Though I’ve tried multiple sunscreens I’m not done experimenting and trying new ones, just waiting to use up these four first. I go through sunscreens pretty fast though, with using them everyday and having to reapply once or twice. Let me know what your experience with these sunscreens has been and if you have any recommendations for physical sunscreens that don’t leave a white cast and don’t leave your face oily!

Skincare 101: the Basics
Three products are all you really need to care for your skin. Well, maybe not *you* specifically, but let’s be frank: most people don’t *need* a twelve-step routine to take care of their skin. If you’re starting off in skincare, your financial situation has changed, or your skin has been flaring with redness/flaking/breakouts, opt for a super simple routine for a month or two to see how your skin does without the extra frills. It may surprise you how little you need to keep your skin happy! • 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿: Cleanse with water in the morning, or opt for a hydrating cleanser if you’re oily, workout, or just enjoy cleansing often. Double-cleanse with that hydrating cleanser (and/or an oil-based balm) in the evening, or opt for a single cleanse with a gel or foaming cleanser. My milky faves are CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser and HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash , while my deep-cleansing faves are CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser and PAULA'S CHOICE - RESIST Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser . • 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿: Moisturize morning and night, regardless of your skin type! Look for products with ceramides and fatty acids to nourish the skin barrier. If your skin is more oily, opt for lightweight moisturizers like gels and lotions. If your skin is dry, creams and balms are going to be better for binding hydration and moisture to your skin. My faves for oily skin? CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion , VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream , and PAULA'S CHOICE - Probiotic Nutrient Moisturizer . My dry skin faves are NATURIUM - Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream , THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer , and DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream . • 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻: The most important step! Sunscreen is the ultimate anti-aging product, so reapply every two hours y’all. My main loves for all skin types are PAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 and elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 . Those with dry skin, I’ve been enjoying CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 , though paler folks may prefer DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 . What’s your fave step? What extra step would you add in that’s not featured here? 👀 Keep up with the tag #Skincare101 to follow along this guide I’ll be posting to cover some basic concepts in skincare!

One Week Using Differin
Experience: I started using Differin about a week ago to deal with my maskne and dark spots. Ever since I started wearing masks more frequently, my skin has essentially freaked out. It’s super sensitive and dry, especially around my mouth, but I get cystic-like acne along the area where my mask touches my face. I decided that I was going to try Differin as my last resort before going to the dermatologist (cause I’m still nervous about going to doctor’s offices, unless absolutely necessary because of covid). The instructions recommend daily use; however, I began my first week by using it every other day since I’ve had negative experiences/reactions with other active ingredients before. Since then, I’ve begun using it every night. I use this in the evening after cleansing and applying moisturizer and Aquaphor’s healing ointment. Pros: I definitely already see a visible improvement in my skin, especially with the hyperpigmentation that I’ve dealt with. I do use other products that help with brightening, but I’ve been using those products for quite a while and haven’t seen such a drastic improvement until now. Cons: I experienced a few small breakouts around my chin, but they went away pretty quickly. I have yet to experience any significant purging/dryness, but I also didn’t jump immediately to daily use. Other Products I Use + Frequency: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser (everyday, AM/PM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser(everyday to remove sunscreen, PM) The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA(every other day, alternate between this and the next product/AM) The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%(every other day, alternate between this and the previous product/AM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream (everyday, AM/PM) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30(everyday, AM) Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant(everyday, use as a lip balm and to protect sensitive areas of my skin when applying Differin)

⛅️End of Summer SPF roundup! Face & body🧴
Just because Summer is coming to an end, your love affair with daily UV protection never should. These are the sunscreens I tried this year that I wanted to share with you guys. 🌤An obvious disclaimer: my skin is very pale & I can’t totally predict how these products will blend into deep skin tones regarding “white cast” (the washing out effect that zinc based sunscreens can have) But I tried my best to give an idea of the texture before & after blending/absorbing, check out the slides🤍 KINSHIP - Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturzing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 Texture: creamy & moisturizing Finish: very dewy/shiny SPF: 32 Type: Zinc Oxide 22.4% I did a thorough review of this probiotic moisturizing sunscreen in a previous post, it’s very detailed⚡️ Has a light natural vanilla-oatmeal scent & a slight beige tint. I love this one for being so moisturizing & comfortable to wear, but the finish is quite dewy, so I feel I need powder over this to wear it in public. sun bum - Mineral Face Lotion SPF 30 Texture: creamy & lightweight Finish: matte SPF: 30 Type: Titanium Dioxide 5.3% /Zinc Oxide 2.4% This is such a great inexpensive option for a matte, mineral sunscreen that leaves very minimal white cast. The cast is slightly blue, though it blends away on my skin, this could be problematic for darker tones. The texture is so creamy yet very lightweight, it reminds me of makeup primer. It’s quite moisturizing, has no scent & is the most matte out of the 3. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 Texture: liquidy & lightweight Finish: matte SPF: 42 Type: Zinc Oxide 12.5% /Octinoxate 4.9% /Octocrylene 3% This has been my go-to for years. It’s a combination of mineral & chemical sunscreens, & is oil free. You have to shake the contents really well first, but it has a little shaker ball inside to help. I love the texture of this, really light & absorbs well without being overly matte. I do always need moisturizer on under this though. The white cast is really minimal even with reapplication, & it’s never irritated my dry skin. Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen Spray SPF 45 Texture: lightweight liquid aerosol Finish: satin/semi sheen SPF: 45 Type: Homosalate 15% /Oxybenzone 6% /Octisalate 5% /Avobenzone 3% /Octocrylene 2.35% Honestly this makes my skin feel itchy & tight after applying, even after I moisturize. I’ve been steering away from purely chemical sunscreen formulas like this, but chemical sunscreens do work better for sone people. I wouldn’t recommend for dry or sensitive skin. sun bum - Mineral Continuous Sunscreen Spray SPF 30 Texture: creamy, medium weight aerosol Finish: velvet matte SPF: 30 Type: Zinc Oxide 14% Has a sort of tropical scent & feels good on the skin. Though some white cast, it’s not the ‘blue’ tint the face lotion has. Full review in a previous post.

