At first reading the words “slimy”, “snail” and “mucin” may not sound too appealing when thinking of products to add to your skincare routine. However, have you researched the benefits of snail mucin for the skin? Here’s a few: ✨ Allantoin - a skin conditioning and protecting agent that is reported to have keratolytic, hydrating, epithelializing, and anti-irritant activities ✨ Glycolic Acid - an AHA that acts as a chemical exfoliant to remove dead skin cells, boost collagen production and reduce premature aging ✨ Hyaluronic Acid - used to bind water to the skin and prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL) ✨ Naturally Antibacterial - to prevent and destroy the growth of bacteria It doesn’t sound as gross now, right? 🌚 With 96% snail mucin in this 100ml essence, it certainly packs a delicate punch of skin benefits. Price? The price overall isn’t too bad considering you really only need two little pumps of this essence to cover your entire face. I got it off of Amazon for about $19 USD. Recommended For? I would recommend this for all skin types. I have dehydrated, sensitive, acne-prone / oily skin and my husband has dry acne-prone skin and we both absolutely adore this essence. It leaves our faces feeling SO hydrated and calm. ✨✨🐌 Texture? 😂 it is SLIMY, as expected, however it glides effortlessly on the skin and absorbs pretty quickly. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky or slimy either, just hydrated and nice ✨ How to use it? I like to use this after my toner, to give my skin a boost of hydration and prep for serums. I use only two small pumps and it covers my face entirely. ✨ Do I Like it? To say that I like it would be an understatement 💙 I love how it makes my skin feel, my skin feels hydrated, plump and soft after using it and it hasn’t caused any breakouts, in fact it helps keep my skin calm ✨ Overall Thoughts? Overall I think this essence is a fantastic addition to a routine, AM and PM. Its hydrating, calming and provides many benefits for the skin. The price point isn’t cheap, at least to me, but considering how long it will last with only two pumps per use, I think the price is fair. COSRX is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands and may even take over my routine 🌝 What do you think? Are you willing to put snail slime on your face? 🌚🐌🌝

I always maintain a similar nighttime routine but find I like changing through products, such as a different AHA toner, a different face cream, a different eye cream, or a different face wash. However, the foundation of it remains the same: cleanse, tone, hydrate. I usually go for a more hydrating routine for both the AM and PM. Tonight I used products that I love and that I know suit my skin type: (mostly) normal. 1). I started with the #MARCELLE - Micellar Water[products]#[FiveStars] (light blue bottle for waterproof makeup) to remove my waterproof mascara. I have yet to find a better micellar water. It’s so effective yet so gentle. If you can suggest one that does a great job with waterproof mascara please let me know :) 2). I cleansed my face with the #Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel[products]#[FiveStars] It’s soap free me doesn’t dry out my skin and makes me feel so clean and refreshed. 3). My new favourite toner: it’s so gentle yet so effective at removing excess dirt, makeup, balancing my skin’s pH, etc. #PESTLE & MORTAR - Exfoliate Glycolic Acid Toner 180ml[products]#[FiveStars] 4). I always add in hydration when I can and this product is perfect for that (and pre-serums!) #NIOD - Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist[products]#[FiveStars] Think toner/meets essence/meets serums/meets bye bye oxidative stress and hello hydration! Lol. I feel it boosts the effectiveness of my skincare products. 5). I keep my face damp from the SDSM mist and then apply my #PESTLE & MORTAR - Pure Hyaluronic Serum [products]#[FiveStars] This is sooooo beautiful and hydrating. I love it beyond words! Haha. 6). I then apply#BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream[products]#[FiveStars] I’m obsessed with this eye cream. It’s so hydrating but light. It doesn’t make my under-eyes feel greasy. It’s my go-to for the day and to wear under makeup. 7). Last but not least, I love a super hydrating face cream for the night. This one is hydrating but not heavy or greasy, which is perfect for me #YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi[products]#[FiveStars] ❤️🤍

