YaaMy New Years Beauty Resolutions ⭐️💫💥🔥
Coming to you with no filter, no edits, straight off the camera roll fierceness 😌 pictures like this make me remember how fun playing in beauty products can be. For 2021 I have finally started to lay out my resolutions for the next year (and beyond!)
🧑🏽🎨 Makeup:
Have more fun!
I mastered the no makeup makeup and called it a day 🤣 I want to learn more about neon eyeliners, bright lips and fun blush

D.BennettHAPPY NEW YEARS BABES 🎆
I hate the cliche phrase “new year new me” because it’s so unrealistic. So every New Years I make a list and narrow it down to things that are actually obtainable.
My goals:
Stay consistent with my skincare: Consistency is 🔑! You have to stay with a routine or product to see results. One thing I see a lot of are bad reviews for products because they didn’t work there are only a handful of products the yield “immediate results”. Some take 4-12 weeks and that’s with consistent, *proper* use.

Beauty, Health, and Wellness goals for 2021
I’ve never made resolutions. But I do love to write out a nice goal list at the beginning of each year. I make separate areas for different types of goals then list 1 to 3 things I want to accomplish.
Normally, I use that list to break each goal down into smaller, more immediate goals in my yearly planner. But 2020 was such a complete and total waste that 2021 isn’t getting a planner. At least not until it proves itself.
Here are some of my goals for 2021:
Wellness
🧘♀️Yoga practice EVERY day in 2021. I was on a streak of a few months in 2020 then I got sick, had surgery, and it all went out the window. I’m going to get back on track in 2021!
So, that’s it!! I have other goals too - Like don’t murder my husband in his sleep when he snores - but these are the good ones 🤪
What about you? What are your goals? Do you make a list??
madihomewoodCHEERS TO NEW YEARS, AND NEW GOALS 🥂
This year has been a crazy one,
And I think like most people I am excited to put it in the rearview
A not so Fun fact, Ontario actually went into ‘lockdown’ on my 25th birthday so you can imagine this wasn’t the year I had planned for.
But a new year offers so much promise and potential, and I’m excited to redirect my energy in a more positive way!
Here are a few of my resolutions:
Dedicate more time to movement; This year turned my life upside down, my work, which gives me a large sense of purpose was shut down for almost 9 months. The career goals I’d been chasing that were finally in front of me all got cancelled or post-poned indefinitely and as an extrovert all the things that give me energy were considered un-safe. Which for the first time in 25 years caused me to have frequent and debilitating panic attacks, to the point of needing medication. I found that movement and excersize really helped burn the energy that can sometimes hurl me into panic if it gets to pent up but had a hard time finding the motivation last year. But this year I plan to make it a priority!

Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽♀️
Its NYE tomorrow here in Australia 🇦🇺 and I thought I’d share my health and wellness resolutions for 2021 😁
🧚♀️ Buy sustainable products that consider the environment and work for my issues too. There’s so many clean brands and with no real definition around clean beauty, it can be confusing. For me it’s also buying local because of the air freight pollution factor. I guess no more Wish bargains in 2021. 🙃Best Reviews

Why hello there!
I’m continuing on my how to tutorials. I really like this series breaking down all makeup trends and putting up how to tutorials for all makeup artist levels for makeup trends.
Continuing on the wing liner, I used a liquid liner for my wing tutorial which is what I normally do. But liquid liners are not very beginner friendly. So this tutorial will teach you how to create an intense wing liner using a matte black eyeshadow.
So check out the tutorial above to see how I achieve a wing liner using eyeshadow. Next tutorial will be the last of the wing liners.

COLOURPOP - Stone Cold Fox Shadow Palette

Which moisturizer is right for my skin type?
A little bit of moisturizing a day keeps the dry skin away!
Moisturizing is crucial to a healthy skin barrier. All 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 help with dry skin. Yet, not all moisturizers are created equal. So, how do you choose the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿 for your skin?
I am breaking it down today for #WinterSkinReliefDay.
In general, 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 provide a little bit of water to the skin and contain a greasy substance that holds it in.
𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 are formulated in 𝟯 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀:
✅ 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: greasy/oily and block the evaporation of water from your skin.
💦 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀: pull water into the top layer of your skin both from the air and from deeper layers of the skin.
🧖🏾♀️ 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: not really moisturizering but rather to make the skin feel smooth by replacing absent skin the lipids and oils to fill in all the cracks on the skin, helping smooth out the surface of your skin and repair your skin’s barrier.
Here is a cheat sheet to help you select the appropriate moisturizer for your skin.
𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀
📅 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆, regardless of your skin type. Even oily skin needs moisturizing every day with the right type of moisturizer. Please avoid moisturizing reactively, aka moisturizering 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 when your skin is dry.
🚿 Always apply to 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻. P.S I keep my moisturizer in my shower to apply right after I towel off gently.
🔑 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿. This is key for the winter 🥶 months. You need both a humectant which draw moisture to the skin and occlusive ingredients which keep water from evaporating off of your skin.
🌓𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿. This is really important in the winter if you are using humectant heavy moisturizer. The dry air can pull the water out of your skin. Sounds crazy right?
🚫𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. Even if you do not have sensitive skin. Fragrance and coloring are just a set up for possible irritation/allergy and no one has time for that.
🦶🏾 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸. They too need some TLC.