What I threw in my Hospital bag🏩
Because I have a neurological disease, I have to go to the hospital pretty often & stay for days at a time. There have been times where I had to leave so suddenly or I wasn’t conscious, that I didn’t get to bring any skincare beyond the lip balm in my pocket. In the past I used to just throw every moisturizer sample I had in my backpack, but as you may have guessed, being in a new environment under stress is not the best time to test new products on our skin. So this most recent time I had to be quick, but managed to grab some helpful items... A “hospital skincare” bag will never be perfect, for me it’s about maintaining comfort. You may have noticed I didn’t bring a cleanser, I recommend you bring one if you can with a few of your own face towels (towels in the hospital are so scratchy & have been bleached) Me not bringing a cleanser is just realistic for me because I likely will not be up at a sink... I brought: BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O wipes Biodegradable & free of Silicone, Petroleum products, Sulfates & Alcohol. These are a really nice gentle face wipe. I haven’t used to remove makeup though. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 Don’t forget to still wear sunscreen even if you’re chillin inside! This has never irritated my eyes, so for me it’s a great option to apply with out a mirror. CAUDALIE - Grape Water Face mist at the hospital is a must! This is my favorite. Full review is my first post.🍇I would love to bring my travel size but I ran out. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask shade: Gummy Bear 🐻 Great for keeping my lips moisturized under my mask😷& overnight. Full review in previous post. sun bum - Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm Less important with my mask on, but I highly recommend this mineral sunscreen lip balm with non-nano zinc for all skin tones! Its free of fragrance, parabens & petroleum products& it’s less than $5 SHANGPREE - Marine Jewel Nourishing Mask & MAY COOP - Raw Sheet are two of my favorite sheet masks, check out my full reviews on both in previous posts. Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol 🍵🍃I also bring this calming serum, it’s over 76% green tea leaf water & 2% panthenol (a B5 provitamin) I’ll be doing a full review soon on this & the other 2 serums Korean skincare brand Beauty of Joseon has to offer. HERBIVORE - Rose Quartz Facial Roller To relive tension in my face... I give this 4 stars because mine kind of squeaks at me & that’s not super relaxing lol. SHANGPREE - Diamond Luminous Cream A very rich Niacinamide cream I’ve been using. Full review of this K-beauty gem coming soon!💎 Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-in Conditioning Spray Mainly for some aromatherapy🌹

Easy Breezy Minimalistic Look ✨
You know your skin is happy & healthy when no filter is needed! 𝒩𝑜 𝒻𝒾𝓁𝓉𝑒𝓇, 𝓃𝑜 𝑒𝒹𝒾𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔 - just a couple quick iPhone portrait shots. I’m not a huge selfie kind of gal; I prefer to stay behind the camera but I felt put together for a change! I have minimal makeup on - this is an easy breezy routine that will embrace your natural skin. And YES, I know my eyebrows are way overdue for a waxing, but as someone with an autoimmune illness, my health comes first. 💞 𝒲𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝐼 𝒰𝓈𝑒𝒹 I double cleanse at night so in the morning, I go in with something super gentle to just refresh my skin and remove oil from my skin. So today I used Drunk Elephant’s E-Rase Milki and then 4-5 spritz of the new Sweet B mist. Then I mixed Protini & D-Bronzi, and applied Umbra Tinte for SPF. My skin was looking extra glowy today so to tone it down and reduce the appearance of my pores, I lightly went over with Girlactik’s Luminous Face Powder in Light with a big, fluffy powder brush. Then I used KVD Vegan Beauty’s Cake Pencil in Trooper & Thrive Causemetics’ Liquid Lash Extensions mascara. For the lips, I used Jeffree Star’s Velvet Trap in Celebrity Skin with Bite Beauty’s Yaysayer Plumping Lip Gloss in Cider Donut! ✨ DRUNK ELEPHANT - E-Rase Milki Micellar Water DRUNK ELEPHANT - D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Hydrating Spray DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 girlactik - Luminous Face Powder KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Cake Pencil Eyeliner thrive causemetics - Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara™ JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Velvet Trap Lipstick BITE - Yaysayer Plumping Lip Gloss

