Download the app today to be a part of #BeautyWithoutBarriers and show the world what beauty means to you!If there's one thing this year that I am really excited about (and there are so many things to, sadly, not be) it's that so much of the skincare and makeup world have finally come to the revelation that sunscreen should be worn every. Single. Day, and reapplied multiple times a day at that! Even though I'm a late SPF converter, as in, I didn't start wearing sunscreen religiously until just late last year, I've already seen the difference it's made in protecting my skin from aging and from PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation aka acne scarring). As a Filipinx, I grew up with a lot of my family thinking sunscreen was only for swimming and that brown skin didn't need it. Yes, my entire family believed the myth that sunscreen was for those who were sunburn prone, when in reality it's for everyone with skin that sees the sun!! I would've believed this myth forever if it hadn't been for an old colleague of mine who, upon finding out I didn't apply sunscreen on a daily basis, chewed me OUT. She said something that stuck with me since and that I'll share with you today... ALL THAT WORK YOUR DOING TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU AREN ' T PROTECTING IT FROM THE SUN! All caps, just for those who may not be convinced just yet. If you're like me and debunking that brown skin doesn't need SPF, keep reading to discover sunscreens with NO white cast, so you can protect your skin without that pasty look .Purito Green Level Unscented Sunscreen

Get rid of dry patches instantly -Peeling gels
Do you get large or small dry flakey patches because of either colder weather or retinoids or acne treatments? I do get these dry flakey patches all the time with my retinoid use and sometimes when the air gets dry around me. But that isn't the main concern for me, these dry patches come in my way of getting a good flawless foundation routine. When I have an event or meeting to attend and if I have these dry patches it's hard for me to moisturize them and keep them moisturized and look good under my makeup. There was only one solution to such dry fkakey skin, that is Exfoliation!! I figured the quick exfoliating masks and solutions (chemical exfoliation) work but they did not get rid of those dry patches completely. So I tried these peeling gels before my morning shower and vola!! They instantly removed my dry patches and made my skin super soft and smooth for a flawless makeup application!! 😍❤️ I love using these both, @wishful Yo Glow enzyme scrub HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub @saturdayskin Rub-A-Dub Refining peel gel SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel ✨ These both are refining physical exfoliators that work by creating white balled up action and pills when you rub it gently on your skin. They generally have chemical exfoliants as well like Papaya and pineapple enzymes as well as physical exfoliators. The lightweight, milky texture gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities for immediate results that also makes the perfect canvas for seamless makeup application. You start off with a watery gel like this, which you spread over your face then you see the product balling up on your face creating this weird peeled skin texture. ✨But have you Wondered what is it exactly?? Is it your skin falling off or peeling that way? Is it just the product that's balling up and not exfoliate skin well? or is it just a gimmick?? The Answer is: peeling gels are actually a very gentle physical scrub – the scrubbing bits are the soft, bunched up fibres, which are usually made of bunched up acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer* (sometimes listed as “carbomer” in the ingredients list). Some gels also contain a lot of cellulose, which adds to the bunching effect (this is usually in the opaque ones) ☑️😍Conclusion: Peeling gels aren’t chemical exfoliants – they’re gentle physical exfoliants (scrubs). The fibres form from ingredients that are in the gel to begin with, balling up from the rubbing motion with some help from oils on your skin. There will be a small amount of dead skin in there too. I am a fan of Peeling gels, they definitely help me a lot with instant exfoliation without being crazy abrasive on my skin. This is the evidence I like physical exfoliants as much as I love chemical ones. 😊❤️ Have you used Peeling gels? Do you like them? Share your thoughts ❤️

🚨 Natasha Denona Glam DUPE! //$65 vs. $14
Happy Saturday Cherie Sisters 👯♀️ 💕 I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. I have been loving cool toned eyeshadows lately. I think they are the perfect tones to wear during fall and winter time so I purchased my first Natasha Denona product and got the glam palette. I fell in love with the color story and can see myself reaching for this palette often. So far the eyeshadows feel so luxurious. They are pigmented and I can do a look with just one dip. They blend themselves too so doing a look isn’t too time consuming. NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette When I saw that Colourpop announced their That’s Taupe collection, I knew I had to get the eye palette because it looked very similar to my glam palette. I wanted to do a comparison so you guys can decide if you need to spend $65 for the Natasha Denona one. So far these are up to par with Colourpop quality. The eyeshadows are pigmented and they included a couple super shock formula on the palette. These are great quality for the price. #Colourpop - That’s Taupe[products]#[FiveStars] So the Colourpop palette isn’t a complete dupe to the ND one, but there are some shades that are really similar to each other. Once blended on the eye, you can hardly tell the difference. The only difference between the two is the quality. The ND palette was pigmented after one dip and blended quickly. I had to dip 3-4x in the CP pan to match the pigmentation for the ND one. It also took time blending it out. Overall, the end results are the same, but it took half the time to work with the ND palette because it was much easier to work with. If cool-toned eyeshadows aren’t you your alley, but still want it on your collection, I say stick with CP. also if you don’t mind spending the extra time building up the color and blending then save the $51 difference. If you are someone who is looking for quality then definitely go for the glam palette. This will save you time and you won’t use as much product because it’s so pigmented. Do you prefer cool tones or warm tones? Xoxo, Francesca 💋
New Beauty Buys
As I usually share non-mainstream products with y’all, it’s exciting for me to share something a little more known! After my lengthy love for BITE beauty lip products, I’ve finally become an ambassador! And when I heard about their new Yaysayer Pumping Lipgloss launch, I was pretty stoked! They gifted me with two of their lipglosses in Cinnamon Twist and Plum Tart, which I would have bought anyway just to try. I’d definitely get Cinnamon Twist as I love me some nudes, but perhaps I’d get Cider Donut instead of Plum Tart. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this purplish tint. I expected the pigment to be quite strong, personally wish the Cinnamon Twist showed up in brown hues way more; however, it’s a great layer for nude lipsticks. The Plum Tart did not disappoint in pigment but I just have to get more used to wearing purplish pinks. As a lipgloss, I think it’s a pretty good product, nothing too extraordinary though. On the plus side, it’s not that sticky. But with the twist applicator sometimes dispensing a little too much product, I feel the product has the potential of running out quite quickly, which wouldn’t be worth $33 CAD. The good thing about the applicator is that it prevents the inner tube from getting contaminated, which allows me to peacefully keep the product longer if I don’t run out of it from frequent use. For sustainability purposes, I personally wish the applicator was made out of something more recyclable than plastic. But it is what it is for now! BITE - Yaysayer Plumping Lip Gloss
👀 Great Results!! 👀 My New Serum - 💋
- Origins Ginzing Into the Glow Brightening Serum - Okay, I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for great packaging. Seriously though. Something could be outrageously priced but have pretty packaging and I’ll end up buying it! (Yeah TonyMoly!) Lol Anywho, when I first came across this serum, my first thought was that it would make great Shelf Candy for Halloween time! Lol It’s bright orange so it’s perfect. 🎃 - Key Ingredients - Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid AHA/BHA Blend Green Coffee Seed - Benefits (Pro’s) - Reduces Redness Reduces Inflammation Boosts Hydration Improves Sun/Dark Spots Boosts Cell Turnover Brightens and Plumps Skin - Con’s - Burns if used after exfoliating Tad bit expensive Burns if used after plucking hairs Leaves skin a little sticky and tacky I used this serum for a few weeks before even thinking about writing an article about it because I didn’t just want to give my first impressions. This serum was a bit difficult for me at first because the first time I used it I had just deeply exfoliated my skin and used 2 of my torture devices to clear my pores and to remove the small hairs from my face. When I say “Torture Devices”, my 7 year old Son named them that. Lol It’s my Blackhead Vacuum and my Spring Facial Hair Remover. Anywho, back on track. Since I used it right after these, it burned like no one’s business. 😱It felt like a darn Bee Stinging me over and over. 🐝🐝 Nevertheless, I didn’t get discouraged and tried again the next day which still burned but after my skin healed from everything, it never burned again.🥳 Long story short, my skin day by day has started looking brighter and lighter. It is much much smoother which makes wearing Foundation, well.... Smoother. My Dark Sun Spots look 👀 softer than before and the redness in my T-Zone has reduced noticeably. 👹ORIGINS - Ginzing Into the Glow Brightening Serum My skin is softer, looking and feeling more hydrated and moisturized. It has a great texture. It’s like a cream mixed with a serum. It isn’t runny or thin like a normal serum. It isn’t oily and doesn’t have a harsh scent. 🤔 - My Final Thoughts - 🤔 (Every time I say that, I think of Jerry Springer!)🪑 I know that if I would keep using this Serum it would give me much more dramatic results. This serum is an excellent product. It has so many great benefits. It’s 100% Vegan, meaning no animal products.(except for Beeswax and Honey) It gives amazing results in such a short amount of time. It’s definitely worth the price and the purchase. I give it 5 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recommend it for any skin type or tone. BUT if you have Sensitive skin, I recommend Spot or Patch Testing first because it has ingredients in it that can be harsh on Sensitive Skin sometimes. ❓❓If you have any Questions, Comments, Complaints or Suggestions? Let me know in the comments below! (Hehehe that rhymes!) Lol ❓❓ ✌️♥️ UNTIL NEXT TIME LOVELIES................
