How to Beat Pandemic Eyes 👀

If you’re like me, your schedule has been thrown into disarray with the pandemic. Between the change in sleep schedules, staying up too late on our phones endlessly scrolling trying to connect with the outside world, and not knowing from day to day when (and if) things will go back to normal, it’s no wonder that we’re experiencing more stress than ever. The worst part? It’s showing in our eyes!
When you’ve got a face mask on, you can’t help but be drawn to the eyes when you look in the mirror. Unfortunately, one of the first things you’re going to notice is the under-eye circles.
Some of us are going to suffer from under-eye circles regardless due to genetics, while others may only notice them every now and then depending on outside factors. Whatever the reason may be, there are things we can do to help reduce the severity.
The main thing is staying on top of our stress levels. This may seem like a tall order, but with a few adjustments to your day you can get ahead of your under-eye woes before they get out of hand.
Make sure to hydrate. Drinking water helps both the body and mind for so many reasons, one of which is keeping the skin hydrated and plump, reducing under-eye circles.
Get enough sleep. When we don’t sleep enough it shows. Have you ever noticed the difference in your face in the morning after sleeping 6-8 hours versus less than six?
What products should you try?
Use a product with hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural humectant that retains moisture which plumps the skin. It’s one of my favorite skincare ingredients as it’s safe for sensitive skin and won’t cause any irritation around the eye area.
If you haven't tried one already, a hyaluronic acid serum is a great choice to add to your skincare regimen! Apply the serum all over making sure to dot some around your eyes before your moisturizer. You can do this morning and night.
You can also try a hyaluronic acid moisturizer or eye cream to dot around the eye area as well. My favorite is Clinique’s Moisture Surge.
Use a concealer. You can use any concealer by dotting it under your eyes. Start off small, as too much will cake and while it may cover the dark circles, your skin will end up looking dry and wrinkly. I always like to dust some translucent powder over the concealer to keep it from creasing.
If you’re going for full makeup coverage you can also try a color-correcting concealer in green before applying your foundation to your skin. Green will cancel out the purple tones of under-eye bags. Be careful not to use too much!

Wednesday Wellness 🙏🏾
Wednesday Wellness 🙏🏾
This past week has been rather hard and long for me. I ultimately decided to get back on track with my wellness plan. My main wellness goal for 2021, is to indulge in myself more. I definitely am a firm believe in “as within, so without”. I started my day with: #Four Sigmatic - Mushroom Elixir Mix with Chaga[products]#[FiveStars] I have been getting back into adaptogen and herbal medicine. What we put into our bodies is just as important as what goes on the outside. Adaptogens are apart of ancient medicinal traditions traced all over the world. I also drink Tulsi “Holy Basil” Tea. If you need a pick me up or emotional boost I highly recommend! SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil is my treatment of choice I used during the day. Do not be afraid to use salicylic acid during the day. I applied plenty of sunscreen afterwards as well! This is a GODSEND for clearing up acne and acne scarring. It’s by far the best acne treatment I’ve tried and its mostly due to the immediate results I get. This is a dry oil, so it should be used before a heavy moisturizer or sunscreen. THE BODY SHOP - Spa of the World Thai Makrut Lime Firming Oil is a staple in my night time routine. When I want to relax and really unwind I use a body roller with this oil. It smells like a fresh key lime pie and it’s so hydrating. This is great for firming, especially when paired with a body tool. What do you do for wellness?
My Farewell To Cherie
My Farewell To Cherie
Follow me on Ig for more skincare since Cherie is leaving 😭 @naturedskinv This has been an amazing journey and I’ve made soo many amazing friends. Thank you for all the love, conversations, and just overall happiness I’ve experienced on this app. I’m definitely sad, a little upset, and a dash of confused, but thank you @cheriefor giving me such an amazing confidence boost and guidance. The way the app shaped my thoughts on skincare has been insane. I’m still willing to forget this and call it a joke if y’all are! 😭 Anyways thank you again and hopefully we can stay in touch 🙏🏾

I won this cute little kit in a raffle & I couldn’t be more thankful! I have always wanted to try these products but never wanted to spend the money on all of them incase I didn’t like them! Inside this kit are the following products: DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 That’s literally a whole skincare routine! So far I started out my day with one of Drunk Elephants infamous “Face Smoothies” I washed my face with Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser & then combined C-Firma Day Serum, Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil, & Protini Polypeptide Cream together on my mixing trey with a disposable skincare spatula! I applied it all over my face & neck. Once that absorbed, I applied Umbra Tinte Daily Defense SPF 30 over my face & neck & was done! I love how the kit comes with steps to walk you through different routines you can use in the morning or at night! I will do a follow up review after I have used all the products for a few weeks! But so far, my skin feels & looks great! I have been breaking out lately & haven’t felt the best about my skin so I really needed this pick me up!! Thank you for reading! You guys are the best!! ❤️ @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick
Double Your Lash Length With Sky High Mascara!
Double Your Lash Length With Sky High Mascara!
I bought this mascara after seeing a post about it on Facebook. I love trying out new mascaras but rarely do I find one that I will use regularly like my beloved tarte - Maneater Mascara However this stuff is good. MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara It gave my lashes so much volume & length they literally doubled in size! My lashes are already pretty long to begin with but this made them look amazing. The photo is after applying only one coat so I can only imagine how good they will look after two or three coats! It also didn’t clump up my lashes at all. I applied it really quickly & lazily too because I was in a rush to get ready & I was still amazed! I honestly think this is going to be my new daily mascara. It is waterproof but not the annoying kind that leaves your eyes completely black when you go to take it off. It came off really easily with my POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream which is what I’ve always used to remove my eye makeup, since I was a kid! @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick
