Lightweight Falsies That won't Budge!
Wearing false eyelashes is the easiest way to emphasize the charm of the eyes. We always pursue a natural-looking or stunning finished look, but sometimes our eyes have to pay the price for this beautiful moment! Is there any solution? Yes! Lightweight false eyelashes!
Sometimes it can be very difficult for me to find a great, lightweight pair of falsies due to my almost eye shape and hooded eyelids. Typically I find that wispy eyelashes can sometimes be too dramatic and heavy to wear on a day to day basis. So many times I go to wear a pair of false eyelashes and they are just too long for my hooded eyelids. They don't fit the eye shape and are way to long. On the other hand, most lightweight eyelashes tend to look too natural to me. It can be super difficult to find the right balance between drama and practicality.
Before and after
It took a while for me to realize that wearing falsies didn't have to be uncomfortable! Once I found the brand and style that worked for me, I was able to wear them throughout the day without even noticing they were there! One of my favorite lightweight pair of eyelashes is the Ritzy style from the brand KISS. These eyelashes fit perfectly and give me just the right amount of drama. What I like most about this lash in particular is the band; it is very thin allowing them to easily blend into my natural eyelashes. This style also flairs at the end which helps open up my narrow eyes giving me the perfect flirty lash! The lashes are also very affordable and retail for only $4!
Thankfully I do not have to cut the lashes to fit, they already come at a comfortable length. I then like to use DUO quick set lash adhesion (blue pack) and apply a thin even layer across the strip. Finally, I use a tweezer and go in using a sharp angle to apply the strip right on top of my natural lash line. To finish I blend with my go-to Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. They last all day with no trouble.

What is the best way to apply spf and how often?
Understanding what products to use in your routine can be overwhelming, add trying to figure out how much sunscreen you need to put on your face makes it all that more complicated. Thankfully there are some tips to know exactly how much sun protection is the right amount. Proper sun protection is extremely important for everyone, especially if you are also into skincare or use actives (also known as exfoliants or acids). The best way to apply sunscreen or spf is to use the 2 to 3 finger rule for liquid sunscreens. This rule was popularized by Tiara aka MakeupforWOC who is an esthetician on Twitter and Instagram. This method involves using the index and middle finger length of sunscreen, with the option of adding your ring finger to ensure full sun protection for your face, neck and ears. To make sure you have enough sun protection before leaving the house use a full teaspoon to cover the face, neck and ears, then apply whatever else is left over on the back of your hands and half a teaspoon for only your face. When applying sunscreen, make sure there is an even application, rubbing it into the skin and wait 15 minutes before any sun exposure. Reapplication is recommended every 2 hours after the initial application. If you are also wearing makeup there are the options of spray, powder, cream/lotion for spf. The rule of thumb for reapplication of sunscreen is to blot your face before, as the oils from your face can breakdown the spf. My two fav sunscreens are LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ and EVERYDAY HUMANS - Resting Beach Face SPF30 Sunscreen Serum #CheriePartner
Beauty Tip! ⭐️
OK so today I stumbled on another reason why your foundation may be pilling. I have been usingCOLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation And I just recently purchased someit Cosmetics - CC+ Cream Illumination SPF 50+ because i wanted to try it! Here is my big boo boo.... my beauty blender still had the previous product on it... I do wash it like once a week which is not as often as I should but since I mainly just use it for my foundation. It didn’t cause me any problems so I thought nothing of it. Also I only put make up on maybe 2 to 3 times a week so it doesn’t get that dirty. But little did I know that the ingredients in the colourpop foundation would counteract with the ingredients in the it cosmetics cc cream. And the pilling began. 😩 So I just want to take this time to point out how important it is that you have specific brushes and tools for specific liquid products. Even with washing there’s no way to make sure that the product is completely out of your blender. So try these tips! Keep a beauty blender for each of the type of foundation you like to use on a regular basis. Another one for your concealer, and if you’re like me and you like to spray your blender with setting spray and set your make up that way then you need a separate blender for that as well. Also if you are spraying eyeshadow brushes to pack on eyeshadow you make sure that you only have one specific brush that you use for that. Otherwise you’re going to run into issues with your makeup pulling, separating, and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. And while it is recommended that you wash 🧼 your beauty blender after every use in reality a lot of us don’t do that. I am lazy 😬about washing my cosmetic tools which is a BAD practice. One of which I am slowly changing...So in the mean time, this is a simple sure fire way to make sure formulas don’t counter act as you change brands of makeup! 🤗 I have already purchased more blenders to implement this in my life! 😂 #CherieCreator
It’s Just....Eyeliner. 🙄
A part of me was actually REALLY excited to have one of Makeup By Mario’s products. I didn’t realize that it wasn’t really worth it until I counted how many weeks it’s been sitting on my desk. But I did try it about three-four times! There were good things and bad but I couldn’t get over the fact that it was so easy to find a similar product and formulation on the market. I was looking for an eyeliner that didn’t drag on the teeny weeny parts of my eye. There are only two colors that come in the pencil liner, black and brown So here’s the breakdown- 1. Formulation The formulation is much creamer than some eyeliners. The texture is similar to NARS - High-Pigment Longwear Eyelinerand from the looks of the ingredients there are several emollients(ex: Isododecane), waxes(Ex: Carnuba Wax), and stabilizers that ensure the formula doesn’t separate. Emollients help lubricate the skins surface and provide a soft/smooth appearance and feel to the product. Waxes help give product more form and are often used in cosmetics to give the product more thermal stability. This is good if you live in a hot climate, because it prevents the product from melting easily. It’s a classic formulation overall with a couple tweaks in ingredients to give you more blendability. 2. Performance The eyeliner is great on its own if you’ve never tried a pencil liner before. There was typically less skipping the first time I put it on. However, I did find it more difficult to glide onto my eyeshape when I have powder eyeshadow on. I feel like because the formula gets in contact with a powder, some of the emollient features disappear and you aren’t able to blend it into the eye as nicely. It was difficult to get a clean line on the highest points of my eye. When it’s on, it did last over 6 hours of wear in a dry climate. Those of you who have smaller-set eyes like mine, you may end up sharpening the pencil more often than others in order to get a small crisp wing. One of the highlighted features to the pencil was the brush. Looking at it now I’ve never not wanted to roll my eyes so hard to the back of my head. 😆 It’s merely there for convenience and I find that the bristles are way too long and flimsy to really get into the nooks and crannies of the eye to create a perfect smudge. It’s also not the best choice to have on a product when it comes to being eco-friendly. When you swatch it in the hand, it feels amazing. However, your hand is a flat surface with fairly tight skin and the eye area is more delicate. Therefore, you may not get the same result on the eye. I had to lift and shift some of the skin on my eye to get a clean line, which can be annoying if you’re in a pinch. 3. Final Verdict It’s a brown liner. You can literally get the same thing from FENTY BEAUTY - Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner or 3CE - Super Slim Waterproof Eyeliner 3CE Liners are awesome and go for 13 dollars!