✨your follows and cheers mean so much 💛✨ So if you saw my review from a few days ago, you already know that I was not so stoked on this face oil. I found it caused irritation and redness on my face which was a total bummer because I really wanted to like this product. That being said, it was a little pricey so I wanted to find other ways to use it and not let it just go to waste. Personally I’ve been using it as a cuticle oil, and have been really happy with the hydration I’m getting around my nails and am happy that I’m getting my money’s worth! Do you have a face oil that didn’t really do it for you ? Here are a couple different ways you can repurpose your product 💛 ✨ Put a few drops in your body lotion - adding a couple drops will make your lotion go on smoother and pump up the hydration factor ✨ Add a small amount to dry, split ends - give your ends a little TLC, or tame flyaways with a couple drops of oil. ✨Use it as a cuticle oil apply a small drop on each of your cuticles, rub it in then follow up with moisturizer for silky smooth hands If the product doesn’t irritate your face, but you’ve got a couple bottles on the go maybe try ✨ Using it to remove makeup - oil helps lifts makeup, but be careful not to get it in your eyes .. also be careful around your eyes if your oil is heavily fragranced. ✨ Add a drop or two to your foundation -adding face oil to your foundation and letting it absorb into the skin will act as primer and give you a hydrated glow 💛 I would love to hear if you have any other face oil hacks💛@caitlynmarie
So you might’ve heard of the new kid on the block people have been raving about, The Ordinary’s Aloha Arbutin 2% + HA. I honestly love how The Ordinary just chucks hyaluronic acid into so many formulas 🙌🏽 This product is great for alllll skin types. Alpha Arbutin reduces the looks of spots and hyperpigmentation. It's used at a high two percent concentration versus a standard concentration of one percent and supported with a form of hyaluronic acid for enhanced delivery. What a lot of people don’t mention is that this also contains lactic acid at a low amount to lightly dissolve dead skin and further assist in reducing dark spots. Overall this product didn’t break me out and worked well, but I definitely prefer to stick to using my retinoid instead for my oily and acne-prone skin! Btw I have a seperate post on my holy grail retinoid which you’ve probably never seen before! Check it out Pic by @skinpatrol_ on Instagram@cdragoskin
Hi my beauties😇 Today we are going to talk about.. 🌱SNP PREP KOREA🌱 (S)cience, (N)ature and (P)urity. SNP recently sent me their Cicaronic Skin Care Set so I wanted to make a quick review. ————————————— I struggle with sensitive/acne-prone/combo to dry skin (annoying, I know) but lately I am LOVING the ingredient Centella Asiatica Extract, which is the main ingredient used in this collection. This works fantastic for my skin. It calms down the redness caused by my acne tremendously and makes my overall complexion look so much better. 1. Cicaronic SOS 7-Day Ampoule: This is AMAZING, I honestly fell in love after the first use. It’s so lightweight BUT still SO hydrating. I put this on right before my COSRX moisturizer and loved the way it feels. It’s not irritating at all, and made my skin look and feel more plump. BUT fragrance is listed pretty high on the ingredient list. I don’t particularly mind fragrance but as long as it’s one of the last few on the list. I used about 5 ampoules already and since I only have 2 more left I will finish it. 2. Cicaronic Soothing Cream: I enjoyed this cream but I did not use it to much only because I am stuck on my COSRX moisturizer at the moment. I did like the way it felt on my skin, it’s a lovely texture and left my skin feeling super hydrated throughout the day. I also love that it contains Jojoba oil. But I will not continue use because fragrance is also listed high on the ingredient list and I can only handle using so much fragrance on my face at once. 3. Cicaronic Toning Essence: I only used this once or twice. This saddens me now at this point not because it didn’t work well but just like every other product, fragrance is high on the list. Like I said I don’t mind fragrance but not too much fragrance. Regardless of the ampoules containing a lot of fragrance, I am impressed with how it made my skin look and feel after each use. If I ever intend to re-purchase, it would be the ampoules only. I also received the Cicaronic Daily Mask. I have not used it yet but will try soon. *PR Sample but opinion always my own@eupho_glow
Hey guys! You might have heard about the two finger rule floating around the internet, but is it something you’re implementing in your routine? Two full fingers of sunscreen is a good way to eyeball the recommended amount of product for your face and neck. This gives you adequate coverage for a full two hours after application. It can seem like nuisance to reapply, but I guarantee after two weeks you’ll see and feel the difference. As a person with a tan complexion I was SURE two whole fingers of sunscreen would leave me looking like a ghost! But i wanted to demonstrate that it’s not as excessive as it might seem. I was able to rub it in, fall on my butt, and prove my point in less than a minute ! Sunscreen is finally getting the respect she deserves in the skincare community, and making sure we’re putting on enough (and reapplying) is essential. Let’s make sure us cherie cuties are doing our best and setting the example for proper sun care!

