💗7 of the Prettiest Pink Nail Designs for the Summer
These pretty pink summer nail designs are easy enough for you to DIY at home and we promise they will keep you looking hot during the summer months! Check out these perfectly polished nails designs that you’re going to love.
Summer is here—filled with fruity cocktails, pool parties, beach days, and endless amounts of fun. The warmer months always remind us to slow down, sit back and make some time for yourself. One of our favorite “me time” activities to indulge in? Painting our nails! Have a little fun with them this summer by incorporating any of these 7 pretty pink designs that we think are perfect for this time of year!
The best part about this summertime nail trend? You can easily DIY this style at home if your nail salon is still closed. Start with your base color and let that dry. Next, grab a toothpick or bobby pin and your favorite polka dot colors. Dab a little bit of each nail polish color onto a piece of paper, then dip your toothpick or bobby pin in and gently dab onto your nails. Voilà! Summer nail trend complete!
The nail trend of the summer, half dips have been taking the internet by storm! This look is easy enough to do yourself and goes a step beyond a basic manicure. This minimalist look involves—yep, you guessed it—dipping the top half of your fingertips in nail polish and leaving the bottom bare. DIY tip: to get that perfect, crisp line, dip a nail brush into polish remover and skim it across your nail, creating the perfect dividing line.
French tips are so 2000’s! Take your mani into this decade by putting a fun spin on the classic—wavy tips! Leave the base of your nail clear using a shiny topcoat or paint it any color you desire and then add some waves to your tips for a truly groovy mani.
Another design you can easily do yourself, this trend is all about choosing similar colors all in the same shade range and popping a different color onto each finger. DIY tip: starting from your left pinky and working towards the right, apply your darkest shade and then choose a slightly lighter shade as you work your way to the right. The result? A beautiful spectrum of pretty pinks adorning your fingers.
This summer is all about the neon and why not take that trend to your nails? Take it up a notch by adding an ombre effect with a fluorescent orange or deep magenta. We promise heads will turn when they spot your funky nails from a mile away!
The miniature details on this manicure trend can really take a plain pink mani to the next level! Even though the 4th of July may have come and gone, we don’t see this nail art trend going anywhere this summer. Ask you nail tech to apply foiled star appliques or have them draw them on for a fun, fresh look.
Pair this trend with another pastel color like a light, powder blue or a lovely lavender and you'll find this muted color combo really makes your nails pop! DIY tip: paint your entire nail with your pale pink color and let that dry. Then, use a fine tip nail brush and paint a small, crescent moon shape at the base of your nail, near your cuticle.
We hope you found some inspiration in these pretty pink nail designs! Summer is a great time to have some fun with your nails, so have yourself a little #SelfcareSunday this weekend and dive into one of these easy DIY trends!

Glass skin? Uhm YES!
This mist is so fun to use. You can use it with makeup or on its own! I tend to use it on bare skin for a natural glowing look. It is a fine mist that moisturizes, nourishes and helps fight damage. It also helps fight irritation and calm the skin. I will be posting a video a little later of me using this before makeup application! Makeup glides on after using this to prep the skin. What’s in it: peach extract Hyaluronic acid Reishi mushroom lotus extract cica ceramides much more! This product has so many awesome ingredients, it’s hard not to love! PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Veil Mist I will give this a 5/5! Pros: can be used to refresh makeup can be used on bare skin hydrating calming gives a wonderful dewy glow smells nice Cons: $30 for a mist is a bit pricey but this mist does so much in return 💞 let me know a mist you love!
Let’s learn a no heat style! Start by gathering your hair to one side Begin a rope braid in the front by twisting two pieces. Add hair to each section and twist again. Continue this pattern until you reach your ear. Split the remaining hair into two. While holding the section pop index finger and thumb through. Grab through the other section and repeat! Secure with an elastic. Xo
Tips from a dermatologist on sunscreen ☀️
Let’s talk about sunscreen ☀️ What’s a good sunscreen to wear? One that is: * Broad-spectrum protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays) * SPF 30 or higher * Water resistant This will help protect your skin from early skin aging, sunburn, and skin cancer. What is the difference between chemical and physical sunscreens? Chemical sunscreens work like a sponge, absorbing the sun’s rays. They contain one or more of the following ingredients: oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, and octinoxate. These are often easier to rub into the skin without a white cast. Physical sunscreens (aka mineral sunscreens) act like a shield, sitting on the surface of your skin and deflecting the sun’s rays. These can come on white. They have the active ingredients zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide Reapply every 2 hours when outside in the sun ☀️ Some of my favorites: Tinted: Cerave tinted, la roche posay tinted, alastin CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 ALASTIN SKINCARE - HydraTint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 36 Not tinted: colorescience, drunk elephant colorescience - Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Sunscreen DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 What’s your favorite sunscreen?
THIS DERMATOLOGISTS FAVORITE NEW CLEANSER
Cleansers are an essential step in everyone’s skincare routine, but it can be difficult to find the right one for your skin. The new Aveeno Calm + Restore nourishing oat cleanser has been my new go-to daily cleanser and I love it. ❤️🙌 Aveeno has always been a brand to create formulations that target dry and sensitive skin and this cleanser is no different. This cleanser is great for people all skin types but would likely benefit dry or combination skin most. The incorporated oat complex helps restore build the skin’s moisture barrier and soothe itchy skin. There is no stripping effect with this cleanser, which is something too always look for with your cleanser. Other pros about this product are its fragrance free (limiting any irritant reactions) as well as great pricing. On amazon, you can find a bottle for under $10.‼️‼️ TRUTH: If you are trying to fight acne or blackheads I recommend against this cleanser and try finding something with salicylic acid. Have you tried the new Aveeno cleanser? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! ⤵️
