I have been testing out this product for quite a while now and I have been so excited that it’s now an empty and it’s time to share my thoughts about how this product works! What is the consistency? The consistency is a super hydrating light-weight texture that feels extremely moisturising on the face without the feeling of it being too oily. I found the 🛒Hydrating Facial Cleanser | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ way too oily and clogged my pores which resulted in painful breakouts. The Neutrogena cleanser allows my skin to breathe which I love! Did it remove makeup well? I always double cleanse with another hydrating cleanser or micellar water but I can’t lie when I’ve ran out of those and only had this cleanser to use and it does a damn good job! When rubbing this into my skin I feel the makeup melt away without having to tug or aggressively wash my skin, this melts perfectly! Even days when I just wear sunscreen this melts it away and leaves the skin with a fresh, plump feel. I would still recommend a micellar water prior just to ensure your pores aren’t clogged if you are wearing makeup. What skin types does this suit? I personally have dry skin and this works perfectly for me but, I can really see combination and oily skin types loving this also as it doesn’t have a greasy, oily feel like some cleansers do. It’s a perfect amount of hydrating. Results? I have noticed my skin improve so significantly in terms of hydration - my skin looks so plump and youthful. My skin is less dull as I feel some other cleansers just pull and tug on my skin with no benefits. It has everything I want within a cleanser in terms of removing dirt and oil, providing hydration and great results. I have found so many holy grails this past month and this is definitely one of them! I have also been using the 🛒Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer which a review will be posted within the next few days! Overall this product is sooo good. Thank you for reading 😊This is another great example from @Jillianb1 who comments her thoughts regarding Aloe Vera. She also created a long post about this product on her account to expand more on her experience and provide more insight! Apart from introducing basic product information in her excellent post, she also provided structured beauty tips to target specific skincare concerns. All of this information is super helpful to others in our community!
We ALL know about how ACV 🍎has become quite the health and beauty item that know one knew they had! And with all of the claims of the general public how could it go wrong?! 🤷🏻♀️ THE LOW DOWN ACV 🍎has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties that can help kill bacteria and yeast on the skin related to concerns like acne, eczema, and dandruff. there are also claims that it can fade fine lines and brighten the overall appearance of your skin when used as a toner. HOW SO?! We all know that there are many different types of acids to tackle many different types of problems and we purchase them every day spending lots of 💵...However ACV 🍎has a very high acidity and it contains citric acid, alpha hydroxy acid, & polyphenolic antioxidants which are all known to do wonders for skin concerns. THE ACIDS HELP RESTORE YOUR NATURAL pH! Now this all sounds wonderful but in reality the benefits are all just claims of people who have used it and there’s not that much real science backing it up on the good or bad outcomes. ⚠️ ACV is NOT a cure all!!! 🍎 Yes lots of skin care companies are now adding it into products, but keep in mind it’s diluted! There are a LOT of other ingredients as well. ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR DERM FIRST!!! SPOT TREAT! Nothing worse than burning your whole face.🥵 ❌🆘I recommended this to my sister and she had a severe reaction and her skin burned. ❌📛 MY EXPERIENCE I tried this trend about a year and a half ago and at first it did clear up some of my acne. I just saw it on Pinterest and just dove in. I did not fully know all the ins and outs of using ACV 🍎. First it’s smells terrible....like feet 🦶 and it does burn a little bit. I have combination skin that is on the more dry side, and hormonal breakouts and this product turned on me. It dried my skin out worse which caused more acne, and the only thing it was doing was making my face smell bad. There was no change in my fine lines, and it didn’t brighten my skin at all. I used it like 3 to-4 times a week and then I went down to 1-2 times. Yes I started big and then went small...don’t do that. 🤗 No combination worked for me. I do have to say if you’re interested in trying this DIY toner baby steps... HOW TO MAKE IT Dilute 1 tablespoon ACV in 2 cups filtered water 💦 , apply with cotton ball and gently sweep on skin, then rinse. Start at 2-3 times a week as a part of your acne treatment routine. FINAL THOUGHT ⚠️ Proceed with CAUTION! ⚠️ Listen to your skin!!!! ⚠️Spot Test!!!! Over all not a product for me ever again. Some people love it, and for digestive health it’s wonderful. We're so grateful to have you all as a part of the community and to see you all helping one another via comments and we can't wait to see you all continue to share useful knowledge via posts as well! For those that are just getting started on creating new posts, here are some guiding questions and tips on what you should include:🍒 Basic information about your skin, such as your skin type and specific concerns.🍒 Feelings: all your thoughts and opinions about the product.🍒 Pron & Cons: Is it suitable for your skin? Would you recommend it to others? We would love to see your amazing posts and what products and personal insights you would like to share with us! NIACINAMIDE explained! $6 serums worth trying!
