Trust us, you’ll want to try them all.Air BrushA style synonymous with street style of the ‘80s & ‘90s, airbrushing is not new to the fashion world. It is still alive and well in the nail world though—and as cute as ever. We love this trend for many reasons, but the soft, pastel colors coupled with pretty stars and hearts are what really do it for us. It’s edgy, girly, and a great nod to street style

AbstractNail imitates art, or however that quote goes… Because mini Picasso-like paintings on your nails?! Cute AF. This trend has really taken off this summer, and it’s so pretty and versatile, that we don’t see it leaving anytime soon. The great thing about this one is that it’s open to interpretation—the more unexpected color combos and lines, the more abstract and artistic they look. Each nail can be different from the next or follow a specific theme.

TerrazzoMost commonly known as a mid-century tile style found in commercial spaces, terrazzo is now being reimagined in nail form with cute, muted shades and bright, colorful speckles. The great thing about this style is that it’s very hard to mess up—the imperfections and random placements of the speckles are what make it look so good.

EncapsulatedSo, this might be the coolest trend, ever. Real flowers. Encapsulated in your nail. How sweet is that?! It’s definitely for the more adventurous nail-lover, but once you commit to the style, you’ll start thinking of all the cool things you’ll want to encapsulate. The technique is advanced and sandwiches flowers and embellishments between layers of gel or acrylic.

Twist on the French TipIf there’s one thing we know about nail art, it’s that a French tip will always be THAT girl. The mani style is an undeniable classic among nail aficionados for her light-colored, barely-there base. She’s versatile and looks classy and sweet with pretty much any look, so we’re loving that manicurists have been switching things up a bit and pairing her with cool, unexpected tip combos.

