Asking for tips/suggestions!!!
The Ordinary - Retinol 1% in Squalane haven’t used it for a long period of time to give a review. But there are times i would apply this at night and my skin is feeling soft like a baby’s butt. The way i integrate this product in my routine, is that i would use this only as my active and the rest of my skincare is gentle and basic. Cerave hydratjng cleanser, kiehls calendula toner, then this serum, and finish it with a nourishing cream such as drunk elephant lalaretro whipped cream! I know retinol can be very drying which is why i used the moisturizer that has the most beneficial ingredients. I got myself two bottles thinking i would go through this quick, but i thought wrong. Which is why i started using it on my neck every day, i have some noticeable lines that i would like to get rid of. i would buff it with the cerave lotion, and apply a few drops on the palm of my hands and apply it on my neck and chest. I only use this once a week, ive learned it the hard way and used so much actives at once that my skin became hella sensitive. Any suggestions as to how i could benefit more to this serum? YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Tonerno ratings, because i haven’t used it yet! I ended up buying the smaller bottle of it, because for now i’m finishing up the drunk elephant aha/bha serum before i could try this product out. Please give me tips on how to use it, how i can incorporate it in my routine, should i just not have bought it at all? Lol 🆘

Some of my faves to stay hydrated in the cold
*I have oilskin that isn’t particularly sensitive* Derma-E Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Serum A super hydrating serum that works great for sensitive skin and can be used day and night. It helps reduce redness and is chock full of Omegas. I use in the morning and night after applying the next product which is... Hanskin Skin Essence Safe for sensitive skin. a K-Beauty essence which is a product I’ve experienced with this year to replace or enhance the use of a toner. I’m oily and so this doesn’t work well as a toner but it’s great to apply after cleansing + toning to add moisture into your skin. It’s super light and you literally only need to drop the bottle in your palm one time and dab directly on your face. After applying this I follow up with a serum as mentioned, then an oil and moisturizer. Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cleansing oil This is also safe for sensitive skin and the first cleansing oil I’ve tried. I’ve had this for almost a year. After first I was mainly using it before applying a face mask but as the weather gets colder, I’ll be using this once a day before applying a standard cleanser (double cleansing as the kids say) Fresh Sugar Lip Polish I got this from Sephora when I was eyeing Fenty Beauty’s lip scrub but the sales girl redirected me (sorry Rih Rih!). Lip exfoliation is something I should’ve gotten into sooner. Especially with the amount of 🌬🌲 I do. I love this scrub though, it’s made with sugar and super moisturizing. You really don’t have to apply a lip mask after scrubbing on your lips and rinsing it off but I do which brings me to... Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Baybeeee when I tell you my lips have never felt butterier?!? This right here is something your lips will thank you for. Best used before bed or as a prep before applying lipstick (which I learned from the queen, Tracee Ellis Ross) Lastly, and certainly not least Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream This is one of the most slept on skin care gems. This ultra moisturizing cream is made of olive oil, beeswax, honey propolis and Royal jelly 🍯 🐝 and guess what? I bought it for less than $10 at Walmart! The ingredient properties include antioxidants so it’s great for acne prone skin. I use this as my post-face mask moisturizer or in between serum and moisturizer application in the morning to give my skin an extra layer of hydration to protect against the elements outside. There is a version of this cream made by Taui that is less thick that I prefer (this will make you look greasy at first, Taui does not) when I’m getting ready to go out but where am I going right now? No where! Sugar lip Polish✨
I’ve been loving this Fresh Beauty lip polish and it’s absolutely amazing! I’ve been having chapped lips lately and this saved my lips! It’s a very sugary texture and it’s just the perfect exfoliant! It really moisturizes my lips before bed. I like to use this at night and seal it with their caramel lip balm! This product is my new favorite for lip care hands down! And guess what?? It contains Shea butter and jojoba oil to help nourish your lips. I use this probably three times a week and ever since I started using this, my lips had been waaaay less cracked looking! They have honestly amazing lip products that I think it’s super worth the money! $$ fresh - Sugar Lip Polish Exfoliator