Try these $6 serums to reap the many benefits of niacinamide! Hey everyone! I’m sure you’ve heard and seen so much about 𝙉𝙄𝘼𝘾𝙄𝙉𝘼𝙈𝙄𝘿𝙀 lately. It seems like every new skincare product has it and the niacinamide serums are selling like crazy. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐞? Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3. It’s the latest trend in skincare, but has been used in skincare for a very long time. It has many benefits from helping acne, repairing skin, smoothing fine lines.. the list goes on. You can find it as it’s own serum or as a main ingredient along with other powerhouse ingredients. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 locks in moisture; helps build a lipid barrier. prevents environmental damage + protects from environmental stressors and pollution. minimizes pores reduces inflammation; helps redness w/ acne and eczema. regulates oil production. rebuilds skin cells protects against sun damage & skin cancer. ( you still need SPF) helps hyperpigmentation (not to a vitamin c extent, but can help lighten spots a bit) minimizes fine lines and wrinkles *yes plz* helps acne! Overtime a decrease in breakouts. 𝙂𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣 2 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨. 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣: I have incorporated Niacinamide into my skincare routine for the last 3 months and I have noticed + a decrease in breakouts. + less oily skin + huge change in my pores, way less visible around my nose and cheeks. + less eczema than usual for this time of the year for me. 𝘾𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩? For the most part, yes... Some people do have a sensitivity to niacinamide and can break out from it. If you start to break out different than your normal while using it, I suggest taking it out of your routine to see if it is not a match for your skin. 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙉𝙞𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙧𝙮: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Since I’ve switched to this “holy grail” my skin has drastically improved. It also includes Zinc which helps with acne as well. $5.90 a price that is TOO good. Sold at Ulta and Sephora. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum Another great serum! I’ve used this one before and it works almost just as well as the ordinary. It is also %10 niacinamide. The brand also has an amazing niacinamide toner! $6 online at good molecules. Both of these serums are 10% niacinamide. Studies have shown that 2-5% works very effectively so you don’t need such a high percentage. #cheriepartner #cheriecreator
I just tried OLAPLEX Nº 0 & Nº 3 🤷🏻♀️
☁️This 2-part treatment system takes 20+ minutes. You do it on dry hair before you shampoo & condition. First you saturate your hair with Nº 0, wait 10 minutes, don’t rinse, then add Nº 3 & leave on for an additional 10+ minutes. Nº 3 can be used alone, but Nº 0 is meant to be used only as a precursor for Nº 3. I originally bought this for my bf’s heavily damaged hair, but he’s so lazy about using anything😑 So finally we made it happen. My hair isn’t currently damaged from bleach like it used to be, however, because I have a neurological disease, some days I’m in so much pain, tossing & turning in bed all day, I pull my hoodie over my head & use a heating pad on it. Days like this my thick hair becomes a wreck. Swipe for photos. I definitely get a lot of breakage around my hairline, I’m so over it lol, I’ve got silk pillowcases coming in the mail💤💌 I picked a “bad hair day” like this from the other day after my flareup calmed down to try this 2-part treatment system for you guys. I’m aware that no hair treatment can make a strand of hair full length again once it’s snapped short... I was more curious to see what this treatment could do for my bf’s hair. He washes it waaay too much because he thinks it’s dirty due to his job, which gives his hair tons of sun damage. I was mortified when he told me he washes it twice a day! Don’t do this! It strips away your natural oils! His hair is so brittle & dry! OLAPLEX - No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment