Favorite (and not so favorite) Dupes

Beauty dupes are all over Social Media. Who doesn’t love a cult favorite at a great cost? Some are definitely worth the hype while others...not so much. Let’s talk about a few of my favorite beauty dupes and the ones I don’t think live up to the hype.
Moisturizers
My first favorite is the Neutrogena Hydroboost Moisturizer. This hyaluronic acid-packed gel is identical in texture to Clinique’s Moisture Surge and almost identical in ingredients.
For less than $15 you can pick up this product at any drugstore.
A cult favorite for skin in need of a shot of moisture, Clinique's Moisture Surge is about double the price of its dupe!
I've used both products and can honestly say I've switched to Neutrogena's moisturizer. I love it's texture and even the fragrance and can't justify the price of Clinique's when this one is just as good!
Chemical Peels
Drunk Elephant is one of the leading new skincare brands known for their expertly-crafted products with actives that drastically improve the skin without a prescription.
At around $80, their babyfacial mask is an AHA/BHA peeling solution used once a week for drastic, overnight results.
For around $10 you can buy The Ordinary's version.
Personally find that with this dupe, you get what you pay for. Not all ingredients are created with the same quality.
While others have had great results with The Ordinary’s peeling solution, I find the quality of the ingredients in Drunk Elephants products just can’t be beat!
Makeup
Last but not least is everybody's favorite blush in Orgasm from NARS.
$40 is a lot for a blush, but NARS never fails to disappoint. I have had my NARS blush for several years now and can honestly say it’s my go-to.
Wet N Wild's blush in Pearlescent Pink is a dupe for just under $5. While I love Wet N Wild and like this blush, it just doesn't look as good as NARS.
The biggest advantage to Wet N Wild over Nars, however, is that all of their products are cruelty-free.

A Year in review!
A Year in review!
This year has definitely been a wild ride. I’ve learned so much more about my hair and skin in this last year than I ever thought I would or needed to know! All the way from using witch hazel and not paying attention to my curl pattern, to staying completely fragrance free with face products and staying away from harsh toners and paying attention to what my hair was trying to do! Using this app has really opened doors for me that I wouldn’t thought possible for my beauty process! I can’t wait to see what more years bring me, and us! Thank you @cherie!

What is the product? Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray How does it work? Thermal Water works by soothing the skin and calming any irritation What are the notable ingredients? Mineral Spring Water What is the price? $18.50CAD Where can you purchase? Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall Pharmacy and online How long have I been using it for? I’ve been using thermal water for over two years, I started off using this product on my body and now still use it on my face What is my experience ? My experience with thermal water has been good, I suffer from eczema on both my body and face. It was hard finding products that wouldn’t irritate or cause a flare up. When that happened this product saved my skin and soothed it. At first I was not exactly sure how water would help my skin, but after doing research thermal waters are meant to have healing properties for the body and skin. What are my thoughts? This product is nothing short of amazing, you are able to use it for multiple areas and it lasts so long. The mist is super fine which makes it perfect for spraying on large or small spots, and pressing into the skin similar to how you apply a toner. Would I recommend to a friend? I would absolutely recommend this product to a friend or family or even someone looking to help soothe their skin but who doesn’t want to break the bank!! My overall rating? 5/5 Would I repurchase? I have and will continue to repurchase this product until I find something that exceeds how amazing this is! #CheriePartner
Dermatologist opinion: caffeine eye cream
Dermatologist opinion: caffeine eye cream
THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream Why I like the Inkeylist caffeine eye cream: ✔️ Lightweight texture blends very easily ✔️ Hydrating ✔️ Can help reduce puffiness ✔️ Antioxidant ingredients help fight off free radicals from the sun and pollution ✔️ Can help improve the appearance of dark circles ✔️ Fragrance free- no smell to it! ✔️ Affordable ✨ It is one of my favorite go-to eye creams because of the caffeine which really helps with my puffy eyes in the morning and has helped with my dark circles. I also really like that it blends in easily, is fragrance free, and affordable. I like using this once a day in the morning but this can be used twice a day. I like using it in the mornings because it really helps with my puffy eyes (which is worse in the morning for me!). I notice an immediate effect on the puffiness around my eyes. It took a few weeks to notice the improvement on my dark circles. What do you think about this eye cream? Comment below!
3 Easy Ways to Volumize Your Hair
3 Easy Ways to Volumize Your Hair
Hair concerns: Flat, Thin These are my 3 quick, go-to hair tips for volumizing my hair! This is great for when you’re on the go and don’t have too much time on your hands. 1. Use a Root Volumizer Hot Tool (Bed Head Little Tease Hair Crimper for Outrageous Texture and Volume) - Using this root volumizer hot tool will give you the volume of teased hair without the tangled knots and hairspray. It works by making small crimps or waves in your hair and gives your roots volume from the texture it creates. Just make sure to cover your roots with a layer of hair to conceal the textured areas. - Directions: Clamp the hot tool at your roots, brush it out with your fingers, and cover it with a layer of hair. Spray a moderate amount of hair spray to keep it in place. 2. Dry Shampoo - Thin, flat hair usually looks lifeless because of the lack of texture and thinness of the hair shaft. This means that having freshly washed hair can actually be your worst enemy if you’re going for a volumized look. Adding in a hair product can help at the roots by allowing for your hair to be styled into place. You can use any texturizing spray to do so, but I like to use dry shampoo especially for second-hair days! It helps soak up the oils in my hair as well as volumizing my roots. - Directions: Use any dry shampoo your own and spray onto your roots and brush it out. 3. Hair Extensions - Adding hair extensions onto your head will effortlessly give the illusion that your hair is much thicker than it actually is. The added layers will make the roots of your hair appear uplifted. You can choose from lengthening hair extensions (like mine) or extensions that match your hair length. Either way, it’ll make your hair on your head look much fuller. - Directions: Use clip-in hair extensions and clip it onto your roots. Cover the clip-ins with a layer of hair and spray hairspray it to keep it in place. #cheriepartner #sponsored
