A leader in clean beauty, Fresh is one of the first "natural" brands that entered the mainstream skincare game. Prior to a month ago, I hadn't really tried their products. It honestly seems like EVERYONE is getting into natural skincare--including myself! I love plant based and Ayurvedic based skincare! Fresh seems like a happy marriage of clean beauty and effective skincare. I wanted to review these products from Fresh and breakdown what I think it a must have and what might be a pass! For reference I have combination skin: oily on my forehead and chin and pretty dry and sometimes patchy around my mouth!
1. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser (9/10)
This cleanser is an absolute treat to use! It's "A bestselling three-in-one face wash that gently melts away makeup and mascara (without the sting!), removes impurities, and tones for clean, balanced skin." I totally agree with how gentle the cleanser is--however one wash for me is never enough. I use an oil cleanser first and then use this product to double cleanse my face! I love the cucumber scent so much! The reason for the 9 is JUST that I feel like it's a little pricey for a cleanser.
2. Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner (7.5/10)
When I think of Fresh—this is the first product I invision. As a leader and pioneer in the clean beauty space, Fresh has grown to be a beloved favorite, with their rose products being at the center of their brand. I really enjoy using this for the scent (it's AMAZING), but I haven't really been able to tell if it's doing much for my skin or if it's more effective that just putting rose water in a spray bottle! I open this product JUST to smell if all the time though, so jury is still out! It does leave my skin soft and removes any extra makeup that was left!
3. Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Face Cream (10/10)
I am SO SO obsessed with this face cream--and I had never heard of this cream until recently! It's a "lightweight night cream powered by antioxidant-rich super lotus that helps skin recover overnight for a more youthful look by morning." I can't get over the INCREDIBLE smell! It's the first thing you notice when you open this product. When I use this at night, I wake up with beautifully hydrated, plump skin. I even love it under makeup even though it's techincally a night cream. This is an absolute MUST try!
4. Fresh Petal Soft Lip Cream (10/10)
This product is my second "must have" of the bunch! This lip balm has to be my favorite lip balm of all time. I know what you’re thinking: “I have a million lip balms”. I thought the same thing before trying this but it LITERALLY smells and feels like blended up roses on your lips. It smells amazing and leaves my lips super conditioned and ready for a liner and lipstick. I even use it as a mask before sleeping to wake up with smooth AF lips!

Why pH of skincare products is important?
Why pH of skincare products is important?
The pH is defined as the negative logarithm (base ten) of the concentration of free hydrogen ions in aqueous solution. The pH of skin surface ranges from 4.5 to 6 making it slightly acidic. The acidic nature of the whole skin surface was first claimed by Heuss in 1892; however, the first scientific study was carried out by Schade and Marchionini in 1928, who called it the acid mantle. The “acid mantle” protects the skin by inhibiting the growth of pathogenic organisms, regulating keratinization, desquamation and wound healing. Any disruption in the acid mantle disrupts the activity of enzymes involved in barrier function and anti-microbial protection. The skin pH and the buffering capacity of the skin surface are made up of the components of the stratum corneum as well as the secretions from sebaceous and sweat glands. Sweat is an important contributor towards skin acidity owing to its content of amino acid, lactic acid, and urea, which supplement skin NMF levels. The formation of stratum corneum barrier requires enzymes that are pH dependent. Two lipid-processing enzymes β-glucocerebrosidase and acidic sphingomyelinase require a pH of 5.6 and 4.5, respectively. An increased skin surface pH activates enzyme serine proteases, which causes degradation of corneodesmosomes and affects the skin barrier. pH also has a big impact on the skin microbiome. The bactericidal activity, because of dermicidin and nitrites in sweat, occurs optimally at pH 5.5. The resident bacterial flora changes as pH increases causing increase in population and activity of P. acnes and Staphylococcus aureus which are responsible for acne and eczema. All these result in contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, ichthyosis, acne vulgaris and Candida albicans infections. Products with high pH cause swelling of skin follicles affecting the permeability of the skin making it dry, sensitive, and susceptible. Most of the skincare products are formulated within the pH range of normal healthy skin except the exfoliating products that contain alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA’s), Vitamin C products and chemical peel which work at low pH. Facial oils, cleansing oils, balms are not pH dependent.

✨Cute Bun Hairstyle✨
✨Cute Bun Hairstyle✨
Hi Guys!!! I recently saw this scrolling on Pinterest and I wanted to recreate it! It’s SO easy and took about 5 minutes total!! It looks so fancy yet it’s so simple! I have medium to thin hair but this can work on pretty much all hair types! (: (tip: spray texture spray beforehand) this helps it stay in better!)☺️ HOW TO: -I like to pull my bangs out first (: - you’re going to section it as if you’re doing a half up half down hairstyle -then you’re going to start twisting that part of your hair -I twist it around like I’m doing a ballerina bun😅 -then I secure it with a hair tie ❤️ -you can leave like that! Or I like to pull it out a little so it’s more loose!✨😊
GRWM! New products and some old!
GRWM! New products and some old!
Hello everyone! I did another GRWM using some new and old products! First I started off with a primer. I used e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer I was actually really surprised by this. It reminded me of Tachas silk canvas primer. It went on smoothly and did a good job of blurring my skin. I will say though after I looked at my makeup in the mirror up close it did settle a bit into my pores and my creases and was pretty noticeable. Overall I think this is a good product and will work for people with smoother skin. e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer Then I used the elf concealer. I love this concealer. I’ve used it so many other times in my other videos. WINKY LUX - Diamond Powder Foundation Then I used the winky lux foundation. This actually went on so nicely and was super natural looking. I love how it’s so weightless and decreases shine. I would recommend this for people with oilier skin. the CRÈME shop - "Macro Brow" Angled Brow Pencil + Spooley Then i used macro brow. This is just to fill in the last bits of my eyebrow to look fuller. It’s easy to use and has a great price point. I just wish the pigment was a little easier to apply. You have to push so hard. RITUEL DE FILLE - Rare Light Crème Luminizer My favorite brand of highlighters ever. Just so pretty and pigmented. All natural and cruelty free. An amazing brand overall. 💞 fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 I used a tinted fresh lip treatment. Love the way they hydrate and the subtle color it gives off. They also smell and taste really good 😂. Hope you enjoyed getting ready with me! Let me know if you have any questions about the products I used.
Dry Shampoo white residue? Don’t worry I got you
Dry Shampoo white residue? Don’t worry I got you
I love a dry shampoo with a lot of powder because it is what is absorbing the oil to make your hair look less greasy. However, sometimes there is a little white powder residue that I can’t seem to rub into my dark hair. Simple solution 💡!! Shine spray! It makes it all blend away! Using: KLORANE - Detox Dry Shampoo With Organic Aquatic Mint REDKEN - Shine Flash 02 Shine Spray
