You probably don't have fungal acne....

Fungal acne aka pityrosporum folliculitis (PF) is an uncommon cause of bumps on the face.
PF typically presents as a very ithcy and very acute, in other words quickly developing, bumps around hair follicles. If your acne did not suddenly develop over a few days or weeks and is not very itchy, you like do not have fungal acne.
PF is caused by a yeast called malassezia furfar. This yeast is a normal component of our skin and generally does not bother most people. In some people, it can cause a rash called tinea versicolor, which would make the skin appear as dark or light in certain areas.
The typical patient who develops PF is usually middle aged.
While are antifungal treatments available for this type of eruption, you should speak to your dermatologist before trying to treat an assumed fungal acne infection.
Most people will have general acne, which is caused by a combination of excess oil production and the bacteria p. acnes. P. acnes gets locked in your hair follicles, proliferates, and then generates the typical acne bumps.

Create A Subtle Cat Eye Using Lash Extensions💕
Create A Subtle Cat Eye Using Lash Extensions💕
This post is dedicated to those of you who don’t want or can’t use a lash strip! If you have a subtle eyeshadow look, a great way to enhance your natural eyeshape is to use individual lash extensions! It’ll give you that your lash but better look and create a charming “atmosphere” around the eye. You don’t have to be a lash artist to do it. All you need is some classic lash glue and individual lashes from a place like LASHIFY - AMPLIFY GOSSAMER LASHES For this eyelook, I created a Demi lash towards the outer corner. A Demi lash is essentially a lash that is about 1/3rd long of a normal strip lash. Starting for the end of the outer corner I used three individual lashes beginning with a 14mm size at the outermost corner. Next would be a 12mm and a finally a 10mm. You can see the difference it makes in the first photo vs the second. In the second photo, I just have mascara, whereas the first photo I have the 3 individual lashes! Tips: 1. Curl and put on your mascara BEFORE you put on the individual lashes. The mascara will provide a sturdy base for the individual lashes to attach to. 2. Use a tweezer to assist with your application and attach the lash to your lash line. DO NOT put it directly on the waterline because this will cause irritation. You do want to be close to it though! 3. I use the lash glue from house of lashes. It’s comfortable and not clumpy. Place the glue on the individual lash like you would normally would on a strip lash. You only need A LITTLE bit of glue. Placing too much will cause difficulty in sticking and it’ll get all over your lashes. Another glue you could use or try is the DUO - DUO Brush-on Adhesive Enjoy your flirty “natural” lashes 💕😄
Skincare Trend - Superfoods 🥬
Skincare Trend - Superfoods 🥬
Skincare trends! Do you follow, skip, or wait for others to give you their honest opinion? Well if you said the latter then I am here to tell you all about this superfood skincare trend and more specifically the kale, green tea, and spinach superfood trend 🥬🥬🥬! The way I found out about this trend was by searching on Instagram and seeing what my fellow beauty bloggers were sharing! For reference, I have oily combo skin with subtle dry patches during the winter season! At the moment my skin is relatively clear with large pores as my main concern. First off is the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser ($10.00 - 2 oz). This cleanser is cold-pressed with antioxidants to remove makeup and prevents build up in the pores, while keeping skin’s pH balanced. It’s meant for most skin types (dry, normal, combo, and oily). You can use it in the morning and evening, however I mainly use it in the evening to truly clear my makeup from the day! Unlike other makeup cleansers, you should dampen face and use two pumps of the superfood cleanser. Then add water gradually to get all makeup off from the face! P.S this product comes in a glass bottle making it great for the environment and recycling! Next superfood spotlight features the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream with kale, spinach, and hyaluronic acid ($48.00 - 2 fl oz). This thick yet lightweight cream is perfect for oily combination skin! It’s full of antioxidants, rich superfoods, and hyaluronic acid! It targets the following concerns: fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, and loss of fitness. The kale is full of vitamins C, E, ana K! The green tea is packed with antioxidants, and HA is a natural hydrator! I like this moisturizer is perfect for my current issues! Like I mentioned before I have oily combination skin and dry spots with the changing weather on the east coast! I’ve been using Youth to the People for a few months and I am excited to share I am a big fan of the products, but they do run on the more expensive side 😕. This is a vegan, cruelty free, and gluten free skincare line! And as far as the skincare trend featuring superfoods, well I am 100% a fan and encourage all to hop on this bandwagon because you will not regret it! Superfoods bring so many benefits to our skin and it would be a shame to not spread the word around for all to hear! #CheriePartner
Fight pollution with antioxidants
Fight pollution with antioxidants
In this short video, I showcase some of my favourite antioxidant products. Skincare that fights pollution is bascially skincare that picks up and neutralizes free-radical damage- and those ingredients are antioxidants. Free radicals are atoms that have an imbalance of electrons- ideally molecules should have a pair of electrons- but free radicals just have 1. This has them "running around" scavenging electrons from other molecules- in turn creating more free radicals. Antioxidants are free molecules that have many electrons free for donations- they dont need to have paired electrons. So they can in turn donate electrons to free radicals and restore balance. Antioxidants are a great way to help prevent signs of aging, sun damage and external pollutants, also known as exposomes. I believe its much easier to prevent than to try to correct the damages later on, which is why antioxidants are my favorite type of ingredient in skincare. I also love that they are usually derived from fruits and other healthy foods, so a) they make great snacks and b) in skincare, they’re usually naturally derived. All the products shown in the video are products that I’m loving- textures are lovely, non tacky and have a smooth finish on the skin. They allow for a very smooth application for makeup overtop as well and I have been seeing lots of smoothing and brightening results with all of them 🙌🏼 #cheriepartner LANCÔME - Énergie de Vie Intense Essence fresh - Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum three ships - Dew Drops Mushroom Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin C Serum HERBIVORE - Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment
Skincare Trends of 2020: Yass 👍 or Pass 👎?
