Anti-Aging Routine for your 20's
If you ever wondered when is a good time to start your anti-aging skincare routine, your 20’s is a great time to start. I know you’re thinking, “as early as my 20’s?” Isn’t that too early? If you want to help prevent the aging process, your early to mid-20’s is an ideal time to start. I have come up with the things you should and shouldn’t do in your 20’s to serve you as an anti-aging guide.
The key to minimizing fine lines and wrinkles is by taking preventative anti-aging measures.
Below I list 9 anti-aging regimen tips.
APPLY YOUR SUNSCREEN
Sunscreen is an abolute necessity in your skincare routine. With Melanoma on the rise, it is extremely important to apply sunscreen daily in order to reduce your risk of developing skin cancer. According to Huffpost.com, "An estimated 90 percent of skin cancers are caused by the sun’s damaging rays, so taking precautions now can help you for years to come." Applying sunscreen will help prevent sun damage and keep your skin healthier in the long run.

It is so important to drink plenty of water during the day. Most health experts recommend one to consume 8 glasses of water each day. I know in my 20’s, I used to consume lots of caffeine to help me get through long college days, but this habit will cause dehydrated skin and possibly acne. According to Uwhealth.org, "Drinking an adequate amount of water daily is important for overall good health because water aids in digestion, circulation, absorption and even excretion." Hope that convinces you to start drinking more H2O!!
GET PLENTY OF REST
It is crucial to get 7-8 hours of sleep each day. Not only will you feel energized in the morning, but your skin will thank you. When we sleep, our skin goes into repair mode and helps regenerate new skin cells.
DO NOT PICK AT IMPERFECTIONS
Many people suffer from adult acne in their 20’s. I know it can be tempting to pick at your acne, but please resist the urge to do so. You risk creating more breakouts or even scars. Make sure you visit your dermatologist so that he or she can prescribe the proper acne medication for you if you have moderate to severe acne. If your acne is mild, you can visit a local esthetician, and he or she can do extractions and facials to help clear your blackheads or breakouts.
START USING MOISTURIZER
It is beneficial to start using a moisturizer in your early 20’s. Be sure to use the right kind for your skin type. For example, if your skin is oily, apply an oil free moisturizer that is hydrating or contains hyaluronic acid. For dry skin, creamy moisturizers work well. It is important to use an eye cream as well to prevent crows feet and treat puffiness. Incorporating moisturizer in your early to mid-20’s will help slow down the aging process in the long run.
WASH YOUR FACE 1-2 TIMES PER DAY
Always make sure you cleanse your face using an appropriate cleanser for your skin type 1-2 times per day. Makeup wipes don't count! Not washing your face daily, or going to sleep with your makeup on, can cause your pores to become clogged. Throughout the day, our skin gets dirty with oil, dead skin cells, and toxins. Clogged pores can lead to acne breakouts and dullness.
TAKE A DAILY MULTIVITAMIN
It is crucial to take your multivitamin daily. According to Medical News Today, “Research suggests that some vitamins might play a key role in skin health.” Vitamins also help nourish your skin with antioxidants and vitamins A, B, C, D, and E to help reduce inflammation and promote glowing skin.
FOLLOW A HEALTHY DIET
We all have heard the old saying, “You are what you eat.” Medicalnewstoday suggests, "While external products can help to treat conditions such as acne, the diet may play a direct role in nourishing the skin and keeping it healthful." A healthier diet may help prevent new blemishes in the long run. Healthy foods include, omega-3 acids, walnuts, almonds, fruits high in antioxidants such as berries, green tea, avocados, and vegetables.
FOLLOW A PROPER SKINCARE ROUTINE
A good skincare routine is everything. It doesn't have to include 10 steps either. It is essential you determine your proper skin type in order to correctly address your skin concerns. Avoid bad skincare habits such as over-exfoliating your skin (exfoliating your skin more than 2-3 times a week) or using unsafe alcohols because you risk drying out your skin and possibly irritating it more.
Also, make sure you are applying your skincare-products in the correct order. If you don’t apply your skincare products in the correct order, you will honestly waste your time…and money (who wants that?).

