I Cut the B.S. Out of My Skincare Routine for 2 Weeks. Here's How It Went. For me, skincare is all about keeping things simple. No B.S. Makes that easy.

From dryness to texture, I've been struggling since day one living in sunny Southern California. However, this all came to a head about 3 weeks ago. My skin was flaky, I had a new breakout every other day, and I felt so helpless without access to my usual derm and facialist!Going for a detoxI did a LOT of research to see how I could help my skin through the changing seasons and excess time indoors. I decided I needed to develop a minimal ingredient, antioxidant skin detox. I'd keep my current cleanser and moisturizer because my skin seems to react positively to them, but other than that I would be swapping out all my other acne treatments, masks, and serums for some limited ingredient products.Enter No B.SNo B.S. is "revolutionizing skincare with clean formulas, real results, and a radically honest beauty culture we can all get behind." When I tell you I LOVE their philosophy, I mean it! I'm all about clean skincare and an honest brand, so I was very excited to try out a couple of their products. My No B.S FavesOver the course of two weeks, I tried the Vitamin C+E Serum and the new Antioxidant COQ10 Cream to see if their powerful antioxidant and detoxifying properties would help my tired, textured skin. As a bonus, I also tried the No B.S. Body Moisturizer! Here's how it went:Vitamin C+E Serum - 4.5/5 starsIn skincare, vitamin C and E are both powerful antioxidants that promote skin brightness and sun protection. This serum also contains "antioxidant superheroes" pomegranate and green tea which help to reduce inflammation, help heal damaged skin, and prevent premature aging. As far as serums go, I haven't used many. Typically, I'll go for a brightening tumeric serum during the day and an overnight resurfacing serum. But No B.S. helped me simplify my routine greatly! This serum helped heal my damaged, textured skin in only a few days! Then, when I continued using it over the course of 2 weeks, I continued to see marked improvements in texture, brightness, inflammation, and tightness. The texture is very wet, but not too thick. The only complaint I have is that it definitely feels a bit sticky while it dries. However, when it dries down completely it doesn't feel sticky at all.

no b.s.Vitamin C + E SerumAntioxidant COQ10 Cream - 3/5 starsA great alternative to Retinols, COQ10 is great for more sensitive skin. CoenzymeQ10 (CoQ10) is a supplement that energizes and protects cells from oxidative damage to keep your skin young, elastic, and strong. Combined with hyloronic acid, squalene, and jojoba oil for moisture, the No B.S. Antioxidant COQ10 Cream is one for the books.
no b.s.Antioxidant CoQ10 CreamBONUS: Body Moisturizer - 5/5 starsAs a bonus, I was gifted a sample of the No B.S. Body Moisturizer! Packed with Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Rosehip Oil, and Green Tea, this is one of the best lotions I've ever tried! It left my skin feeling nourished, moisturized, and soft without feeling oily or sticky. This was definitely my favorite product out of the 3 I tried.

DIY Shimmer Oil
I’m going to be honest. I avoid the sun at all costs and I am too lazy to self tan, but I really really like the look of glowy skin in the summer. I can’t help it. In my quest for the perfect glow, I stumbled upon a few shimmer oils but was blown away by the prices. $59 for 3 oz of body oil? No thanks... The thing is, I do use body oil daily. I like to put it on over my moisturizer (CeraVe moisturizing cream) to lock it in, but I also like that it gives a little sheen to my skin. Plus the scent is amazing. That’s when I got to thinking, why not make my own shimmer oil? Using stuff I already had, I was able to whip this up in 10 minutes and the result is a subtle glow and shine that lasts all day. Here’s how to do it: 1. Grab a body oil of your choice. I like Palmer’s because the scent is sweet and it absorbs really well into the skin. An oil works better than a lotion because it has a subtle glaze-y glow to it already. Plus you don’t have to break the bank. Here are some good ones: PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil Neutrogena - Body Oil Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil 2. Grab a powdered highlighter (pressed or loose, cream will not work) that blends well with your skin tone. Test it on your arm to make sure it blends to a slight glimmer without any light or dark cast to it. The more translucent the better. I used doucce pressed highlighter in “solstice” because I had it laying around. If your highlighter is pressed, use a spoon to remove it from its container and stir until it’s broken up. Here are some ones I like: doucce - Freematic Highlighter Mono wet n wild - MegaGlo Loose Highlighting Powder NYX - Shimmer Down Pigment 3. Using a funnel (or a piece of paper wrapped into a cone), combine about 1/2tsp of powdered highlighter to your body oil, close and shake. Add more for a more dramatic effect, up to 1tsp of highlighter. 4. Apply daily over moisturizer or directly to skin! And that’s it! Go get your glow on. -XOK
How to get the smoothest and straightest hair
Tips: grap a section! comb out ! section! “C” shape ghd - Silver Moon Gold Styler Set Upbeat Collection A RPO way of actual application is to find the tooth of the comb, place the iron in right behind the fine tooth and move it through with the comb down to the end. Make sure your comb is heat resistant so you don't have to worry about it moving with your iron. By using the comb here is to use the tooth leading the straight hair right into the mouth of the iron. This would give the best result. If you dont comb it out before iron, you are just cook the knots and tangles and bends into your hair. Dont suggest horizontal sections, leave hair flat looking. People want smooth hair when they look for a straightener.if your iron is not giving you a smooth finish with one single pass through the section, then you'll probably need to search for a new one. You dont want spend double or tripple the prices on masques or serums for damaged hair. When you are done with parting into sections, you are ready to iron. Grap a section, comb out your hair before. Hold that portion and go close to the scalp, pull straight down, slowly steady. When you are about to go a little close to the root area. and slide it down and got a nice finish. Make sure you are pulling toward your face and creating“C” shape into your face and run your fingers through it finished and smooth end .Pulling and steady all the way down to the end and get a nice flat finished shinny section. it's easier to comb your hair right away. give the hair a little movement, pull the section in the back to the side,i nstead of being stick straight. Typically I would go with a second pass, but that depend on your hair type and temperature setting.