Skincare Trends of 2020: Yass 👍 or Pass 👎?
Hey there! There have been numerous skincare trends that have been going viral this year. Although just because it’s trendy, doesn’t mean it’s effective. ☆ ANTI-POLLUTION If you live in a city, you’re likely exposed to all types of pollution such as free radicals, UV exhaust fumes and even blue light screens are part of the problem (source: HuffPost). I live in San Francisco, CA and definitely deal with the issues mentioned above especially pre-covid. Studies have shown that those who live in larger cities age faster than their suburban counterparts and there is a correlation between air pollution and suffering from skin problems. DE’s D-bronzi and c-firma claim to fight against these issues. •C-Firma contains 15% l-absorbing acid and 1% Vitamin E which create a hardworking complex that help neutralize pollution and environmental stressors (source: byrdie). This product is one of my HG and I use this religiously. I have seen improvements regarding scars and hyperpigmentation and I think the anti-pollution effect is just a bonus •D-Bronzi contains raw cocoa powder which mimic the antioxidant benefits of vitamin D without the damaging effects of UV rays. I am not convinced this will do more than your typical tinted moisturizer with skincare ingredients. However I do love this product especially during the summer time. This also help me darken my foundation needed. • I love how my favorite skincare products contain anti-pollution protection, but I’m not convinced simply because there hasn’t been enough research. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy products specifically for anti-pollution purposes. ☆ANTI BLUE LIGHT •My tinted sunscreen from Elta MD contains ingredients that can potentially protect the skin from blue light damage. •I honestly don’t agree with the anti- blue light hype. Research show that dermatologists are not fully convinced that blue light protection products will do more than a mineral sunscreen with a strong dose of iron oxide. ☆ NIACINAMIDE + HYALURONIC ACID •Both of elta and supergoop sunscreens I own contain Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. •HA has been proven to plump, moisturize the skin and niacinamide has a ton of benefits to the skin. It strengthens the skin’s barrier allowing it to hold moisture better for prolong hydration •I am on board with the HA and niacinamide trend. Research shows that both of these ingredients are beneficial to the skin. Long story short, I am not on board with anti-pollution and anti- blue light skincare products simply because not enough research has been done. However, skincare products that contain hyaluronic acid and niacinamide is a different story! I believe those two ingredients are definitely worth the hype! If you made it this far, congratulations because I know that was a lot. Thank you for reading :) Francesca 💋 #CheriePartner
Hair Growth Remedies You Need To Know
Hair Growth Remedies You Need To Know
We all crave long luscious locks, right? I know I do. Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with Rapunzel-like hair. Hair growth depends on several factors, including diet, environment, and genetic history. However, some remedies can help keep strands healthy, ultimately allowing them to grow long and strong.   I’m sharing my favorite hair growth hacks that I swear by.   About My Hair: I personally have very dry, long, curly hair. I tend to get a lot of breakage because of heat styling and occasional chemical treatments (highlights). My biggest hair concern is keeping my hair and scalp healthy.   My Go-To Hair Growth Products:   Biotin: I take 1 biotin pill every day. While this may not be suitable for all (always ask your doctor first), I did get an OK from my doctor to take them. I do think they really make a difference. I’ve tried a bunch of biotin brands before, and these seem to work best for my hair. Plus, they're pretty inexpensive. You get a 3-month supply for under $20. These are made with coconut oil as well, which helps keep hair hydrated.   Briogeo - Scalp Revival Stimulating Therapy Massager Scalp Massager: Healthy hair starts at the scalp! Once I learned that I’ve never looked back. I use my scalp massager by Briogeo around 2-4 times per week to give my scalp some much-needed love! Massaging the scalp helps improve blood and circulation. When you have increased blood flow, the hair follicles are getting more nutrition. This specific massager from Briogeo was just under $20. Every time I use this, my hair and head feel incredible after.   Hair Growth Tips: #1. Don’t use too much heat. Take it from me. I have scorched my hair so many times. #2. Eat a lot of protein. #3. Don’t over brush wet hair. I only use a wide-tooth comb on my hair when it’s wet.