DIY Microblading? 🤔 🖋
Hey Cherie beauties! I finally got Benefit’s new brow microfilling pen! This has been sold out for the longest time and once I saw it finally available on Sephora, I added to my cart right away. I got my brows microbladed 2 years ago and it’s honestly so life changing! It was worth every penny I spent on it and worth the pain. My brows never looked this good. I was supposed to get an annual touch up this year, but shelter in place hit and my brow artist isn’t taking any appointments and I don’t know when I will get my touch up, but I don’t think it’s any time soon. When Benefit announced this, I was over the moon about it because I can see that my brows are fading a bit. This would be a good product to use until I can get a touch up. I got the shade in dark brown which is the darkest shade and I’m glad I got the it. This may be the dark shade, but I could use a deeper shade. If you’re on a fence which shade to get I would definitely go with the darker shade. This is a subtle change, but makes my brows look fuller. It still looks natural. The applicator is easy to use and you can easily control how subtle or dramatic your brows you want to look. I did a light resistance training sesh last night and this stayed. However, I used a brow gel so I’m not sure if that changes things. My only complaint is it takes some time getting used to so practice makes perfect. Overall I am very happy with this product! It’s such a game changer. You can now get temporary microbladed brows without committing to the actual tattoo. Benefit slayed it again! 😍😍😍 What is your HG brow product? Would you consider getting this? Let me know in the comments down below.

CHERIE MADE ME DO IT 🍒
Everyday, I sit scrolling through Cherie, and I see all of you posting about The Ordinary’s Salicylic Acid 2% Mask and how it compares to their Salicylic Acid Solution. I hadn’t tried either of these products, but after the 1000th post, I decided I had to try out the Salicylic Acid Mask. WHAT IS SALICYLIC ACID? 💧 Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxide Acid (BHAs). It’s used for reducing acne by diving deep into your skin, exfoliating it, and keeping your pores nice and clear. In other words... it’s a game changer for blackheads and whiteheads especially. THE PRODUCT:🧴 The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque The Ordinary’s Salicylic Acid 2% Mask is used to target tone and textural irregularities. The mask is infused with charcoal and clays which really help do the job of deep cleansing. It’s a rinse-off formula and is quite thick and grainy in texture. HOW I USE THE PRODUCT: 👸🏻 I follow the instructions on the back of the bottle quite strictly... I apply the mask once a week to cleansed skin and leave it on for no longer than 10 minutes. I then rinse it off with warm water, and apply a moisturizer. I usually do this in the evenings whilst doing my weekly pamper routine. MY THOUGHTS ON THE PRODUCT: 💭 I can definitely see some minor changes in the texture of my skin however, I don’t think it’s necessarily helped my acne issues or blackheads. I haven’t been using the mask for very long but I’m excited to see whether my skin will change even more as I continue to use this mask. Thank you to all the Cherie users for making me do it! Lots of love! 💛 Paula x
SuperStay foundation - Is it really?
