Hi creators! We're so excited to see all of you share your beauty content with us and the rest of the Cherie community. We know it can be hard to make posts that will stand out when there are so many posts being shared daily in the app. We want to make sure the content you work hard on gets the recognition it deserves so we hope this helps to provide some tips and tricks on how to create a successful post! 💗Tip 1: Add text to your post cover photo! Just making a quick edit to add text to the photo on your post can result in a higher average click rate than posts without it. Another interesting note is that users who post cover photos with text added have 20% more followers than the users that don't!Picarts and Fonta are examples of apps you can use to add text to photos with lots of different fonts to choose from (and you can also add text to photos with Instagram stories as well)!

Tip 2: Make sure your post has a clear topic! There are so many different types of content you can create and share with the community and we love seeing all of the creative ideas you have. Here are a few examples of specific topics that you can make use of when posting! ⭐️ Comparison (ex: dupes, before & after, etc.)
campaign, cherie
In a comparison post, you can share the differences between two different products or your before and after results from using one product! You can compare anything you want and share the results and your thoughts with the community. A very popular example that the Cherie community especially loves to see is dupes! You can compare a two different products from both ends of the price spectrum and share your opinion on which one was more worth it or worked better for you. ⭐️Product Collection (including: Must-Have Products, Favorites, Do's & Dont's, etc.)

You can also share your collection of beauty products and what your current must-haves and favorites are! Tip: To enhance your photo post, you can add text highlighting product information such as key ingredients, price, product/brand name, skin concerns, and more! Some examples are shown here.

Tip 3: Include information about your personal skin journey / skin type + concerns! Everyone has different skin types and concerns that they would like to address, so it's always helpful if you can include specific information about your skin and what products you found worked for you and why! Describe your personal experience using a product / routine and how effectively it addressed your specific concerns or skin type. The more detail, the better! This will help fellow community members who have similar skin concerns to make more informed decisions about what products, ingredients, etc. to add to their own routines!

THIS is why I love BoxyCharm 🙌🏾 These products wouldn’t have been on my radar, but they were delivered right to my door + I absolutely LOVE all of them! And this olive eye!! I’m feelin it! Full tutorial and review are on YouTube now! Link in bio ❤️ Product List: #Violet Voss - Olive You Forever[products]#[FiveStars] This is my first time trying this brand and I'm really impressed! The shadows are creamy, pigmented, and super blendable! FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya I love the cleansing balm so I was excited to try this! It has definitely helped my skin stay hydrated and even makes it look more glowy and matte! I love the texture and it absorbs quickly! #Avant Skincare - Bi-Phase Hyaluronic Acid Rejuvenating Micellar Water[products]#[FourStars] This reneges ALL my makeup, even mascara, with no issues! My skin feels smooth and hydrated after using it. However, it has a LOT of fragrance. I don't mind the smell, but it does linger. #Seraphine Botanicals - Apple + Baume Glow Lip Mask[products]#[FiveStars] A great lip mask! Hydrated lips nicely! I like applying this as I start my makeup routine and it's usually absorbed by the time I get to my lips. #Trust Fund Beauty - Lipgasm Lip Gloss[products]#[FourStars] this is a pretty gloss but it is a bit sticky. What do you think about this box?

HOW TO ROUND 2: EASIEST INTENSE WING LINER
Why hello there! I’m continuing on my how to tutorials. I really like this series breaking down all makeup trends and putting up how to tutorials for all makeup artist levels for makeup trends. Continuing on the wing liner, I used a liquid liner for my wing tutorial which is what I normally do. But liquid liners are not very beginner friendly. So this tutorial will teach you how to create an intense wing liner using a matte black eyeshadow. So check out the tutorial above to see how I achieve a wing liner using eyeshadow. Next tutorial will be the last of the wing liners. Hairstyles for the gym don’t have to be cute - but it’s nice when they are!! Here is a SUPER easy Dutch braid into a bun - perfect for the gym when you don’t want your hair getting in your face when you’re moving around! Begin with the Dutch braid which is a 3 strand braid taking pieces from either side of your head, UNDER the middle strand of hair. Then fluff it out by pulling on the braid strands and then take all of that and put into a half bun, wrap the extra hair and you’re done!!! Literally so easy yall and SO STINKING CUTE!! Xo, Johanna
What it means to blowdry down the hair cuticle!
What it means to blowdry down the hair cuticle!
Let’s simplify what it means when a hairstylist says to blow dry down the hair cuticle: When you think of your hair, think of the shingles on a roof. They’re all laying down but on top of each other. The cuticle of our hair is doing the same! When we blow dry up or at the hair cuticle, it causes all those little shingles to stand up- causing frizz, loss of moisture, and hair damage. When we blow dry down the hair cuticle, all the shingles can lay flat against each other and be the protective barrier that they’re supposed to be. If you’re having trouble with extra frizz or loss of moisture pay attention to the direction that your blow drying. This could make all the difference!