Price Doesn’t Matter (Except That It Does)
Pause: price doesn’t matter in that it doesn’t innately affect the quality of the product. I used a (thankfully gifted) $160+ cult favourite serum and was comically underwhelmed with how horrible it smelled, how unpleasant the texture was, and how irritated my skin was despite the fact that I had used vitamin c serums just as strong previously. And then I look at a community-renowned $8 niacinamide serum that is, by all accounts, a decent serum... that my skin hated and I detested due to the tacky texture. I’ve used, and loved, skincare that ranges in price from $6-$300+, some gifted and some purchased with my own money. I’ve opted for lovely $15 moisturizers when I couldn’t afford my $60 favourites. I’ve paid extra for specific ingredients that are a bit more pricy. What I’ve Learned? Price means little to how my skin will like it. But price still matters. If your budget for skincare is small, your options similarly size down. But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t good skincare in your budget. Of course, opt for prescription if you can afford it- 1% retinol from the most expensive brand can’t compare to a basic 0.0125% tretinoin prescription cream. Look at your skin, do a bit of research, and see where in your routine that you can splurge a bit, or where you can go strictly utilitarian. If you have access to CVS, they have 40% off coupons regularly and CeraVe is bangin’. If you’re international, check out the go-to The Ordinary who ships internationally, or go through CultBeauty to get ahold of similarly affordable brands like Versed and The Inkey List 💰 In the end, price really only matters in that it affects what brands you opt for and how large your routine is. You don’t need $110 moisturizers or $120 exfoliants, though they often offer better textures and more well-rounded formulas. Just cleanse, moisturize, and slap on some sunscreen, and you’ve got your bases covered 💕
It’s Magic ✨
DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum is magic in a bottle !This was my first chemical exfoliator I have ever used. 12% AHA/BHA is definitely strong as a starter exfoliator, but it is absolutely perfect and gentle for my sensitive skin! The 12% AHA blend of lactic, glycolic, citric, and tartaric acid helps exfoliate dead skin cells which helps improve skin texture and minimize the appearance of fine lines. The 2% of pure Salicylic Acid works to unclog pores and will literally help treat pimples overnight! The way this product dramatically reduces pimples overnight is unreal! On nights I don’t want to exfoliate yet have a pimple I will use this as a spot treatment. I use this product 2-3x a week. It’s a gel-like serum where a little goes a long way. This is definitely an expensive product ($90 for 1oz) but it is absolutely worth it. You can also stack up on little travel sizes if you want to try the product but don’t want to commit to the full size for the price.

Lip Care to prevent dry chapped winter lips!
👄Let’s talk 𝐋𝐢𝐩 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞! 👄 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 that lip prints are like fingerprints, as they have lines and grooves that are unique to each individual?! I just learned this today and was amazed! My sister-in-law asked me to post about lip care products, “because lips are skin too” as she said. And I get to show this baby off for #textureTuesday! I’m typically not a big lip product wearer, as I don’t really like lipstick, lip liner, or anything other than a nice hydrating chapstick. I’m not sure why that is, but maybe it’ll change! Regardless, once I got into skincare I quickly realized my lips have been neglected basically my entire life. The LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask is a beauty cult favorite. I’ve noticed based on reviews I’ve read on here that this is a polarizing product — people seem to either love it or hate it! Personally, I love the way it feels on my lips. I do think I wake up with softer lips because of it, and feel that my lips haven’t been getting dry and flaky like they usually do when the weather shifts! I also like the flavor, and have yet to try the others! I purchased this in late August and have used it nearly every night since. And you can see how little product is gone! And trust me, I slather it on. I feel like this will last me for approximately one eternity. And, at a price point of $22, I’d say it’s worth giving a shot to. Anybody else use this? What are your thoughts? #LipCare #CherieCreator
Cherie made me do it!!
As a little gift to myself I decided to try some of the most hyped products on this app, and honestly they did not disappoint! LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask I got the lemon sorbet flavor bc 1) I love yellow and 2) the other flavor options seems a little gross to me. Like mint chocolate?! Idk about that. But honestly the flavor isn’t super pronounced anyways. First, while it costs some serious $$, you really get a lot of product because you only need an itty bitty amount on the spatula they give you. Second, it really helps protect my lips from the dry winter air! I’ll usually apply regular lip balm before I sleep and wake up with my lips feeling very dry. With this, I wake up with only a little residue that comes off when I wash my face and my lips are super hydrated! No cracking or flakiness. It’s a winter skin must!! Also maybe try to get a sample/trial size if you’re on the fence bc again, a little goes a long way. SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream I am OBSESSED. It smells so good, you don’t need perfume. It also absorbs super fast which I love. And it also keeps your skin silky for a while after application. Even in dry winter air I don’t feel scaly or ashy. I bought the small ones like the one pictured as stocking stuffers for my family. I’ll probably splurge on the big size once I’m through with this one. It’s definitely pricey for lotion but it’s probably the best one I’ve found, Lush lotions included.

