My tips for a perfect Dip Powder mani
I love nail dip powder, but it has been a harsh learning curve
Here's some of my tips
What I have found most helpful is realizing that dip base is essentially super glue. That's why it dries so fast. And also why you do need to be precise and *always considering cross contamination*. I'm pretty sure this is the only reason why brands offer 3 steps, its just to have less mingling between powder, activator and base as it runs the product. All brands are pretty much the same (except glitter formulas) so dont need a fancy starter kits, just base and activator. These glitters are from Sparkel and Co
I use the sprinkle technique instead of dipping. If you sprinkle the powder off a spoon, you are less likely to smudge the base coat. You can very lightly dip the tip in after to make sure its covered. Covering the tips in gradual thin coats works best to prevent cracking. Thick nails last longest.
Use a brush to Lightly brush off excess powder. You want to wait at 30sec.
Dip base expands as it dries, so after each coat you may find your skin and your nail have fused underneath. try not to get any on your skin, especially under the nail for this reason / just wipe it right away/ unstuck it.
clip off any big chunks of excess powder with cuticle cutters before going to next coat
Take your time on the powder coats, you can do multiple strokes, get it perfect.
I do first coat on both hands first, so I can freely dip as I'm just applying to bare nails.
*Now that you move on to second coat, you need to start wiping your brush off on paper towel before returning it to the bottle. * You dont want any powder or activator in your bottle. I use clear coat as well as 2+ coats
When you do the 1st coat of activator, use a lot.
Then activate your whole second hand so it gives the first hand's activator time to dry
Then use a drill on 1st hand to perfect outline or ridges. I find this the easiest way to get a perfect shape but I usually use a file as well to even everything out. I usually dont buff the surface much.
I will then wash and properly dry my 1st hand.
Activate 1st hand again and make sure under the tips are covered and let it dry while you drill, wash and activate the second hand.
My best tip for getting the top coats drying time perfect is using the, one finger, then back a finger technique. Once you paint 1 nail dont touch it and move on to the second. Then, go back to that first nail and second coat it while it's still fresh. Then do a first coat on nail 3, then go back and 2nd coat nail 2, etc.
You want to do the first coat in limited strokes, and then take your time with the second coat.
Then do the same process on your second hand.
Then just let it dry. I'd say it needs minimum 4 mins and as long as 10mins to fully cure. Once its cured, its cured, so go on with your day and enjoy as theres no such thing as soft dip nails. If you do muck up the top coat, don't worry you can easily buff it back to shiney later no problem.
HOW TO ROUND 2: EASIEST INTENSE WING LINER
Why hello there!
I’m continuing on my how to tutorials. I really like this series breaking down all makeup trends and putting up how to tutorials for all makeup artist levels for makeup trends.
Continuing on the wing liner, I used a liquid liner for my wing tutorial which is what I normally do. But liquid liners are not very beginner friendly. So this tutorial will teach you how to create an intense wing liner using a matte black eyeshadow.
So check out the tutorial above to see how I achieve a wing liner using eyeshadow. Next tutorial will be the last of the wing liners.

The best workout hairstyle!
Hairstyles for the gym don’t have to be cute - but it’s nice when they are!!
Here is a SUPER easy Dutch braid into a bun - perfect for the gym when you don’t want your hair getting in your face when you’re moving around!
Begin with the Dutch braid which is a 3 strand braid taking pieces from either side of your head, UNDER the middle strand of hair. Then fluff it out by pulling on the braid strands and then take all of that and put into a half bun, wrap the extra hair and you’re done!!!
Literally so easy yall and SO STINKING CUTE!!

NEW FIND! And I’m pleasantly surprised!?
It was time to get a new moisturizer.
I was currently using the HONEST - Hydrogel Cream paired with the PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega+ Complex Moisturizer , RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil , and timeless SKIN CARE - Squalane Oil 100% Pure because I have pretty dry skin.
I love both of those moisturizers (although I’m not fond of all the Paula’s choice Omega+ complex moisturizer ingredients, but I loooooove the texture and feeling of it ) and love my oils (I won’t stop using the oils), but knew I needed a richer cream and also wanted to keep it down to just one cream, for time and my bank accounts sake.
So if you’ve seen my last post, I was deciding between 3 brands but I couldn’t decide and was also nervous to try a new moisturizer, even though I knew I needed one, because I’m also acne prone so a new moisturizer to me was just terrifying lol.
I was about to just get my usual HONEST - Hydrogel Cream because I knew it didn’t break me out and I like it a lot, although not quite as moisturizing as I need, it was on the safer side and I can’t imagine going a day without a moisturizer on this Sahara desert of a face!!!
But then I discovered this brand I’ve never seen before? It’s called Awake Human. It’s not even a listing on Cherie for me to add the product!
I read the ingredients and was intrigued (scroll through pics to see ingredients list), but because of my fear of new moisturizers, I was hesitant.. but I decided to bite the bullet because the ingredients looked amazing, was cheaper than Paula’s choice and the honest beauty’s moisturizer, but had the same amount of product.
I received it a few days ago and I am in love!!!!! Soooooo rich and creamy and hydrating feeling, and it had the same smooth, rich, texture as the Paula’s Choice omega moisturizer, that I love so much!!!
It comes in a nice little pump type of packaging, which I like. Keeps bacteria and gunk out. If you scroll through my pictures, you’ll see it.
And a little bit goes a long way! The picture you see of the product on my fingers is the amount I use, but you can totally use less, especially if you have more oily or normal skin. I just like a lot of moisturizer! Lol
I’ve noticed my face is much less dry feeling and looks smoother with less texture.
I will keep you updated, but I think this is my new fave!!!! I’m so excited lol.
Here the link the purchase: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NWXJYVK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_YHI-Fb9BRJKT0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If you’re hesitant but intrigued like I was, I strongly encourage you to just try it. And if it happens that doesn’t work for your face, because remember, everyone is different and skincare is not a one size fits all, then it would most definitely be a really really nice hand cream, that would fit nicely in your bag.
Have you heard of this brand before? And if so, have you used anything from them?
