For example, if you are looking to elevate your skincare routine or address any specific concerns you have, you could provide any of the following information and ask for specific routine help or new product recommendations: 🍒Your skin type: oily, dry, or combination? 🍒Skin concerns : wrinkles, dark spots, pores, acne? 🍒 How long have you been seeing specific skin concerns? 🍒 Products you have used to treat your skin concerns 🍒 Products you are using now 🍒 Post some selfies to show your concerns / skin type so others can have a better understanding of how to provide help and recommendations! Here are some examples from our community: @itsarianna posted that her specific skin concern is acne and wanted to get tips and recommendations for anti-acne products. She posted her full current routine and described her personal experiences, as well as current pictures of her skin.
My skin is very acne prone skin and has been as long as I can remember, yet I’ve never been able to find anything that really works, you know? Thus, I’ve decided to put my current routine out there in the hopes that someone, anyone might be able to offer some advice or tips to help. Morning: wash with the 3.5% 🛒 Neutrogena - Rapid Clean Stubborn Acne Cream Solution (I’ve searched for a 10% formula but I guess it’s not carried in Canada) tone with 🛒 Pixi - Glow Tonic with 5% glycolic. Sometimes I also use 🛒 THAYERS - Lavender Facial Toner but not as often anymore mix 3 drops of 🛒 lavido - Invigorating Facial Serum with 3 drops of 🛒 íUNIK - Tea Tree Relief Serum and a pump of vitamin C serum from a local brand called Truly Lifestyle Brand. I’m not sure it’s the best to mix my serums like that but hey. Also the vitamin C serum is a 17% concentration. moisturize with 🛒 Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30. I actually do feel as if this has helped my acne but I could just be imagining it; I used to believe that my old moisturizer broke me out before I switched to this one. Sometimes I feel dry since it’s oil absorbing I guess but it’s not frequent. lastly is 🛒 OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème; I don’t suffer from dark under eyes but I still like this one. Evening: wash with same neutrogena face wash tone with pixi toner I used to use the proactiv md 3 step routine and although I don’t use the cleanser and rarely use the sunscreen-moisturizer, I recently started using the 🛒 proactiv - Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment again use the same serums minus the vit c serum moisturize with the 🛒 AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay . I’m not concerned about anti-aging, I was recommended this for helping with the skin barrier. Sometimes for nighttime I also mix this moisturizer with the 🛒 LANEIGE- Cica Sleeping Mask or 🛒 SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask spot treat overnight with Weekly: one or twice a week, surprise surprise, I use 🛒 The Ordinary- AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution for my pores and to fade my dark spots. usually once a week, sometimes twice I use the 🛒 AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay with acv a bit less frequently I use the 🛒 alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask, this one I feel is less effective than the Aztec clay mask but I still like it It might also be worth mentioning that I also have been taking 30mg of zinc which I heard helps with acne, and in the mornings I drink a mixture of acv, lemon juice, turmeric, and cayenne in hot water. I also used to juice celery but I don’t have a juicer right now so haven’t been doing that recently. I feel like that’s enough information but I love getting advice about skincare and talking about it so I’d be happy to give more info if anyone would like it😊😊In response, multiple cherie community members came to share love and provide her with personalized help and useful advice! This user @ElaizaSAE posted about her personal information, skin, and included an excel to show what products she currently uses every day along with a photo of her skin.
So, i've recently had an awakening when i realized that i was slowly (yet, quickly) approaching my 30s (turning 27 in October). Figured, now is a good time to start taking care of my skin and tbh, just had my two kids and it'll feel nice to pamper myself now. I've started dipping my toes into the skincare world quite recently and have done so by watching Skincare by Hyram, Susan Yara, and reading up on all sorts of skincare junkie pages. So far, i've learned the basics and am attempting to incorporate more "serious" products (serums and treatments) into my skincare routine (which was just cleanser, toner, vit c, moisturizer, spf and the ocassional mask). First thing's first: i have oily combo skin. Not acne prone, just the ocassional pimple now and then. I also live in Ontario and have kids under two and workout 3x/week. So that pretty much tells you my state and environment. So i've pretty much laid the whole routine out out in my chart (hehe sorry, i love charts). I had to do it since it was so intimidating to begin with specialized products. I haven't used the REN or Laneige masks, or the TO retinol yet, but am going to this week. Been using the Thayer's tone, SPF and complex 15 for about 3 months now and they've been fine. Everything else has been used twice. I don't cleanse in the morning. Just the thayer's toner and the rest. My issues are probably an oily Tzone, larger pores and uneven skintone. I'd love any tips, advice or Feedback! Thx!Fellow cherie community members were then able to use the details she provided to recommend her new products and suggestions to elevate her routine and take her skin to the next level! In this example, @madihomewood posts about her skin concern being large pores. After using the Skin Report selfie feature on cherie, she learned to pay more attention to this concern and then posted to ask our community for specific product recommendations and tips for addressing this.
