A Guide to Perfect Straight Hair🤩🤩

Straightening your hair isn't and shouldn't be difficult but you need to pay attention and take your time. A mistake can burn your hair or skin or, possibly, add a crimp to your hair and even make it frizzy and ruined. Avoid these issues with careful preparation and treat your hair with a heat protection product prior to straightening.
But there's more to it than just grabbing your iron and going for gold. It’s all in the preparation and aftercare. To get sleek and beautiful locks every time, it’s also important to focus on the health of your hair. Strong and healthy hair not only looks better, but it will allow your blowout to last longer. Use coconut oil as a treatment once a week and shampoo it out in the morning. In a few weeks, your hair will feel like silk. When your hair is healthy and strong, it can hold up to heat a lot better, giving you a better, longer-lasting style.
You should always clean your flat iron. This is a simple thing that most of us do not do (guilty!) Between using heat protectant spray and any other styling products that may be in your hair, build up can and will affect your flat iron, which can cause it to snag and ruin your hair. For a smooth, clean style, make sure you’re cleaning your flat iron regularly. When your iron is turned off, wipe down with rubbing alcohol and a warm, damp cloth.
We’ve broken it down into 10 easy steps for you to follow below:
10 Easy Steps to sleek straight hair
  • Wash your hair with quality shampoo and conditioner and dry your hair until damp.
  • Apply heat protectant. Spray lightly onto your entire head of hair.
  • Brush or comb your hair. Ensure all tangles are removed.
  • Plug in the flat iron and let it heat up for three to five minutes.
  • Section off your hair. The thicker the hair, the more sections you need. People with thin hair can skip this step or divide it into two to four sections, while people with thick hair may need many more.
  • Separate a lock of hair. Starting with the lowest layer of hair, separate a lock of hair 1–2 inches wide. This should be small enough that you can fit the flat iron around it easily, and straighten it in one pass.
  • Clamp the iron above the roots. Place your flat iron 1–3 inches above your scalp.
  • Close the two heated sides together, with the hair between them. Run the iron down the length of your hair. Repeat with all remaining locks. Once you've finished one section, unpin the next and repeat.
  • Rub in a small amount of hair oil in the ends, about the size of a pea or even smaller.
  • Spray a little hairspray over the flyaway strands and comb them down.
  • 5 Top Tips
  • Make sure your hair is 100 percent dry before you do anything, since straightening even semi-damp hair guarantees a ton of heat damage.
  • Stay away from oil-based thermal protectors.Using a product that contains less oil but also packs in the same thermal protectants is a great option for girls who use their straighteners daily.
  • Use a fine-tooth comb when straightening. Start by attaching the comb to a section of hair and follow with the straightener to make sure I get every piece of hair perfectly straight, and that way, you don’t have to damage the hair by running the iron multiple times over each section.
  • Pick the right size flat iron - flat irons are like clothes, they are not one-size fits all. The length and thickness of your hair should determine the size of your iron.
  • Select the right heat setting on your flat iron. Your hair texture and type should determine your heat setting. Most professionals use an iron with variable heat settings. The more your iron caters to your specific hair needs, the less likely you will be to damage your hair. A simple rule to follow is: for fine or damaged hair: 250-300 degrees. For medium/average hair: 300-350 degrees. For thick or coarse hair: 350-400 degrees.

Many have tried, but only one can be the winner. I have tried: 1. COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Concealer 2. MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Concealer 3. REVOLUTION - Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer And the winner is... REVOLUTION - Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer !!!! The reason I only give it 4 stars is because I wish it were bigger! The product does run out quicker than I would like, but the product itself... *chef’s kiss* The Colourpop concealer gives wonderful coverage and lasts for a good time, which is what earned it 4 stars from me. My problem with this one is that it’s full-coverage to a fault, and almost feels cakey at times! If left on the skin for any amount of time too, it becomes very hard to blend. The Maybelline Fit Me was extremely underwhelming for me... I suppose if you already have perfect skin this could be a match for you, but if you want to conceal anything with your concealer, I’d consider swerving away from this one. The Revolution Conceal & Define trumps the competitors because of its creamy texture, perfect blend-ability, and perfect amount of coverage. When I put this over my freckles, it allows them to still shine through... BUT also when concealing acne and dark spots, it blows the competition out of the water. It is so versatile and can be used for multiple different purposes. I think I’ve found my forever concealer!! P.S. This product is only $7 at Ulta Beauty!!! Run to your nearest Ulta and snatch it up❤️

