Download the app today to be a part of #BeautyWithoutBarriers and show the world what beauty means to you!Anyone who has seborrheic dermatitis knows how itchy and uncomfortable your scalp can be on any given day. I've had it since high school and was always on a constant search for products that would help keep my scalp itch and scab free. From scalp scrubs to apple cider vinegar washes, I've tried it all and to no avail (BTW that Sunday Riley Clean Rinse scalp treatment is a BUST). While I've had moments of scalp freedom, my experience with seborrheic dermatitis was so consistent that I ended up getting used to it and had all but given up on my search. I didn't realize how good it could feel to have an itch-free scalp... until I tried Vitabrid's hair care line. Vitamin C Hair Care = SCALP FREEDOMThe duo that I owe my scalp health to is Vitabrid's Scalp Shampoo and Hair Tonic. For my first week of use, I decided only to use the shampoo, no conditioner, and the tonic at my roots. I'd put a leave-in oil from Ouai for the middle and ends of my hair to keep them moisturized.Vitabrid's Scalp Shampoo:From Vitabrid's website, benefits of this shampoo include: - Helps to reverse the damage caused by environmental factors as well as chemical treatments and processing. - Antioxidants Vitamins C & E deliver energy to the cells to promote healthy hair. - Prevents hair loss and promotes thicker hair. - Natural plant-sourced ingredients make a sensitive and weak scalp healthier and provide moisture and nutrients to the hair, thus maintaining its luster. - Natural, plant-sourced ingredients keep the scalp healthy, nourished, and moisturized. - Gentle, pH balanced formula is safe for all hair types and textures. - Free of 16 harmful substances including silicon, parabens, and sulfates

Vitabrid C¹²Scalp ShampooVitabrid's Hair Tonic:From Vitabrid's website, benefits of this tonic include: - Patented vitamin C powder is combined with a hair tonic, allowing for the delivery of transdermal Vitamin C into the scalp for 12 hours. Vitamin C improves cell metabolism and promotes collagen production, preventing hair loss and making hair stronger. - Active ingredients are delivered deep into the scalp to soothe irritation caused by harmful external factors. Additional nutrients deliver moisture and help promote thicker, shinier, healthier hair. - Antioxidant protection minimizes UV damage and prolongs the life of hair color - A separate conditioner is not needed as it hydrates and smoothes the scalp and hair
Vitabrid C¹²Hair Tonic ProfessionalAn Unexpected Experience & Better-Than-Hoped-For ResultsAs you can see above, these two products have some powerful claims and some powerful ingredients. I went into trying this duo with minimal expectations—after you've tried just about everything for scalp health to no effect, it's safe to keep expectations low. My first impressions on the shampoo: - WOW this smells sooo good! Citrus-y but not too sweet. A hint of musk. This could be a perfume 😍 - Love this lather, and it feels really cooling on my scalp - I wish there was a conditioner tho... My first impressions on the tonic: - Ooof this smells really strong, almost medicinal - That vitamin C is coming through though - I like how fine this mist is The next morning waking up - My scalp doesn't itch!!! - My hair is BOUNCING - Is this what scalp freedom feels like? After about a week of use, it was safe to say I found my holy grail when it comes to scalp care. I threw away all the arbitrary scalp products I had (sorry Briogeo and Sunday Riley) and reveled in this discovery. Fast forward to a month of use, and my scalp has truly never felt so healthy. I only use the scalp shampoo about once or twice a week, but I continue to use the hair tonic every time I wash my hair. Finding products that grant you freedom from discomfort is why beauty lovers scour the web for all sorts of solutions. When you find something so good, share it with the world!

Ash me out
Have you really wanted to be a nice ash brown but it seems impossible to get to this color? Here’s why: Ash brown usually contains blues and purples to tone down yellow and orange pigments. The only way you can really get these tones to work and get extremely ashy is if you have a certain level of blonde, either prelightened or natural. There are 10 levels of hair color: • 1- Black • 2-Darkest brown (the eye doesn’t notice the difference between level 2 and level 1, so hairstylists just mix a level 1 and 3 together) •3-Dark brown •4- Medium Brown •5-Light Brown •6-Lightest brown •7-Darkest Blonde •8-Medium Blonde •9-Light Blonde •10- Lightest Blonde/Platinum There are also underlying pigments ghat each level of color brings, so if you lighten your hair and wonder why you got red or orange, this is why. As well as 10 levels of color, the 10 undertones that come with them are: •Black- has blue tones ALWAYS •Darkest brown- Blue and Violet tones •Dark Brown-Violet •Medium brown-Red and Violet •Light brown- Red and Orange •Lightest brown- Orange and Red •Darkest blonde-Orange •Medium blonde- Yellow and Orange •Light Blonde- Yellow •Lightest blonde- Pale yellow So now, knowing what colors turn certain tones when you lighten them to different levels, to get an ash brown you should probably be a level 8 and up! Levels with yellow tend to accept both blue and violet pigments and they turn to a beautiful “mushroom brown” color! It’s not easy to achieve but at least now you know the process in which us hairstylists should be working through with your haircolors(: This client was just a simple toner over her platinum blonde hair because she wanted something to lighten up by the summer so she could lighten again with less damage! 4 HAIR STRAIGHTENING MISTAKES
