Cream Foundation For Special Occasions

Many of my beautiful readers know that I am due to get married. Well, it has been so stressful to try to plan during the apocalypse. Still, I was finally able to get some engagement photos. My fantastic photographer and, of course, friend Maggie Kenter, squeezed me in for a quick sesh. That was finally a huge stress relief, but that left the clothes and the makeup to do.
I chose to use a cream foundation for these pictures that lasts through heat, sweat, and humidity. The day we took pictures, it was 90 degrees and 80% humidity, and this foundation was the perfect solution to look good in all the photos she took of me.
Inglot YSM cream foundation was the only choice for my engagement photographs.
What I love about this product:
  • It is creamy and smooth.
  • It glides on nicely over other products, and it will not get clumpy.
  • It lasts all day if you need it to.
  • Inglot YSM foundation comes in a 30 ml bottle and will last a while.
  • This cream foundation is totally affordable and will not break the bank.
  • They have fantastic customer service and a lit Instagram.
  • Tons of shades to choose from!
The best way to use this product is by cleaning your skin, using your concealer, and then applying it with a wet beauty blender or spray some setting spray on your brush to blend it in. There is no going wrong with this technique, and this formula is a must-try.
The best way to order from Inglot is by going to their website. They have speedy shipping and a lot of products to choose from. Or you can click this linkfor easy two day shipping.

SuperStay foundation - Is it really?
SuperStay foundation - Is it really?
MAYBELLINE - SuperStay 24H Full Coverage Liquid Foundation I have to say this is my first drugstore foundation. Not that I am a fan of luxury brand. I found most drugstore foundations dont have many shades that fits me well. I am really caus First thing first, I want to give this foundation a big thumb up. A drugstore foundation with a pump. I like the glass bottle as well. I used to be a big fan of Double Wear from Estee Lauder. It is a good foundation especially for combination whether dry or oily. However, I really have the design where is just a plain glass bottle. It is getting everywhere. This is also said to be a full-coverage foundation. The reason I try this brand is what it is stated “superstar”. I am a combination dry. I found many foundations oxidizes fast on me. Many foundations look good in the first few hours after application. And in the afternoon, my face look dull and cloudy which I really hate. I am always looking for a foundation that stays long till the end of the day. A lot of foundations cake on me especially around my nose. This foundations nails it! I normally wear make up 8 hours during work days and it keeps my face glow till the end of the day. It looks good with just one layer. My face looks very natural and I don’t feel like it emphasizes my pores as much. If I want more coverage for darks circles I would go with a second layer. I’ve read a lot of reviews online as well. Personally, I would give it a 5 star. As a drugstore foundation, it really fulfills all my needs. It spreads out easily and blends out nice whether with bare hand or sponge. Be aware that if you are using a brush and working with matte finish foundations like this, you gonna blend super fast before it dries. This foundation is not super matte, it is more of a soft matte finish. When it dries down, it is not as liquid as before. It feels more like a mousse texture. It covers the pores around my T-area completely and my skin looks smooth and healthy. And the coverage is really good for that fact I can rarely see my freckles where I have most pigmentation on my skin. A little touch of this goes a long way. As a soft matte, full coverage foundation, it is not caky at all. It looks so smooth and natural. This foundation to be honest has totally changed my mind of drugstore foundations ( or maybe it just Maybelline is doing a fantastic job). Big thumb up and highly recommended you girls to give it a try!
reishi + ashwagandha: the incredible duo
reishi + ashwagandha: the incredible duo
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi A hydrating moisturizer with squalane, ashwagandha, and fermented reishi mushrooms. Squalane helps boost hydration because it mimics the squalene in your skin already, and aids in minimizing clogged pores. Ashwagandha reduces visible signs of fatigue. And reishi mushrooms hydrate and detoxify! This moisturizer is intensely hydrating - it’s so rich and hydrates deep. I use it at night in my pm routines after serums and before my oil. It’s great for fall/winter, and might be to much for some people in summer. I have normal to combo skin, sensitive acne prone, and also rosacea. It’s soothing and calms my skin from allergic reactions, acne redness, and maskne. A little goes a long way and despite its richness, it sinks in almost immediately and doesn’t take much rubbing in to get it to melt in. Full size is $58 YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha This mist was very overhyped on Instagram, and I was hesitant to try it. I lucked out and found it in this mini set, at $24 for both of these. It’s unfortunately, very worth the money! The mist is super fine, sprays evenly and so gently, and feels amazing on. Sometimes I leave it in the fridge for added cooling! This can be used as a toner, between any steps of your routine, or as a refresher throughout the day! My favorite way to use it is when I get home from work and I feel icky and tired and my face is sore from the mask. This also contains ashwagandha, which is an adaptogen that contains a bunch of antioxidants, iron and amino acids, and reishi, which is a mushroom that combats prematurely aging skin. It also contains peptides, which calm skin and aid in soothing sensitive skin. This comforts my irritated skin, from either acne/maskne, or just from wearing a mask all day. $42 for full size I suggest picking up minis of this duo because a lot of people are allergic to the mushrooms in it! Some people can eat mushrooms and be fine, but topically their skins says ✖️ no ✖️ Something else I want to mention is that YTTP’s little slogan is “skincare for all,” which I’ve always been a fan of - until recently. I realized that because of the high prices of their products, it’s not really skincare for “all,” but instead for people who can afford it. Purchasing full sizes of YTTP is definitely a splurge for me - I freelance full time and am partially unemployed because of COVID - and I know a lot of people are probably in the same boat.
