🌹All Rose, No Thorns: How to nail the rosy glow look

Let’s face it. We didn’t wake up like this. But the right makeup can fool the world into thinking you did. A rosy glow is universally flattering because there’s a peachy pink shade out there for everyone. It’s a light look that elevates your features without messing with your natural beauty. With this aesthetic, you look dreamy, ethereal, and effortlessly flushed.
If I’m Shining, Everybody Gonna Shine

The rosy glow aesthetic is not for the shine-phobic! This look is all about dewy skin. Not feeling so radiant? Try Glossier’s Future Dew under a light veil of foundation or bb cream.
If you’re naturally oily, this look is about working with your natural glow. After thoroughly cleansing your face and prepping with a light kiss of moisturizer, apply a light dusting of powder to the areas you don’t want to highlight (jaw, chin, upper lip, forehead.)
Show Some Skin

A rosy glow is natural, sunkissed perfection. Leave that full coverage foundation in your makeup bag. If you’ve got freckles, let them shine for the world to see. If not, you may want to draw a few on!
A Good Lashing

Because this is a more natural look, you’ll be avoiding heavy liners and contouring. If you want to make your eyes pop, pick out a pair of soft, fluttery false lashes. A little kiss of drama breathes new life into this airy aesthetic.
Keep it Simple

For the ultimate rosy glow, work within the same color family for a gentle, easy-on-the-eyes effect. We love products like Stila’s convertible color. It’s a sheer tint that works on eyes and lips for a stress-free monochrome look.
Put On Your Party Dress

When you’re excited to rock a particular outfit, you want it to take center stage. A rosy glow look is dressed up enough for a special occasion, but it won’t compete with your ensemble.
Take it to The Next Level

Does the rosy glow look leave you wanting more? We understand. Fish gotta swim, glamour puss gotta glitter. We love Alexandra’s ‘one shadow’ look. Here, she’s modeling MAC’s Sand Tropez foiled eyeshadow, bringing a little something extra to this rosy glow perfection.

Let’s face it, we all struggle with skin issues at some point in our lives, but the majority of beauty and fashion imagery we consume only features the blemish-free side of us. Sending love and embracing imperfections take a lot of patience and strength, but it’s time for conversations around body positivity to finally turn towards skin. Self Care: Skin Roller & Sheet Masks
Self Care: Skin Roller & Sheet Masks
My new year skin-resolution is to use more sheet masks. Sheet masks are the best way to treat yourself to a moment of wellness and to give your skin a boost of hydration along with any treatments. I personally cannot stay still for 10-15 minutes, so my esthetician friends recommended that I use a facial roller with my sheet masks. This will not only keep my hands busy but enhances absorption, drain lymphatic nodes, and sculpt and tone my face. I found this great article from @SkinGym that shows you how to properly use facial rollers: 1. Start by using the larger stone and rolling upward (neck to jawline) 2. Sculpt the Jawline: Roll from chin to ear with upward rolling motion 3. Cheeks: Roll outwards from nose to temple 4. Under eye are: use the smaller stone roll gently outward from inner eye to temple 5. Forehead: use the larger stone roll outward towards the hairline. I repeat each step 2-3 times on each side of the face and repeat until serums in the sheet masks fully sinks into the skin. According to the article to get the best result you should be incorporating rolling into your daily AM and PM routine... but I’m still working on 2-3 times a week. Maybe in a month or so I can work my way up to once daily. Dr. Jart+ - Dermask Water Jet Vital Hydra Solution @cherie gifted this to me and I’ve loving this extra bit soothing hydration. They’re pretty inexpensive, ranging around $6-$9 for 5 masks. They’re formulated with patented aquasil component, hyaluronic acid and seaweed extract to provide intensive hydration. 🚫Dr. Jart+ is not cruelty-free they do test on animals when required and they do sell to mainland China which requires animal testing. #Blush Wellness - Rose Quartz Facial-Roller[products]#[FiveStars] This was gifted to me from Blush Wellness. They’re actually having a sale right now for $10. I usually pop it in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes to get them nice and cold whenever I want to get my “roll-on.”🤪 MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Soniclear Elite Antimicrobial Sonic Skin Cleansing System and MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Soniclear Replacement Serum Infusion Head I’ve also used the sonic clear serum infusion head and it works wonder as well! We ♥️ trying new products, new brands, and new ingredients. Raise your hand if you had NEVER even heard of Cica until last year 🤚 Not everything can make it’s way into your starting lineup though. I’m looking at you MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater So what do you do with all the products that just don’t work for you? Here’s some ideas for recycling your beauty products 💡 Got some facial cleansers you didn’t love? Use them as a manicure/pedicure soak 💅 Let your partner or the teenagers in your life try them Try em out as brush cleanser If they are moisturizing/foaming they might work for shaving Scrubs/exfoliants you don’t want on your face? Use them as hand/foot scrub 🦶 Scrub up those knees and elbows Smooth your booty 🍑 Got some oils that didn’t make the cut? Soften up your knees and elbows Mix some with your body lotion to make it extra rich then slather it all over 🦵 Use it for cuticle oil, any oil works! If it’s cleansing oil try using it to clean your makeup brushes 🖌 Face masks you don’t like? If they are moisturizing they are perfect to soften feet, knees, and elbows Mud masks are perfect to help with buttne or backne! Toners have witch hazel or alcohol? Pop them in the fridge and use as a cooling body spray in the summer ☀️ Bronzer just not your shade? Mix it with lotion for sexy evening body shimmer If all else fails or your skin was sensitive to the product you can always gift to a friend/teen - my daughter and her friends always LOVED to get a bag of my cast offs when she was younger OR find a freecycle/random acts of kindness group OR a women’s shelter in your area to offer it to! What else do you do to recycle your unwanted products?? 💙
Are lash serums worth it? Worth the hype??
Are lash serums worth it? Worth the hype??
I’ve been using a lash serum for the last 3-4 months and I’ve finally decided.. are they worth the hype? These photos are my ONE month progress, I’ve seen such a huge difference with the length, shininess and thickness which is absolutely amazing. This is a product that you can purchase at medical spas or from the Ten Spot/Spas! Going to keep using this for another 3 months to compare from when I started to then, I have been told you need to continue use of the serum to maintain the results! Have you tried any lash serums? I know maybelline has launched their own 😊 #lashserum #lashgrowth #longlashes

How to find your natural part!
Are you struggling with how to find your natural part? Start by brushing your hair all backwards! Then, gently push forward with even tension. Your natural part should fall into place! This works best with dry hair that is straighter or blown out, or when hair for curlier, more textured hair! Give it a try, let me know what you think! X