quick post-workout skincare - it’s important!
As a D3 student-athlete (any fellow lax players on here??), weightlifting and working out is a huge part of my life, and since delving more into skincare, I’ve realized how important post-workout skincare is. Since we are in quarantine, I work out at home, but during normal times, I’d be in a gym with lots of other people’s sweat and germs all around me, and that’s just not fun for skin! A lot of the time I’ll have to wake up at 5:30am to do a morning lift, and often I’ll have to do a practice in the afternoon, and I’ve found that this routine works for any time of the day if I don’t have time to do a full wash-up right after. So here’s what I do to take care of my skin after a workout—whether that be at home, at a gym, or on the field! I typically start off by splashing my face with water and use a clean washcloth to gently tap my face dry. I wet the washcloth and wipe the sweat from my chest and back. Then, I go in with my GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water to clean off that sweat and dirt. Next, I use #BOBBI BROWN - Face Mist[products]#[FiveStars] to calm and hydrate. I’m running out of this face mist so I might consider making my own face mist or buy the J.R. WATKINS - Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin Spray because I’ve heard good things about it. Finally, I seal in the moisture with The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil . If the sun is still out, I will layer on a sunscreen because that is literally the most important step! I love dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ , although with the Purito controversy, there is concern that it’s not as protective as they claim. Another sunscreen that’s ok to use is Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 . If I feel I need it, I might use some PANTENE - Never Tell Dry Shampoo to just freshen up my hair a bit. This routine just ties me over until I can take my nightly shower and do my nightly routine. It certainly leaves me feeling refreshed and ready for the ready of the day, especially after exhausting workouts!

Today is my WISHTREND Black Friday box opening day! Can you imagine how excited 😛 I’m have been looking at the box for two weeks before I get it out of quarantine. The longest two weeks ever!!! I tried COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser and I'm from - Rice Toner today. I like both but I found my cheek a bit tight after the COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser it might be something to do with the low PH so I may not use it everyday. I'm from - Rice Toner is the best, so hydrating which reminds me of LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer I will keep trying.....

Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30
Hey Babes🖤 Happy Thursday ! I hope your week is off to a great start😊Today I will be reviewing Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30. Enjoy these sun kissed photos🥰 (my skin has been on its best behavior lately lol) This sunscreen is black owned and created by women of color (as it should be!!) This sunscreen is very popular for black and brown people so I was super excited to try this out. The sunscreen states that it is free of Oxybezone and Octinoxate which means it is free of toxics. It is made with natural ingredients such as Avocado, Jojoba and Carrot Juice. It also vegan, cruelty-free, and safe for the environment. My Experience: I have been using this sunscreen for about a month now. The best thing about this sunscreen is that it doesn’t leave a “sticky feel” on my skin. The sunscreen is super lightweight and doesn’t feel like an extra layer on my skin. It is very moisturizing without leaving my skin greasy and oily. I highly recommend this sunscreen for people of color, specifically black people because this sunscreen leaves no white cast on the skin. Price: $18.99

FAV BLACK GIRL FRIENDLY SUNSCREEN☀️
I am an advocate for skin care, so protecting my skin daily is super important. MYTH: African Americans and people of color don’t need to wear sunscreen... that is beyond false and that’s why it was so important for me to find a sunscreen that works with my skin. Black girl sunscreen feels so nice on my skin, it does not leave a white cast and works perfectly under makeup as well. I have used many sunscreen brands, but what draws me to this specific product even more is the fact that it’s black owned! I’ve just recently started using this product a couple weeks ago and a little goes a long way! So, for the price it is definitely worth every ounce. Protect your skin🖤 BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30

Easy SPF makeup setting spray
Easy SPF makeup setting spray
I’m obsessed with coola products and have been for years. I recently discovered their makeup setting spray and given that it had added SPF I knew I needed to try it. This really sets the makeup nicely. It has a bit of an alcohol smell to it but thst disappears on application. The spray feature allows for dispersion if product easily and equally. It also comes in a nice glass bottle! Will definitely repurchase. COOLA - Makeup Setting Spray SPF 30

Sunscreen is ESSENTIAL
Sunscreen is ESSENTIAL
Having been playing soccer since I was 5 I am constantly in the sun and up until recently never wore sunscreen, and I would never burn. The most that would happen is that my cheeks would get a slight flush to them. However, despite my seemingly inability to burn, I have recently come to the epiphany (thanks to the beauty lovers of the world) that sunscreen will help prevent wrinkles, premature aging, and so much more. I wear at least an SPF 30 daily, but given that it’s generally hot and sunny wear I love, I tend to reach for SPF 50 more times than not. Below are the two sun care products that I use daily sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 I use this sunscreen pretty much everyday! It’s extremely light weight and feels like there’s nothing on your skin. I love that it isn’t greasy and is also water resistant. I highly recommend this for anyone who works out, especially outside, because your sweat won’t take it off. Supergoop! - AcaiFusion Lip Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Yes! Your lips need sun protection, and this lip balm is perfect. One application last pretty much all day and leaves a glossy finish.