My longtime obsession with long nails //PICS!🔪
My longtime obsession with long nails //PICS!🔪
Yup, I’m that girl clickin & clackin on her phone! Sorrrry💁🏻‍♀️ 💅🏽💅🏿💅🏼💅🏾💅🏻 I’ve been obsessed with crazy long nails since i was a little kid. I got my first set of acrylics probably sophomore year of high school. I was pretty tomboy in high school even though I wore a lot of makeup, they were pretty annoying at first & the dance companies I was in banned fake nails for shows & even practice. I would get sets occasionally in college, but went to art school & they definitely get in the way with certain processes. ♿️ I got severely injured in 2014, when I was 26, & the cuticle biting habit I’ve always had was sooo bad because I literally had nothing to do all day. I was working as a server in California at the time, so I was definitely not allowed to have fake nails or nail polish of any kind. I ended up returning to acrylics full time after I got injured & I could finally stop biting my cuticles! The nails just look so pretty, I felt less eager to mess with them & the nails are thicker than a natural nail so you can’t pick at your skin (or pop pimples with this length! Plus!) 💔 A combination of moving away from my favorite nail tech, ( TONY I LOVE YOU & OH HOW MISS YOU SO! ) & obviously quarantine, forced me to abandon my long fake nails for now. The damage: Getting full acrylic sets & fills pretty much non-stop for almost 6 years, my real nails were not cute, thin & brittle. I was so lucky to have a very talented & meticulous technician for the last 2 of those years. I honestly never had any of the nasty issues some people can face with acrylics. What are acrylics? Acrylic nails are created by first applying a plastic nail extension with glue to part of your nail to add length. Then a powder & liquid acrylic monomer are combined into a sort of “blob of dough” & shaped onto your nails with a brush & air dried. Next they will be further shaped & smoothed with manual & electric files. A GOOD tech will take about 2 hours, not less. I always chose gel polish that’s cured with a UV light on top of my acrylics, but you can also just do regular nail polish. I worked up to this length- they make me feel like myself, know what I mean? But I wouldn’t recommend starting off long if you aren’t used to it. Your natural nails grow out & then in 2-3 weeks you can get what’s called a “fill”, where your polish is removed & a small amount of the monomer is applied to the base of your nail bed & blended into what you already have on your nail. Quarantine: Had my last real set in February... I ordered long press-ons a few times, which I really loved, but they’re just not the same strength-wise. I was actually kinda rough on my nails & rarely broke them. At least when press-ons pop off, you can just glue it back on instead of rushing to the salon! I’ve had fun trying ones with gems & charms! In the past I stuck to solid colors & glitter with acrylics due to the cost & sitting time. IMO the best press-ons are from black owned business, Hawt Nailz!
same series of the same brand?NECESSARY🙇🏼‍♀️
same series of the same brand?NECESSARY🙇🏼‍♀️
When shampooing hair, the alkaline ingredients in the shampoo will swell the hair, expand the hair scales, and produce rich foam to break down the dirt attached to the hair crevices. After shampooing, the hair will become rough and stiff. The acidic components in the conditioner can neutralize the remaining alkaline components, balance the HP value, and the hair will become soft. But I have been thinking about a question, shampoo and conditioner must be used in a pair? I mean, must it be the same series of the same brand? I recently bought a new set of Bamford products. This is my first time using this brand of hair care products. This brand was born in the UK, and the whole series are made of organic ingredients. The Geranium series I bought also include body oil, hand cream, sleep spray and so on. The smell is a touch of woody fragrance, which I like. Whether it is shampoo or conditioner, it will not feel strange slippery when applied to the hair. Overall, the experience is pretty good. But I decided to separate the same brand’s shampoo and conditioner. I tried BAMFORD's shampoo and KERASTASE repair conditioner. Let me talk about the performance of this mix. 1. Because my scalp is prone to oi, so I care most about is oil control performance. The effect of using the original suit is the same as using the mix product, and the hair starts to have oil after two days. 2. The biggest drawback is that the scent of shampoo and conditioner are inconsistent, causing the hair to product a mixed smell. It's not very comfortable actually. In summary, the main ingredients of the conditioner are the same, and the effects are basically the same. The difference between the non-matching conditioner and the matching conditioner is basically the difference in taste, and will not affect the effect of the product. Therefore, different brands of shampoo and conditioner can also be used, but the matching products will have a better experience in use. bamford - bamford Botanic Shampoo bamford - bamford Botanic Conditioner