Kit $28/5.2 of Nº 0 + 1 oz of Nº 3 Everyone seems to be raving about Olaplex products, so I had my hopes set pretty high. This may be an unpopular opinion, but this treatment didn’t impress me much. I have to use sooo much product for my hair & it’s only shoulder length. My hair is extremely thick, I’m no stranger to using extra product, but this was a little ridiculous. I used almost the entire full size Nº 0 & every last drop of the sample size Nº 3. The amount I used on my bf was quite little. His hair is very thin & only like 4-5” long. OLAPLEX - No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment $28/5.2 oz He thought I was using a lot, because the nozzle dispenses so slowly (which is good I guess because the consistency is like water) but the level only went down about a half inch. Not really any scent. I found it so time consuming to do this step myself. The applicator made me feel like I was in highschool using box dye. I actually transferred it to an empty (& clean) Briogeo spray bottle because I was so frustrated. It dispensed it a lot faster, but still be very careful. I had a cut on finger & it burned really bad, so don’t get it in your eyes! OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector $28/3.3 oz Similar to typical hair conditioner in texture/consistency/scent-easy to apply. THE RESULTS: His hair: still fried This just wouldn’t be feasible for my hair considering I emptied a $28 bottle for 1 use. Hair was soft after nothin special.
🍬🍃TATCHA MINIS HAUL🍃🍬
💜This is a recent Tatcha haul I scooped from Sephora with my VIB discount & saved up points, but I definitely placed an order today on tatcha.com to take advantage of their 20% off sale. Such a good time to purchase from Tatcha! I grabbed a couple old 5 star favorites like the Gold Spun lip balm & their Japanese blotting papers, as well as some other things I’ve been wanting to check out. Tatcha is actually an American brand, made in Japan🇯🇵, that adheres to Japan’s official safety & purity standards, one of the highest in the world, much stricter than the US (for more on that, check out my last post, or the 2015 documentary on Netflix called Stink) They were recently acquired by Unilever, so I hope they don’t ever change their standards! Tatcha sources all of their botanical extracts, ingredients & actives from plants grown in the most renowned provenances of Japan. 🍵🍚🌊Their formulas revolve around key ingredients Green Tea, Rice & Seaweed, the trinity of superfoods, rich in both nutrients & Japanese history, based on a Japanese document from 1813 which captured the beauty rituals of the time. ➕Their 2x fermented ‘Hadasei-3 complex’ yields over 85 actives like Enzymes, Minerals, Lactic & Amino Acids. It’s been a couple years since I’ve purchased Tatcha products, I’ve always loved their face creams, but we all know Tatcha is pricey!!! I think I was just always into moving on & trying something new, but oh how I missed them! I haven’t had as much luck with Tatcha cleansers in the past, I do adore their rice polish exfoliators 🍚 but personally was never a fan of the ‘One Step Camellia cleansing oil’ scent. I don’t think I’ve ever tried ‘The Deep Cleanse’ but I’m actually most excited to try their new cream cleanser: ‘The Rice Wash’🍚💦 I was also excited to finally try ‘The Silk Peony melting eye cream’ too, so this set was a no brainer! TATCHA - Pure & Glowing Trio set: $72 The ‘Pure & Glowing Trio’ set includes: a full size 1.7 oz Dewy Skin cream ($68) a 1.7 oz Rice Wash cleanser (full size is $35/4 oz) & 0.17 oz Silk Peony eye cream (full size $60/.5 oz) 🍬For now I’m just gonna share texture swatches & ingredients, but stay tuned... I’ll be rating everything in full review of every product coming soon! 💧TATCHA - Balanced Skin Duo The other products pictured are minis from a ‘Sephora Beauty Insider’ 300-point option that included: one mini ‘The Deep Cleanse’ 0.85 oz & one mini ‘The Water Cream’ 0.34 oz TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser Full size: $38/5 oz TATCHA - The Water Cream Full size $68/1.7 oz 💜In the meantime, check out that sale! And tell me your favorite Tatcha product(s) in the comments... or tell me about the ones that didn’t work for you!
