Bring the 2000s BACK with these 7 HOT Make-Up Looks
The 2000s was an interesting decade because the beginning of the decade was very reminiscent of the 90s, while the end of the decade showed a push towards more individuality. The 2000s continued the frosted look with light-colored eye shadows and glossy lips. It was also the era of the smokey eye and bold lip look, but natural, no-makeup looks weren’t part of the 2000s.
Let’s look at some Y2K-inspired makeup looks.
Blue eyeshadow and brown lips. This first look combines two things that were popular in the 2000s. It pairs blue eyeshadow with glossy, brown lips. You can achieve this look by surrounding your eye with bright blue eyeshadow, and layering gloss on top of your brown lipstick.
Frosted everywhere. I love this look because it reminds me so much of the 2000s. It has a bit of a smokey eye along with frosted eyelids and a super glossy lip. This makeup artist hasn’t only applied frost to her eyelids, but she’s also applied highlights to her cheeks and nose.
Glossy lips and a smokey eye. This is another very 00s look. It has a signature smokey eye along with lined, glossy lips. She has paired the whole look together with the classic beachy waves that were also very popular in the 2000s.
Bold lashes and glossy lips. This look is about as natural as the 2000s got, and it’s still not quite natural. This makeup artist has paired bold eyelashes with a monochromatic look. Her eyeshadow is brown with a little highlight, and her lips are lined and glossy.
Grey smokey eye and nude lips. If you were looking for a more 2000s-inspired look rather than hitting the nail on the head, then this look is the one for you. This look combines the classic smokey eye with a softer lipstick and a little highlight on the cheeks, forehead, and nose.
Light smoke and glossy lips. This is another look that manages to marry the 00s with modern makeup looks of today. You can achieve this look by using monochromatic shades on your eyes and a tinted gloss on your lips.
Lined lips and a little smoke. Finally, If you have a Y2K-themed party coming up, this is the look for you. This look has everything the 00s was about, including smokey eyes, heavily lined eyelids, and glossy, lined lips.
The 2000s was a decade of change. The decade started with a lot of the 90s looks, but as the decade continued, the looks evolved. The most signature things about the 2000s were the smokey eyes and glossy lips.

GRWM! New products and some old!
Hello everyone! I did another GRWM using some new and old products! First I started off with a primer. I used e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer I was actually really surprised by this. It reminded me of Tachas silk canvas primer. It went on smoothly and did a good job of blurring my skin. I will say though after I looked at my makeup in the mirror up close it did settle a bit into my pores and my creases and was pretty noticeable. Overall I think this is a good product and will work for people with smoother skin. e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer Then I used the elf concealer. I love this concealer. I’ve used it so many other times in my other videos. WINKY LUX - Diamond Powder Foundation Then I used the winky lux foundation. This actually went on so nicely and was super natural looking. I love how it’s so weightless and decreases shine. I would recommend this for people with oilier skin. the CRÈME shop - "Macro Brow" Angled Brow Pencil + Spooley Then i used macro brow. This is just to fill in the last bits of my eyebrow to look fuller. It’s easy to use and has a great price point. I just wish the pigment was a little easier to apply. You have to push so hard. RITUEL DE FILLE - Rare Light Crème Luminizer My favorite brand of highlighters ever. Just so pretty and pigmented. All natural and cruelty free. An amazing brand overall. 💞 fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 I used a tinted fresh lip treatment. Love the way they hydrate and the subtle color it gives off. They also smell and taste really good 😂. Hope you enjoyed getting ready with me! Let me know if you have any questions about the products I used.
Glass skin? Uhm YES!
This mist is so fun to use. You can use it with makeup or on its own! I tend to use it on bare skin for a natural glowing look. It is a fine mist that moisturizes, nourishes and helps fight damage. It also helps fight irritation and calm the skin. I will be posting a video a little later of me using this before makeup application! Makeup glides on after using this to prep the skin. What’s in it: peach extract Hyaluronic acid Reishi mushroom lotus extract cica ceramides much more! This product has so many awesome ingredients, it’s hard not to love! PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Veil Mist I will give this a 5/5! Pros: can be used to refresh makeup can be used on bare skin hydrating calming gives a wonderful dewy glow smells nice Cons: $30 for a mist is a bit pricey but this mist does so much in return 💞 let me know a mist you love!
