Cherie is an online community of beauty lovers sharing their stories; whether that's their favorite products, makeup tutorials, or skincare routines. Download the app today to be a part of #BeautyWithoutBarriers and show the world what beauty means to you! I love how skincare savvy we’ve become lately! I see so many people, both my friends in real life and fellow beauty fiends online, taking the time to learn about what skincare ingredients to look for to get the results we want. Now just about everyone who has a skincare routine knows about hyaluronic acid and how hard it works for our skin! I’ve noticed that some of the most popular beauty brands are successful not because of empty marketing buzzwords but because they really care about the ingredients they use and educating consumers on how these ingredients help them. Here are some of my favorite skincare brands that care about ingredients: Paula's ChoicePaula’s Choice is my go-to brand when I’m looking for products to treat specific skin concerns. Their products are all fragrance-free and cruelty-free use specific ingredients to target some of the most common skin issues. What I love about the brand is that each product explains exactly how its ingredients work to help your skin! Like many fans of the brand, I got started with the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator. Some of my other favorite products include the Paula’s Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster to treat breakouts and texture issues and the Paula’s Choice Resist C15 Super Booster to fade dark spots and brighten my skin. The Ordinary I love The Ordinary’s straightforward product line and super affordable prices. This is the brand that first introduced me to serums like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, two ingredients I’ve used basically every day for over five years! They really focus on educating consumers about skincare ingredients, and their website even has guides on how to apply products in the right order and how to patch test products before using them. My favorite product is The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, which I use once a week to treat any blemishes or dullness. I also love The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane as a final moisturizer, especially when my skin feels more dehydrated in colder months.Dr. Dennis GrossDr. Dennis Gross is a board-certified dermatologist whose skincare brand is backed by his years of experience in the medical world of skin, along with high-quality ingredients that do what they say. I really like the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel, which is a great product for people who haven’t tried chemical exfoliation before! I would recommend using them every other day until your skin gets used to it. I love that this brand uses powerful ingredients combined with gentle plant extracts to your skin, like the Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid + Retinol Brightening Solution, which uses ferulic acid and licorice root extract to boost the skin-brightening and anti-aging effects of retinol. What ingredients do you look for in your skincare products? Have you tried these brands before?

Trending Skincare Super Ingredients
Trending Skincare Super Ingredients
I’ll start out by telling you a bit about my skin; it’s sensitive and normal-dry depending on the season. I also have rosacea on my cheeks. I am always looking for skincare that hydrates, soothes, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I am 31 years old and have just recently started adding some anti-aging products into my routine, though I can thankfully say I don’t have many signs of aging yet🤞🏻 Today I’m going to tell you about some skincare “super ingredients” that you might have been hearing about because they have become very popular in the skincare world. Ashwaganda - ashwaganda is an ancient medicinal herb that is classified as an adaptogen, which means it can help your body manage stress. In skincare, and this YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi in particular, it is said to help reduce visible signs of fatigue. This moisturizer is targeted for people with dry, sensitive, and reactive skin. the texture of this is lovely, it’s not too heavy but feels incredibly hydrating on the skin. it has very little to no smell, which I really appreciate it definitely helps me with redness and dryness I would for sure repurchase this Niacinamide - niacinimide is an essential nutrient that can help build proteins in the skin and lock in moisture to prevent environmental damage. The CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Radiance Serum and CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Moisturizer with Niacinamide both contain niacinimide and claim to even the skin tone and give the skin a glowing appearance. the texture of both of these products is lightweight; the serum is a milky consistency and the moisturizer is a gel-cream. I wish that the moisturizer was a little more hydrating; I can’t really use it once the weather gets cold because it’s just not hydrating enough for me both of these products are quite strongly scented, some may find it overpowering I feel like they both make a difference in the overall appearance of my skin. They definitely help to brighten and even out my skin. I’m unsure if I would repurchase the moisturizer, but would repurchase the serum Retinol - retinol supports natural collagen production in the skin, nurtures the skin, and diminishes the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum is said to be for beginner retinol users and for those with sensitive skin. There are different strengths of retinol and it is advised that you work your way up to a higher concentration as your skin adjusts. Retinol has a bit of a bad reputation in some ways because it is a very aggressive ingredient but when used properly, it can be extremely beneficial and effective. the texture isn’t overly thick and it sinks into the skin quickly unscented too new to my routine to say if I’d repurchase yet #CheriePartner
Dupe alert of TATCHA 🚓 e.l.f. 💕$8 vs. 54$
Dupe alert of TATCHA 🚓 e.l.f. 💕$8 vs. 54$
Hi Cherie sisters 👯‍♀️ 💗 I want to share my recent fav product: e.l.f. poreless putty primer. I can tell that I’m a huge fan of TATCHA. The silk canva primer was by far the best primers I’ve found on the market (until I found e.l.f.). But I have continued my hunt to test out some more possible dupes with lower price. While scrolling through Cherie, I saw a post about e.l.f. poreless putty primer could be the dupe alert of TATCHA. I recently picked this up from Target and I can tell it is a dupe through component type, color, texture - everything and only $8.00 !!!! Cheap and great quality products. When I open it, it smells a bit chemically. I love the texture: feels like a mix of solid coconut oil and butter (close to a balm but not greasy) . It wasn’t stick or oily for me personally, and I felt it was a little less thick than the TATCHA !!!! It really does make for a flawless look since it is soooo smoothing and completely poreless just like it states. It definitely feels like silk when you touch it as TATCHA does. I'm dry skin type, and this is best for me since is def not dry when I use it, and it's not necessarily hydrating. I love TATCHA, but it was kind of pricey and didn’t last me that long. e.l.f. primer is the best dupe alert of TATCHA silk canva for students who can’t always afford to buy overly expensive makeup (just like me). Lower price with same quality. Gorgeous product!! Tips: I like to use finger to apply primer all over my face. The warmth from fingers will help better break the product down for easier application than brush.