Trending Super Ingredient: Collagen ✨
Collagen has been a trending super ingredient for what seems like some time now! There are even brands (like Elemis and Algenist) who take this ingredient to a whole new level and create entire lines dedicated to them. I wanted to take a second and talk about what collagen can (and can’t) do for the skin. Collagen is a protein that provides structure to the majority of your body. It provides the firmness and strength of the skin. It is something your body produces naturally but at the age of 25 the production slows down. The skincare market has turned the term collagen into an anti-aging buzzword. I’ve seen many claims that it can help stimulate collagen growth but this isn’t true. The only thing topically applied collagen will do is moisturize the skin. It’s a great moisturizer at that but the molecule is too large to penetrate the top layer of skin therefore most “benefits” brands claim with it are not true. I wanted to break down some products that I’ve had the pleasure of trying (which were gifted by Elemis except for the little marine cream SPF 30 which I got in gratis) that contain collagen. Despite collagen not being the super anti aging powerhouse the market makes it seem to be I do like these products. First, the ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30 is a lightweight cream perfect for the morning. I have oily yet dehydrated skin but I’ve noticed as the weather has been changing it’s been slightly more dry so I’ve been using this. It absorbs really well and has a really pleasant berry smell (I don’t normally care for scents in skincare but I make exceptions as my face isn’t sensitized right now). Next, the ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Eye Revive Mask has been my FAVORITE go to night eye cream. It has a thick gel consistency which feels amazing under the eyes. It’s really moisturizing and luxurious. Next, the ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra-Rich which I’ve personally been using as a neck cream at night. This cream has a thicker consistency compared to the regular marine cream making it perfect for those with dry skin. It’s very moisturizing and smells like the normal marine cream. Next, the ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Energising Marine Cleanser is something that I hate that I like it so much because it’s over priced for a cleanser (tbh everything Elemis is overpriced and I only recommend it if you have the money to spend/want to). It smells AMAZING like the marine cream (which I’m okay with since it’s a wash off treatment). It’s a gel consistency that lathers really well without stripping the skin. It does a really good job cleansing my face and I’ve yet to have it feel stripped. Finally, the ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm which I do think is very moisturizing like the whole line but it’s not my favorite cleansing balm. It washes off nice but it’s a bit goopy in consistency and the vapors irritate my eyes.
NEW BEAUTY YOU NEED✨
I know so many people haven’t had the chance to really dress up during covid and wear any makeup at all even with all the releases😭 Sometimes there are so many releases that it gets hard to keep track of everything and to really know where to spend your money so I’m here to tell you, this is where you really should 💸 Ived followed Vesca Beauty on IG since another influencer mentioned the bronzer like they originally released and the inclusivity with the shades really was the hype! Not only that but the inclusion and the quality of the products were amazing too so it’s a win win!🥳 After getting my hands on the two launches they had, I knew I needed more so I went out and bought their new highlighters and their latest release with their lip oils! 👏🏽 so here are some initial thoughts When it came to the lip oils, I really didn’t think much, I thought they maybe too slippery but that brown shade was calllllling my name and I knew I needed it and honestly it looked so beautiful on their model, I decided to go for it! ✊🏽 and I have to say, this is my new GO TO lip product! I’ve been obsessed with the fenty gloss bombs for years now but this has kind of replaced it for the time being VESCA - Lush Glow Creamy Lip Oil they are legging luscious like the name and super moisturizing and hydrating and pack a punch with colour but you can wear it sheer as well! I mean they are so soft and velvety without feeling like their is a ton of product on the lips! I’m thoroughly surprised As for the their highlighters, I really like the shade but just haven’t been able to play with them as much but they do have a a very buttery formula when using your fingers so as a eyeshadow, this will be gorgeous VESCA - Stargaze Luminous Glow I didn’t expect anything less from such an amazing brand and the size of these are just right as well! Not too big yet not tiny either cause really, who actually finishes an entire highlighter?🤭😉 #cheriepartner
