A new year always brings with it hope and a refreshed sunny disposition. It's the perfect time to reevaluate where we are in life and think about what we want from the new year! With 2020 being exceptionally ~unprecedented~, a lot of us are hoping 2021 can be our saving grace. While the times won't suddenly change just because the year has, we can still work towards our own personal goals! Our cherie community was quick to share their beauty goals for the new year and here are the top 5:5. Have more fun with makeup! With the pandemic keeping us sheltered at home, a lot of us beauty lovers lost our motivation to get creative with makeup. 2021 could bring an end to staying at home, so it's time to get our makeup muscles right! A common resolution with our cherie users is to have more fun with makeup, even if there's no where to go—yet! 4. Stay consistent with a skincare routineAn important part of any and every skincare routine is consistency. We don't usually know if something is working for us until using it for 3 months, so that product you dismissed because it didn't do anything might've just needed more time with you! 3. Take care of our mental well-beingBeauty is so much more than how we look, it's also how we feel. Taking care of your mental wellbeing IS self care and IS beautiful. Take the time to journal, or do yoga like @therainyone has aimed to do for 2021, to protect your peace. 2. Workout more!Movement is such an important part of our overall health, and our overall health is a big player in our skin health. Health is wealth, so it's no wonder why so many of our cherie users resolved to workout more!1. Make more sustainable beauty choices! An important and necessary resolution, making more sustainable beauty choices was the #1 goal for so many cherie users. From buying less products, to choosing sustainable brands, to actually emptying out products before we toss them, and even to find a new purpose in packaging, there are so many ways we can be more earth-conscious in our beauty journey.

HOW TO ROUND 2: EASIEST INTENSE WING LINER
Why hello there! I’m continuing on my how to tutorials. I really like this series breaking down all makeup trends and putting up how to tutorials for all makeup artist levels for makeup trends. Continuing on the wing liner, I used a liquid liner for my wing tutorial which is what I normally do. But liquid liners are not very beginner friendly. So this tutorial will teach you how to create an intense wing liner using a matte black eyeshadow. So check out the tutorial above to see how I achieve a wing liner using eyeshadow. Next tutorial will be the last of the wing liners. Which moisturizer is right for my skin type?
Which moisturizer is right for my skin type?
A little bit of moisturizing a day keeps the dry skin away! Moisturizing is crucial to a healthy skin barrier. All 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 help with dry skin. Yet, not all moisturizers are created equal. So, how do you choose the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿 for your skin? I am breaking it down today for #WinterSkinReliefDay. In general, 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 provide a little bit of water to the skin and contain a greasy substance that holds it in. 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 are formulated in 𝟯 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: ✅ 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: greasy/oily and block the evaporation of water from your skin. 💦 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀: pull water into the top layer of your skin both from the air and from deeper layers of the skin. 🧖🏾‍♀️ 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: not really moisturizering but rather to make the skin feel smooth by replacing absent skin the lipids and oils to fill in all the cracks on the skin, helping smooth out the surface of your skin and repair your skin’s barrier. Here is a cheat sheet to help you select the appropriate moisturizer for your skin. 𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 📅 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆, regardless of your skin type. Even oily skin needs moisturizing every day with the right type of moisturizer. Please avoid moisturizing reactively, aka moisturizering 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 when your skin is dry. 🚿 Always apply to 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻. P.S I keep my moisturizer in my shower to apply right after I towel off gently. 🔑 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿. This is key for the winter 🥶 months. You need both a humectant which draw moisture to the skin and occlusive ingredients which keep water from evaporating off of your skin. 🌓𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿. This is really important in the winter if you are using humectant heavy moisturizer. The dry air can pull the water out of your skin. Sounds crazy right? 🚫𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. Even if you do not have sensitive skin. Fragrance and coloring are just a set up for possible irritation/allergy and no one has time for that. 🦶🏾 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸. They too need some TLC. #skincaretips #moisturizer #skincareroutine #skincareproducts #dermatologist #dermatology