My Ulta Black Friday haul ✨
So upon seeing the ad for Ulta’s Black Friday I told myself I wasn’t going to purchase anything... three separate purchases later I found myself with a completely pink haul (which is completely out of character for me 😂) The first thing I picked up on Black Friday was the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit which I have used a few times since then. I’m absolutely blown away how stunning this is on the cheeks. I feel like ABH is the queen of highlighters that look subtle but still give you that bam out of this world glow from within. Later on in the night I decided I needed the COLOURPOP - Lux Lip Oilin the shade Truth Bomb and the #Colourpop - Amourex Glitterly Obsessed Mini Duo[products]#. I have two glitter gels by Colourpop and I absolutely love them despite not using them often. The mini pots are super cute and I don’t feel wasteful if I don’t use them. Then, on Saturday I purchased the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Haute Holiday Lip Gloss Setbecause it was on sale and I’ve been obsessed with the pale nude colors since this set came out. I also impulse bought the #It Cosmetics - Rose Gold Eye Brush Set[products]#as it was also on sale (I think I paid around $20 for it) and I needed the liner brush in it for my Melt Cosmetics gel eyeliners. This set comes with four brushes which includes my absolute favorite blending brush, the number 105. It Cosmetics has the SOFTEST brushes I’ve ever used. The quality by far surpasses anything I own. It also comes with a really cute rose gold container for it. I’m hoping to have reviews up for these eventually but here is my current Ulta haul 💗 I also plan on posting my Sephora Black Friday haul and my Ulta Cyber Monday haul once I get that. Skincare Products ( that i have been LOVING )
Recently, I have been super into skincare and keeping up with my skin’s appearance as I am growing myself in the beauty industry ( meaning that I am now CONSTANTLY doing makeup on myself! ) Fluff and Starface both sent me these products to try out, and I have been LOVING them so far! I have combination skin, and this routine is PERFECT for me! My new three favorite skincare products that I have been enjoying as of lately are 1) FLUFF - Face Oil #1 , which is 100% jojoba oil, which I used as an all natural makeup remover! Jojoba oil is super moisturizing and amazing for literally all skin types- especially acne prone and sensitive skin! 2) FLUFF cleanser , which is again - all natural - containing jojoba oil, hemp seed oil (which moisturizes without clogging pores, and balances out oily skin), ashwagandha root (which stimulates production of natural skin oils), and aloe vera (which reduces blemishes and acne, as well as lightens blemishes on the face). This cleanser does a great job of removing makeup as well as leaving you skin moisturized and soft! 3) STARFACE Moisture on Mars Hydrating Face Cream! A little bit of this product really goes a long way, leaving your face super soft, hydrated, and all with a SERIOUS glow!!! I highly recommend checking these 3 products all out! They all work great separately, but in my opinion as I have been using them cohesively, my skin has been looking and feeling great ( besides that one pimple 🙄 ). xx Isabelle

The Profusion Feel Good Skin Perfector is the best foundation I have used HANDS DOWN, and it is only $7.🙃 - shade: medium 3 neutral - skin type: combination (this foundation has kept my face 95% matte for over 9 hours) - satin finish w/ a light-medium coverage (it is buildable) - applies best with a sponge (I use the profusion marble sponge) It made my skin look healthy and even, and it’s my new everyday favorite foundation. Hi guys!!! I’ve been so obsessed with this recently! Ponytails are my favorite when I’m running late! Putting a little braid in the ponytail makes it look so cute!! This takes me literally 5 minutes and I LOVE IT😍😍 HOW TO: -gather your hair into a ponytail -secure it with a hair tie -grab a little section of hair from the ponytail -section it into 3 parts -and braid all the way down! ☺️ ✨TIP✨(you can always add a couple more mini braids in the ponytail) I feel like that would be so cute!