Great gel moisturizer for Combo- oily skin type
This is a great product. It is a little bit pricey. One container lasts me about 3 months. It’s absorbs into my skin very well. It is oil free and hydrates the dry patch in my skin. The smell is K, it is something to get use to. It makes my skin very smooth. Great oil-free get moisturizer for combo/oily skin type. I apply this in the Am and PM. ORIGINS - GinZing Oil-Free Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer hydrating
Great moisturizer! Very refreshing!
Origins GinZing Oil- Free Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer The Origins GinZing Gel Moisturizer is amazing, I love the GinZing line! It applies evenly and absorbs quickly into the skin. There is no residue leftover or tacky feeling. Unlike other gel based moisturizers, this one is actually hydrating and doesn’t sit on the skin’s surface. My skin felt soft and refreshed! This formula is super-rich & energy-boosting moisturizer! I have extremely dry skin, and it comes and goes with redness this started working within minutes of use and made my skin stay hydrated all day long! The added benefit is its infused with caffeine from Coffee and Ginseng, instant skin wake up! An oil-free, energy-boosting gel moisturizer that helps wake up dull, normal-to-oily skin with lasting 72-hour hydration. This gel delivers 72-hours of oil-free hydration as it revs up skin’s natural radiance for a wide-awake look. Energy-boosting caffeine from coffee and ginseng help revitalize skin, while Hydra-Hug™ technology helps bridge the gap between skin cells so they "hug" to prevent moisture loss. ORIGINS - GinZing Oil-Free Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer Retails $ 31 (1.7 oz/ 50 mL)

Help! I need advice
I’ve recently started getting into skincare (again) and this is my fave from a few days ago. If you look at my other post, you can see how bad my face looked before with my dark spots mostly. I’ve been using products from the ordinary and Paulas choice, which I’ll list below, but I want to add a hyaluronic acid to my routine because I’ve noticed my face has been getting dry. I don’t know if I should get The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 or PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster. If you have any other suggestions to add to my routine let me know :) I want to get rid of my dark circles and my dark spots especially around my mouth which I’m super self conscious about :( In the AM I use: The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA artnaturals - ArtNaturals LUXE Vitamin C Serum Murad - Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PA+++ ( I use this because it was a sample, but I’m going to start using CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30) I have three PM routines, PM 1 The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA PM 2 The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA PAULA'S CHOICE - Radiance Renewal Mask PM 3 The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Also right after cleansing (I’m debating on which hydrating cleanser to use) I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator
help me with blackheads, fungal acne, pores!
can anyone help me get rid of these blackheads, fungal acne, and large pores? i don’t know if what i’m using is making it or worse or helping. currently this is my nighttime skincare routine in order: #Amson Naturals - African Black Soap[products]#[FiveStars] dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Benzagel - Acne Gel 5% this was a great product when i first started using it about 3 years ago but it’s not supposed to be used after 6 months and doesn’t work as good as it did the first 6 months i was using it i also use PIXNOR - Facial Cleansing Brush when using the soap and for the morning routine it’s the same products but not the glycolic acid or lactic acid! this has been my skincare routine for over a year and although it has helped my skin it hasn’t gotten better than this in months i’ve tried using Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo to get rid of the fungal acne but it didn’t really help. i also tried AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay and i can admit i haven’t used it as often as i could have but even from the few times it hasn’t made much of a difference. i’ve also used The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution but again not much help. is there any other products i could use? is my routine making it worse? i’m not really sure what i’m doing is right. also if you have any recommendations for any eye creams i’d appreciate them!

This duo has done wonders for my acne scarring
A few months ago when I introduced The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% into my skincare routine, my skin absolutely freaked out. I never had acne or barely even pimples before, and the result can be seen in my first picture. I decided to really work on fading the hyperpigmentation leftover from my acne, and these products have produced so much of a difference in only 2 weeks! I use lactic acid at night and the alpha arbutin in the morning, and they both have done wonders for my skin. Highly highly recommend!!
I recently incorporated BANISH - Vitamin C Cream into my routine and so far it feels amazing! My face is softer but not greasy and my acne scars are starting to fade (will post a before and after when I can see a significant difference). I also like it because it’s in moisturizer (and stabilized) form so I have been able to use it with other treatments as well. I use it in the morning after washing my face with BLUME - Daydreamer Face Wash , toning with PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator , and using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I would highly suggest doing a patch test if you’re gonna be combining these treatments with Vitamin C. I also add in elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 because vitamin c and sunscreen combine beautifully, and also cause sunscreen duh😂 Let me know if you have any questions/comments/feedback :)