My new fave foundation for a FLAWLESS base 🌱
My new fave foundation for a FLAWLESS base 🌱
One thing about my no makeup makeup, is it all depending on a good foundation to keep my look cute and ~simple~ I was gifted this Orcé discovery foundation set to try and I am absolutely thrilled to share a review about it. 💫What’s special about this foundation? This brand was specifically designed for Asian people/those with golden undertones. No I am not Asian, but I always mix my foundations to compliment my warm tone, and bring some glow into my face. So if you are in the same boat, definitely try out one of the discovery sets to find you perfect shade! For me, 05 was a great match on my face. What I love about this foundation: ⭐️ It gives you a healthy matte look, sometimes matte foundation make you look caked even without powder, this one give you a subtle glow but cuts down on the shine. ⭐️ It is veryyyy blendable! My skin color changes with the season a few shades either direction, and because this foundation is so blendable, you can easily mix in some concealer, bronzer, darker or lighter foundation..etc and it looks seamless! ⭐️ It is FULL coverage. Acne scars? Never heard of them. This is a full coverage foundation while not being too thick or heavy on top of your skin, it covers a good amount of blemishes and the lighter shades made for a good concealer. - Overall I would give this foundation a 4/5 because it gives you a great base canvas and felt like luxury in a bottle. One star off because It is v pricey, and I wouldn’t personally wear it daily, but for special occasions or a full face. Another pain point is there is currently a very limited shade selection. It is a small company that doesn’t have the backing to do big shade ranges yet, but they have assured they will be expanding to be more inclusive as soon as possible!
Natural Looking Concealer Application Tips & Tricks
Natural Looking Concealer Application Tips & Tricks
The best concealer application makes you look awake, brightened up, and doesn’t age you by settling into your creases! Since I truly believe the magic is in the application, the concealer you have is probably just fine. That said, I really love the Kosas Revealer Concealer because is nourishing to the under eyes and the formula dries down nicely while still looking like skin! Kosas products are formulated without fragrance, talc, parabens, and dimethicone/cyclic silicon’s just to name a few. They are also cruelty-free. My skin tone is fair, and my skin type is normal to dry. I like to use my concealer for the occasional blemish and to brighten up my under eyes but the tips below are still applicable for wherever you might apply your concealer. For flawless concealer application: 1.     Don’t apply too much product. I try not to apply the product directly to my face but instead to the back of my hand. 2.     You could use your finger to tap a teeny bit of the product on the desired areas but using a Real Techniques beauty sponge to thin the product out on the back of my hand first (by blotting), then apply to the face delivers best results and is much faster. 3.     Avoid applying directly under your eyes, smile lines, forehead wrinkles, etc. If you MUST have concealer on one of these “creasy” spots, go light. 4.     Set it! Use a good setting powder to set immediately. For those areas like under my eyes where I want to conceal (even knowing I have wrinkles there) I use a setting powder to avoid creasing. I love the Aisling Organic Rice Setting Powder. Since its translucent it will work on most skin tones. It goes on light and I love the blurring properties it has.
Changing Up My Skincare Routine for Fall
Changing Up My Skincare Routine for Fall
About my skin: dryyyyy, often flaky near/on nose and forehead, not usually sensitive Summer is coming to an end on 9/21, so I’ll be making some changes to my summer skincare routine. I have dry skin year-round and battled stubborn dry patches a few times during the summer. My fall skincare incorporates more moisture and hydration, but not quite as heavy as I’ll need for winter. Moisturizer: Out: GHOST DEMOCRACY - Clean Lightweight Daily Face Moisturizer This is actually almost empty so I’ll finish it off. Lightweight and unscented, but still moisturizing enough for my dry skin in summer. Won’t cut it for colder months, but will repurchase in springtime. Gifted by the brand. In: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi Expensive, but really nice. On the thicker side, but not too heavy for AM & PM use. My cap cracked so ignore the tape haha. Cherie sent me this (ty!) Toner: Out: PURITO - Centella Unscented Toner Great for combo & sensitive skin, but works fine for dry in summer. Watery texture and not particularly hydrating, but is soothing. PR from the brand. In: PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist Advanced Replenshing Toner So hydrating!! Has a milky texture. Definitely adds a boost to my skin. Fall & winter staple (and probably spring). Essence: I’m not currently using one, but in spring and winter I used the SATURDAY SKIN - Press Pause Beauty Essence and will use it again this fall. It feels more like a serum vs an essence (see texture photo). Feels so silky on my skin! I also purchased one from Cocokind but haven’t opened it yet, so stay tuned. Exfoliants: Out: OFRA - Fruit Acid Lotion Tbh I don’t like this. It smells so strongly of chemicals. It has citrus, lactic, and glycolic acids. It is a toner, not a lotion like the name implies. It does exfoliate okay but really hate the smell. Gifted by brand via Octoly. In: FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum This is an awesome exfoliant for dry skin because it contains honey. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling overly exfoliated. I only use 1-2x/wk in colder months. Expensive but lasts a long time. Mine’s about 2/3 empty. Face Oil: Out: GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil I’ve loved this for a while. It’s lightweight and nourishing. I used it a lot in summer when I had dry spots. In: cocokind - Watermelon Hemp Oil This is more heavy duty. It does smell herbaceous but it dissipates. Deeply nourishing and multipurpose (like on hands!). PR from the brand. Face Mist: I use the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha whenever I need a hydration boost. I’ll be using this a lot in fall. 1/2 empty! It’s overpriced but nice. Anyone have a good suggestion for a hydrating cleanser?! Let me know. #CheriePartner
