Cherie's Skin Report: Next-Level Skin Analysis & FixesI investigate Cherie’s Skin Report app and share how it can help you pinpoint skin issues—and what to do to fix them!
I’m one of those people who struggles when it comes to skincare. I’ve gone through more phases than Madonna in the quest for flawless skin. I’ve tried everything from natural oils to intimidating-sounding chemicals to help. Still, the bane of my existence—large, unsightly pores—remained stubbornly present. Dr. Google and guesswork didn’t seem to be working for me. I started to explore other options to understand my skin better. Knowledge is power, right? Cherie’s Skin Report cropped up when I started browsing for an affordable (read: free) way to learn to fix my complexion crisis. All you have to do is download it and snap a selfie. The caveat is that the app demands an honest photo: no ring light, sexy angles, and no makeup. I was both delighted and disheartened with the results. The upside is that Cherie’s Skin Report delivered the promised report of my skin including photos highlighting specific troubles. The downside is that it confirmed what I already knew—my pores were definitely visible. A handy map with dots pointed out where my pores were largest. I wasn’t particularly overjoyed to face the bitter truth about my pesky pores, but I was impressed that the app picked up my specific problem areas. The report will show you what’s not ideal with your skin on a sliding scale for each feature. You’ll also see how you fare in terms of acne, wrinkles, and dark spots. If you’re finicky like me, you’ll appreciate that it’s not a generic scale—the analysis is refreshingly precise. Dark circles are rated from visible to bright; and wrinkles are either deep, average, or smooth. Now, here’s where Cherie’s Skin Report goes above and beyond. It doesn’t only tell you what’s wrong with your skin—you’ll also find how to improve it. You’ll see suggested ingredients, treatment plans, and products suitable for your skin woes. That was a huge relief because my own detective work where it concerned my skin had brought me less-than-stellar results. I didn’t have to put on my dermatologist hat and start doing research to figure out what to try. As a bonus, you won’t have to start browsing blogs to double check reviews for each product you’re considering. The Cherie app is an entire community of beauty lovers, meaning tapping on a product reveals reviews and techniques for best effects. You’ll get detailed info on each product: the effects, highlights, where to shop, and similar products. As someone with a limited budget but ambitious dreams for my skin, I like that Cherie offers options—and that I don’t have to leave the app to learn about them. The coolest part is that you can update your skin report as many times as you want. To add to that, all your selfies are stored in your personal Skin Journey. That allows me to check how my skin is progressing, and identify patterns—like sudden pimples after my weekend Netflix-and-pizza binge-fest. I have always found it tough to track cause and effect with my skin, so access to my Skin Journey is practical. Cherie also offers you the opportunity to collect with fellow lovelies who share a similar skin type to you. I’m not going to lie; I fell deep into the rabbit hole of gorgeous beauties sharing their regiments, strategies, and reviews. This skin analysis app exceeded my expectations in every respect. It’s basically a friendly (and free) dermatologist in your phone. My advice? This app is totally worth a try to get to know your skin better.

GRWM! New products and some old!
Hello everyone! I did another GRWM using some new and old products! First I started off with a primer. I used e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer I was actually really surprised by this. It reminded me of Tachas silk canvas primer. It went on smoothly and did a good job of blurring my skin. I will say though after I looked at my makeup in the mirror up close it did settle a bit into my pores and my creases and was pretty noticeable. Overall I think this is a good product and will work for people with smoother skin. e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer Then I used the elf concealer. I love this concealer. I’ve used it so many other times in my other videos. WINKY LUX - Diamond Powder Foundation Then I used the winky lux foundation. This actually went on so nicely and was super natural looking. I love how it’s so weightless and decreases shine. I would recommend this for people with oilier skin. the CRÈME shop - "Macro Brow" Angled Brow Pencil + Spooley Then i used macro brow. This is just to fill in the last bits of my eyebrow to look fuller. It’s easy to use and has a great price point. I just wish the pigment was a little easier to apply. You have to push so hard. RITUEL DE FILLE - Rare Light Crème Luminizer My favorite brand of highlighters ever. Just so pretty and pigmented. All natural and cruelty free. An amazing brand overall. 💞 fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 I used a tinted fresh lip treatment. Love the way they hydrate and the subtle color it gives off. They also smell and taste really good 😂. Hope you enjoyed getting ready with me! Let me know if you have any questions about the products I used.

Tips from a dermatologist on sunscreen ☀️
Let’s talk about sunscreen ☀️ What’s a good sunscreen to wear? One that is: * Broad-spectrum protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays) * SPF 30 or higher * Water resistant This will help protect your skin from early skin aging, sunburn, and skin cancer. What is the difference between chemical and physical sunscreens? Chemical sunscreens work like a sponge, absorbing the sun’s rays. They contain one or more of the following ingredients: oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, and octinoxate. These are often easier to rub into the skin without a white cast. Physical sunscreens (aka mineral sunscreens) act like a shield, sitting on the surface of your skin and deflecting the sun’s rays. These can come on white. They have the active ingredients zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide Reapply every 2 hours when outside in the sun ☀️ Some of my favorites: Tinted: Cerave tinted, la roche posay tinted, alastin CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 ALASTIN SKINCARE - HydraTint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 36 Not tinted: colorescience, drunk elephant colorescience - Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Sunscreen DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 What’s your favorite sunscreen?