Babyfacial & Baby Soft Skin 👼🏻🌸
I live in Canada, so getting my hands on this product was a whole challenge in itself. But let me tell you it was so worth it! This mask has ingredients that not only helps to chemically exfoliate (glycolic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, & salicylic acid) but is also has ingredients that hydrate, smooth, and are anti-inflammatory. I also love that if you buy the full-size product it comes with the mini sized DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil which I have not run out of yet after owning this product for a few months. I was so worried that my skin would feel like it was burning during and after using this mask, but there is only a slight tingle when the mask is initially applied. This being said, if you do get it in your mouth it is not a great experience.. so I would recommend avoid putting this anywhere near your mouth. My only issue with this is that it does include mineral oil which is comedogenic, which is why I would be open to trying other similar products. Will I be repurchasing - Yes, but that being said I would like to get my hands on The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionand the HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial before I make a hard commitment. *Disclaimer - I do not support Drunk Elephant in the ways they treat not only their staff, but also their customers.*

Perfect 2 in 1 moisturizer
I just recently opened this and loving it! Love that on days that im running super late (which is most days🤣) and I can’t do my full AM routine, i splash this on and im moisturized all day!! No irritation or breakout so far! It’s not sticky and leaves my skin soft. Such a nice thing to have in this cold cold 20 degree weather we have here now in IL.
Cream Skin = Dreamy Skin
This is yet another product I received a mini-size of from Sephora! Yay for Rouge points! This is Laneige’s Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer. I’m a fan of anything that combines two steps in one, so this was already looking good from the start! I took this on a work trip recently and used it as my only skincare step twice daily, except for SPF in the morning and it worked BEAUTIFULLY! My skin looked fresh and dewy and felt fully moisturized, without feeling or looking greasy. I still love my ten step skincare routine, so I probably won’t adopt this for my everyday, but I think I will grab it for trips to help cut down on packing and time when I’m in a rush! What are some of your favorite 2-in-1 products? LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer

Night Time Routine!
This is the routine I use when I want my skin to GLOW! I first cleanse with the TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser and then the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser . This was my last use of that cleanser and I won’t be repurchasing (see my other post for why). On this night I then used the Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Facial Mask which I have fallen IN LOVE with. I got the whole “Ceremide” line in a holiday set and it’s bomb! Next was The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane , I’ve just started using this retinol but it’s a hit, I use it 2-3 times a week. After I use the Kate Somerville - DeliKate Recovery Cream which has been amazing for my dry skin. I had a couple blemishes so my last step was the Kate Somerville - EradiKate Acne Treatment which I’m also in love with. Hope you enjoyed this post and have a great night!☺️
Friday First Impressions 💭
Happy Friday y’all! I’m feeling some quick fire first impressions to get the weekend started! And yes, I know I’ve been featuring first impressions a lot lately.... But in my defense, I’ve got a lot of new stuff I’m trying! 🤣🙈 Here we go! 👇 ⠀ ⠀ DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Spray Coming Soon * I can’t believe it’s finally here! This mist is fine, calming, and hydrating. I’ve been using it daily since receiving it the other day and have had no breakouts or ill-effects whatsoever. Just hydrated, soothed, refreshed skin. ⠀ YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser This cleanser has become a serious cult favorite, so I had high expectations. It smells very fresh and earthy, suds up nicely, and leaves skin feeling clean without any dryness or tightness. I’m definitely planning on getting the full size! ⠀ YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Dream Eye Cream With Goji Stem Cell and Ceramides This eye cream is luscious, silky, and literally melts into skin (much like the Superberry Dream Mask; it’s a textural experience that I absolutely love). A little goes a long way, it’s super moisturizing, causes my super-sensitive eyes no issues, and leaves no residue. ⠀ FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask The texture put me off at first; as you scoop it’s VERY thick and almost wax-like... but don’t let it fool you! Once you start working this gem around your face it melts into a delicious cream consistency. This mask wears and removes like a dream and leaves skin feeling hydrated and invigorated. ⠀ GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm This balm is all about the TEXTURE. A delicious delectable smoothness that glides over skin. The scent is light and sweet, and together these elements make for a heavenly cleansing experience. If you’re not using a washcloth it can be difficult to wash off. ⠀ FARMACY - Deep Sweep 2% BHA Pore Cleaning Toner With Moringa + Papaya This bad boy is seriously transforming my skin. I struggle with forehead bumps, and since using Deep Sweep they’re nearly gone. It’s refreshing yet not at all drying. A definite keeper in my routine! ⠀ ⠀ Have you tried any of these products yet? What did you think? Share with me in the comments! 👇🗣 *Some items kindly gifted 💝