DIY Microblading? 🤔 🖋
DIY Microblading? 🤔 🖋
Hey Cherie beauties! I finally got Benefit’s new brow microfilling pen! This has been sold out for the longest time and once I saw it finally available on Sephora, I added to my cart right away. I got my brows microbladed 2 years ago and it’s honestly so life changing! It was worth every penny I spent on it and worth the pain. My brows never looked this good. I was supposed to get an annual touch up this year, but shelter in place hit and my brow artist isn’t taking any appointments and I don’t know when I will get my touch up, but I don’t think it’s any time soon. When Benefit announced this, I was over the moon about it because I can see that my brows are fading a bit. This would be a good product to use until I can get a touch up. I got the shade in dark brown which is the darkest shade and I’m glad I got the it. This may be the dark shade, but I could use a deeper shade. If you’re on a fence which shade to get I would definitely go with the darker shade. This is a subtle change, but makes my brows look fuller. It still looks natural. The applicator is easy to use and you can easily control how subtle or dramatic your brows you want to look. I did a light resistance training sesh last night and this stayed. However, I used a brow gel so I’m not sure if that changes things. My only complaint is it takes some time getting used to so practice makes perfect. Overall I am very happy with this product! It’s such a game changer. You can now get temporary microbladed brows without committing to the actual tattoo. Benefit slayed it again! 😍😍😍 What is your HG brow product? Would you consider getting this? Let me know in the comments down below.
Will Salicylic Acid Clear Your Skin?
Will Salicylic Acid Clear Your Skin?
The short answer is maybe. Here's the long answer. First, let's find out what salicylic acid is. Salicylic acid is a lipid soluble beta hydroxy acid which has comedolytic (inhibits formation of comedones) and desmolytic (breaks the junctions between corneocyte cells in the stratum corneum) properties. How does it work? The molecular structure of salicylic acid is what makes it lipid soluble, allowing it to penetrate the lipid layers between skin cells and dissolve debris in pores. This is how it's able to prevent the formation of comedones (blackheads and whitehead). Furthermore, salicylic acid breaks down the "glue" that holds corneocyte cells together, resulting in the softening and sloughing off of the very top layer of skin cells from the top layer of skin known as the stratum corneum. This is known as exfoliation. Exfoliation helps prevents accumulation of dead skin cells, sebum, makeup, etc. In plain English, it gets down deep into your skin, clears out your pores, and keeps all that gunk from getting back into you pores by not allowing it to build up on your skin. So to answer the title question, if blackheads and whiteheads are an issue for you, yes, salicylic acid may be a great ingredient to incorporate into your skincare routine. NOW, HERE'S THE CATCH. Salicylic acid can absolutely help you on your way to clear skin, BUT you need to use it properly, patiently, and persistently. How to use it: READ AND FOLLOW PRODUCT DIRECTIONS first and foremost to make sure you are properly using each product. Also, consider patch testing the product before putting it on the affected are. If using in wash form, it may help to leave it on your skin for a couple minutes to let the salicylic acid be in contact with your skin longer, then wash off completely. If using in a spot treatment, tread lightly until you know how your skin will react. you also definitely need to makes sure you keep your skin moisturized as salicylic acid can be very drying. And as always, use sunscreen every day. Failure to properly use products containing salicylic acid may result in skin injury!!! How long to use it: Providing it's well tolerated, it's important to give salicylic acid time to work. Trying a product for a week and giving up is common, but salicylic acid can take up to 6 weeks to give you the full result. 6 WEEKS. So if you find a product that you tolerate well, give it time, sis. Be patient. For best results be persistent, trust the process, and don't get discouraged. Taking a "before" picture will help you monitor your progress. Look out for: -allergic reaction -tingling -itching -peeling *make sure to talk to your doctor before using salicylic acid during pregnancy Lastly, the product pictured is Zapzyt, my all time favorite salicylic acid acne wash. It's fragrance free and very gentle on my sensitive skin. You can expect to pay no more than $10 USD and it lasts for months. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk 📢😂 and happy skincare hunting!