I know what you’re thinking—why would anyone take advice from me, considering that I already have straight hair? Here’s why—even though my hair is longer now, I used to have it cut in a blunt bob that I love straightening to keep it looking super polished and styled. So, here’s all the mistakes I learned NOT to make when it came to straightening hair. 🚨 Mistake 1: Not sectioning your hair. Sectioning your hair makes it easier to focus on a smaller part of your hair at a time for a better result! I used to think that sectioning wasn’t necessary, but when I started taking the extra effort to do it, my hair looked so much better. 🚨 Mistake 2: Taking too big of a section to straighten at once—the heat from your straightener won’t be as effective over too much hair, and lead to potentially more damage over time as you have to keep going over the same section again and again. 🚨 Mistake 3: Using too high of a heat. You don’t need to use the maximum heat on hair! Yes, a heat protectant will help protect your hair from the heat, but it’s not a free pass to use the highest heat possible. It’s important to minimize any damage to your hair! I only use my straightener on medium/high heat. 🚨 Mistake 4: Not running a comb through your hair before straightening. Even though my hair is straight, it can tangle easily which means that it won’t pass through the straightener properly, leaving me with a burned tangle! Some people prefer to run the comb after the straightener, but either way I think it’s a great step to ensuring hair is perfectly straight and styled. Here’s all the the tools you’ll need to straighten your hair without making any rookie mistakes: - Comb (similar product tagged) - Hair straightener (similar product tagged) - Alligator clips (similar product tagged) Also, it’s not pictured but ANYTIME you are using heat on your hair you should be using a heat protectant!
HOW TO GET RID OF OILY HAIR 💡💡💡
I used to hate washing my hair every night before I got in bed, while I have to, due to the greasy hair. If you have thick oily hair too, well, lucky for you, I’m gonna share my experience in fighting my thick oily hair and how I finally keep my hair under control, Look how wonderful my hair is now! Keep going! Before I get started, girls, I just wanna say, oily scalp and hair are pretty common, you don’t have to feel ashamed about it. There are multiple ways and products could help us to get rid of it! If you have oily skin, you would definitely know charcoal masks that can unclog pores, sap up excess sebum that leads to blackheads, and give skin a thoroughly deep cleanse. But if your scalp is overproducing oil, it may surprise you that it has similar needs — the skin on our heads is still skin after all. We might think that only dry, brittle hair is in need of a targeted treatment, but that's not true. I’ve done a lot of research, that tea tree oil, peppermint oil, and lavender essential oils are some of the most amazing ingredients used in hair masks for oily hair that can balance your scalp's natural oils and even relieve dandruff and itching for healthier hair. LUSETA TEA TREE OIL HAIR MASK, which I’ve been using for years. THIS PRODUCT IS MAGIC!!! I found this product at Macy’s just wanted to try it to see if I would like it & let me tell you that if I see it now I buy it without hesitation. This leaves your hair feeling fresh. YES! You actually feel your hair feel fresh and clean. I leave it on my hair for about 5-10 minutes then wash and put the leave in the conditioner. I can honestly say that this product has brought my hair back to life! I highly recommend it! LUSETA BEAUTY - Tea Tree & Argan Oil Hair Mask 16.9oz It provides rich and deep nourishment into each strand and soft locks. Contains no sulfites alcohol, sulfates, parabens and no silicone, which means it’s totally natural and safe. What’s important, it can remove and absorb surface oils inside and around clogged hair follicles that moisturizes the scalp just enough to relieve it of white flakes. How to use : After cleansing with shampoo, apply generously to damp hair and leave on for up to 5 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly. I do this every other day and finally my dandruff is manageable. Hope this article will be helpful!
At-Home Manicure Tutorial💅
Today Im gonna share my fully process, STEP-BY-STEP at home manicure with you guys. starting out, you will need to get your nail polish off (if you have some left) Started out, I would take 100% acetone where you can get at almost everywhere. I got mine at Walmart with great deal. I found that acetone takes nail polish off the easiest. Make sure you get your nails moisturized. After I get my cuticles softened and trimmed, I would use a buff to buff off the sharp edges and to get the perfect shape that I want. Then it’s time to move on to my base coat. I am using this base coat from Revlon that I get in drugstore years ago. It’s supper affordable and I personally don’t have any preferences on nail polish branding. If you know one that’s really working fantastic, let me know I want to try something different. REVLON - Nail Care Quick Dry Base Coat *TIP # 1 * Paint your dominant hand first. I am left handed, so I usually paint my left hand first. Because it is hard to control non-dominant hand when you are doing everything by yourself. *TIP # 2 * Dab in the middle in the center first, slowly go down and then repeat across the entire nail. Let that dry completely before moving to the next step. *TIP # 3 * If you want to test whether it’s dried or not, don’t touch it. Instead, press them against each other. If they feel sticky, it’s still not set. Normally 5 minutes Repeat the same step to paint the first coat of nail polish. Normally I would do at least 2 - 3 coat to get the perfect radiance.essie - Longwear Nail Polish Finish up with a thin layer of top coat.L.A. COLORS - Top Coat Wait at least 30 minutes before touching water after you are completely finished.