Just did my first face journey selfie!!! I love @cherie , it has made me so much more confident in my skin and even my skin flaws knowing there is a giant beauty community here to help! I love the skincare journey feature and I’m so excited to be able to document my progress. And so I digress, turns out my pores are HUGE. After doing my skincare selfie I immediately ordered 🛒 OLE HENRIKSEN - Cold Plunge Pore Mask the but am wondering if anyone has a similar skin profile and what they recommend ?! 💛✨The cherie community very quickly came to share helpful suggestions and recommendations! If you are curious about learning more about your own skin, you can explore the Skin Journey selfie feature by clicking "Skin Journey" on "Me" in the profile page. 🦋butterfly is waving on my eyelids!
You probably have already seen all over your instagram page or even tiktok millions of people doing butterfly related makeup. It’s so beautiful and you wish you could do something like that. I got you girl. I will show you how to do an amazing butterfly makeup you can wear this Halloween. I have pretty pale skin, which makes my veins in my eyes to show up a lot, so first of all, we prepare our face with moisturizer and primer. We apply concealer the eye to use as a base. After everything is ready to go, you are going to take a liquid eyeliner and in the inner corner of your eye, draw a sort of circle. You can make it as big as you want. Then you are going to put the shadows you want your butterfly to have. I chose shades of orange. I really love Morphe shadows. They are very affordable and have an exceptional quality. Very pigmented and durable. I am using Morphe x James Charles. After that, you are going to make some lines. As random as possible, some thicker than the other and in al direction. Something like this. The top part of our eye is all done. Now for the bottom part. First, we can to do our base. We apply foundation, concealer, bronzer and blush. Then, we are going to repeat the steps we did for the top part of the eye for the bottom. Do a circle, color it and then do random lines everywhere. It should look something like this. You can add some white dots in the ticker parts of the eyeliner for more detail. The last step is to do your brows, apply mascara and a pinkish lipstick (to continue with the same type of colors). And you are done. You now have an amazing butterfly in your eyes. Now you can flutter your eyes in two ways!
2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Hermès
This look is inspired by models for Hermes for 2021 spring/summer fashion week. This look focuses on super dewy skin and a bold, red lip as the center of attention. This look was really easy to recreate and something I would actually rock IRL (except for the lack of mascara because mascara is bae). I’ve included the inspo photo from Allure. To add a glowy base to my complexion, I used Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid . I only ever use 1 pump of this oil-serum hybrid because I think any more makes me look like a grease ball. I applied this all over my face and dabbed a tiny amount onto my eyelids. This product is perfect for applying on bare skin, under makeup, and can even be used over makeup for a natural, wet-looking highlight. After I applied my complexion products, I dabbed a tiny amount onto the high points of my cheekbones. Sticking with the dewy theme, I used the ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in “balos”. I’m not sure if the models were wearing complexion products because their skin looked super natural, yet also “flawless”. Since I have some redness on my cheeks, I used this skin tint to even out my skin tone and amp up the dew. I lightly concealed underneath my eyes with the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer in “light peach”. The models don’t appear to be wearing any cheek products, though I did add a tiny bit of AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour in “fawn” to help sculpt my cheeks a tiny bit like the models. I finished the look off with the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in “always red”. I’ve had a mini of this for quite a while. It’s beautiful, comfortable despite being matte, does leave a tint behind, and is long-wearing. This is the kind of lipstick that would last from the runway well into the after party (in non-COVID times, of course). The models don’t appear to be wearing any mascara, so I skipped that. I filled in my brows a bit more than usual for a fuller appearance. I used the essence - Superlast Eyebrow Pomade Pencil in “dark brown”. Such a fun look! You guys it’s sooo hard not to smile. How do models do it?! 🤪 Look for another fashion week look soon. All brands are cruelty-free except for Sephora Collection. Prices: futuredew $24, skin tint $46, concealer $6, contour stick $1, lip stain (full size) $15, brow pencil $3.50 #Cherie Partner

My Favorite Falsies! 👑 ✨ 💖
