Top 10 natural ways to regrow you hair

Aug. 31, 2020
If you’ve noticed your hair thinning recently, it’s time to learn about these natural ways to restore the lushness on your crown.
  • Geranium oil
  • You can use geranium oil in a really similar way to how you would use rosemary oil. Again, remember to use a carrier oil, and watch it strengthen and restore your hair.
  • Lemon juice or oil
  • These lemon products are rumoured to enhance hair growth and to improve your hair texture and strength. You can apply lemon juice and oil to your scalp and hair 15 minutes before you shampoo or create a hair mask by mixing it with a carrier oil, as you would do with rosemary oil.
  • Rosemary oil
  • Rosemary oil is a well-known essential oil that can stimulate the growth of new hair. It’s often used to treat male pattern baldness, also called androgenetic alopecia. Remember when using essential oils to always blend it into a carrier oil – do not apply it directly. Once you’ve mixed the rosemary oil with a carrier oil, simply massage evenly and vigorously onto your scalp and hair, and rinse off afterwards. You can do this as often as you like, but a few times per week is usually how much it needs to be done for effects to be seen. Another way to use it is to mix rosemary oil into your shampoo and conditioner.
  • Onion juice
  • You might want to reconsider if you’re about to head out for a date, but otherwise, onion juice has been shown in some studies to be an effective remedy for patchy hair loss (scientifically called alopecia areata), successfully promoting hair growth. Studies performed on animals also showed higher levels of keratin growth factor and improved blood circulation to the cuticles. Where can you buy onion juice? Well, turns out this is a DIY from home kind of treatment – stick a few onions in a blender and squeeze out the juice, and simply apply the juice to your scalp and hair for at least 15 minutes. Remember to wash your hair afterwards! Disclaimer: we’re not responsible for tears.
  • Ginseng
  • Ginsenosides, the name given to a family of active compounds found in ginseng, can help with hair restoration and growth. If it’s your first time taking this kind of supplement though, make sure you follow the manufacturer’s recommended use and to take note of possible side effects.
  • Fish oil
  • Going by the marine theme, you can also turn to something more ubiquitous – fish oil. The omega fatty acids found in fish oil and nourish your hair from within. The combo of nutrients and proteins can aid cellular function, boosting hair density and diameter. Plus, it can also boost your immunity to make you healthier. You can quite easily find fish oil at a pharmacy or at Wholefoods.
  • Viviscal
  • Viviscal comes in a pill, and consists of minerals, vitamins, and most importantly, shark and mollusk powder. The latter contains a marine complex called AminoMar C, which is known to promote hair growth by aiding cellular regeneration as well as strengthening existing hair cells. It does take a while though for effects to be observable – expect to take the pills twice daily for a period of six months or more.
  • Coconut oil
  • Whilst the effects of coconut oil on hair loss hasn’t been completely proven yet, what it can definitely do is add a healthy shine to your hair and remove that matte, lacklustre look from thinning hair. The fatty acids found in coconut oil can seep into your hair shaft to prevent the loss of protein, keeping your hair healthier and increasing your hair’s longevity. To use it, simply massage a bit of coconut oil into your scalp, making sure to cover all of your hair. If your hair is naturally dry, you can simply leave it after application, and use it as a leave-in treatment, if your hair’s on the oily side, then you may want to wash it a few hours after applying, or at most use it as a leave-in treatment overnight only.
  • Aloe Vera
  • Everyone knows aloe vera for its ability to treat sunburns and heal small skin wounds. But in fact, you can also get pure aloe vera gel that’s suitable for your hair. Simply apply it to your scalp a few times every week. It’s known to reduce dandruff, unblock hair follicles clogged by excess oil, sooth your scalp and condition your hair. Not a bad deal if you were just looking for a hair loss treatment to start with!
  • Massage
  • Yes, really. Massage isn’t just for the muscles, it’s also for the scalp! Massage has helped many restore hair growth, and many believe it’s the stimulation from stretching and pulling on your scalp that encourages your hair to grow, restoring its thickness in the dermal papilla cells. You can find a professional to do this, or even do this yourself – try doing this and apply hair oils and masks for the best effect.
While hair loss is annoying and may knock your confidence, remember to stay consistent and keep to a routine you’ve started. Don’t keep changing plans, as these products often take a good number of months before you’ll be able to see any visible effects.

The way the app shaped my thoughts on skincare has been insane. I’m still willing to forget this and call it a joke if y’all are! 😭 Anyways thank you again and hopefully we can stay in touch 🙏🏾
Okay guys as I have said before I am guilty of rarely ever wearing sunscreen. I just never liked the feel of it on my skin. I always felt like it made me greasy & clogged my pores. However, once I heard about this product I was very intrigued. NIOD - Survival 30 It actually isn’t sold in the United States for some reason so I had to purchase it on a UK website. (Beauty Bay) It is an antioxidant serum with SPF 30. At first, it appears to be tinted but it’s actually not. On NIOD’s website they state: “The slight tinted appearance is derived from the active technologies including Lutein, Fractionated Melanin and Pycnogenol.” It blends in with your skin so easily & does not leave a white cast like some other SPF products. However this serum literally makes my skin tone soo even & perfect! It also contains silicone so it completely smooths over my pores. AND besides all that great stuff, it’s a mineral sunscreen! So it protects against environmental & lifestyle issues. Like UV rays, blue light, etc. I have never loved a product as much as this one! I literally cannot believe how good my skin looks while using this stuff! For a 30ml bottle, I paid $33 on the Beauty Bay site. For me, that is completely worth it! It comes in this adorable packaging & pretty glass bottle. It also has a pump dispenser & squirts out the perfect amount for a single use! I really can’t recommend this stuff enough guys! It’s wonderful!! @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick
    At Home Exfoliating Facial ✨✨
    At Home Exfoliating Facial ✨✨
So I recently received the Mimi Co Exfoliating Wand via IG PR. I couldn’t wait to do a full facial and I decided to do it tonight. Order: I purchased a steamer from Amazon for $23 and I’m obsessed with it (DM me for product info). I started with UpCircle - Cleansing Face Balm With Apricot Powder As my oil cleanse to get my sunscreen from today off and any other oils and dirts. INDIE LEE - Purifying Face Wash This cleanser is perfect for getting dirts and oils from skin as well. It’s not drying and it’s totally worth it! I paired it with a face cleansing scrub brush, I also purchased from Amazon. I love it and I paid around $20 for it as well! It doubles the vibration frequency put out by Foreo. CLARISMA - Namaste Glow Energizing Face Mask This was the mask I chose for the enzyme properties. This breaks down dirts and oils in pores and dead skin cells. I also steamed my face during this time. Follain - Toning Mist: Balance + Prime This was what I sprayed over my face for the prep for my exfoliating wand. I didn’t have a true medium and I am out of Aloe Vera plants so😭 I then exfoliated with my wand starting at my cheeks and working upward and then to my forehead. I went down and to the sides of my nose. Glow slow! innisfree - Jeju Lava Seawater Lotion I used the toner to cleanse my skin and get any dirts left over from me exfoliating. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask I use this as my hydrating mask. I took the back of my Mimi Co Wand on switched to the Moisturizing Setting. I gently slid upwards my entire face for the last 2 mins only and then wiped the mask off with a damp cloth. earthtoskin - Tea Time Anti Aging Eye Cream This is the most hydrating eye cream I own. I used this with the back of my cleansing brush on the heat setting! Yes it made my eye feel so hydrated and relaxed. fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer This was the final step as a good moisturizer seals in everything! To prevent acne I use the SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil as my last step. I didn’t use an astringent type toner, so I wanted to still treat my skin💚
