What is Dip Powder and, How Does It Work?
The powder is usually made out of the same stuff as acrylics are, except with color added.
First, you’ll go through the standard manicure-prep. Once your nails are clean, buffed, and shaped, you can proceed.
Instead of mixing the adhesive and powder to mold a new extension, glue is applied to the nail. You follow up with your standard layer of base coat.
Then, you dip each nail into the colored powder—or your nail tech will apply it to keep the dip pot clean.
It’ll dry almost instantly: no UV light, finger-waggling, or fans necessary. Slick on some top coat, and you’re done!

The Good
Long-Lasting
If you’re fed up with your manicure flaking to pieces less than a week later, dip powder could be the solution. It’s renowned for being ridiculously durable—your nails can stay flawless for up to one month.
Simple and Fun Application
Powdering your nails is almost as straightforward as using standard liquid polish. You won’t need fancy equipment, like a UV light or a nail fan.
It’s also super satisfying to dip your nails in a jar of and watch them emerge colored!
Versatile Colors
You won’t be limited when selecting your favorite color—there are nearly as many options as traditional polish and more coming out every day.
The Bad
Tough Removal
Unfortunately, durable dip powder nails come at a price—they’re not easy to take off.
You can remove them from home safely, but if you can’t face putting in at least 30 minutes this manicure might not be for you.
Might Look Bulky
If your nail tech isn’t experienced or you’re new to dip powder, your nails might look oddly bulky. You can definitely go overboard with the powder application: less is more.
Potential Allergies
As with any acrylic substance, allergies are a possibility. If you notice a rash around your nail bed or elsewhere on your body after getting them done, you could be allergic.

Cul Skincare Challenge with Dr. Cula
Hi guys! I am Dr. Cula, a dermatology resident in New York. I am here to debunk all skincare myths but more importantly, here to foster excellent skincare practices. November is National Healthy Skin Month! So, I thought to kick off my page with a skincare challenge to promote healthy skincare habits among Cherie users. Join me on this 6 week skincare challenge for healthy and more beautiful skin. The challenge consists of three main steps to be done in the morning and evening (swipe to see). I added the HA serum to the evening regimen to minimize skin irritation and dryness from the retinoid, which can be exacerbated by the colder weather. So, why join me on this skincare challenge?...Because: 🥰 skincare routine is self-care. 👯‍♀️To slow down aging, consistent use of retinoids will help take the years off 💅🏽Healthy, glowy skin is a great confidence booster! How do you monitor your progress? A picture if worth a thousand words!! 🤳Take a selfie at day 0, week 3 and week 6 and share your progress on cherie! 🤳Use the Topic Tag 'Cul Skincare Challenge' and tag me so I can be sure to check out your posts! Pro tips: consistency is key to reaping the benefits. Your skin may get worse before it gets better if you are new to retinoids. Key is not to stop and to keep pushing through it! Here is my current skincare regimen: 🔆Morning Cerave cream-foam cleaser Skinceuticals vitamin C serum ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless ultralight tinted mineral sunscreen 🛌 Night Cerave cream-foam cleaser Vichy Mineral 89 hayluronic acid serum Altreno (my retinoid) LaRoche Posay Toleriane double repair face moisturizer It is OK to use any brand you want, as long as they are non-comedogenic. Good luck! And keep me posted with any questions/concerns!! Stay tuned as I will be reviewing the products that I use currently in my regimen. IG: @theculderm

FACTS ABOUT PORES: Pore size is affected by: ✔️ Age ✔️ Sun exposure overtime ✔️ Genetics ✔️ Skin type For these reasons, it is not possible to shrink pores, but these products can help minimize the appearance of pores (I listed different options to choose from in each category. One from each category is all that would be needed): 1. Sunscreen ✔️ SPF 30 or higher in the morning, reapply every 2 hours (can use setting powder to reapply!) CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Ultra Fluid Face Lotion SPF 50+ Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 2. Salicylic acid cleanser ✔️ Once a day ✔️ Treatment for acne CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser 3. Retinoids/retinol ✔️ Takes ~12 weeks to see an effect ✔️ Treatment for acne ❗️Acne may get worse before it gets better ❗️Only at night, must wear sunscreen during the day ❌ Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Adapalene Gel .01% Topical Retinoid Acne Treatment ❗️Sensitive skin may not be able to use salicylic acid cleanser and retinol/retinoid together at night (may be too irritating) ✔️ For sensitive skin: can consider salicylic acid cleanser in the morning & retinol/retinoid at night It can take weeks to months to start noticing a difference, patience is 🔑 What works to help decrease the appearance of your pores? Another beautiful HA serum other than Glowrecipe
Another beautiful HA serum other than Glowrecipe
Another beautiful Hyaluronic acid serum! I am a fan of Farsali products and this is no exception 😍❤️ MOISTURE REPLENISHING SERUM QUENCH by Farsali ✨💧 fARSÁLI - Quench I found it similar to Glowrecipe one in performance and details while the consistency is a little different. It's a hyaluronic acid serum that helps to replenish moisture in the skin by using a unique complex of low and high molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid. The staggered molecular weights of the Hyaluronic Acid are designed to help promote multi-depth hydration on both the skin's surface and in the epidermis. Enriched with replenishing Provitamin B5, the skin's elasticity appears improved as well as feeling and looking softer. ❤️INGREDIENTS: 💧Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid is a lightweight, versatile hydrator that attracts and binds 1,000 times its weight in water. Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid is such a tiny molecule, it's able to penetrate deep into your skin and replenish moisture from within. 💧Hyaluronic Acid High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid, due to the larger molecule size, this Hyaluronic Acid sits on top of the skin, forming an invisible shield that traps moisture. This helps reduce moisture loss from stress, heat, extreme cold and environmental factors. 💧Vitamin B5 Vitamin B5 a naturally moisturizing form of Vitamin B5, otherwise known as Panthenol. This silky vitamin helps replenish skin for a soft and supple appearance. The best part is it's Ingredients list, it's only 7 Ingredients and the formulation is so good that I feel I have been sleeping on this product for this long. It feels so soft and smooth on skin, goes on silky, smooth and doesn't feel heavy. And after few hours skin feels super hydrated and plump. I found this serum to be working the best for dehydrated skin condition. Especially in the colder months. Dehydration leads to broken barrier and dullnes, this targets these issues! It's only 24$ which is a win in my opinion! Their opther products which are my favorite are a bit more expensive than this one! I love it! It goes on perfect under makeup as well!