NEW BEAUTY YOU NEED✨
NEW BEAUTY YOU NEED✨
I know so many people haven’t had the chance to really dress up during covid and wear any makeup at all even with all the releases😭 Sometimes there are so many releases that it gets hard to keep track of everything and to really know where to spend your money so I’m here to tell you, this is where you really should 💸 Ived followed Vesca Beauty on IG since another influencer mentioned the bronzer like they originally released and the inclusivity with the shades really was the hype! Not only that but the inclusion and the quality of the products were amazing too so it’s a win win!🥳 After getting my hands on the two launches they had, I knew I needed more so I went out and bought their new highlighters and their latest release with their lip oils! 👏🏽 so here are some initial thoughts When it came to the lip oils, I really didn’t think much, I thought they maybe too slippery but that brown shade was calllllling my name and I knew I needed it and honestly it looked so beautiful on their model, I decided to go for it! ✊🏽 and I have to say, this is my new GO TO lip product! I’ve been obsessed with the fenty gloss bombs for years now but this has kind of replaced it for the time being VESCA - Lush Glow Creamy Lip Oil they are legging luscious like the name and super moisturizing and hydrating and pack a punch with colour but you can wear it sheer as well! I mean they are so soft and velvety without feeling like their is a ton of product on the lips! I’m thoroughly surprised As for the their highlighters, I really like the shade but just haven’t been able to play with them as much but they do have a a very buttery formula when using your fingers so as a eyeshadow, this will be gorgeous VESCA - Stargaze Luminous Glow I didn’t expect anything less from such an amazing brand and the size of these are just right as well! Not too big yet not tiny either cause really, who actually finishes an entire highlighter?🤭😉 #cheriepartner
NIACINAMIDE explained! $6 serums worth trying!
NIACINAMIDE explained! $6 serums worth trying!
Try these $6 serums to reap the many benefits of niacinamide! Hey everyone! I’m sure you’ve heard and seen so much about 𝙉𝙄𝘼𝘾𝙄𝙉𝘼𝙈𝙄𝘿𝙀 lately. It seems like every new skincare product has it and the niacinamide serums are selling like crazy. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐞? Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3. It’s the latest trend in skincare, but has been used in skincare for a very long time. It has many benefits from helping acne, repairing skin, smoothing fine lines.. the list goes on. You can find it as it’s own serum or as a main ingredient along with other powerhouse ingredients. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 locks in moisture; helps build a lipid barrier. prevents environmental damage + protects from environmental stressors and pollution. minimizes pores reduces inflammation; helps redness w/ acne and eczema. regulates oil production. rebuilds skin cells protects against sun damage & skin cancer. ( you still need SPF) helps hyperpigmentation (not to a vitamin c extent, but can help lighten spots a bit) minimizes fine lines and wrinkles *yes plz* helps acne! Overtime a decrease in breakouts. 𝙂𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣 2 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨. 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣: I have incorporated Niacinamide into my skincare routine for the last 3 months and I have noticed + a decrease in breakouts. + less oily skin + huge change in my pores, way less visible around my nose and cheeks. + less eczema than usual for this time of the year for me. 𝘾𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩? For the most part, yes... Some people do have a sensitivity to niacinamide and can break out from it. If you start to break out different than your normal while using it, I suggest taking it out of your routine to see if it is not a match for your skin. 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙉𝙞𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙧𝙮: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Since I’ve switched to this “holy grail” my skin has drastically improved. It also includes Zinc which helps with acne as well. $5.90 a price that is TOO good. Sold at Ulta and Sephora. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum Another great serum! I’ve used this one before and it works almost just as well as the ordinary. It is also %10 niacinamide. The brand also has an amazing niacinamide toner! $6 online at good molecules. Both of these serums are 10% niacinamide. Studies have shown that 2-5% works very effectively so you don’t need such a high percentage. #cheriepartner #cheriecreator
Parisian Makeup Look using Guerlain products🇫🇷
Parisian Makeup Look using Guerlain products🇫🇷
I tried two complexion products from Guerlain to achieve a natural Parisian makeup look. GUERLAIN - Meteorites 3-in-1 Highlighting and Illuminating Pressed Powder Palette This highlighter has three shades, infused with pearl extract for high shine:) The package is gorgeous!!! The pigmentation is pearlescent, glowy and sheer. The highlighter is very luminous and rich. I like all three colors here: pearly pink, pearly gold and pearly amber. How to use: I apply pearly gold on the nose tip, tempo and inner corners of eyes, pearly pink for the cheekbones as a luminous blush and pearly amber for eyelids to add extra shine for the eyes. The scent is natural subtle violet floral smell. One layer of application is good enough since is very pigmentier. I wish it had a smaller size. This palette is pretty big and heavy for on-the-go. I can use both brush and fingers to apply the powder. This palette is $65. It’s not inexpensive but it worth the $$$. GUERLAIN - Terracotta Light 10g This Terra-cotta light is a soft and blushing complexion powder with three shades mixed in one. The three shades are soft peachy blush, light matte bronze and luminous sheering deep bronze. It has all the shades that I need for my face. This formula is for natural makeup, sheer coverage and moisturized finish. It adds a natural tan to the face, light tan towards peachy blushing. It’s not precise but very natural. The powder also has Guerlain’s signature fragrance with orange blossom note. So beautiful!!! Price: $54 - a little overpriced to me. #cheriepartner
