✨Cherie Creator 101 - Add Text to Photos to Gain More Followers!
Hi creators! We're so excited to see all of you share your beauty content with us and the rest of the Cherie community. We know it can be hard to make posts that will stand out when there are so many posts being shared daily in the app. We want to make sure the content you work hard on gets the recognition it deserves so we hope this helps to provide some tips and tricks on how to create a successful post! 💗Tip 1: Add text to your post cover photo! Just making a quick edit to add text to the photo on your post can result in a higher average click rate than posts without it. Another interesting note is that users who post cover photos with text added have 20% more followers than the users that don't!Picarts and Fonta are examples of apps you can use to add text to photos with lots of different fonts to choose from (and you can also add text to photos with Instagram stories as well)! Tip 2: Make sure your post has a clear topic! There are so many different types of content you can create and share with the community and we love seeing all of the creative ideas you have. Here are a few examples of specific topics that you can make use of when posting! ⭐️ Comparison (ex: dupes, before & after, etc.)In a comparison post, you can share the differences between two different products or your before and after results from using one product! You can compare anything you want and share the results and your thoughts with the community. A very popular example that the Cherie community especially loves to see is dupes! You can compare a two different products from both ends of the price spectrum and share your opinion on which one was more worth it or worked better for you. ⭐️Product Collection (including: Must-Have Products, Favorites, Do's & Dont's, etc.) You can also share your collection of beauty products and what your current must-haves and favorites are! Tip: To enhance your photo post, you can add text highlighting product information such as key ingredients, price, product/brand name, skin concerns, and more! Some examples are shown here. This creator added unique text and doodles to showcase key product information and make their post more eye-catching! Tip 3: Include information about your personal skin journey / skin type + concerns! Everyone has different skin types and concerns that they would like to address, so it's always helpful if you can include specific information about your skin and what products you found worked for you and why! Describe your personal experience using a product / routine and how effectively it addressed your specific concerns or skin type. The more detail, the better! This will help fellow community members who have similar skin concerns to make more informed decisions about what products, ingredients, etc. to add to their own routines! In these examples, the text has helpful information that describes skin types, key product ingredients, and final thoughts directly edited onto post photos! Thanks for reading and for being a part of the Cherie community! We're so excited to see all of the content you're going to create. Happy posting! 💗

Is Glowrecipe Hormonal Acne skin approved?
I was always a fan of Glowrecipe’s packaging and I had seen the episode when they appeared on Shark tank few years back. I was intrigued and wanted to try the brand but when it initially launched, the products were a little too pricey for me. I was willing to buy GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask the very first time and I know why I was gravitated towards this particular product. I was new to AHA/chemical exfoliants and this products sounded perfect to take a leap with it. This was very gentle on my sensitive Acne prone skin and didn’t irritate me too much. So I was happy with this one and I wanted to try more, guess we are never happy with no matter how much skincare right?😅 I went ahead and tried their GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist and GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer Amazing!!! I felt in love... The mist is super fine almost like water diffuser but of course with Hyaluronic acid and Watermelon extract in it. It gives an instant cooling effect so my sensitive, inflamed (with acne) skin used to love the feel of it. It is oil-water infused mist meaning it has oil on top of water hence you have to shake well before misting👍. I never disliked or put it off my favorites list ❤️ The Pink juice moisturizer is the perfect moisturu for my Oily and combination skin type. It takes care of moisturizing my Oily part as well as locks the moisture on the dryer one. Perfect watery-gel that smells fresh like watermelon slushee and feels cooling on face 👍 The last one to try out for me wasGLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask And I’d be honest I didn’t like the formula. It’s thick, occlusive and rich cream one that’s but too heavy for my skin. This was the finish and texture, but I anyway give the product few chances to see if it’s really giving me any good results. It didn’t give the results I typically see with Retinols and Retinoids on my skin. Hence wasn’t my favorite in this line. ✨So far, I like the brand. The products are subtle, near to basic yet gently effective and perfect for people with sensitive skin types. ✨Although, heads up for the watermelon fragrance, if you’re sensitive to perfume in skincare, take a patch test. ✨It definitely was and is worth all the hype. The only downside is the price. It’s on high end side and I had a hard time purchasing these together 😅 What do you think of them?? Also dropping an illustration I’ve done for this image🤩❤️

Liquid Shadows - The Easiest Look Evvvaaaa
I’m a big fan of shimmery liquid shadows because they’re easy to apply and look like you put in way more effort into your eye look than you actually did. Liquid shadows all feature some sort of doe foot applicator that you can apply directly to your lid, finger, or brush. Tap out with your finger for more color or a brush for a more soft, diffused effect. Adding a second layer will also intensity the color. Heck, you could even layer different colors for a custom color! These are some of my favorites in my collection. Most are higher end and mid-range, but you can sometimes get these on sale and I also encourage you to try drugstore formulas like Wet n Wild and ELF. My favorite way to wear these is on their own, but you can also add some powder shadow into your crease and/or outer corner depending on the look you’re going for. Swipe for swatches and looks wearing 3 of these over the last few days! Top to bottom: Kosas - 10-Second Eyeshadow in the shadows “globe” (chestnut) and “supreme” (deep gold)- love the lightweight, buildable but easy to sheer formula, but color range is limited and these are definitely a splurge item at $27 each. “Globe” was sent to me by the brand, “supreme” purchased by me. Colourpop x Zoella supernova shadow in “bellini”. I somehow missed that Colourpop no longer sells these shadows?!?! Sorry about that.. This was part of a creator collection with Zoella. The formula is super easy to work with and reflective (see eye look). These used to retail for $8 or $9. Bummer they’re not available anymore... You may be able to find on EBay, Poshmark, Mercari, etc. COVER FX - Shimmer Veil in the shade “amethyst”. I have 4 of these shimmer veils. This color is my favorite. It’s a soft purple that compliments my brown eyes and offers shimmer without being gaudy. The formula is nice, but not consistent across all colors. I have a very pale pink that cracks and makes my eyelids look 80 years old, but this color and the other 2 (not featured) don’t do that. These are not worth $28 each. Get on sale or look for a minis set. Glossier. - Lidstar in the shades “cub” (rose gold) and “fawn” (taupe purple). Glossier has a deal where you can purchase 2 for $30, which was okay by me. Both colors are stunning and can be sheered out or built up. You don’t need a primer - they last all day on their own. The shade range is limited, so I hope thar Glossier expands in the future. stila - Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in “starlight”. I LOVE this formula. It’s worth the money in my opinion, and especially awesome if you can find at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s for 1/2 price like I did. I have purchased other shades at full price ($24) and used them up! My true faves are “cloud” and “grace” but I haven’t replaced them yet. I much prefer this formula vs the glitter formula because those required glitter glue and dried out super quick. What’s your fave?