I am OBSESSED with falsies! This is going to sound extra, but I honestly feel like a different woman when I put them on. They complete a makeup look and can make it go from 0-100. They are an essential part of opening your eyes and enhancing the best features of your eyes. You can go for natural ones, dramatic, attention grabbing and whatever mood you’re feeling! In fact, I love them so much that I actually used to invest in lash extensions. I have been using falsies since I was in high school so I have experienced good falsies and bad ones too. I have almond shaped eyes and I understand that it could be overwhelming to find the right falsies for your eye shape...this is one of the reasons why I LOVE House of Lashes. They have an eye shape guide and recommend which lash styles are best for you. My top three favorite lashes from this brand are: Au Naturale, Bouidoir Lite and Demure Lite. 1) Au Naturale I go for these often. They are wearable for any occasion. This gives a “your lash but better guide”. I also use this when I create a dramatic look, but don’t want to over power it with lashes. 2) Boudoir Lite This has a dense center. They are dramatic, but soft enough. I go for these when I go out 3) Demure Lite These are also soft and more on the natural side with an oomph. This helps open my eyes and emphasize any eye look. House of lashes are a bit on the mid range price. However, ELF and Ardell are also my fav falsies that are on the affordable side. My favorite “your lashes, but better” falsies is the Ardell Wispies. These look sooo natural! I use it as an alternative to my Au Naturale. Another falsies that I always grab for especially if I want the attention stealing is the ELF Social Butterfly. These are faux mink lashes and did I mention they are $3?! Ardell and ELF are very affordable, but HOL falsies are much easier to apply so if you’re a beginner, I would suggest you invest in HOL. It’s worth it! Lashes can be reused 15+ times depending on how you care for them. Here are my quick step by step for falsies: 1) Measure the lashes to your eyes and cut to your desired length. Most falsies are large so always measure it to your eye first. 2) For easier application, grab one of those lash glues with wand. Apply extra glue on the corners of the lashes because these tend to come off easily 3) Wait 30 seconds for the glue to become tacky then grab your tweezers to apply falsies closest to your lash line. 4) Hold it until it is fully glued to your natural lashes 5) This step is optional, but apply mascara to diffuse your falsies to your natural lashes. This will give you a natural result 6) Apply eyeliner or use a dark eyeshadow to hide the lash band. 7) Voila! Then enjoy! It took me a while to get this down. I’ve been applying eyelashes for more than 10 years and even to this day, I’m still not the best at it. Just keep practicing! What is your favorite falsies? Xoxo, Francesca 💋 #CheriePartner
🍵 green tea works!! for dark circles
I've had struggles with insomnia since I was a kid. At one point, I accepted my dark circles. But sometimes, making yourself look healthier can make you FEEL better. And that's important. When you lose sleep, your skin gets paler, & your blood vessels dilate. So thin, pale skin + bigger vessels = dark under eyes. The 1st solution is to sleep more. But the 2nd works really well for our off days! 🍃 GREEN TEA TREATMENT 🍃 I was skeptical of this at first. But it WORKS. In the first pic (above), I had gotten 4 hours of sleep. In the after (below) pic, I had done a green tea bag soak. Tutorial : Soak two tea bags in water in your refrigerator. I left mine overnight. Try to use pure green tea. I used the #Twinings - Green Tea[products]#[FiveStars] Take the bags, squeeze excess water, and apply them over your eyes. Leave a little water so it can get snug on your eyes (like a blanket). I put the thick end on my under eye, and fit the top part on my upper lid. Both are important to reduce dark circles. Remove after 15 minutes. And that's it! Your eyes will look less red, and you'll feel more awake. I know the process is long- so it's not ideal for when you're in a rush. But it's also very anti-anxiety. My facial muscles felt relaxes, and the redness was 75% gone. My skin felt tighter (in a good way) for a few hours. 🍂TESTING ANOTHER METHOD🍂 I wanted to try a quick under eye cream for days where I only have a minute. So I tried the PACIfICA - Rose Jelly Beauty Sleep Undereye Gel In the 4th pic, the top is me before, and the bottom is me after. What I did: Leave it in the fridge over night In the morning, rub the product in (using the glass beads to massage the eyes). Sadly, the difference was minimal. It made me feel relaxed, but I wonder if I should have used more of the gel / kept the cooling beads on longer. 🧪 INGREDIENTS BREAKDOWN 🧪 I think green tea worked better because I kept it on (and cold) so long. It has a high concentrate of caffeine and ECGC. Both constrict blood vessels, and reduce inflammation. The Pacifica product has caffeine, too. But its first ingredient is witch hazel (reduces swelling). It also has caffeine, rose extract (reduces lines), and blue tansy (soothes irritation). All these are helpful to target dark circles, but maybe they're not potent enough. And the tube is small, so I don't want to use too much of it. On the plus side, it kept my under eyes moisturized all day. So I'll still take it for on the go. But if you REALLY need to look awake for a Zoom meeting or appointment? Green tea is the way to go!

Over-Exfoliated Skin: What To Do NextOver-exfoliation has a plethora of symptoms, ranging from redness and inflammation, tightness of the skin, dryness and flakiness, irritation bumps, rashes, breakouts, and a stinging sensation. With the rise in popularity of at-home chemical exfoliation, it’s easier than ever before to take it a step too far. Everyone is trying out TikTok-famous products like The Ordinary’s AHA 30% and BHA 2% Peeling Solution without an understanding of how strong it really is. Chemical exfoliation is all the rage now, due to its ability to clear up acne, even out the skin tone, and give you a glowy look. But none of these things will happen if you don't exfoliate properly!Sep. 29