My most loved Face Oil🌹
My most loved Face Oil🌹
Known as the "Queen of essential oils", Rose essential oils can solve many skin problems. Here are some simple usages The rose massage oil has the function of soft skin, moisturizing and anti-wrinkle. It can effectively regulate the skin for aging and dry skin and make the skin metabolism and activation. Skin care products containing rose essential oil are purported to hydrate dry skin, clear acne, reduce signs of aging, minimize the appearance of scars, and help with conditions such as eczema and rosacea. I am a big fan of face oil. As a combination dry, these essential oils. These three are my favorite, Today I want to share my most loved rose oil.clé de peau BEAUTÉ - Radiant Multi Repair Oil RADIANT MULTI REPAIR OIL from Clea de peau beauty is a multi-purpose face oil that leaves skin enchantingly dewy, visibly plump and firm. I have loved using this oil on my face and neck when my skin feels particularly dry. I really like the texture. Uniquely lightweight, non-sticky texture absorbs easily for a pleasurable smooth feel on skin My skin used to be very dry and I started using this repair oil with intensive fortifying cream and protective fortifying emulsion since about 3 months ago. I like to mix two to three drops of oil with the cream and apply over my face. Just a few drops go a really long way. I massage it into wet hair when I am planning to air dry and it makes my hair feel effortlessly moisturized. I also use it to tame frizz or flyaways when my hair is dry. It is totally decadent and worth it! Overall, this oil makes my skin look better-it dissolves into the skin so easily and does not leave an oily residue. If there was a larger version-spray perhaps-for the body I would buy more! And I do believe rose oil is perfect little addition to the skin care routine. It’s great for combination skin and helps keep skin tone smooth and glowing!
👄 I used Algenist Lip Collagen for 6 weeks 👄
👄 I used Algenist Lip Collagen for 6 weeks 👄
About Algenist: Launched March 2011 Co-founders, Harrison Dillon & Jonathan Wolfson weren’t intending to get into the beauty industry. Instead in 2004 they set out to create a renewable energy source from algae, in their Bay Area garage. After studying thousands of strains of microalgae, they unexpectedly discovered a protective, regenerating compound called Alguronic Acid. Algae expert & Stanford professor Arthur Grossman encouraged them to further research & investigate the application of Alguronic Acid into skincare development. Alguronic Acid protects algae from some of the harshest environments in the world & regenerates cells, allowing the algae to thrive. Algenist GENIUS Liquid Collagen® Lip $35/.34 oz THE CLAIMS: A vegan collagen moisturizing lip treatment that visibly restores lip fullness & contours, for youthful-looking lips in as few as 10 days. WHAT IS IT?: A dual phase lip treatment that suspends botanical lip enhancers & hundreds of beads of Microalgae Oil in collagen water. Formulated with plant collagen, & Algenist's patented Alguronic Acid®: naturally sourced & sustainably produced from algae. SPECIAL INGREDIENTS: Alguronic Acid® has been clinically proven to visibly minimize appearance of fine lines/wrinkles & boost benefits of other active ingredients. Exclusive Active Vegan Collagen™: A high-concentration vegan collagen that strengthens & conditions to improve texture. “Vegan” collagen is a new innovative technology created by binding corn, soy & wheat protein fibers resulting in vegan amino acids that structurally mimic & provide a similar function to animal-derived collagen. Microalgae Oil: To hydrate & support natural cell repair, rich in Omegas 3, 6, & 9. (the beads) ALGENIST - Genius Liquid Collagen Lip I should mention I was anti “lip-plumping” products for over 15 years due to a single bad experience with “Lip Venom” in high school that sent me running to the bathroom to hide for like 30 minutes until the insane swelling went down! even bad reactions with the beloved Dior Addict Lip Maximizer. I truly love my lips, but I’m 32, & worry about their natural fullness dissipating over time. I wanted to try this because it isn’t an instant thing. Application: I felt really stupid trying to dispense the product at first, it felt like I was breaking it lol. Hold the chrome area below the applicator with one hand, & twist the entire unit below it to the right. Texture: Feels like a very hydrating serum, slightly cooling. I love the ceramic applicator, it stays so cold! There’s a slightly odd taste to get used to. Results: Used 2x/day, sometimes more, as was directed. I took tons of photos with different angles, because I often see so many before/afters that are completely different angles & I feel like that’s not super helpful. So I even took the ugly straight on angle that I hate for you guys because I love y’all. I don’t think it’s done much, but it’s become my favorite lip treatment!