MAYBELLINE - SuperStay 24H Full Coverage Liquid Foundation I have to say this is my first drugstore foundation. Not that I am a fan of luxury brand. I found most drugstore foundations dont have many shades that fits me well. I am really caus First thing first, I want to give this foundation a big thumb up. A drugstore foundation with a pump. I like the glass bottle as well. I used to be a big fan of Double Wear from Estee Lauder. It is a good foundation especially for combination whether dry or oily. However, I really have the design where is just a plain glass bottle. It is getting everywhere. This is also said to be a full-coverage foundation. The reason I try this brand is what it is stated “superstar”. I am a combination dry. I found many foundations oxidizes fast on me. Many foundations look good in the first few hours after application. And in the afternoon, my face look dull and cloudy which I really hate. I am always looking for a foundation that stays long till the end of the day. A lot of foundations cake on me especially around my nose. This foundations nails it! I normally wear make up 8 hours during work days and it keeps my face glow till the end of the day. It looks good with just one layer. My face looks very natural and I don’t feel like it emphasizes my pores as much. If I want more coverage for darks circles I would go with a second layer. I’ve read a lot of reviews online as well. Personally, I would give it a 5 star. As a drugstore foundation, it really fulfills all my needs. It spreads out easily and blends out nice whether with bare hand or sponge. Be aware that if you are using a brush and working with matte finish foundations like this, you gonna blend super fast before it dries. This foundation is not super matte, it is more of a soft matte finish. When it dries down, it is not as liquid as before. It feels more like a mousse texture. It covers the pores around my T-area completely and my skin looks smooth and healthy. And the coverage is really good for that fact I can rarely see my freckles where I have most pigmentation on my skin. A little touch of this goes a long way. As a soft matte, full coverage foundation, it is not caky at all. It looks so smooth and natural. This foundation to be honest has totally changed my mind of drugstore foundations ( or maybe it just Maybelline is doing a fantastic job). Big thumb up and highly recommended you girls to give it a try!
Will Salicylic Acid Clear Your Skin?
The short answer is maybe. Here's the long answer. First, let's find out what salicylic acid is. Salicylic acid is a lipid soluble beta hydroxy acid which has comedolytic (inhibits formation of comedones) and desmolytic (breaks the junctions between corneocyte cells in the stratum corneum) properties. How does it work? The molecular structure of salicylic acid is what makes it lipid soluble, allowing it to penetrate the lipid layers between skin cells and dissolve debris in pores. This is how it's able to prevent the formation of comedones (blackheads and whitehead). Furthermore, salicylic acid breaks down the "glue" that holds corneocyte cells together, resulting in the softening and sloughing off of the very top layer of skin cells from the top layer of skin known as the stratum corneum. This is known as exfoliation. Exfoliation helps prevents accumulation of dead skin cells, sebum, makeup, etc. In plain English, it gets down deep into your skin, clears out your pores, and keeps all that gunk from getting back into you pores by not allowing it to build up on your skin. So to answer the title question, if blackheads and whiteheads are an issue for you, yes, salicylic acid may be a great ingredient to incorporate into your skincare routine. NOW, HERE'S THE CATCH. Salicylic acid can absolutely help you on your way to clear skin, BUT you need to use it properly, patiently, and persistently. How to use it: READ AND FOLLOW PRODUCT DIRECTIONS first and foremost to make sure you are properly using each product. Also, consider patch testing the product before putting it on the affected are. If using in wash form, it may help to leave it on your skin for a couple minutes to let the salicylic acid be in contact with your skin longer, then wash off completely. If using in a spot treatment, tread lightly until you know how your skin will react. you also definitely need to makes sure you keep your skin moisturized as salicylic acid can be very drying. And as always, use sunscreen every day. Failure to properly use products containing salicylic acid may result in skin injury!!! How long to use it: Providing it's well tolerated, it's important to give salicylic acid time to work. Trying a product for a week and giving up is common, but salicylic acid can take up to 6 weeks to give you the full result. 6 WEEKS. So if you find a product that you tolerate well, give it time, sis. Be patient. For best results be persistent, trust the process, and don't get discouraged. Taking a "before" picture will help you monitor your progress. Look out for: -allergic reaction -tingling -itching -peeling *make sure to talk to your doctor before using salicylic acid during pregnancy Lastly, the product pictured is Zapzyt, my all time favorite salicylic acid acne wash. It's fragrance free and very gentle on my sensitive skin. You can expect to pay no more than $10 USD and it lasts for months. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk 📢😂 and happy skincare hunting!
