Download the app today to be a part of #BeautyWithoutBarriers and show the world what beauty means to you!I had always had pretty clear, unproblematic skin for most of my high school and college life. In my last year of college something drastically changed, and my skin was out of control. I had acne on almost every inch of my face with no explanation or guidance. I couldn’t help but feel that my skin betrayed me and for months I scrambled looking for miracle products to cure all of my skin issues and restore my skin to its former glory. I quickly realized after a few months of trying a new product, seeing minor results and then having my skin revert back that one product wasn’t going to cure all of my problems. I had to embark on a skincare journey, something I knew very little about. Although I managed to find a routine that helped to control my acne after months of intense searching, the havoc it wreaked on my skin was still apparent. The hyperpigmentation, dark marks and obscenely large pores on my skin were a reminder of the struggles I had endured on my journey. I thought I understood my skin concerns and how I should be addressing them. Unsurprisingly, the Cherie app showed me that was not the case. Cherie is a free online app that I had stumbled upon not too long ago and I decided to give it a try. After using the app briefly, I discovered there was a “skin report” feature that could help me identify which parts of my skin needed a little extra attention.

I wasn’t too sure about how to use the feature, but it was fairly simple. Scan a raw selfie (no makeup) and let the app analyze your skin. In just a few moments I had a detailed report on my skin and its health. This selfie is stored in your ‘skin journey’ and you can keep track of how your skin develops as you try new products by adding a new selfie every day, every other day or even once a week…whatever works best for you.

When I first looked at my results, I was definitely surprised. I never thought my pores were so large. This picture only confirmed that although my skin is in decent shape right now, there is still definitely work to be done. One of the best things about the report is it allows you to look at each issue separately and see where your problem areas are. As you can see, the majority of my issue falls within the t-zone area which can be prone to oiliness. The report not only identifies problem areas but gives suggestions on how to address those issues and recommends products that may work for my skin.

This feature is really what sets Cherie apart from any other platform. The curated list of products is listed under each skin issue so you can easily browse and select any products that pique your interest. You can also read real user reviews all on the same platform. There are so many skincare products on the market that it would be impossible to browse through them all, but with Cherie’s skin report you have access to a number of trusted skincare products that can truly transform your skin.

I simply went to my most concerning skin issue which happens to be my large pores and oilier skin and looked through the suggestions. Cherie provides access to a public board where users can offer and ask for advice on their specific issues and get feedback from real people. They also provide a list of products ranging in price that would help take care of my skin. Overall, the Cherie skin report gives you a clear idea of how your skin is doing and how you can help it improve. There’s no second guessing if a product will work for you or not – with Cherie you can be confident in your skincare choices.

It doesn’t absorb as it says it will. I also have combination skin so, that may be a thing as well. Let me know below in the comments if it works for you and what skin type you have. I do hate throwing products away so what I’m going to do is use it as an oil base for a lip scrub (adding brown sugar & oil scent additive). Or any other way you make your lip scrub I this would add great moisture.
GRWM! New products and some old!
GRWM! New products and some old!
Hello everyone! I did another GRWM using some new and old products! First I started off with a primer. I used e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer I was actually really surprised by this. It reminded me of Tachas silk canvas primer. It went on smoothly and did a good job of blurring my skin. I will say though after I looked at my makeup in the mirror up close it did settle a bit into my pores and my creases and was pretty noticeable. Overall I think this is a good product and will work for people with smoother skin. e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer Then I used the elf concealer. I love this concealer. I’ve used it so many other times in my other videos. WINKY LUX - Diamond Powder Foundation Then I used the winky lux foundation. This actually went on so nicely and was super natural looking. I love how it’s so weightless and decreases shine. I would recommend this for people with oilier skin. the CRÈME shop - "Macro Brow" Angled Brow Pencil + Spooley Then i used macro brow. This is just to fill in the last bits of my eyebrow to look fuller. It’s easy to use and has a great price point. I just wish the pigment was a little easier to apply. You have to push so hard. RITUEL DE FILLE - Rare Light Crème Luminizer My favorite brand of highlighters ever. Just so pretty and pigmented. All natural and cruelty free. An amazing brand overall. 💞 fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 I used a tinted fresh lip treatment. Love the way they hydrate and the subtle color it gives off. They also smell and taste really good 😂. Hope you enjoyed getting ready with me! Let me know if you have any questions about the products I used.
A Year in review!
A Year in review!
This year has definitely been a wild ride. I’ve learned so much more about my hair and skin in this last year than I ever thought I would or needed to know! All the way from using witch hazel and not paying attention to my curl pattern, to staying completely fragrance free with face products and staying away from harsh toners and paying attention to what my hair was trying to do! Using this app has really opened doors for me that I wouldn’t thought possible for my beauty process! I can’t wait to see what more years bring me, and us! Thank you @cherie!
