Glossy eyelids have started a unique and new trend that people want to know more about. Not just that it is suitable for party-wear but its different variations can also be worn on a daily basis. Colored eyeliners and metallic eye looks have had their fair share of popularity but it’s time for them to take a side and make room for the glossy eye makeup.
One of the confusions surrounding glossy eye makeup is that whether it is doable at home or not. Since the look has been popularized by famous celebrities and an ample number of video tutorials, people now want to know more and that’s where we come in.
How to Apply Glossy Eye Makeup:
We will break it down in a few simple steps for our so they too can get the glamorous look within a short amount of time to become the life of the party.
Step # 1:
The first step is the ye’ old primer applications. Surely almost all our readers know what that means. By applying the primer right, you are laying the foundation for what is to follow. This is why you need to be careful and precise when it comes to applying primers, especially in the case of cream eye shadow and eye gloss as they can transform and don’t set well easily. In case you don’t have a primer available, using a little bit of concealer or foundation will do the trick.
Step # 2:
The next step is a bit tricky. This involves applying eye-shadow which is available in a huge variety. This is where the real confusion arises from. But we will simplify it so you can get perfect glossy eye shadow. You want to go extra shiny, so opt for an eye shadow that has a shimmer finish; we suggest gel-based iridescent shadow.
But in case you prefer powder shadow, the metallic finish can also play well for getting a glossy look.  We advise that you use a lighter shade of shadow as the application of gloss will make the shade appear darker afterwards. So go for a lighter shade and let the gloss handle the rest.
Step # 3:
The last step is the application of the gloss. There are a number of eye gloss brands available so we leave it up to you to take your pick. Anyone would do. But in case you don’t have any eye gloss at hand, clear lip gloss that is safe for eyes can also do the trick.
Apply the eye gloss using a dense eye shadow brush over the eye shadow. This will deliver a wet glossy look to your eyes. Just be sure to apply it evenly, also try not to apply too much or you will regret it later. You can add a cherry on the top by adding a little bit of volumizing mascara and you are all set.
Having a glossy eye look is not as difficult as you think. Now you don’t have to go to a beauty salon every time you want to have that perfect glossy eye-shadow makeup look.

My Top 5 Foundations for Oily Skin
My Top 5 Foundations for Oily Skin
Here are my top 5 foundations for oily/combination/acne prone skin! These are by no means my only favorite foundations, just the ones I keep going back to. 1. ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation This matte, oil-free foundation controls oil all day. It’s sweat, heat and humidity-resistant, waterproof and 24-hour colour true. With buildable, medium-to-full coverage that feels lightweight and so comfortable. No touchups needed. Best for hot weather/ holidays. The only Downside is that it doesn’t come with a pump 2. MAYBELLINE - Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation This foundation is a must have if you are looking for a good drugstore option for oily skin. It’s super affordable and gives a beautiful finish without feeling heavy on the skin. 3. HUDA BEAUTY - Fauxfilter Foundation is perfect for you if you are looking for full coverage. Just a couple of pumps go a long way. However, the formula isn’t ideal for anyone with dry skin or for people sensitive to string fragrances. 4. L'ORÉAL - Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Longwear Foundation This formula blends unbelievably well and you can build this to completely full coverage! ! I'm beyond impressed for this being drugstore. 5. The Ordinary - Colours Coverage Foundation with SPF 15 this is my everyday foundation and gives good enough coverage. I just have to mix two different shades to get my color as the range is quiet limited but for the price I pay, I don’t mind. Always stay away form words like “dewy”, “luminous”, “shiny” , “glowy” if you have oily skin. Let me know if you have any questions.
My well-loved drugstore makeup essentials
My well-loved drugstore makeup essentials
These are the drugstore makeup picks I ACTUALLY use! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Tarte Shapetape Concealer. Even the latest launches from Rare Beauty have me swooning. But drugstore makeup holds a special place in my heart. Walking through the aisles of Target or CVS gets me giddy. Quite honestly, I count those trips as my therapy sessions. Plus, these are the places were I started getting essentials to experiment with when I was younger! My favorite brands to score from are no doubt Pixi, NYX, Essence Cosmetics, Sonia Kashuk, Maybelline and Covergirl. They’re just my go-to’s! They’re the brands constantly putting out dupes for cult favorites. Everything in this picture, I use on a daily basis. I’ve been going through Maybelline Lifter Glosses like they’re going out of style. I actually was responsible for my local Target running out of stock once...oops. Another new essential that’s crawled its way into my everyday routine is the Covergirl Cooling Glow Stick. It’s part of their new Clean Fresh line and I use it on my WHOLE face. Top tip: try it under your eyes over your concealer 👀 I’m still in search for the perfect drugstore CC cream, does anyone have any good recommendations?

Just not loving Glossy Box :(
This was the Black Friday Glossy Box (missing a sachet of conditioner) and I’m just not overly impressed with their boxes lately. They seem so random. What beauty box subscriptions do you LOVE?
